Only getting two group type options?
Hi, Fairly new to setting up our ITunes U site. When ever I make a course and then edit the page and click on the tab, I only get two options, feed and smart for types. I do not get the options Upload and Manage or Web Services.
I don't know if I have missed a setting ? Any help to point me in the right direction would be most appreciated.

my apologises for not being very clear. Please find an image attached, which I hope is more meaningful. As you can see from the image I am trying to choose a way to upload videos onto the course I have created. I understand that I must choose from Type: I only have two choices feed or smart , I don't have any options to use either upload and manage videos or web services? Not really sure how else I can get video onto my course.

I downloaded ibooks to my ipad so that I can save PDF files to ibooks but I do not get an "open in ibooks" message to select. When I choose the icon, I only get mail or print option.
Where are these PDFs coming from? What do you mean by "save PDF files to ibooks" and then "I do not get an 'open ibooks' message? If they are saved to ibooks (I assume you used itunes to save a dragged in PDF to the ibooks panel in apps) then you should be able to open and view them in ibooks. If they are not in ibooks (I'm assuming this is the case, since you want to get an "open in ibooks" option from the *share* icon, right?) then where are they on the mini, which app?

under how to restore it says right click then select restore. I only get eject Why?
The devices that are listed are: 2 under the name of the device that synced incorrectly with mine and then 3 others that are not associated with my itouch. The name of the ipod, before the incorrect sycning is no longer under devices. It has been replaced with the incorrect one because I can see the serial # of my ipod under the wrong name.
The playlists that are in my itunes library are from an ipod that I used a few times before I took this one over... Which happens to be the ipod that took on the ID of my itouch.
Both of these ipods used to be my kids.. I used my sons a few times and then switched to my daughters. They each had their names attachted to their particular devices and now it just says my sons, which is the ipod that itunes was connecting to when all this happened. The really strange thing is my son doesnt use his ipod any longer and now uses his phone for music...So, it had been a while since that particular device was even synced to itunes!

Only Getting 2 Bars Off My AirPort Extreme
I'm only getting two, sometimes three bars, off my AirPort Extreme (802.11n) that is positioned less then 10 ft. away. This is tolerable for my Macbook thought is really hurting the internet features on my Xbox 360, Wii and web enabled Blu-Ray player.
My basic setup is an Airport Base Station, Printer and iMac in the bedroom; with everything else in the living room. Basically all there is to block the signal is less than 12" of drywall and wood.
Any ideas how I can get a cleaner, beefed-up signal?Welcome to the discussions!
On your Mac, if you are in the area where the game consoles and Blu-Ray player are located, please hold down the "option" key while you click on the fan shaped AirPort icon at the top of your screen.
Note the values for the following:

Meanwhile, you might want to download Air Radar and use its Scan function to get an accurate reading of your signal strength at various locations. (The "bars" at the top of your screen are not a very accurate indicator of the actual signal strength) Also look for any other networks and note if they are operating on any channels that are close to your network. Air Radar is not free, but there is a 15 day trial period.

I am trying to factory restore my macbook air, I tried following a youtube video performing the option + power button and am only getting the macintosh HD option not the recovery HD option. Is there another way to reset the computer?
The proper shortcut is COMMAND-R, not COMMAND-PowerButton. See the following:

Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible

Struggling to have two document type attributes in the same notification
Hi All,
I need some help. I am working with Oracle Time and Labor, and am trying to get two document type attributes to play nice in the same notification message body.
One documentation type attribute is made available to me. Here is its attribute value:

The second one I created as a PLSQL document. This one I have simplified to just a 'Hello World'.
When both are in the message body at the same time, the notification message body looks like this (the name of one of the document type attributes is 'TIMECARD'):

When either document type attribute exists by itself in the message, everything works as planned.
Any suggestions?I think the problem here is caused when you token - substitute an attribute which appears in another attribute.
Suppose that you have two document type attributes as shown below:
1. CONTENT whose value is:
plsqlclob:PA_PWP_NOTIFICATION.SHOW_PWP_NOTIFY_PREVIEW/&CONTENT_ID
and
2. CONTENT_ID whose value is: 11629
Now, what happens is, while token substituting &CONTENT_ID in the first attribute, &CONTENT_ID is possibly being broken into
&CONTENT and replaced with a null value and then ID is left as is. The problem seems to be because CONTENTID is used
inside another attribute CONTENT.
The workaround here is to change the name of attribute CONTENT to some other name or change the attribute name CONTENT_ID
to something different.
In your case I suppose that the names of attributes you are having may be similar or one being subset of other. You can avoid the
problem by having different names (or name which is not part of another attribute's name).
If this does not solve the problem you can generate output of $FND_TOP/sql/wfmlrdbg.sql output for this notification id.

Itunes 10.6.1.7 problem: when I change the file "media type" from 'Music' to 'Podcast' the file disapears from ITUNES. I do this via (1) right click, (2) select 'Get Info', (3) select 'options' tab, and (4) change media type. What is the problem?

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

I was attempting to update my ipad to the newest OS system and it crashed... I came back with it saying that it had an error and did not update. Now I only get the iTunes logo on the ipad witht he usb cord picture.
I have gone into iTunes & it says I have to do a restore. But it does not give me the RESTORE from Backup option. Only the Restore to Factory Settings. Is this normal?

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident
You have a corporate MS Exchange account and your Exchange administrator installed a security profile on your phone that requires the phone'a contents to be encrypted. This, in turn, requires the backup to be encrypted for obvious reasons.

There are also some scam password crackers available that don't actually work and possibly steal your information. It's likely that a developer of one or more of these will post a response with a link (possibly hidden) to their "product". I can't email a photo directly from iPhoto. First, I only have two "themes" to choose from instead of 8, and when prompted to fill in the "to" and "from", the "from" box has "MobileMe" already in it, and I can't get rid of or change it. I have OSXLion
I understand, as that was the place I would change it before 8.3 but now that option of Mail Days to Sync is not available? Any idea why that would be?

My iPhone4s was recently replaced by apple due to grey out on wifi. when I went to sync with my laptop my iPhoto library disapeared and I was left with an empty library. I cannot find my old library on my laptop. I only get one option for a library when i open iPhoto while holding down option key. I am worried I have lost all my photos. there seems ot be no iPhoto library on my iCloud either.
Any suggestions?Syncing with an iPhone should not delete the iPhoto library on your mac. It only will upload photos to the phone (iTunes sync) or import (connecting by USB). How did you sync your phone?
TD, do you know of any way, that a sync could delete an iPhoto Library on a Mac?
You may have opened a wrong library or may be working from a different user account. Are you using the same user name and Apple ID as before?
How have you searched for iPhoto libraries? Have you searched with Spotlight?
Each iPhoto library contains a file called "Library6.iPhoto" - even if your iPhoto library should no longer be recognisable as photolibrary, this file should be found:
Type "Library6" into the "Spotlight" search field in the upper right corner of your screen, like this:
When you see a list of files, select one of them and hold down the key combination ⌥⌘ to reveal the path to the file.
If Spotlight cannot find the file in the packages, use "FindAnyFile" http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile

It is not possible to combine two movement into one
1. Movement 531 - is for By product
At the time of production confirmation, the by-product that is produced gets transferred to the respective location. In this case the SCRAP, the goods movement takes place with the movement type 531 Receipt of by-product into unrestricted use.
2. Movement 541 - is for sending the material to the subcontracting end.

If someone includes a photo in the email body message (I use yahoo), if I right click on the image to save it to my computer, I only get the option to save it as a firefox document - secure download. If I save it as such and then click on the link, it takes me to a page full of weird code.
Please advise. I would like to be able to right click on the photo as save the image to my computer.If Firefox doesn't saves the image with a valid image file extension like .jpg or .png then you need to add that file extensions yourself. You can rename already saved images and change the file extension to get working images. Add quotes around the name while renaming ("image.jpg") if Windows hides the current file extension or refuses to change the name (i.e you get image.jpg.html).
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
