Only Production order Based on SO

HI Experts...
how to do the settings for planned/production order only based on sale order..
the the raw material requirement based on forecast..
If there is no sale order no planned or production order..
but based on forecast the requirement will generate only for raw material planning.
I mean Raw material planning based on forecast..
and Production or finished goods planning based on sale order.

Sri Ram,
You have several options open to you.
First you need to decide where you will forecast.  You mentioned RM planned by forecast.  Will you Forecast each RM?  Or will you forecast your subassemblies? Or will you forecast Finished goods?  Or....?
Also, you need to think about where (if anywhere) you will keep inventories.  RM?  SubAssys?  (Obviously, not FGs, since you don't want any orders except to support a Sales order).
So, here are the planning strategies that may be useful to you.  I will exclude any characteristics based strategies for now
Forecasting FGs
Strategy 50 http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/e0/71bb199c9f11d191920000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm
Strategy 52 http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/a2/4e79a0927d11d1800f00c04fadcb73/frameset.htm
Strategy 63 http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/a2/4e79a3927d11d1800f00c04fadcb73/frameset.htm
Or you can use straight MTO at FGs
Strategy 20 http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/e0/71bb1f9c9f11d191920000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm
Combined with forecasting at a lower level in the BOM
Strategy 70 http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/1a/c2ba8c935011d1801000c04fadcb73/frameset.htm
There are other ways as well.

  • Segregation of Production orders based on System status

    Hi Experts,
I need your inputs to our requirement, We are sending Production orders to third party tool (TPT)for detailed scheduling, so Production Orders based on
Order status need to be classified and send in such way to TPT.
    Requirement is
Just REL or CRTD (No Confirmations carried out, no TECO, NO CLSD)             = OPEN
PCNF or PDLV or GMPS (will be accompanied with REL only No CLSD, TECO) = WIP,
CLSD or CNF, or DLV or TECO                                                                      = CLOSE
So we are fetching the list of order from database tables not using MD_Stockrequirement_List function module,
Is there any way to call BAPI and then use status profiles to  classify the list of production orders we are getting now based on our logic.
or need to pass this list of Production orders to JEST table and do some coding to get this classification. But using JEST table its difficult for coding to get the requirement satisfied, because for one Production order there will be many order status as REL PCNF PDLV GMPSPRCMACM etc.
    Please provide inputs.
    Thanks
    Naga

    Hello Naga
You should use BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_GET_LIST to get a list of production orders, instead of MD_Stockrequirement_List.
Alternatively, you can use BAPI_PRODORDCONF_GETDETAIL to get the details of a production order.

  • Bapi or FM or tabel or any standard transaction code for Production order linking to get child production orders based on parent production order

    Dear Guru's,
we have a requirement i.e. user can convert planned orders in to production orders (CO41) based on those production orders we can get Route card( Z Smart form)  presently we are using manual input for that Route card. recently we got requirement for this i.e. make to automatic generation of route card for this requirement we need to get the list of child's production orders based on parent production order
so as per my requirement i need to get all child part numbers production orders based on parent production order number and quantity i tried in MD4C and CO46 but those transactions codes are picking multiple lines also so for this requirement please give your valuable suggestions

    Dear Friends,
    Thanks for your reply,
My business process is MTS purely strategy 10, for route card all components with production orders we can give input as like bellow these production orders are converted from planned orders, between few components are don't have production orders those are F-30 materials, because of this reason i need link for production order to child components orders

  • PCC vs Production Order Based Costing

    Hi,
Please reply back difference between PCC and Production Order Based Costing.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Hi,
PCC is product cost collector which is  used in mostly REM process.
    1. Here you have to creat the product cost collector mean sthe cost is based on period, when u create PCC you are creating the priliminary cost means the quanity strucure costing considering BOM , activity prize and the cost from costing sheet i.e admin cost, etc .
    2. In product cost collector the the cost of document posted in backflush is posted periodiclly. For that u have to run standard cost run i. CK11N and CK24. monthly.
    3. but in Production oredr or Process order thre is no PCC instaed of PCC the cost is settle with the settlement profile defined in OPL8 i.e order type dependent parameter SPRO.
    4. Each prd ord is REL,CNF and TECO when the status is TECO means the logistic point of view the order is complet now ready to costing .
5 Then FI consultant settle this order
    6. here order based costing no period based costing
    hope u r prob solve..

  • Capacity for only Production orders only.

    Hi
I am checking capacity loads in CM01.
In this t-code its considering my Planned orers also.
I want to capacity load for production orders only.
we dont want during planned orders stage.
where can i check.. what are the settings i have to do for checking capacity for only production orders.
    Regards,
    srihari.M

    Srihari,
    This is a standard requirement.
Planned orders in a non-repetitive environment typically are not dispatched nor confirmed.  They do not, therefore, become part of the 'Basic Load'.  The capacity requirements of planned orders are there mostly so you can view the capacity requirements in sum with the production order capacity requirements (CM01 and similar).  They do not 'consume' from total available capacity.  When performing a capacity check of a production order, it will not 'see' the capacity requirements of the undispatched planned orders.

  • Capacity planning and schedulng production order based on availabe capacity

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to use capacity planning, when the production order is created it takes the order start date as the requirement date. Then when i do he capaity check it says capaity not available. After finite scheduling again it proposes to shift operations by certain days.
I need the capity to be check in MRP and the palled orders to have start dates based on aviable capity, currenty all the palled orders are starting on the requirement date irresptive of avaiabe capaity. I tried using finite scheduling option in MD02 still it does not take in to account exsting production orders for giving dates of the planned orders.

    Dear Abhishek,
    1) This is Std SAP of MRP, only material Av check will be carried out in MRP & create procurement

    2) Capacities will not Checked  ( consider ) in MRP in Std R/3
    3) Your Need can be only met through APO

  • Process to split production order based on the raw material batches

Hi All, below is a business situation which needs some some SAP process to help overcoming this issue.
We are working on process industry, where the core fabric (SFG) are produced from different machines and which are used as raw material in the subsequent process (Coating).  Business wants SAP to generate individual planned orders for Coating when it uses this materials
    e.g
    Current situation.
SFG1  is the component of SFG2
SFG2 is  the component of FG.
When the demand for FG is 100, you get 2 planned orders  SFG1- 100 yd and  SFG2- 100 yds
During production, the Planned order for SFG1 is split for 2 production order  each producing 50 yds each.
    Now I have SFG1 - 50 yds ( Batch A001), and SFG1- 50 yds ( Batch A002).
Now Business wants  SAP to automatically propose 2 order for SFG2, However based on MRP it will  only show 1 planned order of 100 yds required for SFG2 since the demand of FG is 100.
We want to split the planned orders of the higher level to look at lower level stock.
    Any ideas or thought process.
    Regards
    Sarvan

    Sarvan,
You can have MRP propose two lots of SFG2 based upon lot sizing.  For instance, if you always will want SFG2 to have orders of 50 each, then one way to achieve this would be to set the 'maximum lot size' to 50.  MRP1 Tab of the material master.
There are other lotsizing methodologies that may be better suited to your business requirements as well.

  • Dyanmic work center selection in production order based on material

    Hi ALL,
We’ve a business requirement to support the following functionality.
There are four similar type of milling machines say MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, we create a single work center called MILLMC by specifying total capacity of four milling machines in the capacity header screen of work center with 4 individual capacities. And we mention work center MILLMC in the operation of routings for respective materials.
However, during production order creation, there needs to be provision for detailed planning of work centers as per the following requirements
In production order, some operations can be performed on any one of the machines MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, so provision needs to be there to enter exact machine on which it is performed in the production order operation after the details are copied from respective routing during production order creation.
In production order, some operations can be performed on only MILL3, so system should select only MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order
In production order, some operations can be performed on either MILL1 or MILL2 or MILL4 and not on MILL3, so system should not select MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order.
Please provide your valuable feedback to support the above requirements.
    Regards,
    Satya.

    Hi Satyanarayan,
Please do refer to the below document. I think the same concept can be used for work centers as it is used for resources in PI industry.

  • Search Production Orders based on Sales Order

    HI,
    Ours is MTO scenario.
How to find Production Order number(s) based on Sales Order.
We are getting in AFPO, but if the process starts from Enquiry or Quotation then there is difficulty.
Because there can be multiple documents of enquiry or quotation.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks

Did you try T code  COOIS - Order Information System?
Here you can enter the sales order # ( Single values, range etc.) and get a list pf Production Orders?

  • Collective production order link based on parent production order in MTS with strategy 10

    Dear Team,
Now we are using MTS Production order system with strategy 10,As per my Business requirement we need to take all the child components production
orders based on the Parent component production order .In this case for planned order conversion we are using CO40 transaction code(i.e. Collective conversion) as well as all planned orders  generated through MRP. As per my business process we are using Route cards which are Z smart forms with all Production orders from parent to child component with quantity is taken as a PDF printout,As per our customer requirement we will store those Route cards up to next 15 years. When user has to check Production order linking at any point of time, this functionality is not available for MTS. I tried MD4C but it is not a best solution for my business requirement. So please provide any another standard solution available for this requirement.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Krishna.

There is another suggestion that you can determine the costing indicator in the requirement class. you can get the requirement type from procurement page in the sales order header, then go the customizing menu to find out which requirement class has been assigned to the requirement type. Then you can get the "costing" and "mark" indicator.
The customizing menu is the node of controlling - cost object controlling -> CO PC for sales order.
Correct me if i am wrong, thanks.

  • Production order release based on operation

    Hi friends
How to release production order based on operations ?
    pl help me

    Hi
The real time scenario is to select release operation wise is:
If you are expecting any change in the subsequent operations after starting of production  say first opration, you will opt for this .
I do not find any advantage if you release all operations at a time in mass processing. It is as goods as releasing at header level.
Normally in such cases one can opt for  trigger points in which system will release successive oprations automatically when preceding operation is confirmed.
If you want manually release the operations you can select the operation which you want release & press release button in operation overview screen.
    Hope it is clear now.

  • Creation of Production order in Past dates using RFC

    Hi all,
I am using RFC to Create a production order based on the datas available from MES systems. Here the process flow is From MES system datas are passed to interface in file format then from interface will calll the RFC so that the RFC will do the function of Creating the Production order & release in SAP.
Here i face an issue that i have 3 shifts at the end of every shift i have to tranfer the datas from MES to SAP .Which means i have to create 3 Production orders for a day.My issue here is the third shift datas will be availble for me in the next day morning after that only i am able to transfer theses datas to SAP.In this case i want the SAP to create th Production order  for third shift in the Previous day time.
    Ashift - 7AM t0 3PM
    BShift-3PM to 11PM
CShift-11 PM to Next day morning 7 AM
I need SAP to create Production order for Shift C on 11 PM of the Previous day when i transfer it on next day morning 7AM.
    Is this possible.
    Thanks in Advance,
    MBN

    Hi,
I mean the Production Created date as the basic date only.
My requirement is for the C shift i will get the output from the MES on the next day morning. After that i wwill transfer the production datas to SAP throgh Interface at that time i need the basic start date & time  of the production order to be the C shift starting time that is previous day night 11.00 PM.
    Eg.
    C shift  date 12.04.2010 night 11PM to 7AM
i transfer the c shift production datas from MES to SAP on 13/04/2010 Morning 7AM.But i want these datas to create basic start date & time of the production order on 12/04/2010  11PM.
What should be done to get these.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Material cost charge to Production Order from Cost Center / Work Center.

In Production Order Environment, is it possible that goods are issued from Storage location to Cost Center / Work Center, and in turn charged to Production Orders.
    Scenario. Transformer Manufacturing.
Production Order size : 100 Units
Steel (Kgs) per Transformer : 3 Kgs
Total Steel required for Production Order: 300 Kgs (100x3)
In the process of manufacturing of a Transformer Steel or Core winding is the first process step.
Even though the Steel required for above said Production Order is 300 Kgs, the minimum issuable lot size from stores is 2000 Kgs.
Is it possible in SAP ECC 6.0 that the Steel of 2000 Kgs is issued to a Cost Center / Work Center, and later charged to production order based on actual Consumption in the said Cost Center / Work Center.
Regards, Replies and Sugestions shall be appreciated
    Madhu

    Thank you for the reply,
However, the scenario that i had in mind was a bit different from what you had conceptualized.
Scenario - These transformers are basically for loading on to Inverters & UPS, The max weight of the transformer range from 15-30 Kgs. and they dont have an external casing of steel as seen on Indian Electricity Board transformers. Multiple production orders are processed at a single time in the Plant as per Customer specifications.
The general process followed for manufacture is as follows:
    1. Core Winding u2013 This process takes place in the core winding department. Steel reels are loaded on to Winders and individual cores of approx 5 u2013 30 Cm Diameter are produced. (Multiple reels of Steel are stacked one on top of the other onto a pallet.) Usually issue of steel from stores happens pallet wise. The pallets of steel generally weigh in excess of 2 tons.
In the present situation (Non SAP Environment) the entire pallet of Steel is issued to the Core winding department and later the Output is charged to multiple Production Orders, based on the records of the Core winding dept. Since in general the steel content in the FG ranges from 3- 25 Kgs multiple Production Orders can be catered to from one Pallet of Steel.
    2. Core Laithing. The wound cores are laithed so as to make the sides smooth.
    3. Core Annealing u2013 Heat treatment process.
    4. Core Insulation. u2013 Insulation of the annealed cores with insulating material.
    5. Primary Winding. u2013 Copper is wound as per the BOM Specification. The issue like that of Steel also arises in the Copper winding process. Here also the Cooper comes in Spools which far exceed the requirement for any Production Order. The minimum issueable lot for Copper from Stores is one Spool. The current practice followed is that the Cooper is taken in the name of the Copper winding department and later charged to individual Production Orders.
    6. Primary Soldering.
    7. Mid Insulation.
    8. Secondary Winding
    9. Secondary Soldering
    10. Shielding
    11. Final Insulation u2013 Same issue with insulation too, since the insulating material comes in rolls.
    12. Testing.
    13. Potting & Drilling - Process of pouring a chemical compound in the center of the transformer, which helps the transformer to later be loaded on an Inverter. The same issue with like of Steel, Copper & Insulation arises here too, since the chemical compound comes in big containers capable of meeting production requirement for a week.
    14. Packing
    15. Transfer to FG Inventory.
One of the suggestions was to issue the entire 2000 Kgs to the Production Order and then return 1700 kgs after completion of the Production Order based on actual usage. However, in my opinion this option might not be practicable because, assuming that I get another / multiple Production orders in between the issue of 2000 Kgs and return of 1700 Kgs, issue to the new Production order will not be possible if the stock in stores was only 2000 Kgs initially. In case assuming that the material is available in stores for the next production order, the situation could worsen in case of receipt of multiple production orders.
Hope, I have explained the scenario & issue being faced.
    Regards
    Madhu

  • Feature Request: production order after proforma invoice

    Hello all,
we found out that a process often used in reality is not covered by SBO.
Given the case you have an article consisting of a BOM. A customer orders this article, you create a proforma invoice, the customer pays and then the article is produced and delivered to the customer.
In SBO you cannot create a production order based on an sales order, when a proforma invoice is created. The proforma invoice closes the sales order and production orders can only be based on open sales orders.
It should be possible to habe production orders based on proforma invoices or on closed sales orders to cover this scenario.
    Thanks
        Frank

In version 2007, you can create a Down Payment Invoice, which does not close the sales order.
