Open an input schedule from a link

Ok, so without saving everything under eAnalyse > report Library > Wizard, and using evHOT. how do I open an input schedule located in eSubmit > Open Schedule Library. I can save them in the wizards folder there if needed. But seems like it should be easy to do. I saw another post that said there was a macro, but didn't describe how to pass the paramaters.
Im trying to build a process flow directly in excel, and want a link that launches the schedule. (i know there is a process flow feature, we hate it)

Try this:
EvMNU
The EvMNU (menu) function allows you to create links that launch BPC menu tasks, modules, or run macros. These functions are commonly used in custom menus (see Defining menu content: Action) and for adding custom buttons to your reports and input schedules (see Adding custom buttons).
Syntax
EvMNU(MacroName,DisplayName,Parameter)
MacroName: The name of the macro you want to invoke. BPC provides several custom macros that contain the prefix MNU. See BPC menu commands.
You can also use the following macro commands in addition to the MNU menu commands.
·                 OPENFILE u2014 Opens a workbook. Defaults to the &ldots;/Webfolders//eExcel directory, unless a full path is defined.
·                 CLOSEEXCEL u2014 Shuts down Microsoft Excel.
·                 OPENWEBFOLDER u2014 Opens the named Webfolder.
·                 SETCV u2014 Sets the CurrentView. An example might be:
EvMNU(SETCV,,ENTITY=SalesUS;TIME=2004.JAN)
·         You can string multiple EvMNU functions together using the "&" operator. For example, you can set the CurrentView for a file you are opening like this:

DisplayName: The text the user clicks to launch the menu task.
Parameter: The macro parameter. Most macros require information, such as file names or member names, in order to function. This is where you define that information.
Example: The following example creates a hyperlink named "Analysis" that opens the myAnalysis.xls workbook.

How to build dynamic input schedule from version

Hi experts,
I want to create an input schedule based on my category selection which will allow users to enter data to budget part but changing the actual part is prohibited.
For example I have category member which is 2010-09-1. This means I am working on 2010 Budget which has 9 periods of actual and 3 periods of forecast and 2011 Budget. In my input schedule I would have 24 months from 01.2010 to 12.2011 and I will copy actual to budget for the first 9 months but I do not want users to change first 9 months actual data from input schedule.
What solution can you propose for this in BPC NW ?

Hi Ergin,
From the description you have provided, I guess you will have the TIME dimension in the Column. The CATEGORY would be set to 2010-09-1, lets suppose. In this case, the first 9 columns should be locked for any changes. For this, you need to use the Data Validation technique, which is native to Excel.
select an empty cell, lets say D1. in this cell, you should fetch the value "2010-09" from the version "2010-09-1". If the version is changed to "2010-10-1", the cell D1 will be automatically updated and will show "2010-10". In the column, in the row just above the Time dimension, write a formula to fetch the year and monthnum property of the Time member. Lets say, the time dimension members are displayed in the cells E4 to AB4 (24 columns for 24 months). In the cell E2, you can write the formula, =EVPRO("application name",E$4,"YEAR")&"-"&EVPRO("application Name",E$4,"MonthNum"). This will return 2010-01 in the cell E2 for the member 2010.JAN. Similarly, for 2010.FEB, the cell should display "2010-02". We will keep the formula in E2 only. After the expansion, the formula also will be expanded for the other cells.
Select the first data cell of the EVDRE report. Open Data Validation. In the Settings Tab, in the Formula field, write =D1>E$2. Then go to the error alert tab and choose the style as stop and give some title and message. This would typically mean that if value of D1 (in this case 2010-09) is not greater than E2 (in this case 2010-01), then the error message will be displayed, when we try to enter values in these cells. And it will not allow to enter any value.
Once the EVDRE is expanded, this data validation will be copied into all the other data cells. So, in this way, the enter input schedule can be kept dynamic.

Hi Chandrakanth,
if you want only the template the easiest is just copy the xlt file from the same folder from one server to the other.
If you want to copy all the environment (even data) you can use backup and restore from the server manager (appset\server backup save the zip file on the destination environment and restore it).

Suddenly I am unable to open a web page from a link in an email (eg notification from facebook) - usually have to unistall and then re-install but this is a nu

without any changes i am aware of, firefox suddenly stops opening from links in emails (thunderbird).
e.g. notifications from facebook.
Usually when this occurs I un-install and then re-install firefox and that fixes the problem but of course it interrupts what I'm doing and takes time. Is there a known cause and fix for this failure to open?

How can I stop my home page from opening OVER a page from a link I just clicked on?

If I click on a link from an email, Firefox always opens 2 pages with my home page (Google) covering up the page I clicked the link to go to. How can I stop it from doing that?

There's a good chance this is related to a bug that kicks in when you do not have Flash running in any tab and you open a new window to a page that does use Flash: suddenly, the previous window (typically the one from which you launched the link or bookmark) comes back to the front.

Want to open an Excel Spreadsheet from a link.

I am working with financial website and it has a link to a Excel Spreadsheet already design to performa complex calculation. Spreadsheet is in Excel. Clicking on the link does not open it and I cannot figure how to get it to open in Numbers - any ideas.

This note, from a cell in the Excel spreadsheet, likely explains the difficulty:
If you are using on older version of Excel, you may need to install an “Add-In.” On the Tools menu at the top of your screen, click Add-Ins. Select the Analysis ToolPak box, and then click OK. If necessary, follow the instructions in the setup program.
The add-ons in Excel's Analysis Toolpak are, to the best of my knowledge, not supported in Numbers.

I am using Windows 7 and ever since my last update to firefox 8, the browser seems to hang up when I open a new tab from a link. This happens when I go to a news story or even when I go to your support window.

I have tried to disable all my add-on modules but it doesn't make a difference. I have run chrome alongside Firefox and can open all the tabs fine, and I can watch Firefox just spin the processing icon and never load. I can hit the reload tab a bunch of times and sometimes part of the page will appear. If I hit the refresh tab while its processing sometimes it will bring up the page.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

How do I get pdfs to open in IE 9 from web links and not in Acrobat Pro 10.1.12

We are unable to open pdfs in IE9 browser for our users with Acrobat Pro 10.1.12 installed as these files open in AcrobatPro instead. Works fine for those users with Adobe Reader installed.
I have checked in IE that the add-ons are enabled (Adobe PDF, Adobe PDF Conversion Tool, SmartSelect Class, + Adobe Reader[via the Run without permission list] as per the link Acrobat Help | Display PDF in browser | Acrobat, Reader XI
OS is MS Windows 2008 Server R2 + Citrix.
NB Adobe Pro Preferences\Internet\Web Browser Options\Display PDF in browser is disabled to I can't change this.

You might need to refer this kB file and troubleshoot the same:

Also, you might go to registry (Wind+R->type regedit) and navigate to:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe
Then, please check that correct default data value is set to the path where Acrobat is installed.
The default installation value is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.1\Acrobat\AcroRd32.exe" (Check for your PC)

Opening Input Schedule getting Run Time Error -1004

When i am opening few Input Schedules , i am getting this error message:
Run Time error -1004.
Cannot run the Macro 'auto open'. The Macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros my be disabled.
But when i am clicking on the END button in the Pop Up Window, i can go ahead with my Input Schedules.
Can you please throw some idea on the same.

Yeah i have saved it once in a xltm format through ParknGo option. But now i have savIing it the Input Schedule Folder in the following Path Location
C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\<APPSET>\<APPLICATION>\EEXCEL\INPUT SCHEDULES.
So when i am opening the same from the above location i am getting the error.
Now i have change the name and save it as a xlt format and still getting the error.

Can anyone help me with my problem. I need to open a child window from a link in the mother/master window. Actually, the link that would open the child window is directed to a servlet that retrieves data from the database. The data will then be displayed in the child window. I don't how to open a new window with the data retrieve (thru the servlet) displayed in it. I'm using model 2 architecture (Servlet-JSP).

I was wondering if anybody out there had the code for an applet that will spawn Internet Explorer application and open up a specific address.
How we want it to work. From a link open a page that will spawn Internet Explorer with the help of the applet. Is it do-able or not?
