Open Particular Panel on Accordion in Detail Region

I am using the accordion to display details (detail region)
when a row on a separate table is selected. Panel 3 is showing
after I select one row on the table and then click on Panel 3 which
is the behavior I want and expect, but if I select another row on
the table, I want Panel 1 to be shown NOT Panel 3 (which was still
open from the previous selection). Is there a way when an accordion
is used as the detail (in a master/detail scenario) that when each
time a particular row in the master table is selected, that you can
program that a particular accordion panel (in the detail) will
display?
I know that there is a way to program a link to go to a
particular panel, but I couldn't get it to work when I tried
putting the "onclick" event on the TR of the "master" table.

Hi Bradley,
The onclick on a TR should work:
<tr onclick="acc.openPanel(0); return
false;">...</tr>
<div id="Accordion1" class="Accordion">
</div>
<script>
acc = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1");
</script>
What was the problem you were having?

  • Globally open and close all accordion panels

    Is there a way to globally open and close all accordion
    panels? For example, it would be nice to have an "Expand all" and
    "Collapse all" link at the top of the page, before the accordion,
    that has this functionality.

    Hi FM_n_DC,
    Accordions can only ever have a single panel open. If you
    want individual control over which panels are open you probably
    want to use a CollapsiblePanelGroup. This sample shows how to open
    all and close all of the panels of the CollapsiblePanelGroup:

  • Spry Validation in Spry Detail Region

    I am trying to pre-populate an "update" data form using a

    left, and the detail in a tab on the right. A second "edit" tab

    Thanks for looking.

    Hi jmortimer,
    What you need to do is trigger the constructors for your
    validation widgets every time the region updates. To do this, you
    need to either move the constructor calls into your region, *or*
    call the constructors from an onPostUpdate observer on your region.
    To see an example of this, look here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/accordion/AccordionSample2.html
    Just a note ... don't move the constructor for your tabbed
    panel into the region. Leave it where it is today.

  • How can I set a graphic to link to a specific detail region?

    I have a master/detail region set. Works fine. I'd like to place a graphic below the menu(master region) that would link to a certain detail region. I'm using HTML data set. Any thoughts?

    Basically, the menu and description is created via Master/Detail regions. "Partnership Opportunity" links to its designated data description. BUT what I also want to do is link the graphic below the menu to the "Partnership Opportunity" designated data description. So, whether you click on "Partnership Opportunity" in the menu or click on the graphic it will open the same data description. It's all within a local testing environment. See attached.

  • Detail region does not refresh when selecting from a drop-down list in master region

    I am using DW CS3 and have updated to version 1.6.1 of Spry.  Using an XML dataset, I am able to create a Spry table as the master region that links to a detail region that displays a small JPG graphic.  It works fine in this format (clicking on a row displays the correct graphic).  However, my table has 80 rows and requires the user to do too much scrolling. So I changed the master region to a drop-down repeat list, but the graphic does not change when a new selection is made in the drop down list.  Listed below is the code produced when I used the insert Spry Repeat List.  I got the same results when adding a spry:setrow="dsChartNurse".  I also tried -- onclick="dsChartNurse.setCurrentRow('{ds_RowID}');" -- which again made no difference.
    When I removed children from the spry:repeat, the master region displayed as a two column list of all 80 items in a drop-down list format.
    <div spry:region="dsChartNurse">
           <select name="select" spry:repeatchildren="dsChartNurse">
             <option value="{name}">{name}</option>
           </select>
    </div>
    <div id="image" spry:detailregion="dsChartNurse">
       <img src="{dataimage}" align="center" style="margin:50px 0 0 0"width="320" height="164" />
    </div>
    Thanks so much to anyone who can help correct my code in order to have a drop-down list display information correctly in the detail region.

    Thanks for the quick reply.  I did solve the problem I was having by changing from onclick to onchange in the master region.  But, now I have another problem with, of course, IE.  I just put in online at http://www.minursemap.org/ageDistNurse.html.  When opened in IE, the drop down list displays the last entry, but the image is for the first in the list.  Thanks again for your help.

  • 2 Data Sets - 1 Detail Region - HOW???

    I need to feed two separate XML data sets to one detail
    region. I tried a method (from a previous post) of adding both data
    sets to one detail region, separated by a space. It will only
    access the first data set listed and ignores the one that trails.

    Hey BSK,
    There are 2 ways to write data references, one more formal
    than the other.
    Short: {nodename}
    Formal: {dsname::nodename}
    The formal version will always work.
    The short version works when there is only one data set on
    the region or, WHEN IT IS LISTED FIRST.
    If you have a region with multiple datasets, data references
    that come from the data set that is NOT first must use the formal
    notation. This assures that we can distinguish between the data
    sets, in case of duplicate node names.
    So, for those data refs that come from emailData06, make them
    {emailData06::nodename}
    Make sense?
    Thanks,
    Don

  • Image mapping and Master Detail Regions in CS3

    Excellent advice to leave a url. I think I am having a similar problem with conceptualizing datasets for utilization with image mapping. I obviously cannot use the Get Schema via the Attach New Data set icon because I have rendered my own Master region. I am working with CS3. I will launch the site and ask for help from the url.
    Here is:
    http://www.atmfoods.net16.net/
    I need help with this. With the phasing out of tabulated layouts for div based layouts I run into quite a few snags attempting to work around deprecation of tags issues. What am I trying to do here:
    1. Get my spry menu to drop down in the child table and not the parent table aligned top left.
    2. Use image mapping of the thumbnail images in integration with datasets and spry Master/Detail regions, even if hand coded to achieve, for a larger image and data on each thumbnail on an accordion spry widget. I am thinking grid systems for the future of my works and hope to achieve some relative command of grid systems. Without gridlock.

    Hi,
    The dataset name in the NestedDataSet constructor does not go
    in quotes.
    Try var dsCreds = new Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet(dsAgents,
    "credentials/cred");
    and see if that helps.

  • Displaying rendered HTML text in spry detail region

    Hi,
    I have just started to play around with DW CS3 & spry and
    love them!
    I have a Master/Detail spry going from my database, but am
    having a problem displaying the detail the way I need it. The mySQL
    field is a BLOB for some HTML formatted text (I get the text
    elsewhere using a Xinha textarea edit widget and load the the
    formatted HTML text into my db). For example, my string is
    "<h2>this test</h2><strong>xyz</strong>"
    which is loaded into my db. I am using the dreamweaver ADDT export
    XML functionality to generate my spry master/detail region.
    My detail region is displaying the correct html associated
    with the selected master table entry, but it's with the HTML tags,
    not rendered as HTML (I don't want to see
    <h2>title</h2>; I'd like to see title with <H2>
    formatting).
    It's much like what I think a RSS feed would be, but can't
    find a way just to get the html to render because I don't have the
    files externally to source an iframe or anything. (I tried a XLS
    fragment transformation, just putting the detail record field that
    I want in an XLS file, but that didn't do anything).
    Any kind of guidance, hint, point and laugh but then tell me,
    would be greatly appreciated. I also posted at first at ADDT and
    then General Dreamweaver because I didn't locate this forum in the
    Forum topic list, so when I did find this I thought this is
    obviously where I should have first posted - sorry if anyone has
    also been surfing around. Thanks so much so any info.

    Hi Don,
    Thanks so much for responding. I actually did do that, but it
    seems like I might be doing it in the wrong place. I tried it in
    the .js that I have in my header:
    var dsList = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("./export.php",
    "theSpecials/special",{sortOnLoad:"rating",sortOrderOnLoad:"ascending",distinctOnLoad:tru e});
    dsList.setColumnType("detail", "html");
    which didn't do it. I also tried it right in my detail
    display area:
    <div style="overflow:hidden; width: 400px;"
    spry:detailregion="dsList">
    <div> <!-- nested div for spry effect -->
    <div id="detailDisplay" style="width:380px; "> <!--
    spry:content="{detail}"> -->
    <script
    type="text/javascript">dsList.setColumnType("detail","html");</script>{dsList::detail}
    <!-- echo '{dsList::detail}' ; ?> -->
    </div> <!-- detailDisplay -->
    </div> <!-- outter div for spry effect -->
    <!-- spry detail region -->
    </div>
    Excuse the inline ugliness, will clean it up when it's
    functional. But that doesn't seem to do it either. I am storing
    that particular field as a blob in the mysql database, but I
    already tried making that a VARCHAR which had no effect either.
    Thanks so much for for the suggestion! Any other gems that I
    can try?
    Liz

  • Spry Table: size of detail regions

    I have a table with 5 items. each item is linked to a
    different image (the detail region).
    I want to have different sizes of detail regions : so when I
    click on item 1 of the table, the detail region (image) that opens
    has a X size, and when I click on item 2 of the table, the detail
    region (another image) that opens has a Y size. etc...
    I am using an image placeholder to place the image of the
    detail region: it may be the source of the problem. But if I don't
    use an image placeholder, the image/detail region does not show.
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi..
    For the Tabs... you can set the property to layout as matrix layout and set the property of the tabs 'stretchedHorizontally' & 'stretchedVertically' = x
    for the table... select the columns in the table and check this property "resizable" if this one is checked.. remove that and try it.. so that your table will not get resized based on the DB data...
    Hope this will help you

  • Detail Region as TOC for captivate (.swf) files

    Hi All,
    Not sure how to explain this, but i will do my best. I didnt like the TOC/Aggregator for CP 5. Thinking maybe to use Spry data using the Detail Region sample. I thought it would be simple to just combine the Detail Region code with the publsihed .swf and .htm code. But not sure what im doing wrong or if this is even possible to do. I was experimenting just using the exact same code and xml for Detail Region sample and modifying it a bit. See below...

  • Open front panel of sub vi when called - how?

    Hello,
    I have a VI with several sub VIs.
    I want some of the sub VI front panels to be opened, if they are not yet opened and if they are called but I want them to stay in the background.
    There are two SubVI Node setups: "Open Front Panel when loaded" and "show front panel when called"
    Both are not what I want. If I select "show front panel when called", then the front panels are opened but flickering because they are called often and alternately.
    Greetings Johannes
    Using LabVIEW 7.1 and 2009 recently

    No, no issue with my code :-)
    Yeah, we've heard that one before...
    @smercurio_fc: With your example I can see if a subVI is opened or not, but how can I open the subVI during run time if it is not opened
    Just call the method with it set to "write" (right-click and select "Change to Write"). I don't recall if LV 7.0 has a Front Panelpen method. Check the LabVIEW manual.

    Hi,
    If the data need to be passed is large, consider using Shared Memeory Objects: Check this doc for reference: How to pass data from ABAP to Web Dynpro ABAP
    Hope this helps u,

  • How Do I: Bind a YUI Calendar Widget to a Spry Master Detail Region?

    Hello All,
    Does anyone know how to bind a YUI Calendar widget to a Spry
    master detail region? I have the dataset, yui calendar inserted but
    no clue how to bind the two so my dataset populates the calendar
    (Highlights dates that have a event) and when a date in the
    calendar is clicked it shows in the details section.
    I have found a tidbit or two via google but they don't deal
    with the new yui cs4
    widget. I have seen some video on adove tv that touches on
    inserting the yui calendar into a spry dataset but not how to bind
    the two together...
    Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

    You have to write some code that sets up a select callback on
    the YUI side of things, and then set the current row of the data
    set that matches that date.
    Something like this:
    var cal1 = new YAHOO.widget.Calendar("cal1","YUICal1");
    cal1.render();
    cal1.selectEvent.subscribe(function(type, args, obj)
    // Get the selected date string from cal1.
    var selectedDate = cal1.getSelectedDates()[0].getDate();
    // Find the first row in the data set that has the
    // selected date in it's "date" column.
    var row = ds1.findRowsWithColumnValues({"date":
    selectedDate}, true);
    // If we have a matching row, make it the current row for
    the data set.
    if (row)
    ds1.setCurrentRow(row.ds_RowID);
    }, cal, true);
