Opendocument failing when parameters populated by Report

I don't know whether this has been raised before, but I am using Crystal Reports XI and trying to access the URL to call a report.
When I pass a parameter to the report, it works. eg
http://localhost:8080/businessobjects/enterprise11/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=rpt&sOutputFormat=P&iDocID=214994&lsSP_JRNL_ID=529
When I leave the parameter off, ( eg
http://localhost:8080/businessobjects/enterprise11/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=rpt&sOutputFormat=P&iDocID=214994 ) the report will prompt for the parameter and after entering the parameter, I get a HTTP Status 500 screen

search is parameter i used on rpt_matched_candidates report using :search in sql query.

Just check whether ther required database drivers are installed properly, where the SQL might be your database.
Try with other type of connection and check .
As some database's wont allow specific type of connections.

Crystal Reports Publication fails when using dynamic recipients
Hi experts,
We are facing a problem related with the BOE 3.1 Dynamic recipients Publication.
We have created a Publication with just one Crystal Report based on a MDX Query. We send the report in PDF format to email destinations
Dynamic recipients are defined in a WebI report pulling data from a BW query universe. We can display the email, user ID, Use Name and other fields we would like to use as dynamic parameters.
Server side trust seems to be configured (is there any way to test it is properly configured?).
The Publication is working fine with enterprise recipients (which have SAP BW account), and each recipient receive its PDF by email.
When we execute same report with dynamic recipients without selecting dynamic personalization parameters it is working fine. But when we select one dynamic parameter (which is coming from the WebI report we use for dynamic recipients) eg: Profit Centre, the Publication fails and we get a Database Connector error:

Thanks!Ino, what do you mean for "technical name or the member unique name"? Are you talking about the SAP User name? So in the dynamic recipients we can find these parameters:
- Recipient Identifier (required):
- Full Name:
- Email:
In the Recipient Identifier I should refer to a SAP user?
Dynamic recipients option is working for same recipients. The problem appears when I assign one parameter to a field coming from the dynamic webi report.It fails with the previously detailed error. This parameter assignment seems to be causing the Database Connector error.

as we supress Pop-up for a smartform or script by passing the Print Parameters
This 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS' excludes the commands(say F9 function code) in report
I think we need to set the Print paramters in the Program

WebI does not return failed when scheduling a report which only holds parti
WebI does not return failed when scheduling a report which only holds partial results.
We have scheduled reports which take some time to run. When they are scheduled they sometimes show successful even though the report only holds partial results. The only indication is when you open the report as webi report you see the warning that it holds partial results.
When running the report manually, it works file.
The issue is not in the no of rows in the universe settings because we this unselected. The issue is that it times out.
The reason that it times out is that a lot of resources are used for loading and processing data when the report is scheduled. When running it manually, it works because at this time the serverload is less. the time in the universe is set to 10 min.
The version we have is BOXIR2-SP4.
Ok. Issue identified.
The question is - why is the report successful when it holds partial results? If this is normal behavior, noone can really trust the scheduled reports, especially when you save it to excel and send it by mail.
Is there a solution for this except increasing the allowed query time which would not solve the issu but only allow more reports to complete?

Currently this problem exists in XI R2. This feature will be part of thenext Service Pack i.e XI R2 SP6.
This CER will be delivered from IDC Webi and BIP Platform as part of Jupiter Sp6.

Recomended Solution:
Allow the Schedule Creator / Modifier to set a parameter to stop the distribution of the u201CPARTIALLY REFRESHEDu201D WebI report.

*Note:not all the report job failed when bursting is used, in step1 when set OUTPUT_FORMAT as PDF,HTML,RTF,PowerPoint 2007,
the report will be run successfully,but when set other OUTPUT_FORMAT that list in the following document, the report can not run successfully.

Database logon failed when opening report with parameter values in CrystalReportViewer

I designed 2 crystal reports: report A contains parameter fields and report B did not contain any parameter
I can open both reports in development site using CrystalReportViewer control. When I open the reports in testing site,
I can open report B but can't open report A. It display error message "Database logon failed". When I set EnableDatabaseLogonPrompt
to true and try to open the report A again, it shows database connection data which was created on report.
In addition, it is strange that it displays error "Database logon failed" when I click an item in group tree panel of the report B. This indicates that it can load data from database
in testing site but it connect to development database when clicking items in group tree panel
All reports connect to database using Windows Authenication. It use dynamic database connection at runtime

Load Report failed when opening Report under IIS 5.1
I recently upgraded to Crystal Reports 2008 (12) from Crystal Reports Basic 2008 (10.5). I am using Visual Studio 2008 with the CrystalReportViewer. Now when I run my reports from the website under IIS 5.1 (Windows XP SP3), I get a Load Report Failed. The detailed exception follow:

If I run the report using the ASP.Net Development Server, the reports run fine. It only fails under IIS. From other posts, I understand that i need to grant the Network Service and IIS_WPG group read/write permissions to the windows\temp folder. I have done this for the Network Service, but the IIS_WPG group was not introduced until IIS 6.0. Any ideas on how I can get this working under IIS 5.1?

PCmd- Parameters- Count fails when there's no parameter
Hello,
With ORAOLEDB 8.1.7, MDAC 2.5, IIS 4.0 and COM : we have problems with pCmd->Parameters->Count.
When my program raise an exception before i add parameters to my _CommandPtr object, I try to delete the parameters ( for security ) and the count property of the Parameters object fails.
Does anybody know why ?

I have a Macbook pro 13" A1278. I purchased it around december 2010. I have a HHD 3.5" drive desktop select II 1.5TB. I purchased it around Febuary/March 2011 to use with my Macbook pro. If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. How do I manually submit an error report when I receive a message, 'submission failed' after choosing automated error reporting?
Since Leopard is now out of production there will be no future updates so there is no point in filing an error report.

this time i meet the famous error again which is database logon failed.
i created a crystal report 2008 starting from blank report, then connect with odbc
i use 2008 method

then i use 8.5 method and try again for 2008 report. it said field name is unknown for one of formula

If I call rs.exe with the various parameters from the command prompt I have success(other than rs.exe using the temp folder, which is a different issue). But when I try to execute the same process from a Visual Basic 6.0 application utilizing
the ShellEx api call, the report creation and output to PDF format do not occur. There is no error raised.
Yes, I wish I could use a newer dev tool but that isn't an option right now. I think this should work. Can ya'll tell me what I'm doing wrong?

DTEXEC does not fail when SSIS package fails
I need to run my SSIS 2012 packages through the catalog with DTEXEC. This works very well, except that if my SSIS package fails, DTEXEC does not fail. I need DTEXEC to fail, so my scheduler knows that there is an error.
I use the following command:

When I used SSIS 2008, I had no problem getting DTEXEC to fail when the packages failed.I've had the same problem, and come up with the following prototype for a SQL Script which I run in our JAMS Enterprise Scheduler. It uses SSISDB stored procedures to start the SSIS package and polls every 5 seconds to report any messages, and final
status code of the package. JAMS parameters are delimited by << >> symbols, and will need to be changed for your scheduler/batch process. I guess the script could be converted to a stored procedure. I'm also hoping it will work with SQL High
Availability groups to ensure the SSIS package runs on the server that's hosting the active database.

1) First of all check your GRC server's hosts and services files,
The hosts file contains corrects IP address hostname of your backend system
The services file contains correct sapmsSID & sapgw00 or 01 entries
2) Check your SLD is correct.
Go to http://hostname:50000/sld
Administrator-> Profile -> select Section as Datasupplier, DataTrace to True,. GatewayHost to correct backend system hostname and GatewayService to the correct gateway service which you have given in the backend system while running rz70.
Then check your issue id resolve or not.
