OpenGL shader builder - empty image wells

I'm trying to use OpenGl shader builder (from graphicstools_june_2014.dmg).
I load several textures, but image wells in left part is empty.
I can see my textures,  and can work with them,  but it is inconvenient.
In user guide it is ok - see second picture.

There was an even earlier build than the two mentioned.
Talk about "early revisions" I guess so, and it doesn't look like there will be a unified version tomorrow.
I recall AYM had a note about video performance and in that instance, the build on the DVD was never than what was on the hard drive and within a week or so disk drives carried the "new, improved" video on disk as well.
There may be other changes that go hand-in-hand other than build, too. Did they look at the Boot ROM and SMC Version of the systems?
Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B00
SMC Version: 1.7f6

  • Use image from Aperture in Xcode image well

    Is it possible to extract an image from Aperture and display this image in an Xcode image well?
    I have a script that searches for and extracts a required image in the format:
    image version id B4bCHCfeR969OQ7SEcUsOQ of library id LibraryFolder
    I now want to display the image in an ApplescriptObjC project, how do I build a path to the image well?
    Hope this makes sense, as usual, any help gratefully received.

    I have been trying to use that same script but changing selcting an image to searching for an image but it won't work, please show me the error of my ways!
    set theImage to "Image 1"
    tell application "Aperture"
              set ims to every image version
              set names to {}
              repeat with i from 1 to count of ims
                        set n to get the name of item i of ims
                        set names to names & n
              end repeat
              set imageSel to first image version whose name is theImage
              export imageSel using export setting "JPEG - Original Size" to (path to desktop)
    end tell
    Giving this a closer look you could condense the script down to
    set theImage to "IMG_08067"
    tell application "Aperture"
              try
                        set imageSel to first image version whose name is theImage
              on error errTxt number errNum
                        display dialog "Error: " & errNum & return & errTxt
                        tell me to quit
              end try
           export imageSel using export setting "JPEG - Original Size" to (path to desktop)
    end tell
    You don't appear to be doing anything with the repeat loop or variables and you're always taking the first image you find with the name.
    So here we look in the whole library for an image with the name and if we find it we export it. The try/error block is to catch times that the name you are looking for isn't in the library.

  • [SOLVED] mkinitcpio silently fails to build initramfs image

    I faced this annoying problem where mkinitcpio kept generating 20-byte initramfs images (for normal and fallback).
    The first symptom was being unable to boot. Kept getting error messages about junk in the initramfs image. I suspected a corrupted file. Used chroot, tried reinstalling the linux package, regenerating using mkinitcpio - didn't solve the problem.
    Then, I checked the /boot directory and found that the initramfs images were 20 bytes! mkinitcpio was generating 20-byte images (essentially empty images). It had done so on the last kernel upgrade.
    I was able to copy initramfs images from another Arch installation (same architecture, same kernel version) and boot Arch. I was unable to figure out why mkinitcpio was doing so. I tried reinstalling a few core packages (the build tools, grep etc.) but they didn't help.
    I gave up and tried the brute force method of reinstalling all packages. It was then that pacman complained about conflicting files for libarchive - libarchive! I remembered that there had been a forced shutdown at some time when packages were being updated. libarchive.so was corrupted/missing and had to be copied from another system (pacman wouldn't function without it). I hadn't reinstalled libarchive then. I did so now, and voila! mkinitcpio worked properly again.
    TLDR - If mkinicpio is not generating images properly, some tool it depends on (or mkinitcpio) is failing silently/is missing/is corrupt. Reinstall those things.

    I feel silly!
    pactree -u mkinitcpio
    would have given me the list of packages I needed to reinstall.

  • JS CS3 How can I find -and delete- anchored empty images frames

    I have a script that works fine with text,
    I need the same function, but find and remove anchored empty image frames
    thx
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument
    for(var myCounter = myDoc.textFrames.length-1; myCounter>=0; myCounter--)
    var myFrames = myDoc.textFrames[myCounter]
    if (myDoc.textFrames[myCounter].contents == ""){
    myDoc.textFrames[myCounter].remove()

    I'd do it this way:
    1. Grab the document's allPageItems.
    2. Iterate over it, ignoring text frames.
    3. Check to see: (a) if the parent is a character and (b) if the graphics collection of the page item is empty. If so, delete it.

  • Building an image for multiple types of Macs...

    I need to build images for iMac G3 500's, iMac G4's, eMacs, & 400 Mhz G4 Towers. My question is this...
    Using OS 10.3 or 10.4, can I build an image on one of these machines that will have all of the appropriate drivers, software, etc. to distribute to all of them? Or... are there specific items installed during the OS install for some machines and not others?

    Contradictory evidence exists whether or not you can really build one unique image for use for all of those machines. One interesting factor here is you say 10.3 or 10.4. Those operating systems can not really be run from one image simultaneously.
    In addition, some G4 400 Mhz towers are incapable of target disk mode or being used as the source for a migration assistant transfer. These two articles tell you which those are:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58583
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58418
    Assuming you have license for Mac OS X for all the machines there, I suggest building a by model base of a partition you can import to each machine from several external hard drives.
    The migration assistant after installing Mac OS X on a specific machine can help simplify how many partitions you need to create:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25773
    You just install the operating system and it will import data using the migration assistant.
    Now the migration assistant will import data from a 10.3 machine to a 10.4 machine, but you can't do vice versa.

  • What is an "image well"

    I'm trying to drop an image from iPhoto into an object (circle) in Pages. According the Pages/Help, I can "drag and drop an image from the finder onto the "image well" in the graphics inspector.
    What is an image well? I don't see any place on the graphics inspector that lets me drop an image.
    Jim

    There are limitations for using this method. For one thing the image will be centered. Period. There is no fine adjustments afterwards. You can set it to scale with the object, stay at it's original size, tile, etc.
    If you drag the image into the actual object on the document page, in Pages '08 that object will automagically become a mask for the image. Be aware, though, that the image may come in at it's orignal size, or very close, and require tweaking to get it's scale and position correct.
    If you place the image on the page, scale it outside the object you want to use as a mask, and then mask with the selected shape you will find that it behaves correctly, and your image will be masked.
    Masking is better than filling with an image. You haev much more control over the way your final cropped image will appear.
    (If you wanted teh Tinted Image fill, just put an identical sized shape over top of your cropped image and use the slider at the bottom of the color selector to set the transparency.)

  • "Empty" images in my library

    Having a huge library of both JPGs (and their RAW equivelants -I have my digital SLR set to shoot both RAW and JPG simultaneously) I decided it was time to split up my library into two: a JPG-only library for normal use, and a separate RAW library for those times when I need to access the RAW equivelants.
    I've been using "iPhoto buddy" to create several libraries on my Mac, so what I did was make a copy in the Finder of that RAW/JPG library, resulting in two identical (large) libraries. I renamed them ("JPG" and "RAW") to easier distinguish them from each other, then added them to iPhoto buddy where I started the one named "RAW".
    Using the "smart-album" ability of iPhoto I filtered out the JPG images, then erased them and emptied the trash. That should leave me only with the Canon RAW (.CR2) files.
    Well, I do have all my RAWs, but I also have loads of "ghost" images. That is, lots of empty picture frames with the JPG file-names and previously applied keywords.
    I've tried starting iPhoto while holding down ALT-COMMAND, then rebuilding/cleaning up things using those 4 options you get, but this hasn't seemed to solve my problems. iPhoto also runs extremely slow, and I see that beachball all the time. Now and then it even crashes as I exit iPhoto with the library etc. Frustrating.
    I was curious to see what was contained inside the library's internal folders, and was surprised to see lots of JPG images. In another thread I was told that JPGs were automatically created for each RAW file as iPhoto isn't equipped to display the RAW format(s). But if I double-click them from the Finder I'm told that they're corrupted or in a format the computer can't read.
    Looking a bit closer I see that all of those JPGs are sized at zero bytes!
    So what has gone wrong and how do I fix this?

    I too am confused by the "filing" of iPhoto. I frankly find PC at work easier to organize files. My frustration is I put my Library photos into folers and when I delete them fro the Library, they are also deleted from the folder! How do you organize photos so you can find them and how do you stop eating up memory. I see there are no answers yet.

  • Build Disc Image yields .iso that is too small

    I have a bluray project that is set to 1920x1080i, maximum quality, H.264
    the build window estimates about 20.87 GB for the final image
    after building, the .iso only shows 14,288,256 KB
    I've repeated this 4 times and get the same exact numbers
    am I missing something here?
    Thanks.
    -wolv

    No, you're not.
    As Giorgio points out, the resulting "size" is originally an estimation, and if you are using maximum quality I wager it will be a 2-pass VBR encode as well.
    This can only be estimated, as you will never know the exact size on a VBR encoding until it has been encoded - you can guess at it based on past experience is all.
    If you feel it is still not good enough, you can always tweak the settings.....

  • Flash builder 4 - Image(s) Rotator3d

    Im looking for some inspiration too code a image gallery with 3d effects (Rotator3d sparkcontrol) in flash builder 4. Ive have a button which I want to execute the rotation between the images (mx:images), my question is how I shift betwwen images when the 3d rotate runs on the image. There is no problem in rotating one image. Ive started with the Rotate3d spark control but thats not a requirement, if there is a better way to get same functionality Im open for ideas, if there is a best practice on this area Im open for suggestions. Please post code examples or other ressources.
    My code looks like:

          angleXFrom="0" angleXTo="360"
          angleYFrom="0" angleYTo="360"
          autoCenterTransform="true"
          duration="2000" />

      </s:Group>
      <s:Button x="270" y="349" label="Rotate"
        click="imageRotator.play([imageContainer])"/>

    Check the doc for spark.components.supportClasses.ItemRenderer.  Mine shows

    Your code should look something like:
    <s:List>
    <s:itemRenderer>
    <fx:Component>
    <s:ItemRenderer autoDrawBackground="false" >
    <!-- any other customizations -->
    </s:ItemRenderer>
    </fx:Component>
    </s:itemRenderer>
    <!-- other stuff -->

  • Build thumbnail image does not take AnalogBalance into account

    When I build a thumbnail, it does not take AnalogBalance into account.
    dng_image_preview thumbnail;
    dng_render render (host, *negative);
    // Build stage 2 image.
    negative->BuildStage2Image (host, ttShort);
    // Build stage 3 image.
    negative->BuildStage3Image (host, ttShort);
    render.SetFinalSpace (negative->IsMonochrome () ? dng_space_GrayGamma22::Get () : dng_space_sRGB ::Get ());
    render.SetFinalPixelType (ttByte);
    render.SetMaximumSize (256);
    thumbnail.fImage.Reset (render.Render ());
    thumbnail.fImage.Get()->Rotate( dng_orientation::Mirror90CCW() );
    thumbnail.fInfo.fColorSpace = thumbnail.fImage->Planes () == 1 ? previewColorSpace_GrayGamma22 : previewColorSpace_sRGB;

    The AnalogBalance is going to affect the mapping between temp/tint values and camera neutral values. If the white balance values are already stored as camera neutral values, I would not expect it to significantly change thumbnail rendering.
    It sounds like you do not understand AnalogBalance correctly.
