Opening flow (F00) disappears during currency conversion

Hi everybody,
I'm facing this strange situation: once I've successfully completed the carry over operation I can see the correct values in local currency in G_NONE Group and in EUR both in G_NONE and G_SPA groups: so far so good...
When launching the currency conversion all the values in G_SPA, on F00 (the opening flow) disappear. Any idea on the reasons of this strange behaviour?
Another strange fact: if I set the INCREMENTAL_MODE to "Y" the values remain there and are correctly forced on the closing flow (F99); of coure this is not the solution because I don't need figures that always cumulate!
Thank you in advance for your help!
Sergio

Hello everybody,
the solution, as indicated here SAP BPC NW 10 FX Translation and Consolidation,
was in the in the group/scope dimension: putting a "Y" in the STORE_GROUP_CURR property the issue is solved.

Thanks fr the info. that u all hv given ..... I ran one program frm our side which will be updating the transfer exchange rates as u all have mentioned. But then , i am receiving the warnings.
    Also,when i have checked the conversion rates,they r fine.
Please find the Below diagnosis ,which they hv given.
    Diagnosis:
The exchange rate 301.149,42529- was calculated via the base currency USD. This produced a rate which exceeds the      maximum allowed value of 9999.99999.
    System Response:
The processing can not be continued because the calculated rate can not be used.
    Procedure:
Check the conversion rate to the base currency USD and the exchange rate type E. If the rates are correct, you must agree different conversion factors for the currencies in question (e.g. 100:1 instead of 1:1), so that the resulting conversion rate does not exceed the value 9999.99999.  Notification Number SG 119 .
Please solve this issue. Thanks in advance!

  • Currency conversion - CO differences

    Hi Guys,
We are doing technical currency conversion at data base tableu2019s level from SGD to USD for our company code (EURO solution). During this conversion, FI reconciliation is able to achieve. On the other hand where CO data also changed balances form SGD to USD on fixed rate (exchange rate) conversion base, it will lead some small rounding differences either +/-. Is there any way to adjust these small differences in CO module alone with out impacting to other modules (Running EURO CO reconciliation programs i have idea apart from this any solution Plz)!
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.

    Thanks Guys.
We decided to use conversion cost center and element or internal order to write off the differences during currency conversion occured. Once go-live went will block for postings and for reporting management need to omit this.

  • Currency Conversion using RSW_CURRENCY_TRANSLATION

    Hi all,
    I have the following scenario:
We want to do currency conversion in the update rules between a cube A and a cube B using a start routine. Both cubes have exact the same structure. All key figures are of currency 0CURRENCY. In cube A all values are in EUR, meaning that 0CURRENCY is always 'EUR' for each record. We want to convert to a local currency (determined via "Company Code"), meaning that in the cube B the record should arrive with different key figure amounts and 0CURRENCY='LocalCurrencyAccordingToCompanyCode'.
We'd like to use a currency translation type, which is defined as follows:
    Tab "Exchange Rate"
--> Exchange Rate Type = EURX
--> Dyn. Ex. Rate Determinatn (marked)
    Tab "Source Curr."
--> Source Curr. from Data Rec (marked)
    Tab "Targ. Curr."
--> InfoObject for Determining Tar. Currency = 0COMP_CODE
    Tab "Time Ref."
--> Variable Time Ref. (marked); Value set to 4 (= Beginning of period)
--> Standard InfoObject (marked); Value set to '0FISCPER'
We have maintained EURX exchange rate for direction LC->EUR, meaning that in TCURR there are no entries for source currency 'EUR', but only for local currencies like GBP, USD, etc. How can we achieve, that the table is read "inverse" during currency conversion and that the conversion takes the inverse rate. Is it necessary to adjust the currency translation type and mark the "Inverse Ex.Rate" checkbox on the "Exchange Rate"?
Then, it is still unclear for me, how to exactly call the function module. I have tried in different ways, but mostly get a TCUR_CONFLICT exception. I also debugged the function module and it seems like he cannot determine the target currency correctly. But I think, I do not call the FM in the correct way. I have read various posts; the explanations on how to call the FM are not harmonized
    Can you help me out?
Thanks to any answers in advance and kind regards,
    Philipp

I found a solution. Indeed, we passed wrong parameters when calling the FM.

  • Currency Conversion Reporting currency setting

    Hi all,
Can someone tell me why do we need to enter Reporting currency setting in more than one places during currency conversion.
RptCurrency dimension has Reporting property (default) where we need to put Y or leave blank. In the same dimension Currency_type property should also be filled with R for reporting currency.
Again in Input currency reporting  property as default which should be filled with Y or left blank .
And in Currency Conversion Script logic we can specify the reporting currency ie '%RPTCURRENCY_SET.
If we want USD as reporting currency Do we need to fill in all these for a simple planning application ?
    Thank you
    Jack

    Hi<br>
If you defined some currency translation types using transaction RRC1, then you would be able to see and use all of them when you are designing your query in query designer.<br><br>
After the query execution, if you select the properties of your key figure, you won't again get the same full list of currency translation types as in RRC1. But you will get only what is relevant as per the definition of that key figure. So if you have any doubts about what is shown here, please go back to the query designer and check the definition of concerned key figure<br><br>

  • Business Rule Currency Conversion and Carry Forward

    Hello Guys,
I have a question related to the Business Rules Currency Conversion and Carry Forward
I configured the business rule "Currency Conversion" and I selected "Apply to Periodic". What this rules does with the flag selected  is to get the value of the previous month converted and add the factor (Local Currency previos month - Local Currency Actual month) * Exchange Rate of Current Month
For Example: USD previos month +
This rule applies perfectly from FEB to DEC but if I run it for January, it does not consider the value of USD previos month and LC previous month for calculations so the result I get is:
(and of course it´s because it only applies to periodic)
I need to include into my results this amounts and factor so the question is: Is not a flag I can activate to force the system to act as it does for FEB to DEC periodic ??
I also set up the Business Rule "Carry Forward" so with this rule Im able to bring values converted in USD from DEC to JAN for example from a Data Source Input, but the problem is that it erase any other value I have in other Data Source members and I need to keep that info.
Hope you can come with a suggestion.
Im working with SAP BPC NW 7.5 SP08

    Hello guys,
Yes, my fiscal year is from JAN to DEC and Im using a YTD app,
As you mentioned for P&L accounts the rule works fine; but we want to carry forward LEQ accounts. Is there a way to use or configure the currency conversion rule with the flag "Apply to Periodic" to carry forward LEQ accounts for the next following year?
Here is how we configured our Carry Forward Business Rule
Source and Destionation account = 4111
    Source and destionation Flow= FCLO
    Reverse Sign= False
    Data Source Type= ALL
    Same Period= False
    Apply to Periodic=False
    Opening Data Source=DatosBase
    Source Data Source = AJ_AC

  • Indirect M currency conversion data

    Dear Friends
I am facing a problem when recieving the goods (MIGO). the system asks for entering the data for indirect M currency conversion rate.  Actually, I have copied my compnay from a standard company whose currecy is EUR.
I have changed my compnay currecy to INR at the time of copying only. The PO etc was generated in INR. I have not given any transanction in EUR nor my vendors are having this currency. I want to know
1  how to solve this problem.
2   do i need to make some more changes in my compnay currency.
3 if so in which fileds i should do so.
4  any study material on this topic
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi, you have to check the setup in the IMG (e.g. go through the IMG point @ SAP NetWeaver-General Settings-Currencies)
Have in mind that Exchange rate type M is hardcoded as "THE EXHANGERATE TYPE" in the logistic area. If you need to adjust something in the exchange rate type - adjust the customizing of M - despite it might be overwritten during an upgrade!
It’s possible to assign other exchange rate type than M in the customizing of FI & CO but do not try to make and assign an exchange rate type of your own  (to be used in the logistic flows like sales order processing or purchasing) - you will never get it to work during month-end!
To my knowledge is this little trick not documented - it's passed on from consultant to consultant!

  • Creative cloud installer just disappears during install

I had creative cloud and on last update most of the applications are gone along with the desktop icon.
I have tried to install creative cloud again - but it just stops halfway and disappears during install.
    I've tried safe mode install
Ive renamed OOBE folders in both librarys
I've tried the adobe application manager and that crashes on install
I've tried the Adobe clean up tool
Nothing is working to get creative cloud to reinstall on the computer - I've lost about 4 applications in creative cloud
Working on a Mac - Yosemite OS

Hi!  The cleaner failed - simply could not detect any creative cloud products. ( It did find a previous CS6 installation, long since uninstalled, actually).
Didn't get a chance to try ROOT, as an Adobe tech (Loveneesh) remoted in and did some 'known fixes'... basically he cleaned up the failed CC desktop installation ( deleted a couple of folders) - and then gave "wide open" permissions to a couple of sets of library folders ( One for machine, and one for user). I believe they were
    /library/application support/
    /library/application support/Adobe/
    /users/[username]/library/application support/
    /users/[username]/library/application support/Adobe/
Still couldn't install CC desktop, (failed twice!) BUT that at least allowed  the installation of "Adobe App Manager" - which was subsequently UPGRADED to CC Desktop. Something of a clever workaround, if you ask me!
And now its all working OK again.
I'm a bit bothered by the somewhat cavalier ""Everybody" permissions applied to library folders, but as I understand this is the quick fix when nobody quite knows what the heck is going on with permissions... (I suppose ROOT access gives much the same effect for installations)

  • Currency conversion issue while creating PO from Shopping cart

    Hello Experts,
I'm facing an issue in SRM during Limit purchase order creation from Limit shopping cart.
    Scenario:
Shopping cart was created on 1st of June and Approved on 20th June & Po was created on the same day. But the currency conversion is no ware matching and couldn't able to trace out the same. I have tried several times to replicate the issue it never done in test environments.
But the PO is creating with refer to Vendor currency. For example if SC was created in USD and vendor order currency in EUR then PO is created in EUR.
the relevant notes were already updated in the system and it is working fine when the SC is created and approved on the same day.
Please give me some idea how to fix this issue.
Is there any way to make SC currency is priority than Vendor Order Currency while creating PO?
    Regards
    Pratap J

    Hello,
Read information available in KBA 1862453.
    It mentions this issue.

  • Changing preferred vendor to fixed vendor in SRM PO- no currency conversion

    Hi All,
We are on SRM_SERVER 550, SP11, ECS scenario.
Users create carts where they enter preferred vendor.
After approval we found that the PO's were created only in "Held" Status.
So we did a conversion of the preferred vendor (PF 39) to Fixed vendor (PF 19) during PO creation using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI- BBP_PO_CHANGE.
We also implemented BBP_GROUP_LOC_PO,GROUP_PO so that all items with same preferred vendor are grouped into a single PO.
We observed that PO is now getting created in ordered status, where the preferred vendor is getting converted to fixed vendor as per our code change. But we also found a problem- that the line item price doesnt get converted to Vendor order currency after the Po is created. For ex: If line item price is 10 GBP and Vendor order currency is EUR, the line item price in the PO shows 10 EUR. The currency conversion fro GBP to EUR does not happen.
This does not happen for catalog items/PO's where the cart comes with a fixed vendor (PF 19).
So there surely seems to be something missing in our code for converting Preferred vendor to fixed vendor which is preventing/not converting the currency as well.
Please find below the code we are using in DOC_CHANGE_BADI for PO, is there any step in this which is causing the currency conversion to be skipped?
    CONSTANTS:C_FIXED_VENDOR   TYPE BBP_PDS_PARTNER-PARTNER_FCT
                           VALUE '00000019',
               C_PREFERRED_VEND TYPE BBP_PDS_PARTNER-PARTNER_FCT
                           VALUE '00000039'.
READ TABLE ET_PARTNER INTO LS_PARTNER WITH KEY
                             P_GUID      = IS_HEADER-GUID
                             PARTNER_FCT = C_FIXED_VENDOR.
       IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
READ TABLE ET_PARTNER INTO LS_PARTNER WITH KEY
                             P_GUID      = IS_HEADER-GUID
                             PARTNER_FCT = C_PREFERRED_VEND.
        IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
          CLEAR IDX.
          IDX = SY-TABIX.
          MOVE C_FIXED_VENDOR TO LS_PARTNER-PARTNER_FCT.
MODIFY ET_PARTNER INDEX IDX FROM LS_PARTNER TRANSPORTING PARTNER_FCT.
       ENDIF.
       ENDIF.
    Regardas,
    Srivatsan

there is nothing in your code which prevents the conversion between the two currencies,
it can be the following reason
    1) system as standard is not performing the conversion.
    2) conversion factors are not maintained (or) conversion factors are maintained and the expiry date for the conversion factors has passed.

  • Key figures with currency conversion showing weird values.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a variable screen,
User can key in Target Currency, and Month.
    Say,
(Scenario 1) User keys in Target Currency "MYR", and Month "4"
    The report will show
    Jan| Feb| March| April| May| June| ...
    2| 3| 5| 7| 0| 0| 0 ...
    This is correct.
(Scenario 2) User keys in Target Currency "USD", and Month "4"
    The report will show
    Jan| Feb| March| April| May| June| ...
    2| 3| 5| 7| 3| 5| 7 ...
This is wrong, should not show figures for month May and onwards.
(Scenario 3) User keys in Target Currency "SGD", and Month "4"
    The report will show
    Jan| Feb| March| April| May| June| ...
    1| 2| 3| 4| 0| 0| 0 ...
    This is correct.
*In the infoprovider, the key figure is tied to currency "MYR".
In developement system, i replicated the exchange rate table, and the problem (Scenario 2) is solved.
In test system, i replicated the exchange rate table, and the problem (Scenario 2) is still there.
I am not sure what is happening here.
Please could you please kindly advise.
    Thanks.
    Tee

There appear to be two factors happening here.. one is how you have your query restrictions set up, and the other is the currency translation method that you are using. What results a currency translation provides depends on both the translation key definition AND the availability of a valid currency translation for the appropriate period.
First, review transaction RSCUR and see how your currency translation is defined.
Then review transaction oB08 and see if there is a valid currency conversion factor during the affected time.
Once you're certain all that is correct, review your query and how it is functioning. The fact that you wish to display months for which you do not wish to return data seems to indicate your 0CALMONTH2 restriction is not set up properly.

  • Currency Conversion Type missing in BEx

I have created a new conversion translation type M1 based on Monthly Average exchange.
RSCUR definition for  this conversion on the time ref tab to be a "variable time reference"- End of Period for
Standard Info Object Fiscal Period "0FISCPER".
Is this configuration the cause for placing a limiting restriction on the visability of this selection at runtime of query.
The following currency translation types are not available at the runtime of the query.
    ●      Translation types for which a variable is stored (variable time reference, source currency from variable, target currency from variable, and so on).
From BEx I am unable to select Currency Conversion (Convert to Currency USD) and Use of Currency Translation M1
    Thank You ...... Dan

    Andrey:
Once BEx query results are displayed in M/S excel ... the user navigates (right click) to (local) query properties:
Tab >> Currency Conversion >> select Convert to Currency will open option to determine Currency (USD) and Currency Translation (via drill down).
Those Currency conversion types configured with variable time reference on InfoObject 0FISCPER cannot re-determine
target currency values. Fixed Time reference conversion types can be selected through BEx.
I found a restriction/ limitation in the following thread.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ec/076f3b6c980c3be10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    Restrictions:
The following currency translation types are not available at the runtime of the query.
    ●      Inactive translation types
    ●      Translation types for which a variable is stored (variable time reference, source currency from variable, target currency from variable, and so on)
    ●      Translation types in which an InfoObject is used for determining the source currency or target currency.
Are you aware of any way around this ??
    Thank you ....... Dan
