Opening Safari for Mac Web Archives in Safari for Windows???
I need to open Safari for Mac Web Archives (saved html web pages on a Mac) on my Windows PC at work. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this? The original Web Pages are no longer available and the data in the Archives is the only set left.
I've tried opening the files with Safari for Windows but that doesn't work. I've also tried renaming the web archives from file.webarchive to file.html and that doesn't work either.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions for accomplishing this task??? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you can move your archives to a Mac I think you can convert them to folders with Webarchive Folderizer and then move back to your pc:

AOL Desktop for Mac has placed 5 untitled mail windows on the dock.
After installing Lion on my wifes IMAC we downloaded the latest version of AOL Desktop for MAC. There are now five "untitled" mail windows on the dock. When attempting to close these AOL Desktop for MAC crashes then displays and error window reporting to apple. Relauanching AOL Desktop brings these "untitled " mail windows back to the dock. Anyone know how to eliminate these untitled windows? This is the first of a few bugs that have been caused since the Lion upgrade. Please I know its AOL but my wife likes the interface.

I too had the same problem. Here is the solution.
Go to System Preferences and select General.
Near the bottom of the window, deselect (uncheck) "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps."
Launch AOL Desktop, you'll still see the untitled windows. No problem. Now quit AOL and relaunch. No more untitled windows.

What 99jon said, is true. However, you can't open a PSE 8/windows catalog with PSE 12/mac. You would need to update the windows machine to at least PSE 9 (In your case, of course PSE 12 would be the logical version), then do a full organizer backup to a removable drive using the organizer command, and then restore that to the mac. What you've done won't work, not if you want to keep your tags and categories.
Also, if you're asking about buying an upgrade version, 9 times out of 10 you can find the full version of PSE for less than adobe's upgrade price if you shop around. -

I wanted to buy a Dragon ,Speech Recognition Programme for Mac but it says its for OS Lion, and I have OS Snow Leopard. Would it have worked on Snow Leopard?
The simplest method would be to ask them for their Snow Leopard version and say you can't upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8. I'm almost sure they will sell you a copy.
Generally if your machine can only upgrade to 10.7 Lion and not directly to 10.8 Mountain Lion, then it's best left on 10.6.8. in my opinion as your going to loose too much other software and slow down your machine in the process.
This rapid OS X upgrade cycle has caused plenty of problems for users and developers alike, so I suspect you will find a sympathizer with the developer.
In fact I'm not recommending Mac's to anyone anymore because Apple simply has lost touch with reality. -

It might be possible, though you will have to check with Adobe directly. Normally, an upgrade involves going from a product to a product or from a suite to a suite, but not a product to a suite or vice versa. And I don't know that this would be an upgrade since you are moving laterally rather than up. I have heard of exceptions being made, so your best bet is to contact someone who has the ability to work out a deal with you.
I am pretty sure that if you had a Creative Cloud subscription the question of Mac versus PC is moot as you can have installations for both machines with the subscription. But Creative Suites are different animals. -

purchased a download copy of Acrobat Pro XI for Mac from an online reseller for $199.00. Now I am suspicious that the reseller is less than trustworthy. Could I purchase a copy from Adobe without losing the $199 that I already spent?
I doubt it. The clue should be the price. Any time you see a copy available for less than from Adobe, I would be suspicious. You can inquire with the Adobe sales folks, but don't expect any credit. At this point, I would suggest just buying AA DC, rather than AA XI.

AppleScript: Safari - Save As Web Archive
The title says it all: Can someone tell me please how - most likely via UI scripting, since I can't see anything in the dictionary - I can get Safari to save the front most document as a Web Archive using AppleScript?
This is one I have recently written that saves all tabs in a window, it remembers the parent folder until next time, and also uses the webarchive ending when Safari is in doubt. You can set properties for whether you like it to overwrite or not. Please look at Macscripter for any updates.
