Opening signature dialogue with a click on a button

Hi all,
I have a simple question,
How is it possible to open the signing dialogue (like when you click on the signature field) from another button.
I mean - I have a simple test form with one button and one signature field and I want to open the signing dialogue when I click the button - not the signature field.
Hope you understand what I am trying to do?

Hello All,
I am trying to open a pdf document which is located on the Unix server when a button is clicked. The Button is of Item Style 'Button', the file is at a location for example /tmp/user/.
Can anyone please suggest with some already existing examples. I looked for a few in the OTN forums but everything was pointing to involving BI Publisher. But my requirement is to open an already existing document with a click of a button.

Thanks, the button is not only opening the document but before that the button click should merge the Pdf documents into one. The PDF merge is happening, but when I have a URL in the button its killing the merge functionality.
I used the HttpServletResponse and servletoutput stream to open the merged PDF document. Its working on my local machine, I need to try it on the server.
I was trying to use the XMLIMporter command to upload the OAF oage which already exists in the server. But this did not work for me. Since I am new to OAF may be Im missing something. Below is the XMLIMporter command.

How to convert a .jsp page in to the .txt page with a click of the button

Here the main thing is that in order to print a web page(.jsp page) in dotmatrix printer i need to first convert that webpage (.jsp page) in to .txt page.But my doubt is that can you convert a .jsp page in to .txt page with a click of a button so that whatever there in .jsp page has to be completely transferred in to .txt page if so then in that .txt page i need a button when i click it the page need to be send to the printer without using the file menu print option.First i need to know whether it is possible in java?If so please do help me by providing the exact code.If it is not possible in java pls.do provide other option.It is very urgent.Thank U.

We can convert a .JSP page content into a .txt file by using MIME type conversion. In this scenario we cannot provide a button, because its an .txt file (not .JSP).
If you want to print JSP content into a .txt content along with a button to print that page can also be done.

Adobe reader opens "save as" box when clicking on save button rather than saving in the same file

Hi everybody,
I have a fillable PDF form designed in Livecycle designer and it is reader extended. When I fill that form on MAC it let me fill and save the form as many times as I like. Everytime I make any change I just click the save button it saves changes in the same form. BUT is is behaving differently on Windows. After filling the form out when I click on save button it opens up "Save as " dialogue box to save a new copy with those changes. I have Adobe reader XI and Adobe Acrobat XI installed on windows. I know I can do that with Acrobat but I want that in reader for users who dont have acrobat.

By impelemntign a litte javascript with window.open(...) that is called when button is clicked (onClientClick).

My understanding is that you have a PDF document in a document library and you want to open the PDF in one click.
If my understanding is right, then you can set the default open behavior to ”open in the client application”.
Also, please install the corresponding software to the default program of opening the PDF.
About making others not to open the file, you can set the Library permission for specific user to achieve it.

Open another video with the help of a button

Hello,
With a button field, I'd like to forward the user to another
video. Now, the current video has been opened with the help of some
JavaScript to deactivate the browser's toolbars, to set the
browser's size, etc. Now, How can I accomplish, once the user
clicks on a button in the Captivate video, that this video opens in
a browser window similar to the current one (i.e without browser's
toolbars, a particular browser's size, etc)?
Do I have to enter "my* Javascript code into Captivate?
Acutally, I see such an option there. However, on that page to
start the video, we have Javascriptings in the header as well as
the body copy...
Your help is gladly appreciated! What do I have to do?

While watching offline, I get a Flash security warning (kind
of that this swf file tries to communicate with itself, which is
not permitted right now, etc). I then tried to update the Flash
security preferences -- without success.
While watching online, nothing happens at all. I click on the
button but no window whatsoever will be opened.
On the actual first page (let's call it "bounce page" -- it
is where we start each video demo) with all the Javascript, we use
the onClick event, followed by some sort of coding (like you showed
above).
So, there must be a way to make this work inside a Captivate
video, too.
And it would be so great to make it work both online and
offline!
Help, please!
Or anybody else knowing a solution?

Opening a Support document when clicked on a button in Webdynpro-ABAP.

Hi All,
We have a requirement that when clicking on a button it should open a file which has file name stored in a table. How to make this possible.
The path of the file should not be hardcoded, since the user can change the file and its name anytime, he will just update the name in that table. Our report has to fetch that exact file.

We will be having the file stored in the common shared path, file may be of either .Pdf or .doc.
I have not used the file upload option before, so i am not sure about it.
But my requirement is not upload, it has to open a file from a path. Sorry if i mistook the meaning of the file upload option.

Column going from Readonly to Editable with the click of a button.

I am building an app where users will have to input some data in certain colunms, once the user finishes the data entry he will have an option to finalyze his report by clicking on a button. I am having trouble with the part of switching from a textfield to a readonly field. I ave tried to do ti through a select SQL with the APEX_ITEM.HIDDEN and APEX_ITEM.TEXT but i keep getting an missing expression error.

I have two different form library forms for each different content type published to the same Form Library. I like to know if by a click of a button, if I could close the current form and jump to the next and vice versa? If so, what steps

Thanks. However, the Views do not work in my case, as one form has different required fields than the other and set of fields also changes a bit for each form.
However, researching more I have been able to find the solution since I posted this request.
I will try to describe the Solution:
First I deployed both the forms to a SharePoint Form Library. Then I opened the template from the advanced settings and copied the URL from the top search box of IE.
Went back to the design view of the form, highlighted the writings/title of the form and right clicked to paste the hyperlink.
Quick published it again and now the hyperlink is working active/live in the deployed form as well and doing its job to get to the next form. I repeated the process to the other form to do a toggle.

RDP file won't open on Mac with double click

Hi
We have sort of created our own RDP Gateway and this used to work fine on Mac's double click the RDP file and this automatically opened Microsoft Desktop App and you could login in once entering username and password. Since the last couple of updates to
RDP App it doesn't work when double clicking the RDP downloaded file, it works if I import it into the RDP App and start it but not when I double click it.
This is obviously causing an issue with quite a few users and causing our number of support calls to increase dramatically.

Error opening JAR files with double-click

I have this problem while trying to execute a JAR file by double-clicking in Windows Vista Home: the JAR file never opens and it appears the following in the command line:
