Problem:
We have a page which only may occur if a certain attribute is set to a certain value. LC cannot set the presence of a Page to "hidden".
Situation:
We have 4 production states, DEV, TEST, ACCEPT and PRODUCTION. If the production state is DEV, TEST or ACCEPT the final page may not be generated. The final page is a legal disclaimer containing fixed texts in subforms
Solution:
You tell me, because I do not find any way of making a page optional, not using the designer's gui nor through scripting in JavaScript nor FormCalc.

Ok I found an alternative way of not displaying the page, but it comes with a very strange side-affect.
I made a copy of my original to play with, and I wrote this piece of code only:
Orderform.Document::initialize - (FormCalc, both)if ($record.CommonMetaData.Environment <> "PROD") then $.Footer.instanceManager.removeInstance(0)
endif
This works in the copy-version, yet if I write this in the orignal I get the error "Error: accessor '$.Footer.instanceManager.removeInstance("0")"
I do NOT understand this _at all_ because after receiving the error I set every field equal in the original file compared to the copy-version. The code is being ran in the sam language, both client & server, Footer & Document have the exact same Object/Pagination/ ... settings.
Yet it only works in the copy-version, without any problem whatsoever, but in the original version it just refuses to work. I'm really stunned by this effect as I'm starting to wonder if the PDF is being generated @random or something because I cannot explain this behaviour in any other way.
Is there anyone who has any idea what the problem might be? I really am disappointed because I have a solution which works perfectly, yet it appears that LiveCycle is starting to hate me...

Layout Options - Page Order Does Not Work Correctly

I have a Photosmart C7280 All-in-One printer. The Layout Option - Page Order does not work as expected. The User Guide (page 95) states that the default for a multiple page document is to print first page first. The manual states that to print last page first requires one to change the Page Order to "Back to Front". For my Excel, Word, Internet Explorer and PDF pages, I need to leave the Page Order as "Front to Back" if I want the last page to print first. This makes no sense. In addition, I can't get my Quicken reports to print last page first no matter what I try. Does anyone no why the Page Order does not work as expected for Excel, Word, IE and PDF, and does not work at all for Quicken?

If you uncheck the "show" option, then the corresponding HTML for that item is not rendered on the page. Thus, when you try to inspect that item via APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02, it simply doesn't exist.
One trick that I use when I want to have hidden items on the page, but not make them take up any space, is to concatenate them to items that will be visible.
Using your query as an example, I would re-write it like this:

IE-11 internet options page corruption from a installed program,for a solution.

In the past, Microsoft has detected with my PC with a message knowing my internet 11 is corrupted, and corrected the problem with some success. I didn't uninstall the suspect program in time to keep Internet 11 "uncorrupted". I am now personally
looking for the solution, to get Internet 11 options page & delete page to function properly again, ahead of MICROSOFTS detection for the solution used in the past.

Cant get past the install options page

When I initially access the setup screen I get "Adobe acrobat 3d cannot be installed without adobe framemaker, robohelp or captivate because at least one of these products is required for activation of adobe tech comm. Suite and adobe acrobat 3d cant be activated without activating the suite". I then get through the Welcome to installer page and Liscense agrrement. In the Installation Options page I have an X for top level adobe TCS and 4 Xs for the next four products. Only acrobat 3d does not have an X. When I try to click Next I get "Please select at least one product to continue. Does not let me select one." but it does not let me pick one. I already had framemaker 8 and a trial of robohelp installed, should I uninstall them? The TCS was an upgrade product so that is why I kept the older programs. Any help you may provide is greatly appreciated.

You must completely uninstall the other products completely before
installing the TC Stuite.

How do I enter a "log-in name" and "password" in Security Tab options page; some sites block screen-sweeper?

The data screen-sweeper in Mozilla seems to be blocked by some sites I need to log into, since Mozilla security does not input username and password data. How do I input this info thru Options/Security/Saved Passwords tab for these sites? Thanks!

If there is a password field on a web page and you have saved a password then Firefox may try to fill that password and enter the name in the field just above that password field.

You may want to disable saved form fill to prevent Firefox from filling the name.

Language Selection Option - Pages 5.

Hello!
I am not to convinced about the Language Selection Options on new Pages 5. I do translations and work with different laguages simultaneously. With Pages '09 I had no problem with language.
Pages 5 does not automatically detects language, how can I enable the auto language detection on Pages 5?

Fingerprint option is missing from the Sign-in Options page

I have been trying to solve this issue for a while now but with no luck. I want to add a fingerprint login ability to my laptop (DELL LATITUDE E6530) which doesn't have a build-in fingerprint reader nativity. I bought an external fingerprint reader (Verifi
P3400) and installed the driver for it. Everything should work fine now on windows 8.1 as far as I understood because it nativity supports biometric login. However, the option to setup a new fingerprint login is missing for me. I tried the fix mentioned in
this
post here but it didn't fix my issue. I tried to log in as a local admin on my machine and retried the same fixes; all looks as it is supposed to look like but I still have the fingerprint option missing!!
So eventually I have two questions:
1.) How to enable the fingerprint option in the sign-in page.
2.) If I must be an admin to enable the fingerprint option, how to do it? I logged in as an admin and I still see the message "Some settings are managed by your sys admin.." How to remove this or otherwise change
settings while I still have it!

'Open with...' give two options 'Pages'

On my iMac opening a file with “Open with …” I have in the list 2 options of ”Pages”. Both work. Of course it is not a problem but more a matter of curiosity.
Is it possible to remove one of the entries?

When I Ctrl + click on a Pages document I get this menu with my 2 options.
The icon on Pages 08 have I changed, just so I can see the difference between the two Pages.

Options: Pages, ebook pdf, not converable

I used Pages to make a pdf book, hosted online for sale. It has around 100 photos that I used shadows, frames and 'floating' & locked ('grouped' some text discription text and 'locked') .
I'm wanting to make it into an epub to sell in iBookstore. Most likely, won't convert, because of the format varitions, I found out. But can I save it as a .doc or do I have reformat the whole thing? Just downloaded Sigil for a reader - have iMac (snow lep) version '09 Pages.
Also, I used a color background, light tan, can I do that in the reformat? Or, just have to go with the white?
I started reformatting with the "sample epub practice" Apple suggested, but if there's another way ...
I could "inline" the photos and take out the shadows, but since it's a photo/text book I'd like to keep the beauty of the book the way it is in .pft form.
I'm trying to avoid having to purchase special software to do this, if possible.

Hi fruhulda, Thank you for attempting to explain this to me.
When I go to the the first link you gave # 7 says "To export your Pages document as an ePub document, choose File, Export and make sure ePub is selected as the export format."
From what I read on the page, I've done what needs to be done to export to ePub.
I'v simply created my work in Pages 09, I went to pages, chose a template, wrote content, added pics numbered pages ETC, saved it to documents then I open the pages document, What I made comes up and I go to file, then export and then click epub but when I click on epub, the only option is to choose another format or cancel, the next button goes away. (the next button doesn't actually go away but it becomes non-clickable)
When you say " The message you have got tells you that you have used the Page Layout template instead of the Word Processing one you need for creating an ePub document."
I'm not sure if you're saying I've done something wrong. If so, where did I go wrong? Was I not supposed to use a template?

I do not have the "info button" as an option pages at I downloaded onto my iPad2. All I have is the paint brush, plus sign in the box, and a wrench.

I watched a video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2hC089Iri0 and noticed that I do not have the info button, nor the insert button or full screen button which are also described in the "Getting Started" document in pages on my ipad. Is this something I need to worry about?
Also wondering if you can make pages document in landscape or is it only for portrait?

With the latest release of iOS and iWork apps for iOS, Apple has changed the Toolbar buttons:
What used to be the i - Info Button where object properties and text were changed is now the Brush icon (For styles, I guess) but has the same basic function as the i icon before - select an object or some text and tap the brush and you can change basic attributes.
What used to be the Media Insert icon (representation of an image) is now the "+" Button with the same functions as the previous icon - you can add shapes, tables, charts and media
The Tools Menu (wrench) is the same as before except in Keynote it now also has the Transitions and Builds access menu (double diamond icon) which used to reside on the toolbar and is now tucked under the Tools Menu
The View Full Screen (double arrow icon) has been removed and the document is now always in full view, sort-of.
Apple has yet to update their Getting Started Files for Pages, Keynote and Numbers to reflect these changes so it is understandably confusing to users.

Recently firefox presents a screen on startup regarding plugin updates. I tried to disable the feaute in the advanced options page but it will not stop

The tabs in OPTIONS can no longer be accessed - it opens to the history page and that is all I can reach.

The options page comes in with the TABS inaccessible above the page level.

I recently tried to change a sved password for my Exchange Server email account, by deleting the site from my "Saved Passwords" tab in the Tools-Options-Security page. Now this web page won't save any entered data.

I wanted to change my password for logging in to my work email address. The site was not prompting me to change it automatically, so I manually removed it from the list in the TOOLS-SECURITY-OPTIONS page. Now this site won't retain any kind of entered data, such as addresses that I compose emails to very regularly.
How can I get this site back on the list that will save passwords? I've tried re-starts, log-out and back in, etc, and it won't prompt me to save a password.
