ORA-02069: global_names parameter must be set to TRUE for this operation

I have 10g database and a schema 'TMAPP'
And I have two table in TMAPP as
create table user_menu_privs
company_code           varchar2(5),
bu_code      varchar2(12),
user_group      varchar2(30),
user_group_type      varchar2(1),
menu_option_code number(5),
enabled varchar2(1),
query_only varchar2(1),
default_lang varchar2(3),
created_by      varchar2(10),
created_on      date,
updated_by      varchar2(10),
updated_on      date,
constraint pk_user_menu_privs primary key (company_code,bu_code,user_group,user_group_type,menu_option_code),
constraint fk_user_menu_privs foreign key (company_code,bu_code,user_group,user_group_type)
references user_group(company_code,bu_code,user_group,user_group_type)
create table user_dst
company_code           varchar2(5),
bu_code      varchar2(12),
userid varchar2(10),
user_group      varchar2(30) ,
user_group_type      varchar2(1) ,
font_size      number(2) ,
font_name      varchar2(100) ,
address_id number(10),
created_by      varchar2(10),
created_on      date,
updated_by      varchar2(10),
updated_on      date,
constraint pk_user_dst primary key (company_code,bu_code,userid,user_group,user_group_type),
constraint fk_user_dst foreign key (company_code,bu_code,user_group,user_group_type)
references user_group(company_code,bu_code,user_group,user_group_type)
I have another database 11g with a schema TMAPP.
Here I have created a database link 'to_dev' is connecting to the 10g db
using this I can connect and see the data from 10g TMAPP
I have created two views
create or replace view user_menu_privs as
select *
from user_menu_privs@to_dev
where user_group in
(select user_group from user_dst
where user_group_type='F');
create or replace view user_dst as
select * from user_dst@to_dev;
and I executed
delete from user_menu_privs
where menu_option_code=108;
I am getting the error
ORA-02069: global_names parameter must be set to TRUE for this operation
after that I set the global_names in 11g as TRUE
then I am getting another error as
ORA-02085: database link TO_DEV connects to DEV.REGRESS.RDBMS.DEV.US.ORACLE.COM -- that means link is not wokring
Please help

That is because when global_names is TRUE, the database link name MUST be same as the global db name of the database to which the link connects to.
You need to drop the database link and recreate it using the global name of the database it connects to.
'link name MUST be same as the global db name of the database to which the link connects to.' - I didn't say 11g.
And I didn't say 'put 11g database global_name=true' because you had already done that! 'after that I set the global_names in 11g as TRUE.
1. 11g - global_names MUST be TRUE
2. 11g - database link name MUST be the same as the global db name of the database to which the link connects to - 10g global db name
3. 10g - gloibal_names setting is irrelevant

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!

  • Excel Export Error: Store must be open for this operation

    Hi,
I’m currently running into an issue exporting Reporting Services reports to Excel that I haven’t encountered before. Unfortunately, I’m not able to find much information
about this error directly related to SQL Server Reporting Services. The error occurs on multiple reports with a varying number of rows (static columns). The reports are simple list reports with no custom code, etc.
Currently running SQL Server 2012 and SharePoint 2013. Here’s the related error in the SharePoint ULS log:

    Thoughts, comments or suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi K. Beckett,
Based on the error message, the issue may be a timeout issue related to the structured storage which is used as a container for storing binary Office documents. As I know, the structured storage is only used to store OLE objects or macros in Office Open
XML documents. By default, SSRS 2012 use Office Open XML format when exporting a report to Excel. To check whether your report server uses Excel renderer (xls) or ExcelOPENXML renderer (xlsx), please export another report and check the file extension. If it’s
an .xls file, it means that you have enabled Excel 2003 renderer for SSRS 2012. Besides, the name should be Excel 2003 in the drop down list of the Export option if you have enabled the Excel renderer in the rsereportserver.config file, and the EXCELOPENXML
renderer displays as Excel in the drop-down list of the Export option.
So, if you are using the Excel renderer instead of EXCELOPENXML renderer, use the EXCELOPENXML to see if the issue persists.
If it is not the case, I suggest that modify the timeout value for the SharePoint Web Application and the report execution timeout.

1.) Please don't double post:Urgent message : oracle9i form builder read  txt file error
2.) As for your original post: don't post urgent questions over here. If they are really urgent call oracle support. See How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
    and after all:
wcu-015: your form must contain the following bean for this function to be
    available : oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunctions;
are you certain, 100% positive, and absolutely sure you have a bean item with above implementation class in your form? I'd double check that...
JInit and IE8? I am not 100% sure, but I am almost certain that this combination didn't work at all. And please don't tell us you used that stupid hack where you replace the jvm.dll of JInit with one of a current JPI installation.
The Oracle Versions you have in place are rather ancient as well, you really should think about upgrading your database and your forms installation. As you already are on webforms moving to the current version of forms shouldn't require much changes in your forms.
    cheers

  • Unable to set iTunes as the default audio player - do not have enough access privileges for this operation

I have just upgraded to iTunes 10.5.1.42 (from 10.5.0.143).
When iTunes is launched, a message from iTunes came up saying:
iTunes has detected that it is not the default player for audio files. Do you want to make iTunes the default player for audio files?
[   ]  Do not show this message again
                                [ Yes ]   [ No ]
Clicking the Yes  button, another iTunes message appears:
An error occurred while updating the default player for audio file types. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.
                                    [ OK ]
I found in Googles as well as from some of my own notes dated a few years back which others (and myself) encountered the same problem before. I don't recall what was the solution to this annoying problem. Maybe I should just check the first box and tell iTunes to "shut up"? It seems that iTunes is already the default program designated to open audio files like MP3, WAV or what not. Why does it need to be set as the default player again?
Come to think about it, I do have a few files with .aup as extension. These were played with "audacity". Perhaps that upsets iTunes player?

  • Unable to set parent context for this record.

Has anyone seen this error when doing an import? In my case I was doing an import to the Opportunity Product record.
    the full error message is
Unable to set parent context for this record. Please make sure that the parent record is valid and you have permission to modify the parent record.
I was attempting to populate one field on the record with data.

    Hi,
Was there a resolution to this that you found, cause it's driving me crazy.
We've resorted to manually created a product in OnDemand with an EUI and exported it but we can't reimport it to overwrite it as we get the same error message "Unable to set parent context for this record"
The opty and the product both exist as they got manually created, although when you export them there are now 2 of them (I see this in reporting as well????)
Besides the Opty-Product External ID what else is required to do an import to overwrite?
    regards
    Alex

Total shut down Safari by double clicking the home button to access your multi-task window then hold your finger on the Safari icon until it starts to wiggle and a red minus sign is in the left corner, tap the red minus sign.  Then reopen Safari and give it a try. If that don't work try turning off autofill in the settings window then turn it back on.

  • Error Msg - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean"

    Hi,
I am creating creating new enterprise bean using j2sdkee1.2. I am able to create .ear file in desired folder, but can not create .jar. Please help. Getting above error message.
remote, home interface files and file having business logic (EJB) is compiled and kept at desired location.
j2ee server started, Deploytool is started.
Then I can successfully create new application (.ear file)
Then I go for creating new enterprise bean. I get same application name in Drop down list named "Enterprise Bean will go in".
Then I can add home, remote and ejb class file to create jar ("Add" under "Contents" ).
When I say ok after adding these 3 files, I am getting error - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean".
In the deploytool console, getting error - "java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\2sdkee1.2\mahesh\ConverterEJB.class (The system cannot find the path specified) "
Can you please help me where to configure the path?
    Can u please help?
Please send your answer to - [email protected]
    Cheers!

the path really begins with '2', without a 'j', ie not c:\j2sdkee1.2\...?
    "java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    C:\2sdkee1.2\mahesh\ConverterEJB.class (The system
cannot find the path specified) "

  • Do I need rtexprvalue set to true for a String that will vary from page to page?

Hi I am a newbie to JSP tags. I have done enough reading so far to see
that if I want an attribute of the tag to be a scriplet ie:
              <foor:bar name="<%=myObj.getName()%>" />
then the rtexprvalue for this attribute in the TLD needs to be true.
My question is what if I have an attribute that will not be read from
a scriplet but will vary from page to page. ie:
<foo:authorize securityLevel="1"> but on another page it will be
<foo:authorize securityLevel="3"> etc.. Since many servlet containers
create only one instance of the tag class and then re-use them from a
pool do I need to set rtexprvalue to true for an attribute like this
to make sure the tag reads the correct one as I go from page to page?

You do not need to set rtexprvalue to true for the situation you describe.

  • In version 4.0 I can't use the pinch feature on my trackpad to zoom in and out. Is there a setting in Firefox for this?

I installed v4.0 of Firefox and can no longer use the pinch feature on the trackpad of my MacBook. It seems to work OK in Safart and I'm wondering if there is a setting in Firefox to enable me to use that feature. The way the feature works is that you pinch your thumb & forefinger together or spread them apart to zoom in and out.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    browser.gesture.pinch.in cmd_fullZoomReduce
    browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift cmd_fullZoomReset
    browser.gesture.pinch.out cmd_fullZoomEnlarge
    browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift cmd_fullZoomReset
