ORA-15072: command requires at least 2 regular failure groups, discovered only 1

Hi,
I'm trying to create a diskgroup for a temporary purpose. I didnt mention the type of redundancy. When i ran the below command i got the mentioned errors.
SQL> Create diskgroup temp_dg disk '/dev/mapper/003w1_e2p5' attribute 'compatible.asm' = '11.2.0.0.0';
Create diskgroup temp_dg disk '/dev/mapper/003w1_e2p5' attribute 'compatible.asm' = '11.2.0.0.0'
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-15018: diskgroup cannot be created
ORA-15072: command requires at least 2 regular failure groups, discovered only 1
When i used two disks, then diskgroup got created.
All the diskgroups in ASM are of EXTERNAL redundancy.
SQL> Select distinct type from v$asm_diskgroup;

I would like to know why it was asking to create diskgroup of NORMAL redundancy. Is there some thing like default REDUNDANCY in ASM.
Please share your views.

    Hello -
I am getting ORA-15072 (command required at least one failure groups) when using external redundancy. I am using asmlib on Linux, and I have a feeling that it it a multipathing issue. Here are the output from some of my commands:

Why would I be getting ORA-15072 with external redundancy (using asmlib)?
    Thanks in andvance!

The header status is showing as "unknown"... Could this be part of the issue?

  • FW CS6 Error message: An error occurred. This command requires an active document.

    Hi,
I've been seeing the following message while saving active documents recently: An error occurred. This command requires an active document. My document does indeed save.
I'm wondering if a recently-installed (and much-loved) extension could be the cause?
    Has anyone else seen this?
    Thanks!

As far as similar problems, I recently opened Fireworks 8 to test the File Management button (the Put command in particular) and found that it triggered an alert message normally produced by Aaron Beall's "Deform to Path" command:
I tried closing the Path panel, and the alert message was still triggered. (I do have that command also available within the Commands menu, but I'm not sure what was going on there; however, since I don't use Fireworks 8 much anymore and never use the Put command, I decided to leave it alone.)
Currently, I use Fireworks CS6. Several months ago, I noticed a "migrating panel" bug, where panels within the default configuration had been mysteriously swapped for one another: The Color Palette panel had been replaced by Lorem Ipsum, while the Path panel had gone missing, replaced by the Color Palette panel—bizarre behavior, to say the least. I tried reselecting a default Workspace (as well as a saved one), but it had no effect on the problem. I still haven't taken the time to diagnose and fix the issue, but I suppose it might have somehow been triggered by the Lorem Ipsum panel, which was a custom installation.

  • I have 9.0 GB available on iCloud. Why am I getting a message saying I can't install to iOS7.1.1 on my iPhoneb/c it requires at least 1GB of storage?

I have 9.0 GB available on iCloud. Why am I unable to install iOS7.1.1 on iPhone? Gray area says it requires at least 1.9 GB of storage!

iCloud storage is for backups. You need at least 1.9 gigs of local storage, that is storage on your phone itself. Go to Setting>General>Usage to see what's taking up space and what you can remove.
    Best of luck.

  • Iam trying to buy OS Lion to my Imac but i can not buy  because its saying Mac OSX 10.7 requires at least 2 GB of memomie and mine has 1 GB what can i do?

iam trying to buy OS Lion to my Imac but i can not buy  because its saying Mac OSX 10.7 requires at least 2 GB of memomie and mine has 1 GB what can i do?

If it's just a question of memory, you can buy and install more. It could also be that your iMac is just not compatile with Lion.
    Minimum requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • IdeaPad 10Se and running software requiring at least 800 x 600 grafic resolution

I have bought an IideaPad 10Se this week with the 1024 x 576 resolution. I have problems installing harwere requiring at least 800 x 600 resolution. I installed my HP writer that requires at least 800 x 600 by attaching an external screen and made only displayed on this screen during installation. That was a fine work-around for installations. Now I have installed a Canoscan 4200f scanner using the same work-arround. Unfortunately the Canoscan Toolbox programme tests the resolution everytime it starts and when it is not up to 600 in vertical resolution it refuse to start. Is there a way to fool programmes that the resolution is 600 in vertical resolution and not just 576? Or how can I solve this problem.

I had a problem installing the Cisco VPN which required at least the 800x600 resolution
to install but not to actually run the software after it was installed.
It seems you can set the resolution to 640x480 using third party software but not
any resolution with more than 576.
FWIW 1024x576 is exactly the 16:9 aspect ration as found in HD TVs.
There is software that won't install and there is software that won't run after it is installed.
I found if I plugged my spare monitor into the VGA port and then used the FN+F3
you can make the external monitor your primary one temporarily. This assumes
the external monitor supports at least 800x600 of course.
Then just install or run your software 800x600 normally.
It's a kludge for the "won't install but will run" type software.

  • Could not run the script. This command requires an active document.

    Hi,
I'm receiving a confusing glitch running a batch process in

I want to resize images in one folder and export them to

  • Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge

I downloaded the labview driver HP428XA, the 'getting started.vi' works fine, but all other example application vi's keep giving me the following warning:
'Warning 1 occurred at VISA Read in HP428XA Fetch.vi->HP428XA Frequency Step Measurement .vi. Possible reasons:
LabVIEW: An input parameter is invalid.
    or
NI-488: Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.'
I am a novice when it comes to labview, can anyone offer a solution?
    thanks!

    Hi,
The two error descriptions refer to the fact that the error code (1) has a different meaning depending on what software component gave the error: labVIEW or GPIB (NI-488.2).
Since you are able to use the Getting started VI, that means that the GPIB bus, driver and the VISA library are working porperly. Additionally, you would not get a Controller in Charge error if do not explicitly configure the board to be non system controller. labVIEW automatically configures the board to be controller.
So the error must refer to an incorrect parameter to some LabVIEW function. Open the HP428XA Frequency Step Measurement.vi and use the highlight execution tool to see where the error is generated.

  • App store says OS X 10.8 requires at least 2 GB of memory. I have 249GB of memory

I have just copied my entire HD to an external drive and then wiped the original HD as it was running really slowly and want to rebuild with only the necessary programmes etc. First thing I want to do is upgrade from Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) to Mountain Lion. When i try to download from the app store I get this message: OS X 10.8 requires at least 2 GB of memory. Having just wiped my HD I have the full capacity of memory (250GB). Can anyone help?
FYI - I have just managed to do the exact same upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion on my Mac Book Air with no problems at all.
    iMac details below:
    Model Name: iMac
    Model Identifier: iMac7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 1 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: IM71.007A.B03
    SMC Version (system): 1.20f4

Your confusing hard drive storage space with RAM (Random Access Memory) memory.
    The two are completely different.
You only have 1 GB of RAM installed.
Your iMac can take up to a max. of 6 GBs of RAM.
I suggest installing the max. amount.
You can purchase reliable Mac RAM from online RAM vendors Crucial memory or OWC (macsales).
They have a chart or table that will tell you the type and specs of the RAM you need for your iMac.
    Good Luck!

  • Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge on dequeue element

I have some funky stuff going on in the attached VI. What the VI does is simply to log data to a text file. It is built up as a state machine. This VI's Create state is called from a mainVI (with the help of named queues). I get more than one error and it seems completely random. The error usually occurs if I stop the mainVI, then starts it again. So the second (or following) times the DP VI is called, I get random errors such as the two below:
Error 1 occurred at Dequeue Element in DP.vi->PSS.vi
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW:  An input parameter is invalid.
NI-488:  Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.
Error 1 occurred at Close File in DP.vi->PSS.vi
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW:  An input parameter is invalid.
NI-488:  Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.
Why is this? I don't even have a GPIB controller?

blawson, I think you found the error!
So shift registers only gets uninitialized again if I close the actual VI, and not when I start executing it again? So in reality, they actually behave like real shift registers? I found two solutions to this problem.
    1) To initialize the error shift register with an empty error constant.
    2) To remove the wire from the shift register to the Write to Text File. This works since I always call the Create state first.
    Which one would you recommend?
Also, what is the reason to keep the typedef strict? I have seen non-strict in other code.
Generally you should always explicitly initialize your shift registers unless you want to retain the values from one execution to the next. This is required for Action Engines but in most other cases you should use initialized shift registers to avoid side effects like you encountered in this application.
