Oracle 11g B2B commandline utilities to manage trading partners, agreements

Hi,
I am working on Oracle 11g b2b server configured with ebMS messaging protocol. My host trading partner is having more number of remote trading partners and hence more agreements. I am exploring the possible means of automating the creation and deployment of trading partners, creation and deployment of agreements and updating some of the trading partners configuration through commanline utilities. Are there any commandline utilities available to do these activities as a self-service in Oracle 11g b2b server? I couldn't find the details in b2b user guide document. Hence I need help to identify this facility.

In section 18 - B2B Command Line Tools, of Oracle B2B 11g user guide, it is mentioned that -
Self-service APIs are not available in this release.and as far as I know these API's are still not released. Please contact Oracle Support to get formal confirmation about the date when it may be released. You may also ask for any workaround available.

In 11g, all the commandline utilities are listed in single ant script, which is located at $SOA_HOME/bin/ant-b2b-util.xml file.

Can anyone help me in understanding all the below related in oracle 11G B2B
1. While creating a document type, we have a parameter called FA on ERROR, What is FA on error?
2.while creating a channel for remote trading partner we have an option called proxy, Any idea abt this ?
3. We have a option in 10 G B2B like "functional acknowledgement handle by integration B2B" do we have this option in 11G
4. Can 11G B2B handle CBOD Ex: in EDI we have a 997 for inbound or outbound we send 997 as FA, can we do this for OAGIS files.....
5. Can i have a 11G B2B important tables names and query to check the inbound and outbound messages....

2.while creating a channel for remote trading partner we have an option called proxy, Any idea abt this ?This is for proxy setting . when message are going via proxy then this has to be enabled and proxy setting has to be done in weblogic server.

SOA11gPS2 can handle CBOD and correlate with request message too. Oracle 11g b2b server JMS Internal Delivery Channel Configuration

Hi,
I am using Oracle 11g b2b server configured with ebMS protocol. I have created a JMS internal delivery channel at host trading partner. Now the Inbound message (message from remote trading partner) will be delivered to back-end application through the jms internal delivery channel. Now I wanted to send this message to the another weblogic server domain which is hosted on another box. So where do I give the other weblogic domain details such that the message will be delivered from the host trading partner's b2b server to remote weblogic domain queue?

Hi Baskaran,
As already mentioned by Nitesh, You can Create a Internal JMS Delivery channel and configure the same in your agreement to route the messages to the remote weblogic(domain) JMS queue.
Remote weblogic domain's ip address and port details can be configured as part of JMS Internal Delivery channel, "Destination Provider" like below,
eg.
java.naming.provider.url=t3://<host>:<port>;java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory;java.naming.security.principal=<username>;java.naming.security.credentials=<password>
In this case the messages directly delivery to the remote JMS queue.

Is this right?

Handling Space as Delimiter in Oracle 11g B2B

Greetings to B2B Gurus!!!
We are receiving Input Purchase Order files from our customer with Space as Element delimiter but this is causing an issue while processing the Input EDI file as if the data coming in EDI file contains any space then its considered as 2 different element. Please find the example below.

Issue here is in CTB segment, SHIP IMMEDIATELY is coming as CTB02 element bud due to space delimiter, its taking SHIP as CTB02 and IMMEDIATELY as CTB03 element. Hot to handle this case in SOA 11g B2B?
Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Hi Saravana,
It's the problem with sending application. Ideally sending application should use Replacement Character delimiter to replace the delimiters existing in EDI X12 data.
As per the functionality of replacement character, if a character contained in the payload data is also being used as a separator, then that separator character(s) found in the payload data should be replaced by the specified replacement character when sending the interchange.
It is not considered as a good practice to choose separator's/delimiter's which can be easily part of the EDI data.

Does Oracle 11g Express Edition 11.2.0.0 support the impdp utility ?

We are trying to import an Oracle dump within a Express Edition, without success. We got the error message: ORA-39213: Metadata processing is not available.
A) Source data base: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0
B) Target data base: Oracle Database 11g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0
Searching for solution led us to following forum entries:
1. http://kmpdba.wordpress.com/2012/05/02/ora-39213-metadata-processing-is-not-available/ Cause: DBMS_METADATA_UTIL package does not successfully ran. Solution: to install (among others) SQL> @$ORACLE_HOME/javavm/install/initjvm.sql
2. But: there is no @$ORACLE_HOME/javavm/install/initjvm.sql scrript -> http://www.oracle.com/us/products/database/enterprise-edition/comparisons/index.html -> Oracle 11g EX does not support java
Questions:
a) Does support Oracle 11g EX the impdp utility at all ?
b) How would it be possible to import the above mentioned dump from (A) into (B) ?

Sounds like the messing xsl files issue here: Upgrade from XE10 to XE11
Try
execute sys.dbms_metadata_util.load_stylesheets;and see if you get the missing xsl files error.
The XSL files are not distributed with Oracle 11g XE, but seems to be pre-loaded in the default database created by the installer. If you try to create your own database it wont have the stylesheets loaded and you'll need the xsl files to load them up.
The quick solution will be to copy the 180 xsl files from an Oracle 11.2.0.2 Enterprise to your Oracle 11g installation ($ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/xml/xsl/) and load the stylesheets.

I tried installing oracle 11g in centos using Tim's tutorial and i all went fine initially i got the oracle 11g installation GUI and i got an error while starting database configuration.
The error was : TNS failed
and i got two options in that dialog box "ignore" and "abort"
after press ignore a few times.the installation finished successfully.
When i opened terminal and typed
sqlplus SYS as SYSDBA
it asked for password
when i gave the password again it showed the error TNS failed

Oracle 11g R2 Client Silent Installation Issue (PATH) Windows 7 x86

I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on this issue.
I created a Response file using the 'Save Response File' method during an interactive installation on a Windows 7 Enterprise x86 client. (file enclosed)
I have installed it multiple times now with multiple permutations of the command line (got caught out by the old lower case F in responseFile) but now I'm getting the same error each time (a critical error with the PATH according to the installation log). There is nothing wrong with the path length as the installation works fine in GUI mode and passes the Prereq check.

Looking For Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility

I'm trying to install a development Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.7 (Weblogic, BPM, etc) environment in a Windows Virtual Box VM. I'm following the directions in the following document: Oracle Fusion Middleware Download, Installation, and Configuration ReadMe. I've installed Oracle 11G r2 and am on the step for using the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility". I have looked high and low and can't find this utility on the Oracle web site. Can someone PLEASE point me to the location so I can download it.

Here's more information on the machines.
Machine where the Oracle Database 11g Express Edition: IP Address is 10.162.128.67
Machine where the SQL Server database: IP Address is 142.120.51.30.
I've modified the tnsnames.ora to the following:

Oracle 11g ODAC 11.1.0.6.21 on Windows 2008 Standard server gives TNS error

Hi,
I have Oracle 11g ODAC 11.1.0.6.21 installed on my Application server that has 32 bit Windows 2008 Standard. The Oracle database 10g is installed on another 2008 server. On database server I can connect using SQLPlus. But on application server I cannot connect using ODAC SQLPlus. I have given correct service name in tnsnames.ora file.
Error is ORA-12154 TNS: Listener cannot resolve service name
What's wrong? Is 11.1.0.6.21 not meant for Windows 2008? I did not get any errors while installing.
This 11.1.0.6.21 works perfectly for me on XP machine.
I have browsed this forum but not getting clear steps to peform.
Can someone guide me what is needed?

Hi,
The request to connect from the client is reaching the server but it seems the parsing of the service name is either wrong or the information is correct. Here are a couple of suggestions.
If you have a good known set of sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora files on another client where the same connection descriptor works, then backup the curreny client network config files and copy the good known files to the Windows 2008 web server where you see the error. Make sure you recycle the worker processes once the files have been copied.
Try to connect via Ezconnect and by pass the config files to see if you get the same error.
//hostname:port/servicenameofdb
where hostname is the machine where the target database is running
port is the port on the DB machine where the tns listener is running and listening
service name is the service name of the target DB
Use this syntax in the connect string box when attempting to connect from SQL PLUS out of the ODAC home.
You can also run lsnrctl utility on the server and vertify there is a handler for the service name or instance that is the target,

Installing oracle 11g R2 on windows 7 32bit OS

I am able to complete installation of oracle 11g r2 on my computer. However, "OracleDBconsole" is unable to start.
On searches made thus far, I am supposed to drop *Database Control Configuration files and recreate it using *
emca –config dbcontrol –repos create.
i am unable to drop the DB control config files, see error below:

I was pretty sure it was an ill-fated attempt to post a picture.
You can easily copy the text from the command prompt and past it into your posts. This is far preferable to trying to post a picture, which - as you see - doesn't work. And using a third-site picture hosting service is frowned on for several reasons.
Please offer me your assistance.
Did you read the error message that pointed you to a log file? Did you read that log file? What did you learn from that exercise?

Errors in Oracle 11g R2 Grid Infra Installation

Hi all,
I went through the steps to install Oracle 11g R2 Infrastructure on RHEL 5.2 (32-bit) in a couple of Vmware machines.
- As I relied on the Vmwaretool for time sync, I didn't configure SNP.
- As I don't have a DNS server, I configured the scan-rac in /etc/hosts.
I know in production this is wrong, but for this testing env it is Ok (according to http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/OracleDB11gR2RACInstallationOnOEL5UsingVMwareServer2.php)
All the configuration went Ok and the OUI went on successfully till
it reached to the last step: "Oracle Cluster Verification Utility" which, as expected, failed.
It generates the following long and complicated log: http://www.ahmedbaraka.com/temp/installActions.txt
My question is: Did all the errors in the log result only from the SNP and SCAN issues? Is there any other discovered issues?
