Oracle Entity Framework: some tables won't update the entity data model

I've successfully connected to an oracle database, and I've set up an entity data model project in Visual Studio 2010.
Using "Update Model from Database" on the EDMX file, some tables that I select are imported, but others do not appear. Is there something about these tables that prevents them from being imported?

When I tried this the first time, I missed a message that answers my question:
The table/view does not have a primary key defined and no valid primary key could be inferred. This table/view has been excluded. To use the entity, you will need to review your schema, add the correct keys, and uncomment it.
Another table was brought in because the entity model managed to infer a primary key:
The table/view does not have a primary key defined. The key has been inferred and the definition was created as a read-only table/view.

Up-to-date contacts on iPhone and MobileMe won't won't update the Mac

Hi,
I just got an iPhone GS and there's a glitch that's driving me mad. (I had an iPod Touch before this so it's not all new.)
First of all I had duplicate Calendars and Contacts ("On my Mac" and MobileMe) so deleted those on my mac by following the instructions here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1922950 which just left MobileMe.
After a bit of fiddling and resetting the Calendars now work so that when I update the iPhone it appears on the Mac, and vice versa.
However, this is not the case with Contacts, and since repeating the process (resetting the Mac, deleting on iPhone and starting again) now if I make changes to contacts on the iPhone they do update MobileMe, but MobileMe does not update the Mac. When I update MobileMe on the website it won't update the Mac either.
I've done everything I can think of/have read about and would really love to get this working as it should.

Yet more information:
I went ahead and clicked "Replace" and then got the following error message:
"You are attempting to reset Contacts on MobileMe from this computer.
Contacts have recently been reset on Mobileme. Are you sure you want to reset the Contacts on MobileMe?"
But nothing changed (didn't even lose the up-to-date contact changes on the iPhone) but then I get the error messages again and again and again...

You’re having problems with windows not updating the graphics.
It could be security setting blocking the update
You can go to HP.com and download the driver directly.

Could I update the schedule date by the add-in software OpenPS?

I create the R/3 PS WBS using the add-in software OpenPS from MS Project at the beginning. But according to our company working business , I can't update the WBS schedule date by updating the activity schedule date under the WBS, i can only update the WBS schedule. (so I have done some set-up and set the duration of every activity is zero). I hope I can update the schedule date by the add-in software OpenPS from MS Project during the R/3 system is online running(NOT the beginning).
We know the adjustment of schedule in MS Project is very easy and convinent. So if I adjust the schedule in MS Project, and I update the schedule in R/3 PS by the add-in software, then everything will be good.
But maybe this operation will have a bad effect on the running R/3 system.
Please give me some advice and practice experience.

You really MUST try things BEFORE saying that they are wrong.
The CDHDR table DOES store the creation date AND time because the system treats the creation as a Change.
If you simply enter ME51N as the transaction code in SE16N for table CDHDR you will see that it is YOU that is wrong.
Please do try to verify your comments before challenging Seema in this way, who has provided a good and workable solution.

How to prevent multiple users from updating the same data in coherence

I have a Java Web Application and for data cache am using coherence 3.5. The same data maybe shared by multiple users which maybe in hundreds. Now how do I prevent multiple users from updating the same data in coherence i.e. is there something in coherence that will only allow one user a time to update. If one user is in a process of updating a data in coherence and some other user also tries to update then the second user should get an error.

I have a question on the same line. How can I restrict someone from updating a cache value when I a process is already working on it. I tried locking the cache key but it does not stop other process to update it , it only does not allow other process to get lock on it.

When and how to update the "saved data" in report ?

The BO version is "BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0"
The case is that, some reports are uploaded withe saved data. while viewing the reports, the reports return the old data.
How to view the update data while click the "View" in CMC/InfoView ?
I have tried to schedule it , then can see the update data in "View the latest instance".
Is there any approach to refresh/update the saved data in the report ?

Can anyone help me to understand how to update the Master data/Text/ Hierarchy regularly for BW DEV.
Since all the new query developments are taking place in DEV, users are not finding the latest Masterdata/ Texts /Hierarchy in the DEV system.
I have searched in SDN and got a document "HOW TO DOWNLOAD A HIERARCHY TO A FLAT FILE". However, is there any other way to upload the master data automatically on periodical basis.
Please help urgently.

If you want to extract master data from PRD in order to load in DEV, i suggest to do this (its a tricky thing):
For example, you want to download 0EMPLOYEE
1-In PRD, transaction RSD1
2-Enter 0EMPLOYEE
3-Copy the Master table for 0EMPLOYEE (/BI0/MEMPLOYEE)
4-transaction SE16
5-Enter the table name /BI0/MEMPLOYEE
6-in the selection screen, go to "Options" Menu and select "User parameters", and now select "Standard List SE16"
7-Execute
8-Now its show's up the 0employee data, go to "System" menu - List - Save - Local File
9-After you have the flat file, only rest create Infopackae in DEV Env. and load it from the flat file.

I have created the universe in designer then I created QAAWS. In the web intelligence tool, clicked for new document and then chosen web services under other data sources. After giving webservices detailed, I encountered the following error.
Error from Personal Datasource : Unable to create or update the Custom Data Provider: invalid information retrieved while trying to get the structure. (CDS 105109). (WIS 10853)
Can anyone help abt this problem? I wud very thankful for them.

Can you post the wsdl URL. It would be of great help if we could have a look at the wsdl schema. Not all schemas are supported at the moment and hence the error. You can have a look at the limitations section in the documentation guide.

System.currentTimeMillis() will give you the current
system date and time as a long value.
~I think the OP wants to change the system time not just get the system time.

hi srikanth,
you might have selected given lowercase data
and please check in the Infoobject the lowercase Checkbox is unchecked then it will allow you to update from IP.
also check in the Datasource fields tab whether particular field is unchecked with lowercase.
if checked all records you are pushing will have to be in uppercase.

I have this exact same issue!
I was on 2.0.1 running fine until late last week, noticed emails would not show up unless I had opened them in outlook. I thought I ran into a bug so I upgraded to 2.0.2. Now I can sync my email if outlook had them opened previously, but no calendar or contacts at all. I don't think my exchange admins will move me to another server, any other ideas?
I love my iphone but if these features don't work I can't use it. I would appreciate any ideas.

Using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE to update the delivery date

I am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, to update the delivery date on the schedule lines...If I have 2 lines of schedule, needs to be updated the second one ETENR '0002'...
Bapi returns message that successfully processed, when I go back and look at Sales order, I don't se any changes on schedule line..
I am pssing into BAPI, sales doc and schedule line with the delivery date and the flag 'U'..and also I am using BAPI commit...
But, let me know if I am missing something and also let me know is it possible to change schedule delivery date or not?

Popup screen it is updating the master data

hi all,
when I open sales order and open header information part or Partner tab and if I am double clicking on payer I get an popup screen in this I can see the address details but if I am changing the Name of payer in that popup screen it is updating the master data. I am not able to get how It is happening.
Is there any problem with the customer creation ? or is it an SAP bug .

Option of changing the data in the customer details at the partnertab is a standard functionality.
But that will be limited to that particular document only.
It shouldn't impact the customer master. Kindly check again.

I have used datagrid addid a row by Click Add button on the NavigationBindingsource entered an employee name

humm, I falling the ball to the batsman(sqlserver) but it getting "NOBALL" in response(not saving). Ok it my be problem in visual studio I am struggling to remove my operating System, VS2013 and sql server, by reinstalling it might works.
because i havent any other computer where these application are installed for the test.
If you create and send me a small project that contain minimum of two columns of table( in sql server ) which can saving new data from datagrid so i will thankfull of you.
it is just for confirmation that either the problem is in OS or VS.

I think you are riding a bad horse (that tutorial) you are using, and you need to change horses. I think the 'modified' state is not being rasied on the entity bound to the grid when it has changed, and EF is not going save any entity that's not in a modified
state.
