ORACLE SQL QUERIES  FOR SAP

Hello All,
Can any body give me the total SQL queries which will be used in SAP.
Thanks&Regards,
Praveen Kondabala

Hi,
If you do need that kind of information, then it is easier that you do not use any.
> Like Oracle DBA
you only need to read the documentation about
1) brtools
2) dbacockpit (I assume you have a fairly recent SAP version)
you can find the information about this two "things" in

  • Oracle AS Adapter for SAP R/3

    Hello everyone.
    I have some questions abuot the Oracle AS Adabter for SAP.
    I have to get values out of miniSAP and integrate them in a BPEL Process. In SAP there is a function to generate a Webservice out of a BAPI for example! This Web Service I want to include in a bpel process. This is the way I try it till now!!!!
    Now I read an article about the Adapter.
    Is the task i explained abouve possible to do it with the adapter?
    If yes, Can I include every BAPI in a bpel process with the adapter?
    What are the prerequisites I need for the adapter? I have installed an Infrastructure, a Middle Tier (Portal) and the BPEL process manager.
    Thanks a lot

    Thank you veyr much Manoj for your reply. I just tried it now buit no fruits.
    I wonder if it can really be due to privileges given to my account, which allows to connect thru SAP Front-end but does not allow to connect by any other means. I can not think of any other possible reason.

  • Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R/3

    I am working with a customer implementing Oracle EBS Release 12.2.
    The customer has implemented SAP for financial modules and the oracle solution considers an EBS - SAP Integration for Receivables. Does anyone have any experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP? Can you give us some guidance regarding EBS - SAP Integration best practices?
    We have found a paper regarding Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3. We would like to have some information about what are the Oracle products we can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3.
    In case Oracle EBS can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter, we would like to know if anyone has experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3 for AR transactions and Receipts?
    Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • Oracle SQL Developer for OSX not able to compile/execute/handle packages?

    Hi,
    Have been stuck with this for quite some mins now,
    When I execute this simple -valid- create package statement in Oracle SQL Developer:
    http://www.pastebin.ca/757859
    It shows it's not compiled and has errors, when I check the Packages part in Oracle SQL Developer I see this:
    http://www.pastebin.ca/757860
    The ; after end has been removed by the application. In fact this means I can't do anything with packages in Oracle SQL Developer for OSX?
    Is this a known bug?
    Or am I doing something wrong?
    Any resolving response to this matter would be really appreciated.

    Yeah, that bug is in there since stoneage, and is really a no-brainer to fix. Until they don't, we'd be losing time recompiling.
    FWIW, everything works fine using the procedure editor for creating, editing and compiling.

  • Can I use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio version 11.0 to write SQL queries for "SQL Server Compact 4.0 Local Database"

    Hi, Can I use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio version 11.0 to write SQL queries for "SQL Server Compact 4.0 Local Database" ?
    When I use Connect Object Explorer, the "Connect to Server" dialog box which pops up has only 4 selections in the Server Type Drop Down List. They are Database Engine, Analysis Services, Reporting Services & Integration Services. I have read
    somewhere that there should be a compact database option. but I do not see it.
    What I would like to do is use free form SQL Queries against the tables in "SQL Server Compact 4.0 Local Database" .
    Once I have validated these queries, then I will use them in my Visual Studio 2012 C#, ASP.NET application. I created the Local Database using Visual Studio 2012 for use by my application.
    Thank you for your help..

    Hello,
    With SSMS 2005 we have had the Option to work with SQL CE database files, but not with higher Version of SSMS.
    You can use the free SQL CE Toolbax instead; see

  • What MS SQL version for SAP ECC 6.0?

    Hi,
    we are preparing ourselves to move away from SAP R/3 & MS SQL 2000 to SAP ECC 6.0 and a new SQL platform.
    From what I found, it runs on SAP_BASIS 7.0 - so both SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 are supported.
    I was wondering, however, what SQL version do I need - would SAP ECC 6.0 run on Standard or does it require Enterprise Edition of SQL server?
    Many thanks
    Gavin
    Edited by: Gavin Clark on Sep 9, 2008 5:07 PM

    Hi Gavin,
    you should always use the SQL EE for SAP installations (because of additional features that only come with EE).
    Concerning SQL 9 or SQL 10, I would definitely go for SQL 10. It has some nice features like Backup Compression, Page/Row Compression and so on. Have a look [here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60a236a2-8104-2b10-5ebe-8fef61cc82fd]. Just make sure that your installation meets the SR3 requirements.
    We already have SQL 10 in production and did not encounter any problems.

  • Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS - Where is the filter applied?

    I have just managed to get the Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS (YEAH!)
    working on a Linux 2VM cluster and was curious where the filter in the where clause is being applied to limit the data.
    i.e. is it being pushed clear down into hadoop or is hadoop pulling all the data and then then it's being filtered or does all the data get buffered into the database or what?
    Thanks
    Mark

    Along the same lines of this question, does anybody know a way to connect from Oracle to Hadoop/HDFS in such a way as to push the query filter down into the Hadoop query?
    I really don't want to pull ALL my hdfs data into the Oracle buffer cache for processing!
    Thanks

    one have any document to install this module, step by step ?
    thanks.

    Hi,
    To register an SAP event test on an SAP R/3 service, the Intelligent Agent must be running on the NT proxy machine that refers to the SAP R/3 system in its sap.conf file.
    Ref http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/em.920/a96674/overview.htm#1005618.
    This pack is intgted with OEM.

  • Download Oracle SQL Plus for Queries

    Hello everyone,
    Could any one let me know whether I can download free version of sql plus in order to build JDBC programs and execute SQL Queries? If so, could any one forward me the url where I can download the free version of sql plus?
    Thanks,
    Prathima

    3. then the next instruction is to set the library loading path in the environment.
    Could any one tell me how to proceed with step3 without running the exe file.Well, the Step 3 is pretty clear, isn't it ?
    3. Set the library loading path in your environment to the directory in Step 2 ("instantclient"). On
    many UNIX platforms, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is the appropriate environment variable. On Windows,
    PATH should be used.=================================================================
    If you are on Windows, add the full path till the directory where you unzipped the "InstantClient" in your PATH variable.
    1) Right click on "My Computer", which is either on the desktop or "Start" -> "My Computer" (depending on your version of Windows)
    2) Click on "Advanced" tab and then click on "Environment variables".
    3) Select "Path", click on "Edit" button, add the full path till the directory, keep clicking on "OK" till you exit.
    =================================================================
    If you are using a Unix flavor or Linux distro, you will have to set the "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" variable in your .profile.
    In Linux, the .bash_profile is in your HOME directory (echo $HOME once you log in). Append something like the following to it:
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<full_path_of_the_directory_where_instant_client_has_been_unzipped>
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    Same goes for the ".profile" of Unix boxes.
    Thereafter, run the .profile/.bash_profile in the current shell or log out and log in again.
    $ . ~/.bash_profile

    Just noticed your mention of "exe file", which hints at your OS being Windoze. You may disregard the Unix/Linux part.

  • Multiple SQL Queries in SAP BPC  5.1 EVMODIFY

    Hi All,
    We have multiple SQL Queries in Outlooksoft 4.2 which extracts data from Oracle source system with different set of selections and conditions and parameters. We were able to use multiple SQL Queries in Outlooksoft 4.2 using Transform Data Flow Task and paste parameters using evModify dynamic script task, where ever extract to source system is needed.
    According to  SAP BPC 5.1, all these multiple SQL Queries and extracts by passing parameters will be coded in EVMODIFY dynamic script editor.But, EVMODIFY dynamic script editor is not working with the sets of multiple SQL Queris.It's able to recognize and execute the first SQL Query, but not able to execute from the second SQL Query.
    Does any body, did multiple extracts using SQL Queries to the source system by passing parameters using SAP BPC 5.1 data  manager and SSIS Packages, please let me know, how you did achieve the above functionality.
    Regards,
    Sreekanth.

    Hi Sorin,
    Thanks for your update, I tried declaring the variable between %%....GLOBAL(%GTIMEID%,%SELECTION%) and the package runs now but the problem is that the package is executed using the default date value for the variable GTIMEID declared in the DTSX package and its not taken the date that I'm trying to pass from BPC.  As showed below, please if you could take a look to the ModifyScript and see the last line for the global variable and line 13  PROMTP(SELECTINPUT,%SELECTION%,,,%TIME_DIM%) where I am selecting the TIMEID:
    DEBUG(ON)
    PROMPT(INFILES,,"Import file:",)
    PROMPT(TRANSFORMATION,%TRANSFORMATION%,"Transformation file:",,,Import.xls)
    PROMPT(RADIOBUTTON,%CLEARDATA%,"Select the method for importing the data from the source file to the destination database",0,{"Merge data values (Imports all records, leaving all remaining records in the destination intact)","Replace && clear data values (Clears the data values for any existing records that mirror each entity/category/time combination defined in the source, then imports the source records)"},{"0","1"})
    PROMPT(RADIOBUTTON,%RUNLOGIC%,"Select whether to run default logic for stored values after importing",1,{"Yes","No"},{"1","0"})
    PROMPT(RADIOBUTTON,%CHECKLCK%,"Select whether to check work status settings when importing data.",1,{"Yes, check for work status settings before importing","No, do not check work status settings"},{"1","0"})

  • Monitoring Oracle SQL queries in VBA

    I currently use VBA with Excel to generate reports based on data within an Oracle 9 database. The amount of data is very large and the reports can take a long time to process. I have added status bar progress indicators for the majority of the report processing tasks to inform the user of what is going on.
    The problem is that I need to be able to monitor the progress of the main SQL queries since they take upwards of a few minutes to run each (mainly because I need to rank and order data). I currently use code similar to that shown below to query the database from VBA.
    Sub simpleVersion()
    Dim username As String
    Dim password As String
    Dim sid As String
    Dim objSession As Object
    Dim objdatabase As Object
    Dim OraDynaset As Object
    Dim strSQL As String
    username = "user"
    password = "pass"
    sid = "database"
    ' connect to database
    Set objSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")
    Set objdatabase = objSession.OpenDatabase(sid, username & "/" & password, 0&)
    strSQL = "select latitude, longitude, otherdata from scatter where otherdata > 50 order by latitude, longitude"
    ' This command takes a long time to execute when doing ranks/order bys
    Set OraDynaset = objdatabase.DBCreateDynaset(strSQL, 0&)
    Do While OraDynaset.EOF = False
    'Process the data and put on a spreadsheet
    'Status bar messages can be used here without problems
    OraDynaset.MoveNext
    Loop
    Set OraDynaset = Nothing
    Set objSession = Nothing
    objdatabase.Close
    Set objdatabase = Nothing
    End Sub
    When the DBCreateDynaset command is executed VBA waits until the dynaset data is retrieved from oracle. I would like to be able to do something similar to the pseudo code below.
    Execute SQL to create dynaset
    Do while still obtaining dynaset
    Check v$session_longops - Indicate time taken / remaining on status bar
    Loop
    I have found that if you execute a large query without any tasks that require the whole dataset before they can begin (ranks, ordering etc) the dynaset is created almost instantly and excel does not freeze up.
    With non dynaset operations such as inserts it is possible to run the query in non blocking mode. I am able to monitor the progress of the query and indicate it to the user.
    Dim myStatement As OraSqlStmt
    Set myStatement = objdatabase.CreateSql(strSQL, ORASQL_NONBLK)
    Do While myStatement.NonBlockingState = ORASQL_STILL_EXECUTING
    DoEvents
    Select Case intSpinCount
    Case 1
    Application.StatusBar = "Please Wait. Calculating data /"
    Case 2
    Application.StatusBar = "Please Wait. Calculating data -"
    Case 3
    Application.StatusBar = "Please Wait. Calculating data \"
    Case 4
    Application.StatusBar = "Please Wait. Calculating data |"
    intSpinCount = 0
    End Select
    Application.Wait TimeSerial(Hour(Now()), Minute(Now()), Second(Now()) + 1)
    intSpinCount = intSpinCount + 1
    Loop
    Non blocking mode is explained here. However dynasets are not supported.
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/A91202_01/901_doc/win.901/a90173/o4o00022.htm
    I have tried using pl/sql to insert the data requested into a temporary table and then the normal select statement to get the data back out. However since the data stored in a table is not ordered it isn’t much help to me since I still have to do the order by command.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    All help is much appreciated.

    Dear taktang
    I'm a newbie. I'd be grateful if you would tell me where to find "oracle-base"
    thanks
