Oracle Worflow notification subject change

Can anyone please tell me how and where the item_attribute "PROCESS_DISPLAY_NAME" is set in HR workflow. Please tell me the workflow package name where this is set as I want to change the subject of notification according to condition.

Actually I am using ICD for bonus and overitme request. HR workflow notifications message subjects use the token variable &PROCESS_DISPLAY_NAME. Oracle has given display name to ICD as "Individual Compensation Distribution" so in every notification either overtime or bonus it shows like '&PROCESS_DISPLAY_NAME for &CURRENT_PERSON_DISPLAY_NAME (forwarded to &FORWARD_TO_DISPLAY_NAME)' but my business want that it should display like 'Overtime request for &CURRENT_PERSON_DISPLAY_NAME (forwarded to &FORWARD_TO_DISPLAY_NAME)' if ovetime is selected and 'Bonus request for &CURRENT_PERSON_DISPLAY_NAME (forwarded to &FORWARD_TO_DISPLAY_NAME)' if bonus is selected in ICD.
So how should I put value into this token &PROCESS_DISPLAY_NAME to Bonus or overtime as per selection. As I am not aware where this token (Package name) is set in seeded code.

Digital Signature for QM notification status change

Hello experts,
I need your guidance regarding implementation of user digital signature for QM notification status change. Our customer has ECC 6.0 but they are not inclined to introduce enhancement package 3 soon. Now their requirement is that while QM notification status change they want to have a user signature pop-up to verify the user authorization to do so. But they don't want to do so by using digital signature via DMS status change.
I am really not sure if I have explained the situaion correctly or not as i am quite new to QM. But I am desparately looking forward to get your valued replies in this regard.

To fulfill the FDA requirement we have apply the logic to make sure that a digital signature is captured for status changes during task processing.
To map this requirement we have developed one custom table to store remark that will be displayed on digital signature remarks textbox. This table will have following feild:
STAT - System/ user status
QMART - QN type
SPARS - language
TEXT - character text.
Work with ABAPer to implement this, and after implementing validate following key point:
u2022     Validate that after successful digital signature that the signature cannot be overwritten.
u2022     Validate the locking of the User ID after customer specific number of unsuccessful signature attempts.
u2022     Verify that the digital signature works for each status.
u2022     Validate that if the digital signature is cancelled prior to successful entry that the system status reverts back to previous status and all processing authorizations allowed for that status still function properly.

Oracle workflow notification mailer configuration error

hi,
i am trying to setup oracle wf notification mailer and trying to put a test email address so that all the emails go to that email address.
but getting following message,
FAILURE: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: class javax.mail.MessagingException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. p5sm5221427pbd.12
my env:
Oracle R12 on Oracle Linux 5.5
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
imap server: imap.gmail.com
outgoing and incoming: SSL enabled
my sendmail in Oracle linux 5.5 works fine and using that i am able to sent email address to outside world.
please advice on the above error that i am getting in notificaiton mailer configuration screen.

Want to load excel data into oracle table with out changing it to CSV

I have a requirement in dumping excel data into oracle database table without changing it to CSV file and this has to be used in normal sql/plsql environment i.e., pkg/procedure cant be used in the forms also...

The link Pavan provided discusses Oracle Heterogeneous Services. This allows you (using ODBC) to create a database link from Oracle to a non-Oracle data source like Excel. This would allow you to query the Excel data source from SQL*Plus or any other client tool. But that is probably going to require that your Oracle database is running on Windows since I'm not aware of any Excel ODBC drivers for Unix.
Another potential option would be to write a Java stored procedure that parsed the file. There are a few different Java libraries that can read and write Excel data files. You could load one of those libraries into the database's JVM and then write Java code that parsed the file. You would then be able to call your Java stored procedure from PL/SQL.

Shared calendar does not send notification of changes/updates

I just recently updated to iOS6 and began sharing my calendar with my girlfriend, who is iOS5. She is able to add and make changes to the calendar and I receive updates in the Invitations tray of the Calendar app. But when I make changes she is not notified of the change. If the option on iCloud.com is changed to received email notifications she received it just fine...but not so with in app notifications.
Any suggestions on what could be the problem? I am using an @me.com email address and she has a yahoo email also used or her Apple ID. I even went so far as to register her for iCloud and set up a new email address but she still did not receive notifications of changes. Could this be related to using different version of iOS or is this expected behavior?

Appreciate your response, I referred the whitepaper also. White paper also says if there is any change in the sales order, automatically a note is sent to the buyer regarding the changes.
It doesn't mention any setups as such.
Normal back-to-back order is working fine.

You can check the exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020. You can read the previous status and current changed status using fm STATUS_READ and compare both.

I'm building an application in which I use different sql queries depending on the value of JChoice. When I change this value I get the message java.sql.Exception: [Oracle][ODBC] Option value changed.

Server.log full with oracle.ons.notification junk

Hello Forum...
I'm pretty new to orion application server - I see my OC4J server.log is over 50 MB! - full with this kind of entry that updates ever 30 seconds:

Despite searching around on this forum, I've still no idea what it means, and how to prevent it logging like crazy.

Sorry, don't know the answer off the bat for this one. I've seen it myself so I know what you refer to. It looks a little like a server trace log that is being emitted. If it wasn't for the size/frequency of it, you could safely ignore it -- it simply means that OC4J is responding to OPMN events to inform it that it is still alive.
If you can, I'd think about opening a support tar for this and see if there is an existing fix, or if not, get a bug logged to get it fixed.
I just had a look and can see in the code where its occurring and it should be trivial to fix it. I'll log a bug for it so if you do raise a TAR the details will be known to the support analyst. The bug # is 7132128.

Notification task changes

Our business want to see SAP report which display notification task changes.
Background:
For QN we have different task. At the time of QN creation we assign planned finish date to each task. If somehow person is not able to complete task before planned finish date then he go to QM02 & change planned finish date & save.
So audit purpose our QA team want to know how many time this planned finish date changed & by whom. So do we have any SAP std report for this req?

As far as my experience in this respect is concerned, while remaining with the standard functionality, configure the Notification Types (In Category 05 General Notification) for all the Notification Types you want to change to some other Notification Type. Then configure the Allowed Change of Notification Type. Create Notifications via IQS1 and thereby change the Notification Type via IQS22.

If i change the oracle username for a person, what happens to the existing workflow notifications in the database? Does the recipient role also changes or do we need to change it and how?

Customize Schedule Notification subject in Oracle Hyperion System 9.3.0.1

Hi all,
I am working on external trigger event and sending notification after bqy get updated so I have published a bqy file as a job and scheduler is working fine I am able to send mail to required user but These all are fine.
But I want to customize my mail(the notification mail)
Is there any way to customize notification mail. I am working on Oracle Hyperion System 9.3.0.1.
If anybody have gone through this please help me

and web analysis is not seperate tool whn u install planning u get that
And Hyperion Planning Desktop its 4th version where destop was instrodused ......not in 9 i......t has be take out so

RE: Mail notification on changing the status of the spport desk messages

I am facing problem with the automatic mail notification in service desk configuration.
When i create a support desk message in the satellite system, the message appears in crn_dno_monitor in solution manager. When i change the status of the message from new to in process, i get a mail only with the subject line "MESSAGE IN PROCESS STATUS' and the pdf attachement (sapscript) is missing. I have checked all the configurations in SPPFCADM but i am not able to figure out the problem. Please help me out of this problem.

there is a SAP Note with a tutor for send_mail via action. See Note 691303 and the attached .zip-file.
It shows step by step how to set it up and is a very good tutorial. You'll need additional (free) software to let it run.

@Sowmya: what content does the mail have? None? There is a possibility in SolMan where you can choose whether you want the content as a .PDF-Attachment (which, in my eyes, isn't that sparkling) or as regular mail text.
It is located in TA SCOT. Double klick on "SMTP", then klick on "Internet" and there choose in the Drop Down Menu of Sapscript. When you have trouble, look at my [screenshot|http://home.arcor.de/dirk.malas/solman/Mail_TXT_PDF.JPG].
