OracleCSService unable to start on win2003 node after patching to 10.2.0.4
Hi,
Anyone facing problem starting the CS service after patching to 10.2.0.4 on 1 win2003 node while other win2003 node works fine?
Well seems I found the solution to it. Pl read on if u r facing same problem:
1. on the non-working node goto the log folders inside "$ORACLE_HOME/log/<node1name>/css/cssdout.log"
2. if u see any errors like ssmain_run_css going into looping then
3. from cmd run "crsctl check boot"
4. check any dll error reporting...(in my case it was orahasgen10.dll)
5. compare this dll size/date with the one on working node.
6. If its different copy same dll from workingnode to non-working node.
7. try restart oraclecsservice. It should start now.
Hope this helps. I spent a lot of time researching this so hope someone benefits from this.

Unable to start any VM's after accidental shutdown.
Hi everybody,
after my beautiful daughter, which i love very much, shutted down my desktop the hard way my HyperV has been down.
I hope she did not waste more than a full day waiting, but i have not been able to find out as i have been unable to start any VM's since.
The hardware requirements is met and enabled etc. it worked flawlessly prior to the shutdown.
initial error:
"Vm cannot start because the hypervisor is not running."
and true that - none of the HyperV services are running, and they won't start when i want to start them manually.
so i checked the BIOS, Virtualization is enabled in the CPU. so far so good.
last but not least i checked the BCDedit.exe just in case and the hypervisorlaunctype were set to 'Auto'.
BCDedit print:

Then i went log hunting and found a couple of errors:
Event viewer\windows log\System
event id 36:
Hypervisor launch failed; the image \Windows\system32\hvix64.exe failed code integrity checks, and cannot be used.
and a second under:
Event viewer\logs for programs and service\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V-VMMS
Event ID 15350:
VID driver not running.
after some googling and reinstalling the feature i eventually came up empty handed, so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

ran the command a couple of time and rebooted as well.
every time i recieve this message after the SFC:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.Log
Looked in the and found some of the entries not fixable where regarding hyperV.:
and tried just to try to start a vm and same issue.

The same project used to work a 2 weeks back, but now it shows this exception and fails to start. More precisely, the app will be in "Starting" mode for a while and then shows "Infrastructure Error".

Is there a chance that you've run the app on neo-sdk-javaweb (version 1.x) two weeks ago?
Do you use J2EE functionality in your app? In neo-sdk-javaee6 2.x there's already javassist packed in the runtime and bringing another javassist with the application may cause problems since the runtime may start using the app version.
You may try removing the 3.16.1-GA library in case you need to run it on 2.x. Or try running it on 1.x if you don't need any J2EE functionality.

Means, it is NOT able to find any DB Schema with the Table named like "BEAXACMLAP"...
When we create a new domain using Config wizard, you select customize option and in one of the following screens you will see like 2 Radio buttons with options as " I do not want to change anything here" and " I want to create, change or remvoe RDMBS support". NOW use the Default setting like I do not want to change. Once I checked other radio button and ran into issues like yours. Basically if you check, YES, then you need to load another .sql file in this db schema located at: "C:\beawls1032\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\rdbms_security_store_oracle.sql". This .sql file has the above missing table "BEAXACMLAP".
So I guess all you folks may have checked the radio button option YES, but did not run the above .sql file in that db. Under your domain root folder/config/jdbc you should see a .xml file with above datasource details. So run the above .sql file in that schema.
I would say please start over again. Create a new domain from config wizard and use default setting for above screen that I mentiond like " I do not want to change anything here" and proceed. I am hoping that should work.
NOTE: Running RCU utility or RCU related .sql files will NOT have above missing tables. RCU Utility will have all schemas/tables specific to SOA Components only like BPEL, WebServices, Workflows etc etc.

is the solution to this problem as simple as copying the directory "5.10.0" across to the other node?

Unable to start xorg after latest nvidia update
Hi,
I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 card. I did update to version 346.47 of nvidia driver and figured out that after reboot SDDM dont start. I disabled login manager and tried to start xorg server manually but without success. I see that there is segmentation fault in log but don't understand where it comes from exectly.

In addition, in order to disable sddm I downloaded latest Arch linux installation CD (2015.02.01) but I was unable to start PC with this version. Loading stuck after first 3 lines, after "triggering udevevents".
I had old version 2014.08 and it worked ok.

Dear Apple Support Community,
I am using a MacBook 15" (mid-2010) with Intel i7 2.66GHz.
Currently, I write to you via my sister's laptop as mine is unable to start-up Safari or any other web browser at the moment.
After a relatively smooth OS installation of OS X Lion, I noticed that my usual apps, Evernote, Twitter, Skype, and others, were not able to start-up at all (i.e. kept bouncing in place on the dock for what seemed like forever). I have since disabled their 'Open at Login' command and now start my MacBook up with no apps running. After restarting my computer countless times, I've realised that only selected native applications are able to open. Finder, Safari, App Store, iTunes, FaceTIme and most of the Utilities. Even on Finder, right-clicking is apparent blasphemy as the window freezes and the windmill pops up, and I am forced to relaunch Finder. Safari is only able to load simple web pages such as Google.
I have attached an excerpt of my Console for you guys (I could take a screenshot but dropbox could not even open to allow me to send it to my sister's laptop). As you can see, at every refresh, the same 5 messages appear, that a particular 'com.apple.launchd.peruser.501' keeps crashing. Correct me if I'm mistaken but this is probably the process handle for Launchpad. Although I am not sure whether this is the only reason for my computer's sluggishness post-Lion update, I would really like to eliminate this possibility.

Repairing Disk Permissions
Unfortunately, this yielded no positive results as it did not seem to rectify the problem. Subsequent reparations have produced the same log, hence I don't think it's working.
Waiting for Indexing to complete
Some people have cited that the reason behind the sluggishness could be due to the fact that Spotlight was indexing my hard drive for optimal search results. I have since waited 7 hours for the indexing to complete, but am still stuck with a computer that cannot even open Twitter.
Installing Onyx
Other forum users have said that it is possible that the computer's cache has been clogged up or something. I am not entirely sure what this means but I went to attempt to download the free product that most people have recommended. Although installation was a cinch, I was not able to even start Onyx. After 10 minutes, Lion just told me that the program had been unresponsive for too long and asked me whether I wished to kill it.
I am almost certain that the overarching problem could be erroneous sharing permissions. But then again, that is no reason for my computer to behave in such a snail-like manner. I would really appreciate if you guys could provide me with some sudo commands to use in the terminal or something that can fix the problems my computer is facing, after understanding the limitations that I currently face considering the state of my MacBook.
The fact that I am writing here on this forum is that I wish to do anything other than a full reinstallation of the OS that has caused me so much anxiety (Snow Leopard was just magical compared to this pile of sh*t, pardon my language). I just want to do everything I can before having to resort to such a barbaric act (I have a lot of applications but I don't know whether I am able to restore those using Time Machine as well).
In any case, thank you guys so much for reading all the way to the end. Help of any sort, be it sincere or condescending, will be fully appreciated. Please don't hesitate to ask for more information if I have not already provided it. As I am an average user, I may not be too familiar with jargon. So if getting the information requires complicated procedures, please provide a step-by-step.
Also, tl;dr: Updated from Snow Leopard to Lion, computer became slow and buggy, tried many things, didn't work, need help.

Unfortunately, I am still unable to open my core productivity apps, namely Skype and Evernote. Twitter, as well, could not start. But interesting quick fix though, I never knew you could do that.

Unable to start the Managed servers OIM and SOA after starting the Weblogic
Hi,
We are unable to start the any manager servers after starting the weblogic Admin Server.
We are getting the below error after trying to start the OIM or SOA managed servers.
Error: Exception thrown by the agent : java.rmi.server.ExportException: Port already in use: 5555; nested exception is:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use
We have also cross verified that the port 5555 is listening after starting the weblogic Admin server.
Please help us to start the managed servers in the weblogic 10.3.5.

Hi,
After a sudden power failure, I guess vista file system is corrupt. I am able to start vista in normal mode, but it seems there are errors like Event Log service unable to start itself, when I start IE, it closes automatically ,
Norton antivirus does not start itself. and so on.
After Bing search, I went to safe mode and executed sfc /scannow and it reported error as below.
"Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Unfortunately I am unable to upload log file, so I am pasting CBS.log content here.... Please advice.

I'm unable to start Hyperion EPM Architect - Process Manager after upgrading from EPMA 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.3.03. I get the following error in the Event Viewer.

I've run through all the steps of patching EPMA ran the Oracle_Upgrade 9.5.0.0.0.10 to 9.5.0.0.9.1.sql script per the patch readme. But can't figure out where it's pulling the schema version number from. Any ideas?

you forgot to update the EPMA database. Last step in patching is:
Now, you must run the database upgrade script before starting the process manager.
Run the single database upgrade script that corresponds to your database vendor.
Oracle_Upgrade 9.5.0.0.0.10 to 9.5.0.0.9.1.sql
SQL_Server_Upgrade 9.5.0.0.0.10 to 9.5.0.0.9.1.sql
DB2_Upgrade 9.5.0.0.0.10 to 9.5.0.0.9.1.sql
The scripts are located in the following directory:
%HYPERION_HOME%\OPatch\EPMA_11_1_1_3_01\files\products\Foundation\BPMA\Server\conf\

Unable to start node manager of WebLogic 12c on OEL 5.9 64 bit
Hi,
I have WLS 12 running on OEL 5.9 64 bit.
The installation ise JDK instead of the default JRockit.
The version of Java that has been installed is from rpm: jdk-7u25-linux-x64.rpm
I have created a domain.
I am unable to start the Node Manager the first time, and thus unable to create the file nodemanager.properties.
I get an error:
weblogic.nodemanager.common.ConfigException: Native version is enabled but nodemanager native library could not be loaded
I have added JAVA_USE_64BIT=true in the commEnv.sh, but it seems not to help.
Does someone know how to get the nodde manager runing on a Linux x86 64 bit?
