Order changes in Monthly and Weekly Data View

Hi,
    I need some of your suggestions for my problem below:
I have a planning book with two data views (1 with monthly bucket and other with weekly bucket).Now I create three forecast orders in the weekly data view as below:
Quantity     Date
10         05.11.2007
20         12.11.2007
30         19.11.2007
So I can see the sum as 60 in the monthly data view. Now I try to modify (deduct by 5) the forecast order from the monthly data view. So the sum 60 changes to 55 but when I see the details of the order it looks strange to me.

Please let me know what is the logic behind this?
But if I perform the above calculation for the category 'HG' as above I get the result like this.

This is possibly because of the settings in the planning area for the time disaggregation of the Key figure
Can you go Planning area administration and see what the setting is in the key figure disaggregation tab?
I think it needs to be P for proportional distribution and will use previously existing proportions for new quantities.
instead in your case it is ignoring previously exsisting proportions and distributing afresh. Am not sure what type that is (K?)
the F1 on the time based disaggregation field will give you a better idea.
if you want to know why the 11 and 5 are there at the ends and 13 is in the middle buckets, it is because the storage buckets for the weeks have 6, 7,7,7 and 2 days and 55/30 multiplied by these days is how the number are calculated.

Month and Week Calendar view - does not show events that span days?

In the weekly and monthly calendar views, if you have an event, such as a show or an appointment where you will be out of town for several days, the view will only show the appointment for the first day, and not for the entire event life. For example, in MS Outlook, if you schedule an event that begins on Date 1 and ends of Date 2, spanning several days, the calendar will show the date range as blocked off. Does the calendar in CRM do the same? If so, is this a setup parameter?
Also, with the calendar, is there a way to have the small calendar in the left panel show the days with a scheduled event to be bold or somehow indicate that there is an event on that day?

Return the end of week date using month and week number

Hi all,
I am trying to find the date for end of the week using given month (201401, 201402...i.e, 2014 is year and 01,02 are months) and week number (01,02,03...) for the year. For example if my month is 201402 and week_number is 06 then it return the week_date
as 2014-02-08. Can you please help me in writing a sql statement for this scenario.

Current month is irrelevant

Change the "6" in the with statement to the week of interest and 2014 to the year of interest...

Handling Time Dimensions with Monthly and Weekly analysis

I'm charged to build a cube that can handle both monthly and weekly analysis. They want to be view projections on a weekly grain, but looking back at history they want to be able to tie back to the general ledger at a monthly level.
Is it overkill to load data down to the daily level in order to support multiple roll ups to the month and week? What is the best way to handle this kind of situation?

Having the data come as two different formats (one for months, one for weeks) versus having it come in daily buckets and constructing the months/weeks within Essbase is a call I wouldn't make without understanding the needs first.
Assuming there is no need for data at the daily level, I would weigh the selection based on performace. If the performance is not too outragious, taking the data in at a daily basis would make it easier to reconstruct later. If performance is an issue (or becomes an issue), I would still be tempted to load a daily cube at level 0, summarize the Months and Weeks, and then feed the main cube from there.
So many ways to do this... and for every way there is a reason you might want to try something else. I'd start with the easy approach, and only go "grand" if you have to (meaning: load it daily, summarize in Essbase, and revisit the detail/summary cube split idea if the performance tanks out).

Week-Data view issue

Hello Experts.
In month dataview when we copy value from one KF to other via macro, it gets copied correctly, but when a week lies in two month, the values is not correctly copied.
Take e.g. of last week of Aug 2011, where it lies in Aug as well as in Sept. In Month dataview the values are copied corrected in Aug & Sept, but not in week view. Can anyone please help me, how to fix this. We want the same values in week data view too.

I think you will notice a difference between monthly and weekly views when the week falls in two months. Taking the same example that you have used , lets say the value for august month is 100 ( for the last week that falls in aug and sep the value is 25 + 35 for the 3 days of aug it is 25 and for 4 days in sep it is 35). So in the monthly view you will see 100 and this 100 will just include the 25 of the last week and the 35 will be taken into account in sep month. But in the weekly view the entire 25+35 (60) will show up against that the last week of aug and that makes perfect sense . If your doubt is still not clear , please elaborate your requirement

Can't change the month in the Date & Time preference pane

I can't change the month in the Date & Time preferences pane. I deselected "Set Date and Time Automatically" but that didn's solve the problem. I would like to trash the preference (plist) for Date and Time but I can't seem to find it. What is it called?

In the International Formats, the date format is as I have it set, (YYYY.MM.DD) But the MM is neither blue, nor accessible for change. The year can be changed (YYYY or YY), along with several options for the day, but I can't change the month to a different format unless I change the calendar from Gregorian, or if I change from the short date to med, long or full. Although, even then, iCal and Date and Time only show the month as 1, regardless of what it should be, and without any capacity for changing it.

I turn off all calendars but the birthdays. Select [Print]. Choose all the months you want to see. Deselect all calendars but birthdays. Click [Continue]. On the next menu, go to "Layout", select how many pages to print on the paper. I usually print a border around each calendar then you're good to go!
By only printing the birthdays calenar, you won't get too many appointments to get in the way of brain storming and future planning, yet the computer still thinks its printing a useful calendar.

How to change Validity Start and end dates on a lane ?

I am trying to change Validity start and end dates on a lane for a product specific assignment.
What I see is as follows
1) Lane created by system /others I can delete and give the required start /end date ?
I want to know if I can change the end date without deleting the lane as its tough to delete a lane in production.

Hi,
we can change the start period and end period in the Transportation lane using the table /SAPAPO/TRPROD.
And then using the update command you can change the start time and end time of the product.

You can launch OEM from a client machine and then:
- Log in as system for example;
- go to tools,
- then - Diagnostics Packs, then you will have:
a) Lock Monitor
b) Perfomance Manager
c) Performance Overview
d) Top Sessions
e) Top SQL.

i am trying to use the select expert record to grab the last 6 months worth of data. I require the week start day to be a monday and end on a sunday.
Can someone please provide some advice the best way to do this

Yes this is correct, when it goes back 6 months i need it to skip the days prior and begin on a monday as we are reporting on a mon-sunday basis.
I have tried your formula Date field >= dateadd('m',-6,currentdate) and it seems to grab 6 months of data, but the group weeks are not grouping from Monday to Sunday...

How to take a report of the data for the Sales Order Change history for a particular period of time. It is required to take a report of all the Sales Orders for which the basic price has been changed. Please let me know the procedure. I could not get the data from the table CDPOS and CDHDR

Have you tried with VBAP where sale order details at item level would be stored.
Moreover, to my knowledge, there won't be any changes as for as pricing is concerned at sale order level but there is at billing level. Normally, any price increase / decrease would reflect in billing. So why dont you to table join through SQVI VBAP (for sale order details) and VBRP (for billing details) so that you can compare the selling price in sale order with billing.

ATP: Monthly and Weekly are overlapping

Hi Friends,
I want to start and stop on some specific dates in every month.
I am having a requirement in which weekly and monthly availabilty planning are overlapping. One channel has to be closed on last day of every month and start on 8th of every month. But all other days it should work also, ie, every week also.
So, what needs to be done. Right now one weekly plan is working. But if i create month end rule also, it's unable to recognize that.

Since your requirement to start and stop channels are not consistent every day or week, YOu might want to think about writing script to control the channels externally. The below is the sample comand to start channels where action = start or stop.
In unix or linux environment use wget followed by http or https url link as below.
wget http(s)://host:port/AdapterFramework/ChannelAdminServlet?party=party&service=service&channel=channel&action=start

Missing Points of my big order past 4 months and not resolved yet

I am an Elite Customer of Best Buy and have lots of product past few years.
I have bought order of more than $10,000
ISSUE: MY REWARDS POINTS ARE MISSING. It's being 4 months and I haven't got a single point from this order. Even with Elite Membership, if I have this issue, what others would be going through.
It's easy to make customer that me happy. Just issue the missing points to my account.
I am not able to use "missing my points" page as its giving errors and over the phone I am not getting help as most of the representatives can't help me.
I don't want to lodge complain in BBB regarding this small issue. Hope this would be resolved ASAP and hoping to get the answer and missing points in a short time.

How to change both start and end dates for an business event (or any object

Hi all.
We are in the case to change the validity dates for several business events in training management.
The special point is that both, start and end date, have to be changed.
In example, business event 00000001 is valid from 2010.01.01 to 2010.01.31 and shoud be "moved" from 2010.05.01 to 2010.05.31.
So if i run RHBEGDA0 report to change start date first, it doesn't work propperly because new start date is bigger than old enddate.
Next thing we thought is to change end date first, using RHGRENZ1, and then change the start date, with the report RHBEGDA0. Problem with this solution is that a business event duration shoud be calculated taking care of free days (weekends and day ofs).
Is there any better solution for this?

You can write an LSMW for this t-code if the number of business events to be maintained is huge.
