Order Management - Integration to ECC

Hi,
when we replicate order from CRM to ECC, we encounter the following errors.
any advice is really appreciated.
Thanks.
JD
Characteristics for Controlling object have errors (Notification E IAOM 034)
Company code is not defined (Notification E F5 165)
Company was not supplied in Function Module interface (Notification E FI 320)
You must enter a company code for transaction (Notification E KI 180)
Characteristics for Controlling object have errors (Notification E IAOM 034)

Hi Jushan,
1. Create a Billing Unit.
In transaction BP, choose Bp Role Billing Unit, create a Bp and Save. Note the Number.
2. Assign Billing Units to Sales Organizations
In SPRO:
Customer Relationship Management-> Master Data -> Organizational Management -> Cross-System Assignment of Organizational Units -> Assign Billing Units to Sales Organizations
here choose your Sales Oragnization and put the billing unit number u just created.
3. Assign Company Codes to Billing Units
In SPRO:
Customer Relationship Management-> Master Data -> Organizational Management -> Cross-System Assignment of Organizational Units -> Assign Company Codes to Billing Units
Put the Company code which is being used in R/3 and assign the billing unit.
This shall remove the error.
The reason for this error can be, in your Item category customization, u must have maintained the Relevance for Billing Option.

• Multiple CRM clients (MCRM) pricing and lean order management

Hi CRM experts,
We have a scenario where two CRM CLIENTS (not different systems/boxes) (lets say 100 and 110) are connected to two different SAP ECC systems (NOT different clients but different ECC systems). Both CRM clients have interaction center sales with Lean order management. Now ECC systems have to me merged and the it is required to have one ECC client is connected to 2 different CRM clients.
As per the note 1143540 provided by SAP on this subject it seems that multiple CRM systems can be connected to one ECC. The note tells that conditions exchange in not supported.
1) I want to know if conditions can be exchanged atleast with one system.
2) We know that multiple CRM systems/boxes are supported but are MULTIPLE CLIENTS supported
3) Will Lean order be supported with multiple clients of CRM with one ECC backend
Your help on any of the above questions is highly appreciated and points will be given liberally.
Thanks
Satish

Hi Satish ,
Though I have no document which says this would happen or don't , yet I believe this is possible.
I would visualize the scenario likes this
OLD Scenario
CRM_CLNT1--RFC_1ECC1 CRM_CLNT2--RFC_2-ECC2 ( CRM_CLNT* connected through RFC_* to ECC*)
New Scenario
CRM_CLNT1 -
RFC_1------ ECC1----RFC_2--
CRM_CLNT2
In my opinion at the CRM side this should be possible. It would not lead any change at the CRM side because CRM_1 system and CRM_2 system would still connect to ECC1 through separate RFC connections. But at the ERP side you would have to replicate the data for ECC2 in ECC1.
The Lean order or LORD connects the SAP ERP & SAP CRM systems through a RFC connection using LORD framework on the CRM side. The ERP fields and CRM fields are mapped using mapping table and data is exchanged through communication structure. I don't see any reason why this would be affected.
Let me know your thoughts on this.
I would be interested to know if I you find any relevant documents on this which proves my hypothesis wrong.

• What is order management?

what is order management?
is it a general term used for OTC cycle in SD or something else??
<REMOVED>

Hi
Below are details of Sales Order Management
Internet Sales
SAP Internet Sales (R/3 Edition) provides an e-commerce platform that enables SAP users to rapidly turn the Internet into a profitable sales and interaction channel. Internet Sales (R/3 Edition) offers everything customers need to sell products over the Internet: catalog browsing, product search, shopping basket, check-out, saving and retrieving shopping baskets, order status, and order history.
Field Sales
Mobile Sales for Handheld comprises a broad range of business applications to be processed offline on a mobile device, e.g., review customer information, take sales order via barcode scanning, create and/or modify sales orders, search for sales orders, and view a list of all materials.
Quotation and Order Management
Allows you to create and process orders, including pricing and scheduling order for fulfillment. SAP ERP supports many process variants, for example:
• Cash sales
 Ship-to-order
 Make-to-order
 Engineer-to-order
 Empties
 Batch processing
 Serial number processing
 Payment card processing
 Third-party delivery processing
 Complaint handling
 Returns
Inquiries
Allows you to create and process customer requests.
Quotations
Allows you to create and process quotations.
Follow-Up Order
Creates an order as follow-up document to the quotation. Copies the data from the quotation into the order and creates two transaction documents, quotation and order.
Automatic Partner Determination
Allows you to automatically determine the partners involved in the sales transaction, for example:
 Ship-to-party
 Bill-to-party
 Payer
 Contact person
 Employee responsible
Automatic Text Handling
Allows you to determine and maintain texts on header and item level.
Pricing & Tax
Allows you to automatically determine the different kinds of conditions, such as product-, customer- and contract- specific prices, free goods, surcharges, discharges, freights, taxes, etc.
Flexible Price Calculation:
Highly flexible engine to determine prices based on whatever criteria one might think of. (This needs to be part of the database.)
Price List:
Customer-specific price lists can be generated.
Tax calculation within SAP ERP allows you to calculate transaction taxes, such as VAT in Europe. For complex requirements regarding tax determination in the United States, third-party software can be integrated.
Payment Card Processing
Works with payment cards, such as credit cards. Copies payment card information from customer master data in orders and other sales documents.
Credit Management and Credit Check
Limits financial risks by carrying out credit checks that can influence transaction processing and setting up a workflow connection to notify responsible.
Credit check evaluates a transaction based on the credit standing of the payer in financial accounting.
Product Listing & Exclusion
Displays a list of products a specific customer is allowed or not allowed to buy.
Product Substitution
Enables the automatic substitution of products in sales documents during sales order processing according to flexible, predefined rules.
Free Goods
Offers free items on the sale of certain other items or takes money off a particular sale to a customer.
Minimum Order Quantity Check
Checks the product level automatically to determine whether a minimum order quantity has been reached.
Document Flow
Provides interlinkages of preceding and subsequent documents for a selected transaction (for example, production orders, deliveries, invoices, and complaints).

• Is Paypal a supported Payment Method in Oracle Order Management?

Hi there -
Has anybody implemented Paypal as payment method for Oracle Order Management?
We are on 11510 and looking to add Paypal as payment method apart from existing Credit Card, ACH etc.
I found a very old (2008) note on metalink that says there is an enhancement request for this.
https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&doctype=HOWTO&id=351691.1
We use Paymentech as payment processor.
Let me know...
1. If it's supported with Oracle 11510
2. Anyone has any experience implementing it.
thanks,
Edited by: techy on Oct 25, 2010 12:56 PM

Hi Stephen-
First of all thanks for your response.
Please note that I am not talking about using Paypal as payment processor (similar to Paymentech) but I am talking about using "Paypal" payment method for getting payments from your customers.
As per my brief understanding, I know that Paypal too provides payment processing functionality where I can get my customer Credit Card, bank accounts etc. validated through paypal tool (I think it's call payflow pro similar to paymentech).
Again, we are on 11510 right now so R12 functionality may not be useful for us.
Also, we have already integrated and been using paymentech for payment processing for Credit Cards, ACH etc within 11510. There is no issue about that.
I hope this is clear.

• OPM/Oracle Order Management

What are the pro's and con's of switching from OPM Order Fulfillment to Oracle Order Management?
We use Order Fulfillment now and are concern we will lose the profile functionality when and if we upgrade.

OPM Order Fulfillment is a simple to use Order Entry and Shipping application that meets the needs of many process manufacturers.
Oracle Order Management is more flexible and configurable to suit a number of different industries. Oracle Process Manufacturing is integrated
to Order Management and has functionality to support entry of order quantities in two units of measure, as well as designation
of a preferred quality grade and automatic allocation of process inventory.
In place of the Order Profile (or order template) functionality available in Order Fulfillment, we recommend using the Copy Order
functionality in Order Management. You can establish a special order type in Order Management (you can call it Template or
Profile) and assign a workflow to the order type that makes it "non-transactable" (the order stays in an "entered" state so that
it can't be booked or shipped). You can query on these special order types and copy them to create standard orders. When you
copy an order in Order Management, you can change the order type, so the Template order can be copied and the new order
type can be "Standard".

• Web IC Sales Order ERP Integration (Workcentre IC_SLO_ERP)

System: CRM 2007 s4 and ECC 6
I have integrated ERP Sales Order within my Web IC aplication. I'm able to create ERP orders from within the CRM based Web IC using the work centre IC_SLO_ERP. I can save the orders and the orders are saved to SAP ECC without issue. i have enabled Accesories, Coss selling, Top N List and Up and Down selling functionality as well. All of these features are working without issue. When i create a new order for a customer it shows the dates of the last three orders for this customer and as i add products it enters the details of the numbers of items of those same products in the last three orders and the average. In the order history i can see the previous orders and can drill into these to see the pricing, doc flow etc. it all works as expected
what it doesn't do however is list automatically the products that were ordered in the last three sales orders with this customer and the number of items ordered in each within the order as a proposal. I believe i have maintained the config for this as required. It also does not display a PPR that i have manitaned for this customer. There is no product proposal dropdown available either from which to select.
Do the features listed above work as standard using the CRM 2007 system integrated with ECC 6.0? Why is there no product proposal dropdown available as standard?
Regards
Eddie

Hi Paul
Just realised that the following Badi's were not activated:
Interaction Center WebClient > Business Transaction > ERP Sales Order > Business Add-Ins
Technical Names
CL_ERP_PPLB_BADI
CL_ERP_PP_BADI
Once these Badi's were activated the Product proposal dropdown was poulated
The standard Last 5 dropdown value now works and populates the order
The listings dropdown does nothing - i get a message "No listing proceedure found" - so need to sort that out
The Top N List drop down also does nothing - i get a message function start - function end but nothing added to my order in terms of line items
One other thing - i have maintained cross selling on some products but when i add these i can only see the cross selling details at the line item - no link appears in the C-Sell column on the order. is that not whats supposed to happen?

• BAM - Siebel Order Management demo

Hi,
I am at a large Telco customer and I am urgently looking for a demo of ‘BAM with Siebel’ for Order Management. Where can I find such a demo? It could a recorded video demo or a VM instance that I could run would be fantastic. Please point me in the right direction.
I have visited this URL:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/collateral/samples11g.html
However I am unable to download any file it only downloads ‘index’htm’ am I missing a trick?
Many Thanks,
Nitin

Hi Payal,
Thank you for your response.
I was also looking for options for BAN -> Siebel integration, i.e what are the options to allow Siebel users to view alerts and notifications sent by BAM do we a) Embed the BAM view in Siebel b) allow BAM to create Activities within Siebel for Siebel end users to pick up and action? Any viewlet around this would also be tremendously beneficial, what would your recommendation be around the approach for this?
Thanks,

• Funds Management-Replication to ECC-FPO Bdoc Error-Not known in CO

Hi All,
We have configured sap crm funds management integrated with sap crm campaign management.Below is the flow.
a) Create Fund Plan & Release it
b) Create fund for the fund plan above, post some budget, have some attributes like marketing org to determine in campaign & release it.
c) Assign the fund plan & fund to a campaign. Allocate some amount in the planning profile and release the campaign to create fund usages for the budget allocated. These fund usages will have some fund usage items which tracks how much amount each fund has been assigned.
d) Create some purchase requests and settle them in ECC and download the actuals to CRM which will create the appropriate fund usage for the same campaign as in c, capturing the settlement.
e) Run the accrual calculation program to calculate the accrual & then run the accrual posting program to post the accruals to ECC.
After step e, system creates fund postings with "posting transaction" as "accure" and which in turn creates CRM_FM_FPO Bdoc which gets transferred to ECC.
We are getting issues on this BDOC with error as " Object not know in CO". This error is being raised from ECC and when we debugged we found out that the external object id [Fund usage items, in the fund posting transaction or in the items of the BDOC] doesn't exists or not being created in controlling table iaom_ext_obj_inf.
By seeing these, in my opinion we seem to be missing some configuration or some important settings in either in MW or in Controlling in ECC.
Can anyone in the group please let us know what we are missing here ?
Thanks for your time.
Amol

Hi Chandra,
I've the same problem. I've checked the notes and all the settings provided in them are correctly set up in my CRM system.
Can you suggest another kind of solution?
Points if helps,
thanks a lot,

• Oracle Retail and Siebel Customer Order Management

Looking into a solution to handle Franchisee ordering.
Customer currently has Oracle retail to handle supplier purchase orders and PeopleSoft to handle the accounts payable. They currently have a custom built tool to handle franchisees.
Would Siebel Customer Order Management interface well with Oracle Retail, in terms of merchandising and supplier purchase order consolidation? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Not being able to answer all of your questions, however if I do understand ok your question re. 'standalone', there should be no need for setting up EBS if you already have Oracle Retail RMS/RPM - there is a direct, standard, feed from RPM to ORPOS. You may like to check the Oracle Retail merchandising integration guide, it does have a chapter on RMS/RPM - ORPOS/BO/CO integration.
Best regards,

• Hi all **help needed with the SMO (Web Based Ordering Portal) integration

Hi SD experts
Could someone please explain me the concept of integrating SMO (Web Based Ordering Portal) integration.
Thankyou very much
Bj

...I earnestly urge the Oracle gurus to help me with my issueWell most of the 'gurus' on this forum are not Oracle employees and can't really help to resolve this. We can only offer suggestions. There's no link from this forum to an Oracle manager. The only direct contact to Oracle is through creating an SR -- and that's generally for issues specifically with certification rather than with OE training.
That said, I used to work for Oracle. If there is any time not to have high expectations for customer service it's in December. The vast majority of employees take a significant percentage of their annual vacation that month. If I were to hazard a guess at what caused at least some of your issues, I'd say you got at least somewhat caught up in that. They also do a lot of system maintenance in December. I didn't work for OE but rather for Support, but I'd suspect they are similar. Towards the end of December, the place resembled a ghost town.
I haven't used OE's online interface to order training. I just tried it a minute ago (up to the point where I was going to start committing to things I don't want, anyway) and I don't see how this much confusion can be generated. Since you indicated they used your credit card information for payment, I don't grasp why they would have any reason to talk to the company you are currently contracting for.
Regardless of how it happened, Brandye (the moderator and an Oracle employee) might be able to suggest something specific. My own suggestion would be to grit your teeth and order again (the interface appears to be up). Provide only contact numbers/addresses to you and put 'Independent Contractor' down as the company. They really want to sell you the training. I'm confident that you'll be able to... eventually.

• SAP Certification Exam for sales order management

Hello All,
I am an SAP SD Consultant with 5 yrs of experience. My experience spans across different areas in SD which includes integration experience as well.
Off late i decided to appear for a certification exam & found the same in SAP website. SAP is offering the following certification exam as it relates to SO Management
"SAP Certified Application Professional - Sales Order Management with SAP ERP 6.0"
Can somebody advice/sugges me on if i can prepare for this exam on my own based on my work experiece or is it better to go to a centre which offers a certification training. I would appreciate any suggestions/comments
Thanks,
Vinay

Hi Vekat,
Having knowledge is good but certification comes in different way. There will be questions from SAP materials and it might be just one line from the PDFs.
Its good to go thru the SAP materials applicable for this certification which can help you to prepare for it in a better way.
If you donot have these materials then you may go thru e-learnings/classroom trainings either from SAP Eduction or from its affiliated institutions.

• Creating orders via the Order Management API

Hi there,
we are wanting to use the Order Management API (within Oracle 11.5.4) as a means of integrating with our B2B website. I am thinking of creating a Java class that will talk to the Order Management API - pass it a list of products (amongst other variables) - create an order, and then retun that order's details to the clients browser - via the Java class. So my questions are specifically...
1) is this possible, and am i heading in the right direction?
2) where would i find more documentation on the Order Management API - i only have 1 doco so far and it isnt too clear
3) has anyone had any experience doing something similar, and if so - can you give me any examples, tips etc etc
Please reply to [email protected]
cheers,
matt lemsing

I've done it a couple of times. I hope you have some help, and I assume you'll have to use Customer (AR/CRM) APIs as well as the OM APIs. My suggestion is to make you java beans in small pieces, don't try to do it all in one class. As for displaying the order back to the screen, don't forget a view or SELECT statement can also be viewed as an API. Keep it simple, don't try to get tricky.
