Order type configuration

Hi,
I would like to get some information/help on order type configuration for a new controlling area.
Thanks!

Here's some config documentation below. To the left beside each config (execution)set up area there is a IMG activity documentation (with eye glasses). Select it and it will tell you about that config area in more detail.
Maintain Settlement Profile
In the settlement profile, you define a range of control parameters for settlement. You must define the settlement profile before you can enter a settlement rule for a sender.
If you want to settle the costs each time to just one cost center or just one G/L account, you need a settlement profile. As you cannot maintain the settlement parameters during settlement to a receiver, you must save the settlement profile either in the order type or in the model order or reference order.
Recommendation
The settlement profile includes, among other things, the retention period for the settlement documents. You should bear in mind the following when you determine the retention period.
The settlement documents take up additional storage capacity. When a posting period is finally locked against further postings in Financial Accounting and Controlling, you can clear the settlement documents. However, you should build in a safety margin, as you will need the settlement documents if you have to cancel any settlements or repeat the period end close.
Activities
1. Create a settlement profile.
2. Save the profile in the order type.
Additional Information
For more information on this subject, go to the R/3 Library and choose AC - Financials -> CO - Controlling -> Internal Orders - > CO Settlement.

  • Internal Order type - Configuration change

    Hi
I have created an Internal Order type in January and we have create internal orders under that order type in our production server and have used those as well.
I want to remove the revenue posting tick which has been allowed in this order type which was done at the time when the order type was created.
If I remove the revenue posting setting now, do i need to replace the internal orders which has been created under that order type with new ones after the configuration change? OR will the entries posted earlier (before the configuration change) work according to the old order type settings and will the order work according to the new settings after the change date?
    Thanks
    Trishan

    Hi,
Don't you know if there is any program that updates the old order master data, according to posterior changes in the order type?
    Thanks. Best regards,

  • Production Order Type Configuration

    Hello All
While doing customizing for production order types i.e. OPL5 transaction we have come across "Release Versions". Can you let me know the relevance of the same?
    Regards
    Hary

    Hi Hary,
A production order passes through different events, most common of them are
    Production order (Create, Change, Release),
Confirm operation(- Partial confirmation, - Final confirmation)
Confirm production order:(- Partial confirmation (for first confirmed operation),- Final confirmation (for last operation final confirmation))
Goods receipt posting for order:(- Partial delivery, - Final delivery)
    Goods issue
    etc,.
The release version is the version at the time of the release of events.
If production orders are changed quite often during your work, the target and actual values will align more and more so that the target/ actual deviation will no longer be correctly calculated. By using the release versions, you can counteract this problem.
The level of details are defined by header, item & operation.
    Hope it helps

  • Sales Order Type Configaration Correction : Impact on Copy controls and Oth

    Dear All,
I wanted to know the impact of correcting a sales order type configuration on the dependent configurations.
we have configured a new sales order documents in V0V8 with a certain billing type (by coping standard order), however after few days when tested in QA box, we realized that Billing type should be not F2 but something else.
I wanted to know, if I can simple change the billing type to zf2 in V0V8 or something else has to be done .. Please suggest.
I wanted to know if by changing the billing type all the table entries created earlier (copy controls) automatically get modifed .
    Please suggest.
    Anitha

    Hi,
Even for your newly created document type(Sales order),the billing type F2 will definitely work if you do some configurations.
    The configurations are:
    Goto the T.Code "VOV8".Select your order type.Details.
    Goto the Billing tab.
If your scenario is "Order-related" billing, maintain the "Order-rel. bill. type" as "F2".
    Save.
Goto the T.Code "VTFA" and maintain the copy control for your order and billing and also maintain the settings for your item category.
If your scenario is "Delivery-related" billing, maintain the "Delivery-rel. bill. type" as "F2".
    Save.
Goto the T.Code "VTFL" and maintain the copy control for your delivery and billing and also maintain the settings for your item category.
If you want to create a new billing document type, then it should be created by using the T.Code "VOFA" not by "VOV8".
Select the billing document type as "F2" and click on Copy as.Change the name to "ZF2".
    Save.
    Maintain the relevant configuration changes.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • DataSource 2LIS_17_I3HDR not loading all order types in setup tables

I am trying to setup data source 2LIS_17_I3HDR.  I have initialized the setup tables and I am only getting 609 records in RSA3.  The problem is that all the records are from only two order types.  I have run the setup table initialization wide open so i'm not sure why the setup table only contains a subset of our orders.
Obviously we have numerous other order types that I am expecting to be loaded into the setup tables (AFIH has around 180k entries).  Where can I configure which orders get loaded into the setup tables?
    Thanks,
    Chris

That is an interesting thread.  I have a few questions though:
-How can I determine which order types are maintenance orders?  When I look at transaction OIOA for Order Type Configuration I see that order category for numerous order types including the order types currently being loaded as having an order category of "30 Maintenance order" so I am unclear which field I need to be looking at for orders because in OIOA I see at least 8 other order types that look identical to the two order types being loaded.  When I look in IW39 I am seeing orders under order types are being loaded and under order types that aren't being loaded
-In the linked thread it appears that the person with the issue was trying to pull detail data without header data.  I believe I am doing the opposite with these orders.  I am pulling the header data first.  Currently when I run 2LIS_17_OPER (I think this is the order detail DS) in RS3 I get no data.  Am I misunderstanding how the PM Order data sources work?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi All,
Can any body explain me the use of BOX for selectind or de-selecting "Open item management" field for order type in "Configuration of order types"?
I need to understand the use of selecting it and not selecting it?

it will activate the commitment management for your order type.
    From SAP help:
" Commitments are contractual or MRP-relevant obligations that are not entered in accounting but that lead to actual costs as a    result of various business transactions,   for example for purchase orders.
Commitments Management is used to enter these obligations at an early stage and to analyze their cost- and finance-related results. "

Please help me out in below requirement.
Customer return Orders (Order Type : RE) are entered and Goods Reciept done through Outbound Delivery.
Now, how can I do the set up to rpint the GR slip (WE03)?
I can see that it aleardy works fine for Goods recipet against a PO. But how is it done for Sales Orders?
Also let me know can I use MB90 only to process the GR slip?
    Please guide me
    Regards,
    Shetty

    Hi,
For GR based on SO, you cant use output type 'WE03' as it is different program that you use for doing GR based on PO.
The output type that you should used is 'WABS'.
    Thanks.

  • Unable to edit certain fields in order type RE comparing with OR

    Dear friend,
When I am creating return order with order type 'RE', I find out there are certain fields that are not editable. However, this issue doesnt happen with standard order(order type 'OR'). please refer to the following snapshot:
where you can see fields such as 'intercom', 'payment term' is eidtiable in order type or, but not in RE. Anybody could tell me why? and what configuration control this screen layout? how to edit this? thanks!
    Best Regards
    T.P

    Hi Peng,
do you face this only for you ID/few users or for every user these 2 fields are not editable ? you have to check this by asking your colleagues/users .
If it is problem with few users then they have done some authorization check here only for few users.
if it is for all, then as mentioned by Venugopal, some enhancement is done for this to make non editable these fields.
What to you want, do you want to make it editable fields or do you just want to know why it has done ?
    Regards

is it possible to maintain raw fabric and Colored fabric with same mat.code?
I have configured the material as well all pricing BOM, Recipe its working properly.
How can I assign the material to Operation? I am getting GRAY field in New Assignment in change recipe mode ..
Is it possible to use Material type other than KMAT? I want to use Finish material type. If yes How?
Right now I can create Process order from the Sales order but I am facing error in confirmation that Sales Order stock does not exist than I have to transfered stock to Sales order and error get solved temporarily but  I want to avoid this manual transaction to remove this error. Any configuration is required please inform.

    thanks to all SAP gurus..
THANKS IN ADVANCE .... Definitely I will reward points even if my some questions get solved...
    Regards,
    Bhavik dangi.

    Hi,
You can use variant configuration for selling the colored fabric. Use the basic fabric as raw. and maintain variant configuarations to have many variants.
Please use strategy 25. When you run MRP the planned orders will be generated and will be assigned to the sales orders. You can see it on the account assignment tab.
In material master pleasse maintain Individual collective requirement indicator to 1-individual in the MRP-4 view.
Then the stocks will be reserved to the specific sales orders.
    Thanks and regards

  • Free Goods for QT order Types

Can I use automatic Free goods determination for QT order types.
however i am using it for OR right now and i have done the related configuration for QT as well but system is not detmining Free Goods for QT order types.
I have also maintained the below entry in "Determine Item Category for Free Goods Item"
Sa Type   ItCGr         Usg.     HLevelItCa  DfltC
    QT            NORM      FREE     AGN           AGNN

    Hi
Std SAP itself doesnt support Free Goods at quotation level
Standard SAP supports Free Goods at quotation level and hence the item categories AFNN and AGNN are provided in the standard SAP. But,  the Automatic determination of Free Goods is not possible for SD documents under category other than 'C'.
In your scenario...since the automatic determination is not possible, think about handling the functionality manually or through user exits.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Free goods and order types

    Hello,
    1) If company is providing free goods, then will it be associated for order type or with pricing condition.
for e.g. On purchase of 100 qty. if 10% foods are free, then how is this associated.
    2) Also if i want to provide free goods only for a particular customer group, lets say wholesale, then how will it be associated
with pricing conditions and order type.
    Regards

    Hi,
    There are two cases:-
1.Ur company is providing free goods as a sample.
2.If some customer buys some quantity of product u provide some free goods with it.
    1st Case:-
if u want goods to b send as a free sample then u can directly use TANN item category with doc type or .
    2nd Case :
Free goods is something that the customer is given after he buys certain quantity of the product/material.
Free goods is a strategy to increase sales volume by luring the customer that if he buys 10 products one will be absolutely free.
Free Goods:Goods that are given as additional goods as part of the ordered goods are called as free goods. Here the unit of measure of free goods should be the same as standard goods.
Example:If you are are ordering 10 maggi sauce bottle you will be paying for only 8 bottles 2 is given as freegoods.
price will not be reflected in pricing or billing.this is inclusive freegoods
    Exclusive freegoods.
wherein the freegoods are given as additional good to that of the ordered goods
Example:For 4 coffee vending machine 1 kg coffee powder isgive as free goods
Sample goods:these are the goods which are given as pert of the promotional activity to increase the sales.
here the customer is not paying money.
Free goods - In SAP there are two types Exclusive and Inclusive.
Exclusive - Buy 2 and get 1 free. This means you have to buy minimum 2 pieces then on that you will get 1 piece absolutely free.
Inclusive - Buy 2 get 1 free. In this case it means you are paying for only 1 item and the other item is absolutely free.
    Configuration:
IMG - Sales & Distribution - Basic Functions - Free Goods - condition technique for free goods -
    1. create the condition table(Take one field as customer group also if u want to provide free goods only for a particular customer group).
    2. maintain access sequence and assign the condition table to the access sequence.
    3. maintain condition type and assign the access sequence to the condition type.
    4. maintain the procedure for free goods and assign the condition type to the free goods procedure.
    5. Activate free goods determination. In this enter sales org., dis channel, division , docu pri pro, cust pri pro and the free goods procedure.
    6. now go to VBN1 - create free goods determination. Select your condition type, key combination and enter. Here you enter sales org, dis channel, customer no., Valid from and Valid to dates. Then you first select whether it is exclusive or inclusive free goods determination. By default it will be inclusive if you click on exclusive it will become exclusive and on top it will display inclusive. Here you enter minimum quantity for free goods and from what order quantity the number of free goods. You can control the delivery also in the second last column(free goods delivery control).
Save the record. Go to VA01 create the sales order , enter the item and the minimum quantity for free goods .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deepaks
