Organizer properties not working

I have Windows 8.1 installed and I am using the test version of Photoshop 12 and Premiere Elements 12.
Whenever I try to change something in the Properties of the Organizer I get to the message Organizer
is not working any longer and will be closed. Is this because I am using the test version ??

After making a search click the show all button - to start a new search.
Two stars and lower will give you all photos tagged with one and two stars
To find items which are unrated - click the menu Find à By Details (Metadata)
Set the criterion to zero.

I have Elements 13 since 09/2014 but I did not really work with it. Nevertheless, I cannot open the organizer, because there is always the failure- report
"Organizer does not work.......bla, bla". Searching for a solution does not bring anything.
Is this a well known problem? Do you have any solutions?

Hi,
Sadly, there isn't just one cause of this type of failure so you need to do some troubleshooting. It is usually caused by a problem with the catalog especially if it contains videos as well as stills.
Which operating system you are running on?
I would first try to repair and optimize your catalog.
Load the organizer while holding down the shift key - that should open the Catalog Manager.
Select you current catalog and click on the Repair button
When that has finished, click on the Optimize button
When that is done, click on the Cancel button to close the Catalog Manage

PSE 12 Organizer is not working.

I just purchased and installed PSE 12 on my MAC HD its a 3.2 GHz Intelcore i3..... The editor works but the organizer does not?! I have updated my mac and adobe reader. What else do I do? Editor is useless without the organizer because it wont save any of my work.

If you use the same profile folder with places.sqlite with both versions then you shouldn't do that. It is quite possible that the 4.0 beta versions update places.sqlite and that using that updated file with an older version has corrupted places.sqlite.<br />
You should always use separate profiles when testing other (beta) versions.

You can try a validation check of places.sqlite.
Copy and Paste this code in the Code field in the "Tools > Error Console" and click the "Evaluate" button to cleanup and compress the places.sqlite database file.

Elements 10 Organizer does not work anymore

I received the message "Elements Organizer has stopped working" , after I opened for pictures created a new "Tag". Then PSE 10 plunged. This is done regularly now, when I start the Organizer of PSE 10. The editor works fine. My catalog contains around 8,000 images and I would be very, very happy to get the images back.
I use Windows 7, 2x3600MHz CPU, 8 GB RAM.
The following experiments I have already taken to solve the problem:
1. Proposal from “99jon” to delete the file psa.prf. Was no solution. Also, no new psa.prf was created.
2. Attempt to restore the old catalog from a backup.
Experiment with the Catalog Manager, to restore the Catalog with the "Custom Path" from a Katalog-Backup at my hard disk. PSE crashed again.
3. With Shift, Ctrl and Alt the PSE 10 rebooted and selected another, small catalog in the Catalog Manager. Now PSE 10 works perfectly. From the hard disk, the file Backup.tly selected from an older backup of all Pictures. All images of the catalog will be loaded properly. When creating the thumbnails PSE 10 crashes again, after already a large number of these images were created.
4. I have PSE 11 installed, but I get the same crash as in No. 2 and No. 3.
I would appreciate a help to solve the problem.

Please try creating new tag in a new catalog.. Is Organizer still crashing?
You also mentioned crash on restoring an old catalog backup? Is this the same catalog with which you are seeing crash on tag creation?

Federation Service with External Organization is not working

Hi,
Exchange 2010 is running in present environment and recently I have introduced Exchange 2013. There is federation Enabled at Exchange 2010 end with External Exchange organization. When we migrated users from E2k10 to E2k13 Free /Busy sync has stopped working.
Exchange 2k10 & E2k13 in same Exchange organization and no errors found in configuration part and all seems Success.
Here what I am suspecting, something that I need to do at F5 load balancer end, not sure what :( .. I need urgent help from Experts in this forum to help me in case I have missed something to make Federation working.

Federation in coexistence mode runs through the Exchange 2013.
Coexistence with Exchange 2010
In organizations that contain both Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 servers, users who have a mailbox on an Exchange 2010 Mailbox server can use organization relationships to share free/busy information with recipients in external Exchange 2013 federated
domain organizations. The Exchange 2010 Client Access and Mailbox servers must be running SP2 or higher, and you must have at least one Exchange 2013 Client Access server in the Exchange 2010 organization.
Troubleshooting plan
1) Check run correctly Exchange CAS 2010/2013
2) Enabled Outlook logging and checked the logs. For Client from Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 mailbox.
3) Ran Test-OrganizationRelationship on Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013.
4) Checked the Federation settings on Exchange 2013.
5) On Exchange 2013 and 2010 server: Get-FederationTrust | Set-FederationTrust -RefreshMetadata

"Click To Change All Properties" Not Working In Dreamweaver CC For Padding/Margins

Every time I try to use the "Click To Change All Properties" option in Dreamweaver CC (the chain link icon in the middle of the Magin/Padding box), it never seems to work. Nor does it use the CSS shorthand, it lists the top, bottom, left and right margins/padding separately no matter if I have the chain link icon connected or broken. If I have it set to link all four sides, then enter a value into the top, nothing happens to the other sides. It's not until I enter a value in to the bottom that it auto fills in the other two sides. Anyone else having this issue?

Thank you for your help. I think I figured out what I might have been doing wrong when setting the margins. I would first clickt the chain icon to join everything, then enter in a value in the Top box, but I wouldn't see the other boxes update with that same value, so I would immediately click the Bottom value box. Instead, if I just click on the inner white box, just outside of the perimeter of the chain icon, it updates all of the remaining values.
The shorthand setting worked as well for the Padding/Margins. Thank you!

Boot.properties not working in SOA 11g environment (Enterprise Linux)

I need to get this working because I want an unattended start-up of the Managed (SOA) server.
Here's the problem...
The Administration server script ($MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/startWebLogic.sh) runs perfectly. I am not prompted for a username or password.
The installation gives me two (different) scripts of the same name - startManagedWebLogic.sh
One of these scripts is in $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.2/common/bin. I've ignored this one. The 2nd one (the one I'm using) is in $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin
The proper (single) location of the boot.properties file is unclear to me. I have placed two copies of the identical file (two files - not a link) in $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains and $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain
Each file looks like this:-

If I run startManagedWebLogic.sh from a terminal, I am prompted for username and password.
I enter the username (weblogic) and password (welcome1) and the SOA server starts.
In the unattended mode, the invocation is (effectively) this:-
nohup startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1 >mwl.log 2>&1 &
In this case an exception is thrown (weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException)
It seems quite clear to me that the boot.properties file is being ignored either because there is some configuration value that indicates that it should not be used or, more likely, it's in the wrong place!

During start up of the managed server, it looks out for the boot.properties within the server root directory by default. Hence you should put your boot.properties file in the Managed Server root directory.
That may be in your case : $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/ManagedServerName/ Directory.
Or else you can specify the location of the boot.properties files using the following parameter:
-Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=filename
where filename is the fully qualified pathname of a valid boot identity file.
To specify this argument in the startManagedWebLogic.sh script, add -Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile as a value of the JAVA_OPTIONS variable. For example:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=C:\BEA\user_domains\mydomain\boot.properties

Download/Upload and Properties not working with Netstorage

I had applied some authorized updates to a SLES 11, SP2, (OES 11.1, PATCHLEVEL=1) running eDirectory 8.8 SP7, server and rebooted a week ago.
I didn't notice anything wrong initially and thus was living in stupid comfort! :O
I was able to get to the Novell "Welcome" web page, and I can get into iMonitor and Remote Manager, but when I try iManager, I get "Error 503 Service Unavailable".
After looking and trying various postings in the Novell forum unsuccessfully, I loaded iManager on a Linux Desktop and I am working with that, but I can't help think that is somehow related to my netstorage problem.
I am able to successfully login to netstorage and I can navigate around to folders OK.
Local users have a mapped drive and they are working OK with the nss volume.
However, then I log in as admin and select a folder and choose Properties, I get "Error 500 Server Error" and if I try it again after that I get "Error 503 Service Unavailable"
And, when anyone tries to use the other options, such as Upload or Download, nothing happens.
I verified that Apache2 is running and that tomcat6 is running.
Below is the catalina.out file for chucks-n-giggles.

I'm not 100% sure if that's the culprit or not. I didn't think netstorage used an odd port like that.
I vaguely remember encountering this before a long time ago.
Out of curiosity, is the actual server name (like: oes11sp1.abc.com) in your /etc/hosts
AND
is that the same DNS name you are using to access the netstorage server?
In our case, we use a different DNS name vs. what the server name really is and we have to adjust the /etc/hosts correctly for some of the internal components to work.
Also, when you installed OES11, did you accidentally leave the checkbox checked to add the local host definition to the /etc/hosts?

Firefox s3 organizer does not work with version 4

i recently upgraded to Firefox 4.0 I and wish that i hadn't....my S3 organizer for Amazon no longer works....I tried to reinstall anew and all it does it go around in circles. It will download then I restart Firefox and then it just reopens the download page......When I check in the tool options, the plug-in is not there....
I really need S3 Organizer to work as i am getting ready to launch a campaign soon....

i figured it out!
1) go to control panel
2) click on mouse
3) click on the UltraNav tab at the top
4) for the TrackPoint, i have the Enable TrackPoint box checked and the "Use as pointing device with advanced features
5) click on Settings
6) click on settings again towards the bottom right
7) for "Scrolling Type" click on Smooth.
that should work!

Mandatory UI properties not working

Hello All,
I had tried to create an Determination in my node for dynamic propertychange.
   With no check box is chosen in the Request, Read & write Node.
   Node Category Assignment Before retrieve.
   With Node Property change trigger as Update.
By doing this , While updating the node , the determination is fired and execution is coming to the determination but My mandatory UI properties is not set with set_attribute_manadatory. But set_attribute_read_only is working fine.
Can you tell me what is the reason?
Currently our system is with this configuration- WEBUI 731 package 5.

Hello Partha,
"mandatory" can have two different semantics (either mandatory at save or mandatory for each single modification). Thus there is no inbuilt BOPF logic to validate this property - but that's the reason for the library validation mentioned above which can be either configured for save or for each modification - depending on your use case. By the way: That validation evaluates the mandatory properties set by your determination.
In case of readonly there is only one single semantic (to display the attribute readonly). That's why this logic is automatically validated.

OS X deployment.config and deployment.properties not working?

I have a deployment.config file at: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/lib/deploy/deployment.config with the following contents:

deployment.system.config=file\:/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/lib/deployment.properties
The deployment.properties file is located at: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/lib/deployment.properties with the following contents:

deployment.expiration.check.enabled.locked
deployment.expiration.check.enabled=false
None of this is working. Do I have the wrong directories or syntax somewhere?
The documentation at : System- and User-Level Properties says that the deployment.config file will override user settings when placed at ${deployment.java.home}/lib/deploy/deployment.config.
It seems like the deployment.config file is being ignored completely. I am working with Java 7u40 and higher. Nothing seems to do it.

Yeah, it only happened to me in the last couple days, so I'm not sure what's happening (latest OS and latest version of Logitech Control Center (but a somewhat old MX Revolution)). Logitech's software is notoriously flakey on Macs, so I'll just chalk it up to that

Tween : copy / paste properties not working on a particular tween

Hello,
I'm making very simple tweens with the "new" (not classic) method.
I want the object to move only after a while so I'm trying to duplicate start position to a later keyframe but, for some reason, it just doesn't work on my project whereas it work on a test file.
I copy and paste properties of the first frame to the other keyframe but it's not applied at all.
1 = start position
2 = keyframe with pasted properties but position is still the same (between 1 and 3)
3 = end position
Any reason why this wouldn't work ? Thanks.

3 is a keyframe. it doesn't matter what you change in keyframe 2. keyframe 3 is unchanged and is expected to remain unchanged unless you change it.
start over and drag the start (keyframe 1) to frame 12 where you want the tween to start. if you want the tween to end on frame 24, remove some frames from that tween after moving its start (and end).

UIButton Properties not working...

I am trying to change a button's properties to hide it once it has been pressed. Not having any luck. Here is what I have:

In IB have my_button attached to a start_loop method.

Overriding a UIResponder method in a view controller only works if the view doesn't override the same method. Since UIControl overrides the touch methods, I wouldn't expect touchesBegan in the controller to ever get called (put a NSLog in that method to find out). Why not just connect the touch down event in my_button to a controller action in IB (assuming you really don't want the action to wait for touch up inside)? I would also remove the (field1==UP) condition when testing to rule out problems in that logic. My first implementation of an action method is generally just NSLog. I don't add the rest of the code until I'm confident the method is getting called when expected.
Also, if you want start_loop to be called after the button is hidden, you'll need to call start_loop from the method that hides the button. Once the button is hidden, it won't respond to further touch events. All in all, you might consider just connecting touch up inside to an action method which sets hidden and calls your start_loop method. This might be a better interface than what you're trying to do now, since users don't expect buttons to respond on touch down.

Backup bookmarks button in bookmark organizer is not working

I have a really long list of bookmarks and probably some doubles too. Whenever I try to go into the bookmark organizer, import and backup and then click on Backup, nothing happens.
But Exporting to HTML works and is only my current option to backup.
PS. I know it's filed under 3.6 or earlier and this browser is the beta version. It's because this problem is in both.
