Orion test returned :storax_aiowait: IO returned an error 27061
I'm using orion version 11.1.0.7.0 on Linux Centos 5.2 distribution with 2.6.24.1 kernel. Get same error when writing to multiple raw or mounted devices. Thought the problem was due to different size luns but same error occurs using multiple luns of identical size but problem also occurs when testing a single device. Insights / solutions are appreciated.

No result returned or XML returned contains error in test query
Hello,
I have a problem with Visual Composer 7.0. When I try to execute a test query it shows the following error:
'No result returned or XML returned in the result contains error'. What could it be?
Thanks,
BelenEither your query doesn't return results or you don't have the MSXML Parser installed on your client.

Multi-row sub query returns ORA-00904 :invalid identifier error
I am creating a report from two tables that I am not joining. I want a single line for every row in table1 that meets a date range. Table2 can contain none or many rows for each recored in table1. I want to get up to two fields from table2.
I was using a case statement to check if there was data and then an in-line query or subquery. Once again, the idea is to have a single line on the report for each table1 record.
I get this error with the code below. It seems the nested multi-row subquery can not see the a.cr_mas_cr_no identifier.
ORA-00904: "a"."cr_mas_cr_no": invalid identifier
Any help is greatly appreciated,

slavanawayIceman,
Thanks for the reply I will try your suggestion.
I will try and explain why I think two subqueries (an in-line query with a subquery?) are required. I will use the creation of the column RTP #1 as the example as the RTP #2 column is only different in the rownum selected.
Looking only at the lines that fail, here is my analysis. (If I rem out the two case lines the query runs, I just don't get two columns of data I need.) I will only examine the first case as the second is changed to extract the second approval via the rownum = 2 criteria. The first statement checks there is at least one RTP approval stored for the request and then gets the user who approved the request if the test is true.
case when
(select count(appr_user) from crrm_cr_approvals where appr_cr_no =a.cr_mas_cr_no and appr_type = 'RTP') > 0
then
The above part works fine and the correct count of approvals is returned.
(select appr_user from (select * from crrm_cr_approvals where appr_cr_no=a.cr_mas_cr_no and appr_type = 'RTP') where rownum = 1)
end
"RTP #1",
I moved the parenthesis to the correct location. There can be multiple approvals for a given parent record. Some parent records need one, some need two approvals. If I replace
(select appr_user from (select * from crrm_cr_approvals where appr_cr_no =a.cr_mas_cr_no and appr_type = 'RTP') where rownum = 1)
with
(select appr_user from approvals where appr_cr_no =a.cr_mas_cr_no and appr_type = 'RTP' and rownum = 1)
The correct result is returned because it returns exactly one row as rownum=1 limits the query. When rownum = 2 then the query returns null as the rownum never gets to two as the rownum column is built via the set created by the second subquery.
The subquery builds a set of approvals for a specific "cr_no" and appr_type of "RTP". the outer query then looks at the rownum of the second query
Here is where I got the rownum information from;
http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/06-sep/o56asktom.html
So here is what I think is happening;
1. Main query From and Where are processed. This should provide the "set" for the query
2.The from subqueries for RTP #1 and RTP #2 should be able to access the a.cr_mas_cr_no field and build a set from the approvals table.
3.The RTP #1/2 subquery (inline maybe a better description?) would then get the correct row from the from subquery.
The error "invalid identifier" refers to the a.cr_mas_cr_no field. I assume it means it can not resolve the table alias inside the subquery.
So maybe your grouping would help, I will try.

How to test a procedure which returns a recordset from pl/sql
hello,
Is it possible to test a procedure which returns a recordset from pl/sql?
Everything I try results in errors like PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type, when I try to open the result cursor
or PLS-00221: tc is not a procedure or is undefined.
I created the following procedure:
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE test AS
TYPE cursorType is REF CURSOR;
PROCEDURE test_cursor( tc IN OUT cursorType,
v_err OUT varchar2,
v_msg OUT varchar2);
END;
CREATE OR REPLACE
PACKAGE BODY test AS
PROCEDURE test_cursor
(tc IN OUT cursorType,
v_err OUT varchar2,
v_msg OUT varchar2)
AS
BEGIN
open tc for
SELECT '1' "number" FROM dual
union
select '2' "number" from dual;
v_msg := 'no errors';
v_err := 0;
EXCEPTION
WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND
THEN
v_msg := 'no data found';
v_err := SQLCODE;
WHEN OTHERS
THEN
v_msg := SQLERRM;
v_err := SQLCODE;
END;
END;
I try to get the output from pl/sql with something like this:
DECLARE
TC PROVGRON.TEST.cursorType;
V_ERR VARCHAR2(200);
V_MSG VARCHAR2(200);
BEGIN
V_ERR := NULL;
V_MSG := NULL;
PROVGRON.TEST.TEST_CURSOR ( TC, V_ERR, V_MSG );
DBMS_OUTPUT.Put_Line('V_ERR = ' || V_ERR);
DBMS_OUTPUT.Put_Line('V_MSG = ' || V_MSG);
-- in tc I was hoping to hava a cursor??
FOR i IN tc
LOOP
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE (i.number);
END LOOP;
END;
Without the for loop (or open tc) the pl/sql will output:
V_ERR = 0
V_MSG = no errors
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
With anything I try with the cursor I get errors?
What am I doing wrong?http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14357/ch5.htm#sthref1122

Reg:"No result returned or xml returned in the result contains an Error
Dear All,
After adding a query to VC storyboard and than trying to use the option define/test query for this query element, I am facing the below error on pressing the execute button.
"No result returned or xml returned in the result contains an error"
Query is working fine and giving the desired output in BW system.
How can i resolve my problem?

Edited by: hema latha on Nov 19, 2009 3:21 PMHi Hemalatha,
this can have several reasons, usually there are variables in the query that aren't filled correctly in the "specify filter" box.
One thing you could do is to personalize all variables in the query and then try to fill one after another in the "specify filter" box.
If you don't get values after you have filled a specific one of them, then this one is passed incorrectly.
Best wishes

Hello Guru's,
we are creating sales order in SAP from a quote created in .NET, through Web Service created in SAP, and consumed in .NET.
When ever a order is created in SAP for a given quote, SAP returns the sales order number to .NET.
Orders are getting created as expected, but once in a while we are getting the following error from webservice :
Web service processing error; more details in the web service error log on provider side (UTC timestamp 20140609173429; Transaction ID 4DFCEFE33301F1EBB5CE00155D0B4530)
But the problem is order is getting created in SAP for the perticular quote for which we are getting the above error and this order number is not getting returned to .NET.
Upon analysis in TCODE SRT_UTIL for the above transaction ID, has the following details , which are hardly help full to resolve the error.
----TYPE CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
----ERROR_TEXT The database returned a value containing an error
----CX_SY_NO_HANDLER
-----CLASSNAME CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
This Exception raised by Web Service application
Could you please help in resolving this issue or alteast provide an approach for the same.
Thank you,
Suresh.Thank you Bhaskar,
How can we clarify whether the error is from SAP or Web part.
I have checked ST22, but there is not entry for the perticular exception transaction ID
My exception time stamp is

Error while activating DTP : database returned a value containing an error
Hi ,
I am getting an error as "The database returned a value containing an error"
while activating the DTP. Can neone suggest any solution for this error .
The system is also not allowing to delete the DTP and giving the same error as above one .Are you receiving a similar error as below from the log:
Creation of PSA /BIC/B0001995 failed
Error during creation of DDIC sources of Data Transfer Process DTP_4DGGKC0NCCP394FEOOSQC68Y3
If yes then look into SAP Note 1145673 - Extracting from InfoProviders with navigation attributes. Application of this note should resolve the issue. -
Will someone please help me set-up Acrobat to send a PDF via webmail? Acrobat returns a message "Server Connection Error .... Port 143 unavailable"
Are you using a Microsoft or Apache web server? If so, you can submit to a server-side script, which will bypass web mail and client-side email software such as OUTLOOK.

Testing a service that returns an AsyncToken
I have a working test that tests a service that returns an AsyncToken. I am using AsyncResponder instead of any of the Aysnc Flexunit stuff. Is this OK?
One thing I don't get is that the passthroughData get passed to the onResult method, even though AsyncResponder doesn't pass on anything other than the event.
[Test(async)]
public function testAttemptLogin():void
var token: AsyncToken = objectToTest.attemptLogin('k');
token.addResponder(new AsyncResponder(onResult, faultHandler));
private function onResult(event:ResultEvent,passthroughData:Object):void {
//assertionsNo. This will not work.
FlexUnit has a Async.asyncResponder
method that will do what you want

Test a procedure which returns a sys_refcursor
Hi all,
Oracle 9i
Got a simple stand alone procedure which has an input param and an output param, the second of which
is a ref cursor.
Can anyone tell me how I can go about testing this from within Pl/SQL (Command line)?
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE "LOGMNR"."LM"
(p_filename in varchar2, p_recordset OUT SYS_REFCURSOR)
as
begin
begin
dbms_output.put_line('Hello World');
OPEN p_recordset FOR
SELECT *
FROM test_table;
end;
end LM;
Also, and I know this is a huge long-shot. I'm going to be calling this procedure from VB6 (yes I know!), via ADODB, but I'm not
sure what type to add for the second parameter. Anyone called an Oracle procedure with ADODB which returns a refcursor/result set?
cmd.Parameters.Append cmd.CreateParameter("p_filename", adVarChar, adParamInput, 255, "c:\test.dat")
cmd.Parameters.Append cmd.CreateParameter("p_recordset", *???*, adParamOutput, 6000, "")
Regards
DaveWhy don't you just use sqlplus as already suggested

The error is caused for using queryForObject (for a single result) instead of queryForList (when expecting multiple results).
Example of correct solution

Canon Pixma MP610 fails to print and returns a " Stopped - 'Filter' failed" error message.
Hi, I have updated to latest OS and now my Canon Pixma MP610 fails to print and returns a " Stopped - 'Filter' failed" error message.
I am running OS X 10.9.3 (13D65) on a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac with 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
I've done a complete system re-install and also performed a targetted install of just the Canon Drivers - but all to no avail.
The printer is OK with regard ink-levels and is/was working fine. It will print out 'photocopies' independantly of the iMac. Additionally, from within the Print Queue I can view the ink-levels so there are comms between the iMac and the Canon - it's just that 'Print' seems to be off topic.

Unable to activate DTP - The database returned a value containing an error
Hi Experts,
I want to upload a flat file from local PC to Infocube. I have created everything as expected.
I have created the data source and it is displaying file contents when I do Preview.
But when I try to Activate DTP it gives me following error: -
The database returned a value containing an error
Message no. RS_EXCEPTION000
Can somebody tell me if this is a basis error ? If yes then what corrective action have to be taken to resolve this.
Thanks a lot.

ChandanHi PT,
I did not have any routine in the transformation but on double clicking time characteristics (0CALMONTH and 0CALWEEK ) I saw that check box "Perform" was checked so I unchecked that and reactivated the Transformation once again.
I deleted the DTP and recreated but the problem still persists.
Any more inputs on this ??
