OS10.2 Remember app

Just upgraded my Z10 to official 10.2. The Remember app does not sort entries by due date. Switching from "sort entries by title" to "sort entries by due date" simply removes the A,B,C etc headings, everything remains in the same order! Sorting by date amended or date added is fine. Does anyone else have the same prob or is it me/my phone?

To me it works perfectly with the latest official OS released.
Maybe you're doing something wrong, because these adding more this folder should influence.

Z10 Remember app won't load most of the time on 10.1.0.2006

I just upgraded to 10.1 and the Remember app mostly doesn't work. I opened the app at 6:13 and it greeted me with the spinning circle "wait" graphic. It's now 6:22 and it's still doing that. One of the reasons I stuck with Blackberry is the epic fail of Evernote and the times I've written something important in Evernote only to get a "memo updated externally" message from evernote that wipes extremely important text, measurements, etc.... However, Remember is sorely lacking too, and not as good as the separated tasks and memos in the previous instances, and it needs to load pronto.
Is there any other alternative since Remember doesn't work any more?
I just did kill Remember after 8 minutes of the stuck wait indicator and now it came up after reloading it. But it seems that off a fresh reboot, Remember can't come up on it's own successfully, ever. I don't want to bang on Blackberry and ask if they test or we're all the guineapigs, but come on, as a user I shouldn't be able to list 40 bugs in 5 minutes, and more if you push it and give me more time. The old OS was never like that since I started using BB in 2006.

On the previous day I was trying to fix my soundcard somehow, inside the laptop. It looks that some cable makes no good connection after that. I think it was the display cable.
Now the laptop works. I can get more successfull turn-ons now.

Blackberry Remember App

I like the concept but not very useful as it stands right now. Folders are automatically generated in the Remember App for all calendars listed in the Calandar App, but anything you send to the Remember App goes to the Unfiled folder and you are not able to move them to a folder created by the Calendar App. You can only move them to folders created inside the Remiember App itself.
What good are these folders that are created automatically by your Calendar App if you can not file reminders in them OR DELETE THEM???

And another thing is I created coloured folders on my Z10 and when synced to Dev Alpha C (with Q10 OS 10.1) all were green so sad

Remembering app positions for single/dual monitor setups?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum--I'm not sure if this is Mac OS or application specific.
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.6. When I plug in the external monitor to my MacBook Pro, I setup Firefox and Entourage on my notebook monitor and Photoshop on the external. I also move the Apple menu bar to the external (since PS is my main app I like having the menu bar close by). Photoshop doesn't present a problem because I'm able to switch the layout for different workspaces (laptop alone or laptop and external), but I find that Firefox and Entourage don't remember their positions.
For example, my current setup is dual monitors as mentioned above. When I get home and power up the notebook, I'll launch all the same apps. Firefox is just barely within view hanging off the left side of the screen so I'll grab the window and drag it over so I can access the green button (not sure what this is called). Entourage displays just fine. When I get back to work the next day and plug in the external, Firefox displays on the external with the window sized to fit the notebook monitor) and I'll just drag it over. Entourage loads into the external as maximized and I'll drag it over and click the green button.
Is it possible for the apps to remember their positions depending on whether it's just the notebook or if I've connected an external monitor? Thanks in advance!

Exporting content from Remember App

Has anyone been able to figure this out?
I have been using it for almost a year, and I want to export the content from the note entries.
I tried to install the ActiveSync software on my Windows 8.1 machine and it says that there is a compatiability issue.
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

What I had to do was:
- Install the evernote app (desktop and BB version)
- Create a new account
- Login
- Create a new file in the Evernote Remember folder
- Copy and paste the contents from the old entry into the Evernote entry
- Sync
I had to do this for every Remember entry that I wanted to keep, which was a pain, because this app was what I was using while taking notes during conferences and classes. In fact, the information was critical, and I am agitated that there isn't a easier way to export/backup your Remember entries.

ITunes Store no longer remembering apps/music already downloaded

Hi,
i've got the latest iTunes, and it occurs to me a phenomenon that itunes store previously remembers and indicate the status of apps/music already purchased.
to make myself clearer, for example i have already downloaded Whatsapp a long time ago, but now if i go to the App Store, it used to display as "purchased" or "downloaded" just beside the app icon.
Now it no longer does, applied to hundreds of apps and hundreds of songs.
Is it a bug ?

Make sure that you selected the correct iTMS country when trying to logging into your account.

Not remembering app window location

I recently got a new dell computer, running Vista, with an nVidia 8600 card which has two monitors attached. Lr no longer remembers its location on the second monitor (which it did using WinXP). When I open Lr it always reverts to the primary monitor.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

The problem is not LR at all. If LR remembers Module and photo he was on last, he has done his job. Dual Monitor support is in the video card. Check your video card Desktop Manager software for a setting to remember application location.

Can we set due time at the remember entry? because i will get the notification at 9.00am at due date. Please help.

I found out many useful function from previously bb7 are missing. Really dissappointed. I need reminder for my daily tasks and now all gone.

Good Day!
I have configured Blackberry Balance but it seems that it is not working as it should be.
I input notes in Remember under Work Area but it can be open in Personal Area even if Balance is lock.
Is this normal?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
This is by design and normal. If you access the work space, you are unlocking the workspace until the security timeout kicks in. So when you go back to your personal space you will have access to work and personal. When the security timeout kicks in, you will see the memos are locked for only the workplace.

There's certainly more than what's on this list coming to BlackBerry 10.3 as we know from some leaked info, however that stuff remains unofficial. Reminder App on 10.3.1 Not Recognising Change Event

OS Version: 10.3.1.2243
Steps to reproduce
Flag a message in the hub
Open remember app
Find and open the message in the "Flagged Messages" folder
Set the "Due Date"
Set "Reminder"
Expected Result
Setting the "Due Date" should show the date when completed
Setting the "Reminder" should show the date and time when completed
Actual Result
Setting the "Due Date" shows it as disabled (need to click dropdown to show settings)
Setting the "Reminder" shows it as disabled (need to click dropdown to show settings)

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:

Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)

I've changed my Apple ID on my Mac but the old Apple ID shows up when I am trying to download apps. How can I get the new Apple ID on my new Iphone and remove the old ID?

I changed my Apple ID on my MacBook. My new Iphone5 seems to have my old Apple ID on it. Therefore I can't download apps. How do I 1) remove the old Apple ID on my Iphone and 2) install the new ID on the phone.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311 Just remember apps that were downloaded with the old Apple ID will be locked to that ID. It will ask for the old ID password when trying to update.

After Importing Tasks and Memos | Let's Move them from Remember to Calendar? More Extra Steps

After grabbing all your Tasks and Memos from BB OS 7.1, all the entries go unfiled into the Remember App. This is nice, but not nice. Anyone writing code to export these to the Calendar App or within Remember to 'move' them to the Calendar App? Does this make any sense to be left to redo these tasks and memos that invariably and potentially become Calendar worthy in terms of absolute reminders in advance of the due date?
It would seem logical, that say, for example, that if your old memos become potential Tasks, both the tasks and memos in Remember are somewhat treated the same. So now to export them possibly into the Calendar app? What am I missing here?
What would be the work around here temporarily until code is written to take all of your imported tasks and memos from, say, OS 7.1, now inside the Remember App, and send them OPTIONALLY to the Calendar? Nothing I can see at the moment...
Sometimes Memos turn into Tasks, which then could lead to Due Dates/Appointments/Do-To's in the Calendar App IF so chosen. But there isn't a strong blood relationship between Remember and Calendar. If there is, someone advise.
Relationship: Remember<>Calendar (In other words, strengthening the gap between Remember and Calendar.
When you've a SLEW of old Tasks and Memos coming from the previous OS's...wow...
In my Old Bold 9930 I had over a thousand valid memos, and over 2,300 regular tasks, segmented. Now joyously and unfortunately in the Remember App, WHAT A "TASK" TO FILE THEM WITHOUT ANY EXPORT to the Calendar or for the new Calendar to receive them with open arms and bifurcate them accordingly. (Splitting the main into two parts yet having the bond between the apps as close as possible)...
Sad that the old Tasks in BB OS 7.1 now imported into the Remember App has to be copied and pasted into the Calendar App for the Reminder and Re-occurrences, etc. Am I missing something? What a daunting task for power copy/paste people on a full qwerty to a touch keyboard.
Fervently experimenting with QNX Developers on this one. Need a cognitive, logical thought structure here to make this alleged "smooth" transition from one baton to the next baton (OS 7.1 to BB 10 in this area). Dropping the baton won't win the race against the competition here...

Well, what I've done is just the opposite as far as Calendar to Remember as the Calendar has the "Share" function base. With an extra step or two and of a 'cleaning house' from the import from the old OS7.1, I've brought all my tasks and memos into the calendar and brought them back into their respective folder(s) inside of Remember.
You see, because the Remember app is so vast or initially treated as vast, if one is fast enought to power copy/paste while cleaning house, take all your memos, tasks, etc into the Calendar and sync Remember with the Calendar manually via the due date/time function in Calendar, then you've a precusor reminder due date in Remember, which then leads to your day's events in Calendar.
For me I've not doubled up on the amount of tasks and memos, but provided myself as a power BB user the ability to work around and strengthen the relationship between the two apps. If the due date is accurate on the Remember app (if chosen), you do get reminded that particular day, and on that particular day you can then revew the day's notes/memos from within the Calendar app, clean the task/memo house as you move along, and sit back until the code is written just for the reversal of what protocol I've taken here. Either way, you avoid third party apps, your passion for BlackBerry remains, and your productivity is elevated with BlackBerry 10.

Sync a BlackBerry Remember Folder AFTER it's been created

I can imagine in the urgency of planning a BB "LACKberry" 10 native app IN THE EARLY DAYS (in truth, not too long ago) with designated people planning the roadmap of an app native to the upcoming BB 10, yet the with pressure from the higher-ups to CRANK SOMETHING OUT QUICKLY:
SCENARIO HYPOTHETICAL:
AMAZING THAT PEOPLE, SITTING IN LITTLE OFFICES CONFIGURING A NATIVE BB 10 APP WITHOUT THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. That is to say, that I can envision a bunch of people coming in with their coffee early in the morning way back when the pressure was on to "get something out there quickly to integrate in the new BB10" and no one thinking that if, in the creation of this new BB Remember App, that if you're going to make it native and a power app in relation to other parts of the BB 10 OS body SO CONSUMERS WOULD NOT LOOK ELSEWHERE (say in BB App World) for a memo/task/productivity app), that ANY AND ALL OPTIONS would be insisted upon for the convenience and high power user.
BUT, SUCH WAS NOT THE CASE HERE, as I have delved DEEP AS POSSIBLE into the all options that BB Remember does and "what it could do", yet BEREFT how limited this app really is in every sense of the word. Does anyone get tired of recommending apps outside of native BB apps when BlackBerry should be all inclusive so that the natural tendency is to not look elsewhere? To those who have BlackBerry in their blood, who wish not to look in app world all the time and want to be an all-BlackBerry-only con/pro-sumer, it is just sad...
"The Dilemma":
I'm finding it impossible to take an existing BlackBerry Remember Folder and edit it to "Sync". By default in 10.1 (Since AT&T is always last at giving an official update), I've 20 folders. When I click on edit, to edit for example, the name of the folder and color (Can't believe how limited these color choices are), if you pull down further my "Sync To" is grayed out.
Is there any way to change this? What this means that ONLY at the start of creating a new folder (Infancy stage of creation of a Remember Folder and color) can you use the pull down as to whether or not the folder is going to sync, in this case, my only available option is Evernote when there should be a SLEW OF SYNC OPTIONS.
Critical thought: But any existing ones I cannot edit to sync with anything "after" the fact. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but there's not a whole lot of use here as in BBOS was with my 4,780 memos and tasks that were perfectly synced together. In the twenty folders now with over 3,600 current entries, I am not going to create a "new" folder and jam them all into one and not have them segregated into folder sections just for the sake of syncing when they should sync 'at will' from and at any time and to any cloud service I choose or locally on the BB 10 device as well, e.g., "the media card"...
Just crazy. No thought-arresting sense, mitigating the love and passion that each native app should be planned for inside of the blood and veins of a BB device, so that people NEVER,....NEVER, look elsewhere...

I thought I was the only user having probs with the BB Remember app., it rarely features in the forums and as yet I've had no helpful replies. My prob is that since upgrading to 10.2.0.424 the facility to order by due date does nothing, the tasks simply remain in alphabetical order. The help video shows a button to enable a due date, I don't have this but I am able to add a due date - just wont show tasks in due date order, although it will order by last am ended date or created date! Any help/ suggestions appreciated.
