OSA-Template Transport Problem

Hi All,
We are trying to transport the Appraisal Template by saving in a Request along with Category Group and Category from Development to Quality. Category Group and Category has been transported but Template is missing.
Please guide us, do we need to do any other settings?

Hi Prashanth,
If i understand you correctly, both your Dev client and Q client are in separate servers and you have to transport your appraisal templates from Dev system to Q system.
I had same issue when i did my first OSA based appraisal implementation. This is because, the appraisal template is hierarchially below the category and category group. And the category group doesnt have an Object type(thats what i remember).
Solution - I manually created the category group (i think i created the category also - try this) and then transported the templates. This worked well form me.
I am sure that customer may not encourage this. But then doing this is Q system will not prompt for any transport recording even if the client settings say "Record automatically for changes".
I have tried this in PRD system also.

Appraisal template transporting problem

Hi Gurus!
Appraisal template transport work only between mandants of development system. It doesn't work for other systems ( QAS, productive)
Category and category Group was transported earlier.
I did number ranges for objects VA,VB,VC. So there are no such objects in QAS system.
Report RHSOBJCH was done.
What else should I do?

I have found SAP Note 1475428 - Transport appraisal Basic settings
2-Following entries must exist in T77S0:
If LSO is installed:
TRSP STOBJ 'PDST_LSO'
TRSP WFOBJ 'PDWS_LSO'
If LSO is not installed:
TRSP STOBJ 'PDST'
TRSP WFOBJ 'PDWS'
It works at last!!!

Web template transport - Urgent

We are unable to save a web template (after making changes)and getting the following errors.
" THE OBJECT CANNOT BE PROCESSED DUE TO A TRANSPORT PROBLEM"
When we click Ok, then the following message is appearing:
"COULD NOT SAVE TEMPLATE"
There is no any other error messages and we are unable to find the solution. Please help urgently.

hi,
welcome to SDN ...
you need to create a bex reqeust, rsa1->transport connection-> icon truck with 'bex', assign with package as the web template when you transport.
(it seems you have ever transported the web template).
all your changes may be gone since you need to close WAD and open/login again. to save the changes you have done,
in WAD go to tab 'html' something ('design') and ctrl + A (to copy all the line) html to notepad or somewhere.
when open again the web template, paste back the codes/html.

The Object cannot not be processed due to a transport problem

We are trying to delete a standard web template 0ADHOC_TABLE (modified by our coworker before and transported) and reinstall a new one or totally standard one, but when clicking the "X" icon to delete this web template, get the following error:
"The Object cannot not be processed due to a transport problem"
What could be the reason?

Hi Kevin,
This message coms up because as you mention, the template has been transported. Since it is in the target system, if you delete form the dev system, the system needs to ensure that it is also removed from the system it has been transported too.
You can check the dev package assigned to the template, assign a new request against this dev class (RSA1 > Transport Connection > Bex Truck icon). Log out and log back into WAD and try to delete it, and then send this transport. Or you can simply reinstall it as Roberto suggests.

Transformation transport problems when containing routine

Hi Gurus,
I'm facing a transport problem.
When i want to transport a transformation that contains routines, the transport says syntax error in routine. The routine in DEV is tested and correct. I realised, that the transport does not bring the routines. After transport, i open the transformation, and the routines contain the default routine: RESULT = .
I found some answers in some posts, but no exact answer how can i get rid of this transport problem. I don't like copy - paste into prod system with manually editing....
If you have any idea, please let me know.

Thanks for your help, it worked now, but i think it should work without owerwrite originals. Sometimes it seems that the routines is not included in the transport request, when i modify a routine in a transformation.
But thanks anyway, problem solved now

Open Hub transporting problems

Hi everybody, we have Open Hub transporting problems, it just gives us return code 12 or 8, basically, it doen't want to transport neither Open Hub Destination, nor Transformations, nor DTPs, and bear in mind that we're on the 15th Patch Level. We've looked at all the SAP Notes, but they reffer to the earlier patch levels...
And other problem, is that it's OK in DEV system but in QUALITY system, when you launch a DTP it gives us a dumb with ASSIGN_TYPE_ERROR
Any ideas??

My destination path on the DEV box is simply the following (identified by BID in the following path):
D:\usr\sap\BID\DVEBMGS00\work
And when I locate the un-activated open hub on the QA box, the BID is already changed to BIQ, but the server name box/field is empty....
I am going to try with the object changebility option, btw, is there any documentation on how to change these objects that are marked with object changebility on the QA box (provided that we can not manually change anything on the QA box)...
Anyways, I think my problem is with the server name conversion from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa"....!!!
Also, please note the RSBFILE entry for this object in the QA box has the "btcsrvname" as blank...
Do you think there is any additional setting that needs to be done on the QA box to do this translation (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa")?
The only two setup we have done as far as the BI is concerned is at the "Tools-> Conversion of logical system name"....where you only put the conversion for client name mapping from dev to qa and local file system mapping from dev to qa.
So, is there anything else to map the host name (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa") either at BI perspective or Basis/NetWeaver perspective?

Problem with Appraisal Template transports

Hi
I am on ECC 6.0 EHP4 and am trying to transport the appraisal transports. I am able to transport the template (VA), criteria group (VB) and Criteria (VC). But the relationship 605 - Includes Element is not getting transported. This is the only relationship which is not getting transported. The other relationship 606 is getting transported.
Also, the following infotypes are not getting transported:
5020, 5021, 5022, 5023, 5024, 5025 and 5026.
Anyone faced such a problem?
Response will be truly appreciated.

WAD 7.0 Template Transport Issue

Hi All,
I have a problem when I attempt to transport my newly modified BEx WAD template up to our QA environment. I am the first person in our environment to try transporting a customized 7.0 template.
I copied the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN Web Application Designer 7.0 default template to YMMPUR_ANALYSIS and changed it by adding a CONDITIONS_LIST, and INFO_FIELD item and changing some checkbox settings and it runs fine in our development system by specifying the TEMPLATE=YMMPUR_ANALYSIS in the URL for various queries. At this point all seems well to use this additional template as an alternate one for some of our queries.
The problem comes when I go into the RSA1> Transport Connection, using object type of BEx Web Template (BTMP), choosing my new template YMMPUR_ANALYSIS to pull over to the right, and gather all the necessary objects. I get a red status code in the window below with the message, "Message not found (in main memory)" and I get a list of other templates with their checkboxes checked as if I need to transport them up to our QA level as well as my newly modified one that uses those other templates. However I know those other templates are already in our QA environment. I get the same exact error situation after I copy the standard web template to another name and pull it over to the right in the transport connection without making any changes at all in it. I still get the message that a message is not found and these other templates are checked indicating to me that the system thinks I need to transport them up. I don't want to transport them up. All I want to do is to transport my template which uses these other templates just like the default one.
The BEx Web Templates mentioned to transport up are: 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_EXPORT, 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_FILTER, 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_FOOTER, 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_HEADER, 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_INFO and the BEx Web Item 0PATTERN_BARCHART_SWITCHED. They already exist in our QA level, so why is the transport connection telling me it is necessary to transport them up and why the error message?
What am I doing wrong?

I have seen this behavior too - nothing to be worried about. But when I first got this message - i transported other templates too that the system was complaining about. But the second time I was transporting other one - i just ignored the messages and just moved the custom one and worked just fine in Q. So I guess just ignore the messages and send just your template.

Multiprovider transport problem

Hello Friends ,
While transporting the multiprovider from BW Development to BW Testing system I am getting following error in the Log display of BW Testing System,
R3TRMPRO***(Multiprovider name) was repaired in this system.
The log display for the Delevelopment system shows messages 'Feedback after export or import'--'Successfully Completed'
But the problem occurs in BW Testing system ,
and we are getting the above error message ,
Import--(8) Ended with errors
please suggest solution .

Source System Does Not Exist - Transport Problem

We have the next Landscape in BW 7.0 (Netweaver 2004's)
LRDCLNT300     is R3 DEV
LRQCLNT700     is R3 QA
LBDCLNT100     is BW DEV
LBQCLNT700     is BW QA
The connections are
LBDCLNT100 (BW Dev) use as source system        LRDCLNT300 (R3 Dev)
LBQCLNT700 (BW QA) use as source system        LRQCLNT700 (R3 QA)
In RSA1->TOOLS -> Conversion of Logical System Names
In Conversion of source system after the transport we have these entries
Source System                    Target System
LBDCLNT100 (BW Dev)         LBQCLNT700 (BW QA)
LRDCLNT300 (R3   Dev)         LRQCLNT700 (BW QA)
But when we transport an order from BW DEV to BW QA show the error "source system LRDCLNT300 does not exist"
Never made the conversion of source system after the transport.
Can you help us please.

     I create a RFC for LRDCLNT300 (R3 Dev) in my BW QA system (Target System).
I try an order again but it didn't work, also I try to check 7.0 checkbox but I got the message "No entry exists for original source system LBDCLNT100 for 3.x object"
and I have to uncheck again.
I still have the same problem the objects are associated to R3 Dev, never make the conversion to R3 QA.

Template url problem in Dreamweaver CS4

Hi there,
Thank you very much for reading this post. I am having a problem with templates in Dreamweaver CS4, I am following the correct procedures to build a template, but when I link the pages together and update the template, the url has not been changed/updated on the child pages.
Here is an example:
Template:
../content/section/pagename.html
Child Page:
/section/pagename.html
Missing out the first part of the link, when the pages are loaded, obviously, they are not going to the correct part of the website
Please, can anybody give me some advice, as this problem is very quickly, driving me mad.

I observe this problem too on my Vista x64 machine with CS4
using dual monitors and split code/design views, and have found
others who have this problem by searching Google.
Description of problem: Roughly 50% of the time, when
switching between files (regardless of type) and trying to select a
block of code with my mouse (dragging over some code with the left
button), it appears to work normally (the intended code is
highlighted). However, when then attempting to CTRL-C (cut) or
paste, the selected code instantly changes to a much larger block
of code (usually selecting a specific div block or something). The
cut or pasted code is then the larger (unintended) block of code.
Once the code view selection works for a particular file
(either it worked from the start or I poked at it long enough to
work), it seems to remain working until switching to another file
and then returning.
Also, Dreamweaver CS3 didn't have this problem, so it's CS4
only.
This is a workflow nuisance much like a word-processor
deciding to insert a % character randomly every 10 seconds while
typing.
I found a Google groups thread
here
in which a poster writes that deleting the Dreamweaver
configuration file fixes this temporarily (the problem eventually
shows up again, and you lose all your customizations by doing
this). The posters in this thread also describe the same problem
with other hardware configurations.
My current workaround is to type return then backspace when
dropping in to the code-view of another file--kind of a pain, but
at least predictable. I also tried avoided the issue by: (a)
selecting something in the design view and then selecting something
in the code view, and/or (b) telling Dreamweaver to show the
"element view" (right click in design view, element view, Full),
but this latter action may be superfluous.
I'd be very interested if someone were to post a simple fix
for this problem.

Query Transportation Problem?

We are working in Bw 3.5 Version
Query: We have observed that there was a problem with Query in Dev & Quality Server?
as per the regular activities we have modeled the entire process in Dev
from data Source to Data target
then we have developed a report on this data target.
all this was saved under one Request and transported to Quality.
then there was some modifications in update rules & and also in Bex report
for this also we have sent under one request to Quality
there we have observed that the modifications in update rules have been applied
& in report this modifications did nnot apply in Quality server
Can any one help in this ............

Hi,
Your Error statement COMMIT shows that the sytem has submittted the request to make connection with the system.
But it immediately gives CON_ROLLBACK (statement) error, which generally happens, there is not enough space in your quality system. therefore the Rollback of the submitted request happens.
Check the DB space in ur Qual system and speak to your BASIS team, so that it can increase the DB size and also, u can urself clean the system.

Report Manager - Template Conversion Problems Excel 2003/2007

We are having an issue in which templates created using excel 2003 are showing incorrectly formatted outputs in excel 2007. We have performed testing by creating new templates in Excel 2007 and most formatting is correct as long as we only make minimal changes to the initial template. Once the template is changed to a further extent the formatting is correct but no actual output shows, just the token defaults. Patches have been applied for both the issue of incorrect formatting caused by Excel's smartcutandpaste and also the problem with the token defaults showing instead of actual Oracle data. We would prefer not to have to recreate the templates as this would be a lengthy process. To me it seems as something was modified that affected the existing templates (other than the Generic FSG Template, which works fine), but does not affect newly created templates. Other methods of viewing the data work fine (pdf and html).
Any ideas?

Layout Template - Alignment Problem

I´m using EP6 Version 6.0.2.4.6 and made some Layout-Templates for my Pages. It works fine, but the alignment of the Ivies in it doesn´t match.
A short Example:

When I look to a page with this Template, all my Iviews on it have an alignment on the right bottom corner of the cells. Is there no way to correct this? I tried a normal html-table but with the same result. Does anyone have a clue for this problem?

The only thing where differences to the original layouts could exist seems to be the layout description within portalapp.xml, especially (and only?) the designClass value (prtlPageConR (right), prtlPageConL (left), prtlPageConM (mid) and prtlPageConF (full)). These css classes are defined within the themes, for example the most used will be under irj/root/portalapps/com.sap.portal.themes.lafservice/themes/portal/sap_standard/prtl_std/prtl_std_ie6.css, but they only define the margin and padding...
Maybe you should copy a standard layout (from irj/root/WEB-INF/portal/portalapps/com.sap.portal.layouts.default) and start with this under new names; if they behave normal, start to manipulate them...
