  • ERROR Registering: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.dll and failure to install

I downloaded and extracted the latest ESR file (Version 10.0.7) this morning. Running SETUP.EXE with no command line switches fails to install Firefox. Ths installation log indicates that the installation has taken 1 second to complete execution. In the Installation log I see the following:
    DLL Registration
    ** ERROR Registering: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.dll **
In the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox folder there is an uninstall folder as well as an install.log file. No other files or folders exist. Mozilla Firefox does appear in the Programs and Features but shows an icon associated with an unknown application.
I am logged in with a low-rights account but running the SETUP.EXE executable from an elevated command prompt. This should be sufficient to elevate the DLL registration.
Running on Windows 7 SP1 with all applicable updates. I've noticed several other people that have experienced this issue but nobody has a solution.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
    *C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 10.0.x ESR: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Thanks a lot for your offer ... i already found a solution. Greetings Helmar
    i forgot point 8.
    Got it from http://itnewscast.com/register-oracle-vm-manager-oracle-enterprise-manager-12c
    very good documentation
    Oracle VM Manager Registration Prerequisites
The following prerequisites must be meet before Oracle VM Manager can be registered in Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control Release 1 (12.1.0.1) and above.
    1.     Oracle Enterprise Manager Release 1 (12.1.0.1) and above.
    2.     The Oracle Virtualization plug-in must be install and enabled on the Oracle Management Service.
    3.     The Oracle VM Manager host must have the Oracle Management Agent (OMA) and be a monitored target in Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control.
    4.     The Oracle VM Manager host must have the Oracle Virtualization plug-in.
    5.     The preferred credentials for the Oracle VM Manager host must be configured in Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control.
    6.     The Oracle Management Service and the Oracle VM Manager host must have consistent name resolution using DNS with both forward and reverse lookups.
    7.     Oracle VM Manager 3.1 and above require TCPS authentication.
    8.     Oracle Enterprise Manager Release 2 (12.1.0.2) and above with Oracle VM Manager 3.1 and above must have the Oracle VM Manager keystore imported into the Oracle VM Manager host's Oracle Management Agent keystore.

  • [linux-3.2] watchdog: error registering /dev/watchdog

Today, kmod replaced module-init-tools, and after upgrading my system, noticed this error after udev loaded:
Jan 6 07:44:41 localhost kernel: [ 4.528051] watchdog: INTCAMT: cannot register miscdev on minor=130 (err=-16).
    Jan 6 07:44:41 localhost kernel: [ 4.528088] watchdog: error registering /dev/watchdog (err=-16).
Jan 6 07:44:41 localhost kernel: [ 4.528113] mei: unable to register watchdog device.
Thankfully, nothing else happened and my system didn't go kaput. But reading the manpage, watchdog does appear to be important. Since udev errors were expected with the kmod upgrade, and this error never occurred before today (checked my /var/log/everything.log), it appears kmod is the likely culprit.
Edit: Tried posting this to the ML, and discovered that the general public does not have write access to the ML. So if some developer thinks this is important, hopefully that person will see this post.

I finally found some time to dig in the kernel source a bit and found that I was wrong. Sorry for the confusion. There's nothing wrong with the Intel MEI watchdog driver and the softdog is not involved at all. The truth is that the watchdog core functions only support 1 watchdog device via /dev/watchdog [1]. If the iTCO_wdt driver would use the watchdog core [2], we'd get the correct "only one watchdog can use /dev/watchdog." message and the IMEI watchdog registration would not be attempted. But it doesn't. It registers in a different way [3] and so the core does not "know" about another watchdog being already registered, attempts to register the IMEI watchdog and fails with the confusing "cannot register miscdev..." message.
The bottom line is that the kernel supports only one watchdog and we (administrators) have to decide which device we want to use.

  • XML parsing error registering a JSR168 portlet

Hi, I'm trying to register a deployed application as a portlet provider, and I'm getting an XML parsing error (full details below). Basically, when I complete the Register Provider wizard, it falls over with "Illegal Namespace prefix: xml".
I'm guessing this is coming from the service description: the response from WSRPServiceDescriptionService.getServiceDescription contains xml:lang="en" attributes on many of the elements.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Should these attributes not be present, or should the portal be able to parse them?
    I'm using the following versions:
    JDeveloper Studio Edition 10.1.3.2.0.4066
    Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2

Have you guys seen this before ?
I'm under pressure here, 'cause some projects had stopped to work.
Please I would appreciate any help.
    Tks.

    HI there, thanks for attention..
    See ...
    There's a lot of confusion with these env's .
I did not built this, so... I'm cleaning my hands.... anyway... :)
    I must fix....
Well basically if we have two env's, so we have different project each one right ?
Ok, but I was told that if you have on the same network and same physical machine the name of AdminServer as "AdminServer" in all domains, so it goes with problems... I never heard about it... but is a good practice you put the names for example :
    WLI - WLIAdminServer
    ALSB - AlsbAdminServer
    WLI2 - WLiadminServer2
    ALSB2 - ALsbAdminServer2
I would do it.. this way..
    But how it wasn't me...
    We got..
    WLI - WliAdminServer
    ALsb - AdminServer
    WLI2 - AdminServer
    ALsb2 - AdminServer
    Have you got it ?
So... I was told that this could be a problem, almost all AdminServers with the same name... guess what ?Some Projects are back to work. but not at all.. only some.. so I 'm breathing better now... but I would like to know if you seen this before ?
I would appreciate your help again.
Unfortunately there's no detailed stack trace to track this
    Tks.

  • SSL error Registering on Oracle Linux Network

I performed the following actions using Linux v4 update 4.
    [root@as1 ~]# rpm --import /usr/share/rhn/RPM-GPG-KEY
    [root@as1 ~]# up2date nox register
There was an SSL error: [('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')]
A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct.
I check the time and date. They are correct to the second.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Also , if i choose to ignore all these massages, database is installed. But, startup command fails giving following error :
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file '/scratch/nnaveen/installations/ora_db11.2.0.1.0/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/dbs/initorcl.us.oracle.com.ora'
I guess its one of the side effect of database configuration assistant not working properly

According to the common errors document, if you get this error you just need to re-run the install. I've tried this on both nodes of the cluster, and about 50 times and always get the same error. I'm at a loss, cert seems fine since I can select the ASR

    Hi,
First of all apologizes for delayed response. We had to dig though a few things to figure out the possible reason of failure. This seems like an issue in where machine was unable to make a connection to Azure service. I understand that you have tried registering
multiple times and have failed. If it is not too much trouble can you try registering one more time? Just re-reun the setup and try to register. Ensure that your firewall allows connection to Azure (you can check this by opening
https://pod01-srs1.eus.hypervrecoverymanager.windowsazure.com/. You should see a Server Error page). Ensure that you enter proxy settings if any on the proxy page.
