Hello all,
when I try to register Planning and Workspace against the Shared Services on EPM 11, I get the following error message:

i am also getting the same exact error message , the only difference is i am getting it while registering the HFM application and for me Planning went through smoothly.

Classic Wizard Error for Planning through Workspace

Hi!
I have registered Planning through Shared Services but I get a "Please verify that the application has been registered through Shared Services..." error message when I try to access the Classic Administration through Workspace. I am working with 9.3.1.
I can create AND register an app by going to http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp....but then if I try to provision the app or log into the app (by goign to http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp?) I get an "apllication XXX is invalid. Please see log for details" and as usual the log says nothing useful.
Any ideas?

I have had a few tech consultants look at it and they have suggested uninstalling Planning for the 3rd time and reinstalling...If there is any magic I can do to fix it, I would prefer to do that instead of uninstalling

Are you able to open / access the application via the Workspace 'Application' Menu?
Also you should have configured Planning to be available through the same HTTP server that workspace uses. So instead of connecting to Planning directly to the JVM port (8300) you would go through the same HTTP address you use for workspace (19000).
It is important to note you should not be accessing workspace through the direct JVM port (45000) but instead through the HTTP server. The default HTTP server port used by Hyperion is 19000.
So you would access workspace at:
http://<server>:19000/workspace
And Planning should be available at:
http://<server>:19000/HyperionPlanning
If you cannot access planning through the proxied HTTP server address then that is more than likely the issue you are having as Workspace needs to connect to planning through the HTTP server and not directly to the JVM port.

When I try to open Classic Planning Administration from workspace Navigate->Administer->Classic Application Administration , I am getting error :
Invalid or couldn't find module configuration , when I click on OK I am getting error : required application module HyperionPlanning.Appwizard is not configured

Hi,
You could try reconfiguring workspace, try going to the config utility and Select Reporting & Analysis > Web Server > Make sure planning is selected and you have the correct host details entered.
You can use planning directly it shouldnt create any issues.

Authentication error at planning datasource config

Hi,
I have one planning application. Some days ago, I changed the password of 'admin' and synced it through shared services. planning and all other applications are working ok thereafter. But now I need to create a seperate planning application for which one new datasource is required. When I try to create a new datasource, it is giving error: "Failed to authenticate user admin against provider native directory". After giving the datasource name when I want to go to next screen the error is coming. Can you please guide me on this problem?

For workspace :- \Hyperion\logs\BIPlus
Planning your best bet will be \Hyperion\logs\services\HyS9Planning-sysout.log

HFM and Workspace upgrade with SSL from 931 to 933

Hi,
We have upgraded our HFM and workspace components from 931 to 933.
Webserver:Apache and AppServer : Weblogic 9.1
We already had SSL enable with 931 but some anohter vendor has done it Now after upgrade to 933 we cannot directly use https .Can anybody please let me know how to reconfigure SSL after performing the upgrade?
We have hyp_ssl_pdf but that doesnt give proper clue,what stpes to be followed.
Would be great if somebody can throw light upon the procedure and steps to be followed.

The certificate specified by the "TrustedCAFile" parameter does not contain a valid certificate chain.
Solution:
1. Connect to https://<YourServer>/HyperionFinancialManagement - the secure sign (padlock) should appear on the browser showing that the connection was secure (bottom right for Internet Explorer 6.0).
2. Double click the secure sign and go to the "Certificates Path" tab
3. Make note of the chains
4. Create a new TrustedCAFile with all those chains

5. Validate it with WebLogic's "java utils.ValidateCertChain" utility

Error while creating a workspace and workspace user

Hi Everyone
I have installed oracle 11.1.0.7 on our server and the os is windows server 2008. I tried creating a new workspace and workspace user using the repository assistant on the server itself i mean i am using OWB which comes along with the 11g database. It is installing 60% and at the end it gives me this error:
The warehouse builder workspace installation failed Java.Sql.SQLexception ora -00942 table or view does not exist
How can i deal with this error? any suggestions ?

Hello, I had actually not resolved my issue. I was using a Hardware Load Balancer and pointing all apps in HYSL-Weblogic.conf to the HA VIP. If you put all servernames for the WebLogicCluster stanzas as WL_SERVER:WL_PORT,WL_SERVER2:_WLPORT2 format it should fix your issue. Fingers crossed that mine is resolved.

ERROR Registering: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.dll and failure to install

I downloaded and extracted the latest ESR file (Version 10.0.7) this morning. Running SETUP.EXE with no command line switches fails to install Firefox. Ths installation log indicates that the installation has taken 1 second to complete execution. In the Installation log I see the following:

** ERROR Registering: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.dll **
In the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox folder there is an uninstall folder as well as an install.log file. No other files or folders exist. Mozilla Firefox does appear in the Programs and Features but shows an icon associated with an unknown application.
I am logged in with a low-rights account but running the SETUP.EXE executable from an elevated command prompt. This should be sufficient to elevate the DLL registration.
Running on Windows 7 SP1 with all applicable updates. I've noticed several other people that have experienced this issue but nobody has a solution.

Error Code 2755 and hang-up at "Registering Modules"

So a few days ago I decided to download iTunes 7, and everything in the installation seemed to be going fine until it stopped for about half an hour at "Registering Modules: iPodUpdaterExt.dll". I cancelled the installation, but iTunes worked anyway, and I thought that maybe it wouldn't really be an issue. I was wrong.
I can't update the software on my Nano to the 1.2 version because the installation never really finished. And when I tried a few more times to re-download the installation files, it didn't work, gave me this error code 2755, and a little note popped up saying the installation encountered an unexpected error before it could be completed.
If anyone could give me any advice, that'd be fantastic.

This is the exact same problem that I'm having currently, Right now, I'm in the installation process for iTunes 7 and it has been taking a while to move on past "Registering Modules". I did the same thing before and cancelled the installation because it wasnt moving on, and later opened iTunes 7 to find it worked fine. Unfortunately, it didnt allow my iPod to get updated and nopw I have iPod games that are sitting around and need to get onto my iPod. Can someone please explain what is going on with the "Registering Modules" process of the installation?

Error Regarding Data loading in Planning and budgeting cloud service.

I was able to load data in planning and budgeting cloud service before 1 month.
I loaded via Administration -> Import and Export -> Import data from File.
Today i loaded the same file to the cloud instance for the same entity that i loaded after clearing the existing data.
I am getting error while validating itself as
\\Unrecognized column header value(s) were specified for the "Account" dimension: "Apr", "May", "Jun", "Jul", "Aug", "Sep", "Oct", "Nov", "Dec", "Jan", "Feb", "Mar", "Point-of-View", "Data Load Cube Name". (Check delimiter settings, also, column header values are case sensitive.)
I checked the source file. Everything is correct. I actually loaded the same file before and i was able to load.
Does anyone know the problem behind. Can anyone give me suggestion please

I had Period and Year dimension in Columns
I changed the layout of year dimension in period to POV and loaded the data file. I was able to load without any errors.
I changed the layout again to the original form as before and loaded. I didn't get any errors again.

You can ask Apple support for the replacement receipt, this receipt would have the old iphone information(including Imei) and the replacement iphone information.
I had a problem like you and they sent me that information, then with the old imei you can unlock your iphone
Another way to take the old iphone imei, you can look for the original iphone box, yep, the one i hope you saved carefully somewhere in your house hahaha. The imei is showed on the bottom of the box down-right corner.
