Osx lion & fcp7 serial number issue

Purchased new iMac and using migration tool, I transfered apps from old machine to new.
All went well and launching FCP 7 for first time on new machine 27" iMac with Lion installed was asked for serial number.
Numbers were entered and all went well except when quitting / relaunch FCP, I am asked to re-enter the numbers.
Not sure what is going on hence the question.
Product was purchased back at FCP 4 and upgraded along the way to 7 ( numbers entered were from the package FCP 7 upgrade ).

Never use the Migration Assistant with pro apps.
The complex nature of these apps means that many files are placed at system level by the original installation procedure, some are in folders that are normally invisible to the user and do not copy across. Clean install pro apps every time.
Use this tool: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover to remove the migrated files and reinstall from the original discs.

not sure if I should split these two questions...
1 - Invalid Serial Number issue
I'm helping out a friend with their large photo collection and they bought Lightroom 5 and received the serial number but when we add this to Lightroom it states that it's invalid - I tried leaving it until the following week (I visit them weekly) and it still refusing the number - when I went into their Adobe account and took a look at downloads the option to download the full version is greyed out (or an x - I'm not sat on their computer right now so can't double check) but it wouldn't allow me to do anything so we just had the trial version.
anyone know what the issue is - shall I get them to contact Adobe to get them to take a look - I also had issues trying to find a customer support email address lol. (I seem to faffing with lots of websites/software/companies this week so getting a little frazzled!)
2 - Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question
This question is linked to the above i- I am wondering if the folders in Lightroom are different in the trial version vs the fully paid version.
I had set up some greeting card templates and contact sheet layouts for my friend and tried to transfer them to her computer but whilst, LR 'sees' the folders it just doesn't acknowledge the templates - I tried it several ways but I've not had that issue before so will that sort itself when I get the serial number fixed?

Hi Lenny, the two questions may be related but the trial is actually the same as the full version. I would suggest getting the serial number issue sorted out first. There have been known issues where a paid for product still shows up as a trial.There is not a lot the community can do. You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2. Serial number issues or activating my product

Serial number issue in STO PGR

I am facing serial number issue after doing PGR
i am into STO process . Oce PGI for outbound delivery is created and then MIGO (PGR) will happen at recveing pant
issue is after MIGO (PGR) the serial number status must be in AVLB ..but it is still in EDEL ESTO ...
The AVLB status must come automatically in the equipment master.

I am doing through PO...we don't have inbound delivery process ... so i do MIGO with reference to PO
We have equipment master IE01/2.. plant is assigned after MIGO reeving plant is getting updated in the equipment master but the serial number status is not getting changed to AVLB.... also the serial number profile is with MMSL procedure.

Its better to explain with the example.
Material Number : ABCD with serial number as 123456
There is a reservation for the Material ABCD from work order, now the warehouse person Goods Issues for the reservation ABCD with serial number 06-123456.(he issued wrong serial number)
Correction action - Reverse Goods Issue for serial number 06-123456, now Goods issue for correct number as 123456. But the systems doesnot allows the serial number, error Material ABCD 123456 is already installed. Thenin IQ09 the material ABCD with SNO 123456 is INSTL Status.
Now question.
1. In 1st place how system allows the Goods issue for particular reservation with different serial number?
2. Without issuing the serial number 123456, how the status changed to INSTL???
3. How to solve this problem, need to change the stauts of Material 123456 as ESTO, then i can do goods issue,. how to change the status??

Hi,
Ask the workcentre to give that materail with 202 or 262 mvt to you. Now with the new reservation issue the required serial number material to site.
System does not have the serial number in reservation slip.Manually u are assigning it diuring the MIGO.

FCP7 Serial Number

Well, after accidentally updating my software without checking everything I was actually updating via the weekly update, my G5 decided that I needed to re-verify my FCP7 serial number. However being that I bought it ummm... 7-8 years ago, I couldn't find my paper materials that had the number printed on it. So I faxed Apple my proof of purchase and asked for a new serial. Great, they responded immediately. Except the new serial number didn't work. Luckily, I had an old laptop that had my FCP7 on it, so I took it to the store (I hadn't turned it on in awhile and it didn't remember how to "work") and got all that fixed - only to find that the serial number on my working FCP7 wasn't displayed blatantly on the title screen.
I have searched the internet and know that by going to Finder > Library > Application Support > ProApps > Final Cut Pro System ID will help me find the serial number. But here's the thing - I don't have a folder on either of my computers that is titled "ProApps". So I'm at a dead end again. Can anyone please help me find out another way to get my original serial number off the application that's imported on my laptop?
If I didn't have to continuously edit hour-long programs for a web-series I'm producing, I wouldn't bother, I'd spend the time learning a new software because I've heard the newer versions of FCP aren't up to snuff. CS4 Extended Serial Number issue

while registering CS4 Extended I have a problem. As Upgrade Version only CS3 Extended is shown, not my valid CS3.
Any ideas?

Serial number issue after Mountain Lion clear install.

Hello.
I have a problem with Aperture 3 (v.3.4), evry time I'm rebooting OSX (Moutain Lion) Aperture is asking again for serial no.
I have Aperture 2 + Aperture 3 upgrade serials no.
After puting them, Aperture is working fine until next restart of OSX.
Already fixed database and removed aplication settings and still the same issue.
Please advise.

You may have a corrupted "ProAppSystemID" file.
To stop Aperture asking for the serial number, check, if you still have an old file "ProAppSystemID" in your System Library.
Quit Aperture.
Go to your MacintoshHD and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "ProApps".
Remove the File "ProAppsSystemID" to the Desktop, if it exist and restart Aperture.
Reenter your serial number, hopefully for the last time.
Sometimes Aperture writes this file to a temporary directory, when it cannot write to the Library. If the above does not work, look at the temporary directory /tmp
Use the Finder's "Go" menu
Go > Got to folder and enter /tmp into the textfield. If you see the file there, move it to its proper location.

Has the photoshop elements 12 serial number issue been fixed? is there a version that works?

I bought a new in the box photoshop elements 12 just before christmas new in the box from Amazon. I tried to install but it said the serial number was invalid. I talked to help staff for hours and could not get it to work. Did this issue ever get fixed? Is there a version of photoshop elements that will work? By work I mean when you enter the serial number on the package that you can install and the serial number will work. I am replacing photoshop elements 7 which says I have installed it too many times.

I am using Lenovo g50-70. When I type "wmic bios get serialnumber" on the command prompt.It is showing numeric values instead of alpha numeric. I already installed BIOS software, still showing numeric values. Welcome to the Forums
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with touchpad in your Lenovo G50 laptop.
Serial number will be alpha numeric, as you have mentioned it shows only numeric you can make a BIOS default, restart the system and keeps tapping f9 key and select make BIOS default option.
Can you share the snap shot of the BIOS through private message so that we can validate the issue.

Third Party replaced Motherboard under warrantee, did a great job. Serial Number issue

No, not a refurbished phone. Brand new in the packaging from Vodafone. I am currently researching the alleged "third party hardware" and believe it is the dock connector that Apple claim they didn't put there. These retail at about £4.99. Believe me, if I had had a third party repair of a £4.99 piece of kit I would just do it again not take it to Apple to try and fix. There is no logic to it. I'm not going to go down the cynical route of the fact that this "intruder discovery" was made whilst the phone was out of my sight being worked on by their repair staff!?!?
I have also discovered there is no one to email at Apple to complain. The only suggestions appear to be phoning or the Genius Bar. Obviously, I've been to the Genius Bar to be told that they won't do anything because of this mysterious intruder in their phone.
Further, I am now in a position where I cannot dispute that the phone has been opened as it now has; by Apple. The staff admitted that before they opened it "it didn't appear to have been opened before" but they stuck by their "we won't do anything" stance upon their discovery.
I've got a photo of the inside of the phone and to my untrained eye everything appears immaculate. None of of the screw heads, numerous of which would have to be removed and replaced for the "intruder" to get in there, are marked in anyway. Can't see why anyone would go to the trouble.
The phone isn't even under warranty so it's not like I'm trying to get a new for old - I just wanted it fixed by the "experts".
Rest assured, I will get to the bottom of this.

Trial mode and serial number issue with Creative Cloud

I recently bought a CC membership but I seem to be getting the same trial mode/serial number window others have been receiving when trying to open a Creative Cloud app. I've already spoken with two Adobe techs without any resolves. I've uninstalled and reinstalled CC, I renamed an OOBE file that the tech suggested I do and looked into the Language preferences. I'm on an iMac 10.8.4.
I'm really not technically minded but to me it seems like something continues to read my original CS6 trial I had previously. I've since uninstalled it but something remains perhaps My only thoughts at this point would be to make sure I have any recent files backed up then perhaps use Time Machine and revert back to before I installed CC then try installing again OR do the trial and hope once the 30 days are up it will read my paid account.
I would really appriciate any feedback. I've used far too many excuses at work having missed deadlines due to this issue.

Okay, I think I have it solved *fingers crossed* by following this:
Mac:
1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
3. Remove the entries and save the file
4. try again launching any product from CS6

I did a backup of the hosts file and labelled it "hosts-backup" and put it on my desktop, then made another copy of the hosts file (since you can't alter the original). This time I removed ALL the Adobe entries and named the file "hosts", and saved that to the desktop. I then replaced the original hosts file with the altered saved version by dragging it into the etc folder.
I started up Flash cc and it worked! I've since downloaded PS cc and it's opened as well. I just hope it continues to function...

Apple Time Capsule Serial Number Issue

Can anyone from Apple explain why when you add in a Time Capsule serial number it is recognised on some areas of the site and not on others?

Serial number issue

Can anybody please help me with this scenario? We produce a part in Plant A. We have another plant B. We get sales orders on plant B and if there is enough stock in plant B to meet the sales order requirement, we send it from B, if we do not have enough stock then we procure from plant A. The question i have is, is it possible to ship the same serial number parts to the end customer with out gettting any error message in plant B.
Fo r example, serial number 1 gets shipped from Plant A to plant B and we receive it and keep it here and when we ship the same serial number 1 to a sales order from plant B, we are getting the error message, serial number not found or invalid? can we do something in the system to get rid of this error message?
I hope i made myself clear? how will the system perceive this? Just because we shipped the serial number to our plant, does the system consider that we alreaedy shipped the serila number to the customer?

Well, did you find the customizing of the serial number profile in customizing?
I found the following instructions in SAP online help that will help you to confirm that your customizing is correct.
A serial number profile with the operation MMSL must be entered in the material master record.
If a stock check is to be performed, the indicator of the same name must be set in the serial number profile.
In order that the individual stocks are recorded correctly, you must define the indicator as follows:
· The serial number usage for the operation MMSL must be 03, meaning that the assignment of serial numbers is obligatory for goods movements.
· The stock check must be 2, meaning that if the stock data is inconsistent, the system does not perform the posting and issues a corresponding error message.
