Outbound e-mail in IC WebClient 7.0

Hi Experts,
Small question in regards to the use of sending outbound e-mails from the IC WebClient application.
- Is it possible to have these e-mails in the Agent Inbox?
- if not, is there any way to keep track of these e-mails and to look them up? (it is not stored in the CRMD_ORDERADM_H)
Thanks,
Sebastiaan.

Hi Sebastiaan,
If it helps, for your second question you can track the outbound emails in SOST transaction.
I mostly use CRM4 and there we're not able to put the outbound emails in agent inbox only by configuration. In CRM7 I don't know if it is possible.
Kind regards,
Garcia

  • Outbound e-mails blocked in Outlook

    I'm using Outlook V14.0.2 for Mac and suddenly outbound messages became blocked again.  Had problem previously more than a month ago when Port 25 was blocked so changed to port 587 and all was well.  Suddenly this problem has reappeared again and with Port set ot 587 outbound e-mails are again blocked.  Does anyone have a similar problem?

    Anthony_VZ,
       Thanks for your reply but I still cannot get this going.  If I change the outgoing port to 465 and check the secure SSL option, it simply times out and still never sends the message.  So, I tried all combinations -- setting the new port numbers as you have suggested for both incoming and outgoing, turning SSL both on, then off and nothing seems to work for the outbound messages.  I am OK on inbound and even if I reset the incoming port to 995, messages come in on port 110.  So, problem still exists for my outbound messages.
    Any other suggestions?  I am using a MAC and the version of Outlook is 14.0.2.  All had been working fine so something must have changed on the verizon side.

  • IDoc outbound errors - mail send step in WF to send info-mail to enduser

    Hello specialists
    I searched quite a lot in the forums now. I found lot of info but nothing regarding my issue.
    I need to send an info-mail to the end user creating purchase orders. But only if the idoc (outbound ORDERS) could not be sent (failing for some reason, i.e. if rfc connection fails). This is what I've done to achieve this:
    - in WE40 I linked my WF to process code EDIO
    - the WF-BATCH user has an email address assigned to it (in SU01)
    - the mail sending step in my WF is configured like this:
    recipient type = G (organizational object)
    Expression = &_WORKITEM.CREATEDBYUSER.ID& (this contains the enduser id)
    subject = Test for &WORKITEM.CREATEDBYUSER.ID&
    When testing the mail can not be delivered (error SO23).
    When setting recipient type to U (E-Mail address) and giving a valid e-mail address, then it works fine (SCOT, etc. is configured and mailing to external systems works). But setting the e-mail address hard coded style in the mail send step is not an option here!
    It seems that the send mail step (SELFITEM.SENDTASKDESCRIPTION) always requires a valid e-mail address. Is it not able to handle SAP user id's ?
    Thanks in advance for some guideance on this one.

    Hello and thanks for your help.
    I was able to solve it like this:
    - don't use mail send step
    - instead, add new activity with a new task (SELFITEM.SENDTASKDESCRIPTION)
    - in the bindings (workflow -> step) set:
         B --> &TYPEID&
         &_WORKITEM.CREATEDBYUSER.ID& --> &ADDRESSSTRINGS&
    Seems that the mail send step doesn't allow TYPEID to be "B" because each time I tried to tweak the generated bindings that way it messed up the recipient type and expression I set before.

  • Outbound Apple Mail Gmail Messages Trapped in Outbox

    Mavens,
    On an iMac running Mavericks (OS X 10.9 (13A603)) and Apple Mail 7.0 (1822), outbound GMail messages remain trapped in the Outbox.
    NOTE: This GMail account is using Google's 2-step Verification with an Application-specific Password for Apple Mail.
    Apple Mail does access GMail's Inbox (it seems that all Gmail Inbox messages are reflected in Apple Mail's Inbox).
    Outbound Gmail Emails remain trapped in Apple Mail's Outbox.
    ALSO—
    If Apple Mail is closed, then re-opened, it (Apple Mail) asks for the GMail password...over & over & over...the only solution I've found is to create a new Google Application-specific password. Very tedious, and quite un-Apple-like ("...it just works.").
    If you've encountered—and fixed—either of these problems...what do you suggest? Any ideas?
    Many, many thanks in advance.
    Best,
    Plane Wryter

    May have found a fix!
    Thrashing around in Mail | Preferences | Accounts...
    I painstakingly worked through all the settings for the GMail account (e.g., double-checking IMAP and SMTP parameters).
    In doing so, I notices that the setting for "TLS Certificate" was "None" (as it is for my other GMail accounts).
    On a whim, I clicked the drop-down for TLS Certificate...and selected com.apple.idms.etc.etc.
    Allons-y! It worked.
    A moment after selecting the TLS Certficate setting...the [formerly] trapped Outbox Emails launched on their way.
    If you have the same symptoms, I hope this helps.

  • Outbound exchange mail being sent via SMTP instead of activesync

    This is kind of an advanced configuration and question, I'm pretty sure this is a bug but not sure how to get it to the right audience. I have several email accounts configured on my iPhone, two of the accounts share the same email address but are on two different servers; one an Exchange and the other a POP/SMTP server. The reason for this is that my domain has two MX records, the POP/SMTP being set up with a lower priority and acts as my backup server in the event my Exchange server is unavailable. The POP/SMTP server is hosted by registrar, where I host my own Exchange server.
    What I noticed is that when I have my POP/SMTP account set to active, any outbound mail I send via my Exchange account is being sent via my POP/SMTP account and NOT the activesync connector for the Exchange account. This shouldn't be happening, how do I report this to Apple?
    -Keith

    Anyone out there have a fix for this or know if this issue even hits Apple's radar for a fix?

  • Outbound E-Mail templates in a non-IC_AGENT Business Role

    Hi,
    Does anybody have experience of using outbound email templates in the CRM 2007 Web UI?  Specifically with a non-IC_AGENT Business Role as the email editor in the Web UI is different to the IC_AGENT Business Role email editor.  I am using a standard Grantor Business Role (CRMGRMPRGMAN) and therefore cannot select mailforms in the "Std Response" field used in the email editor of the IC_AGENT Business Role.
    I have seen that when I create an Activity of type 'Outgoing E-Mail' that there is a "Default Text" field in email editor.  Is this where I would select an email template?  Can you please enlighten me as to how to create the templates and make them available in the email editor of an non-IC_AGENT Business Role?
    Many thanks,
    Onkar.

    Hello Onkar,
    (a) Email Editor is IC_AGENT has more advanced features compared to Email Create in NON IC_AGENT Business Role. One of the features being the Standard Response Group. Basically, Standard Response Group is grouping of Commonly used Standard Responses and assigning it to the Email Profile.
    However, in case of NON IC_AGENT Business Roles, there is no such provision of assocaiting a Email
    profile and thus there is no provision to assocaite a standard response group.
    (b) With respect to Draft mails, please refer the note 1251719. As mentioned in the note, draft mails are not yet supported in these Roles.
    Hope this clarifies your queries.
    Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Outbound E-Mail when creating a Service Request

    Hi.
    I am trying to set up a scenario where an outbound notification email is sent out when a Service Request is created. I have created the email FORM in WEB UI but was wondering how to trigger the email sending process (I am looking for the best practice).
    A possible option could be to create an action that is triggered when the Service Request is saved but does the standard action work with a "email form" created from WEB UI (as far as I know it works with SMARTFORM) or do i have to code the whole logic myself:
    -Get the template.
    -Convert it to html.
    -Populate data.
    -Build email body and so on and finally send email and attach it to the Service Request.
    I wonder if there is standard functionality for this.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
    If you are on CRM 7.0 sending e-mail when service request is saved is a standard functionality. Use Rule policy with Intent Driven Interaction context.
    1.  Create New policy and add your Business Role at the header.
    2. Add IC Events 'OrderSaved' at the header.
    3. Create Rule as follows:
                                   Condition  -    If Current Event Equals Order was saved
                                   Action      -    Send Out-Going E-Mail Using Mail Form
                                                         E-Mail Subject 'xxxxx'
                                                         Sender's E-Mail Adress 'email id'
                                                         Mail Form 'ZMailform'
    Note:1. Make sure that your mail form has the attribute service request tracking text is inserted.You can see the service request tracking text attribute when you create the mail form in the Attribute Context 'ERMS
            2. Make sure that your service manager profile has the your IDI policy assigned.
            3. Your CRM 7.0 is on SP04 or above.
    Let me know if you have more queries.

  • How to specify "From" address when sending Outbound e-mail from Siebel

    Hi, when sending an e-mail to Outlook exchange server among all there are 2 fields: Sender and From, where Sender is an address of the profile from which e-mail will be sent and "From" address is the one that will be displayed to the receipient ("From" is not related to any profile and any e-mail address could be specified there).
    My question is how can we specify this "From" address in Siebel while using standard e-mail functionality (Communications Outbound Manager sends data based on created activity record). Client wants to specify any e-mail address regardless ofcommunication profile used (which is only one).

  • Outbound E-mail Configuration

    When filling in the email configuration for the Host, is it better to use IP address or DNS name? Is the Authentication needed, or can I just set this to allow all user to send email? Is there a preference? Would the GWIA need an exception for this server?

    Originally Posted by dschaldedfg

    The "username" that you configure here will be used as the "From" address for any mail that is sent out from the Teaming server itself (e.g. digest emails, email subscriptions, etc.). Email that is sent out by individual users will appear to come from the users' email addresses and is not affected by this setting. So, even if your SMTP server does not require authentication, it would be advisable to put something in this field ("[email protected], or "TeamingAdmin").

  • Outbound Internet Mail

    Hi!
    My outgoing email is not working i have tried everything and the mail for outgoing to internet is not working.
    I can recieve email to from internal and external.
    I can send mail internally.
    But i cannot send email external. can someone please help me with this?

    Hi Benyamin ghavam nader,
    1.Please try to telnet the next hop and that would be your smart hosts like (edge server,cisco iron port or any other third party email systems) .By doing that we came to know about the reachability between your exchange server and next hop .
    2. Please check with the queue viewer there would be an chance to find out the errors occurred to reach the next hop (i.e to internet )
    3.Then enable the protocol logging for the send connector (i.e configured for internet) which would help you to find the error messages in the logs which has occurred during the communication between your exchange server and smart host .
    4.There might be lot chances to have issues in smart host , to confirm again please do message tracking which would help you find the whether the message has reached the next hop(i.e smart host) or not .
    5. If you are routing email to internet via smart host  please check  did you have correct ip address mentioned on the send connector or not .
    6.If you are routing via mx record please check host A and mx records are configured properly in AD.
    Please reply me if you have any queries .

  • Signatures in outgoing mail in Webclient

    hi all,
    how to add signatures in outgoing mails in IC webclient.We are working on CRM5.0
    i could found signature configuration in Winclient but not in  webclient.
    were is this configuration done.
    Regards
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
    If you need automatic insertion, one of the options is to use ERMS functionality.
    If you do not want to use ERMS, you need to modify your code, considering what email is currently open.
    In ICWC email profile you need to add line (lines) like this:
      <Parameter id="Response" value="Signature"/>
    value is the real name of mailform(s), after that it appears in responses selection box.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I install stunnel on Yosemite server 4 so my mail relay works on port 465?

    My ISP blocks outbound smtp mail and insists I point to their relay server on port 465.  After I set up mail relaying in the server config app I get SMTP log errors saying it's unimplemented.  After some research it looks like I need to install a SSL tunnel package called stunnel.  Has anyone had an success getting stunnel installed?  Or, has anyone had any luck using Yosemite Server 4 to mail relay through verizon.net (port 465)?  Any suggestions are much appreciated.

    I'll assume that you have to authenticate to the mail relay with a name and password. The Server GUI doesn't provide for this use case.
    Take the following steps to configure Postfix to relay mail to a remote SMTP server with password authentication over SSL. Substitute as required for strings in italics below. Address is the fully-qualified domain name of the relay host. The value of port is usually either 25, 465, or 587. Username and password refer to your credentials on the relay host.
    In the current version of OS X Server (but not necessarily in older versions), Steps 1 and 3 should be done for you when you enable relaying and relay authentication in the Server application.
    1. If necessary, create or update the relayhost directive in
         /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/main.cf
    It should look like this:
         relayhost = [address]:port
    2. Add these lines, above the section at the end that begins with the comment "# Mac OS X Server":
         smtp_sasl_security_options =
         smtp_tls_CAfile = /etc/certificates/relayhost.pem
         smtp_tls_session_cache_database = btree:$data_directory/smtp_tls_session_cache
         smtp_use_tls = yes
    3. If it doesn't already exist, create the password file
         /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/sasl/passwd
    with this content:
         [address]:port
         username:password
    Here address must match $relayhost.
    Then create the password database:
    sudo postmap /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/sasl/passwd
    This action creates the file
         /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/sasl/passwd.db
    The two password files should be readable by root only.
    4. Create the file
         /etc/certificates/relayhost.pem
    with the CA certificate(s) to be trusted for authentication of the remote host. You get those certificates from the service provider. If you can't find a link to download them, try this:
    openssl s_client -connect address:port -showcerts < /dev/null | sed -n '/-BEGIN /,/-END /p' | sudo sh -c 'cat > /etc/certificates/relayhost.pem'
    The command may produce an error message that isn't necessarily significant. For servers that use the older STARTTLS protocol, rather than straight TLS or SSL, this command may need to be modified.
    5. Restart the Mail service.

  • Need to create sale order from the flat file & mail has to be sent

    Hi Experts,
              I have a requirement to create a sale order from a flat file and once the oder is created, mail has to be sent to customer as well as to internal user with the order details. I want to know how this process can be implemented and what adapters are needed to execute this.
    it would be very helpful, if i get an step-by-step procedure.
    Points assured for any helpful answers.
    Thanks in Advance
    Jai

    HI Jai,
    You need to create two interfaces as file will be sending the Sales oreder details that you need to capture in IDOC or RFC and then have to trigger to create the sales order. For this Standard BAPIs are also available.
    These RFC or BAPIs will response with Sales order details that you need to divert to Mail adapter with the use of BPM and also have to go for Async to Sync bridge.
    File -
    >XI (BPM) ---> BAPI/RFC  (Request)
    MailAdapter <- XI (BPM) <--- BAPI/RFC (Response)
    For this refer below links for step by step

    If you will use IDOC then In IDOC inbound processing you need to trigger for Sales order creation and then have to send the Sales Order generated IDOC as an Outbound to Mail Adapter
    Flat file -
    > XI ---> IDOC
    IDOC -
    > XI ---> Mail
    This will be bit easy scenario to develope as compare to using BAPI with BPM
