Outflow and inflow

Hi:
I "Outflow/Inflow Processing for Canadian Customers of mySAP HR Payroll" document, SAP has mentioned about "Advance wage types and Non-advance wage types" and the decision on whether to use origin principle or influx principle are base on increase or decrease of the advance or non-advance wage types.
Both the advance and non-advance wage types are referred as "cash taxable income" but I haven't been able to understand whats the difference between these two.
Would you please elaborate in detail with examples?
Thanks in advance!

First, I don't recall seeing that document, and it would be great for all if you were to post the hyperlink to it (is it an SAP document?).
Second, our "Advance" WT is a Net Cash Advance, more similar to a Short Term Loan, but if I understand correctly, you refer to Earnings WTs.  A "Non-advance WT" would be any salary or premium for work done, while an "Advance WT" would be an advance on work done but payable at a later date.  An example of such an advance would be the Sales Commission to be paid to a salesperson.  At the end of the current month, the Sales Commission can be calculated but it's amount is not finalized until 3 months later (in case of cancellations and returns), so an Advance on Sales Commission would be considered as taxable income.

  • Non-cumulative Inflow and Outflow explanation

    Hello Everyone,
We are just implementing Inventory reporting in BW and cannot understand query results.  We have searched the forums and documenation, but cannot find an answer.
We have a Non-*** Key Figure that we have defined an Inflow and Outflow for (in the aggregation tab).  Can someone please explain in detail how this Non-*** will be calculated with Inflow and Outflow.
The Non-*** has Aggregation of SUM and exception of LAST
Here are our results (and the Inflow and Outflow KF's are ***)
We have a test query showing the KF for Inflow, KF for Outflow and KF for the Non-*** value.
    The Inflow KF shows 26320
    The Outflow KF shows 12428
The Non-*** KF (with the 2 above Inflow/Outflow) shows 66002
We thought this Non-*** would be calculated as Inflow (minus) Outflow.  So the total of the Non-*** we were expecting 13892.
How does this Non-*** work with Inflow/Outflow?  We can't find anything on this.
    Thanks so much,

  • What is inflow and outflow?

    What is inflow and outflow?

    hi,
for example u take stocks in the godown
what r material coming in to the godown is infow
what r the material going out is outflow
so total stock of the material can br found out based on inflow and outflow
this behavior is mainly seen in inventory management
There are two ways of implementing Non cumulative Key figure...inflow outflow is one way of doing that...mainly used in inventory scenario...take an example...you have issued stock and received stock data coming from R/3...in report you need current stock based on key date ( That may be current date ) so u cant directly subtract the two values and cumulate them because its Non cumulative KF and aggregated in different way.....
To implement this we create infoObject for current stock and check the third option in infoObject " Inflow Outflow" and there u will specify Inflow = received qty and Outflow = Issued qty so this infoObject will always contain difference of these two
current stock = received - issued
Also you initialize the current stock with some value initially

  • Inflow & Outflow

    Hi experts,
What do Inflow and Outflow in Snap shot scenario (Inventory) represents.
Can we consider Inflow as issues and Outflow as Receipts ?

    Hi all,
    Thanks for the reply.
By this can we take the quantity issued from valuated stock as

  • Integrated Planning and Non-cumulative key figure

    Hi
I´m creating an Integrated Planning application and a problem has occurred. The users want to plan on inflow and outflow and at the same time have a row with the total sum in the same layout (they are planning on 0CALMONTH and 0ORGUNIT) This can e.g. be solved through use Web Application Designer with one planning query and one traditional query.
Any way. I have created a non-cumulative key figure with an inflow- and an outflow key figure. The problem is that the non-cumulative key figure starts working first when I change the planning mode from plan status to load status. I could use function modules, to change the status, behind the save button but there are several users who are planning at the same cube at the same time and I don´t want to lock the others from planning.
    How to solve this?
    - Is it possible to restrict the switching, from plan to load, by setting some kind of filter at the users org.unit? (0ORGUNIT is an authorization object)
    - Is it possible to create a process chain and then load the data to another cube for reporting at just this key figure? And also here have a filter at the org.unit
I will gladly get all kind of idea and input to solve this problem. Maybe there is some other way to go than using non-cumulative key figureu2026

    Thanks for your answers
I have tried different scenarios and I will use a u201Dsave-buttonu201D. In the save-button I use the commands SAVE_DATA and EXECUTE_PROCESS_CHAIN. The command u201CEXECUTE_PROCESS_CHAIN starts a process chain that switches from plan mode to load mode and then back to plan mode again.
One new problem has arisen. The non-cumulative key figure is updating if an existing value (inflow- or outflow) is changed. But if an input is made to an empty cell, without value, nothing happen when I press on the start-button. BUT if I refresh the browser the non-cumulative value is updated!!!
Is there any command in WAD that refresh the whole page? If so I can include it in my start-button.
If not, any sugestion on how to solve the problem?
    Best regards
    Mikael

  • Not able to post to customer in Treasury

    Dear Experts,
I have configured a BP to be a customer in CFM. I have entered both House bank and account id for flow type 1105 in pament details tab of interest rate instrument and selected radio button post to customer accounts. When I try to post this flow in tcode TBB1  an error msg "account determination for House bank is missing".
If i select radio button "post to G/L accounts"in the payment details tab of interest rate instrument with the same house bank and account id and execute a test run then no posting errors come up and I can see the debit and credit entry while it is throwing error for the other case.
    Pls advise.
    Rgds
    Komal

    Hi,
    Track your entry as follows:
    1.  Flow type 1105: Check the update type it is assigned to both for inflow and outflow.
    2.  Check the update type assignments to posting specs
    3.  Check the posting specs definition, pick up the account symbol you have used for the bank outflow or inflow spec.
    4.  Check the assignment of the GL account to the account symbol.  Whether you have specified the entire bank GL account or mask correctly.
I am taking it that you have done the FBZP config for the house bank, where the house bank has been defined with the GL account assigned to it in the house bank master.
Other than that there is nothing that should raise this error.
    Cheers.

  • Problem with Inventory compression - 0RT_C01

    Hello experts,
We are in NW04S, implemetation for retail customer.
for inventory data I am using BX, BF and UM datasources.
Now the problem is if I do compression of the dataload at cube <i>(0RT_C01-standard cube for retail</i>) level (as per explained in HOW TO INVENTORY document) I get totally wrong values <i>[for closing balance (0CPTOTSTOBU), Outflow issue(0CPTSTISBU) and inflow reciepts(0CPTSTREBU)]</i>
But values come out correctly if we Dont do the compression at all.
Now my question is, as per How To inventory document we have to do the compression to get right values but if i do so i get wrong data.
But if i dont do the compression I get the right data.
why this is happening.... did anyone faced this kind of issue before?

    Hello Ashu,
    Thanks for your reply.
As you said <i> "0RT_C01 cubes doesn't supports BX data source for Stock Initilization. Instead of it, SAP recommends to use 2Lis_40_s278 for stock inilization."</i>  If SAP doesnt recommend to use BX then why SAP have delivered BX datsource with 0rt_c01?
as you are also using the same cube so are you compressing the data(using marker updates)?? and if yes then are you getting right values after compression??
or you using 2Lis_40_s278 for stock inilization? if yes then is it working fine in your case?
    Thanks
    Jagpreet.

  • Non- Cumulative KeyFigures

    Hello Forum.
We have a non cumulative key figures with and Inflow keyfigure and an outflow with the aggregartion propery to SUM.
Can you please suggest how to verify the output of the non cumulative keyfigure ?
Is there any way to check the values of this non cumulative keyfigure ?
    Thank you in advance .
    Regards

    Hello,
Possible verification methods are described below.
We recommend verification at plant/material number level (MatNo).
    I. Verification of data from the 2LIS_03_BX or 2LIS_40_S278 DataSource
    - Execute a corresponding query in BW.
    - Use transaction code (TAC) LISTCUBE in BW to select the corresponding MatNo or plant (see Note 629451) and compare the data.
-> If problems occur at this point, there may be a BW technology problem (OLAP processor).
    - Now compare the data with R/3 TAC MC.9 and MB5B.
-> If problems occur here, you should also check the PSA contents:
       -> TAC SE16
       -> Table RSTSODS
-> Selection in the ODSNAME field: "2LIS_03_BX*"
-> The ODSNAME_TECH field specifies the name of the database table in the PSA - if there are several hits, you can find the corresponding suffix of the source system in the PSA tree.
       -> TAC SE16
       -> PSA database table
-> Select the data of the corresponding request (you can find this in the InfoCube administration view)
Differences between PSA and InfoCube contents indicate problems in the update (you can use the debugging for the update to check this in more detail).
Differences between PSA and TAC MC.9/MB5B suggest incorrect data extraction. Duplicate or missing stocks indicate technical problems during the data transfer.
    I. Verification of data from the 2LIS_03_BF/UM DataSource
    - Execute a corresponding query in BW.
    - Select the corresponding MatNo or plant in BW using TAC LISTCUBE (see Note 629451) and compare the data.
-> If problems occur at this point, this suggests a BW technology problem (OLAP processor).
    - Now compare the data with the R/3 TAC MC.9
    - If there is a difference between the stocks, compare the movements, preferably take of note of the month in question and whether it is a receipt or an issue.
    - Now compare TAC LISTCUBE in BW with TAC MB5B in R/3, a comparison for exact days should identify incorrect, duplicate or missing documents (select the "Valuated stock" option in TAC MB5B to find records in the BW where the storage location is empty)
    - Now check in which format the document number is found in the PSA.
-> In this case also, the reason may be an error in the update or problems in the data extraction.
Consider the logic for determining the transaction keys of receipts/issues (Note 492828).

  • Quantity Total Stock is incorrect in the report

0TOTALSTCK (Quantity Total Stock) is a non-cumulative key figure in the standard cube 0IC_C03 (Material Movements). The user is running a report for September month (01.09.2008 to 30.09.2008). At the end of the month i.e., 30.09.2008 the total stock is 0 in R/3, But in the BW reoprt it is showing as -19,000 which is incorrect.
How can I check how the that value is calculated in the report? I can't see that key figure in the Infocube content preselection screen. In the definition of key figure,  it is calculated throgh Inflow and Outflow and mentioned arregation as Summation and Exception aggregation as Last Value. Is it correct? It should be linked with 0CALDAY for checking the stock day by day. How does it know?
Any setting has to be done in the Report in order to get the correct values for the total stock qty?
    Please reply asap.

    Shiva,
Inventory is calculated as a non cumulated KF which is aggregated based on stock receipts and stock outflows based on an opening stock marker. Think of this as something like a bank passbook where only debits and credits are entered and accordingly the balance is calculated. The Brought Forward line on your passbook is similar to the marker where once a page is completed the last available balance is updated.....
only things which are not to be done in MM are :
    1. Compression without marker update - this corrupts the MM stock values.
Also make sure you update the marker properly. The only solution to your case would be to do a full recon between the cube / R/3 and accordingly re-init / update the marker etc.

  • Non cumulative with non cumulative value change

    hi,
can any one tell the concept of non cumulative with non cumulative value change with an example with numbers,i am bit confused .
like we have for non *** inflow and outflow- stocks inflow and outflow so non *** is based on inflow and inflow.
in the same way any example for above concept

    Hi Venkat,
If I under stand your question correctly you wish to have an example of where non cumulative values are used and you have given the value of stock? If so here is an example with figures
So you would do an initial load loading the opening balances of Stock.
    Say material number 12345 = 100 units
After that, only movements will be posted so Stock will either increase or decrease depending on what image is posted via the change log.
So there will be a purchase of material 12345 for 50 units so now the balance of material is 150.
But then you could use or sell 70 units of material 12345 so you stock value would be 80 units
I hope this makes sense and this is an example that you are after if not please let me know and I'm happy to help

    Ben

  • Grouping of payment requests for Wire transfer  in f110

    Hi Gurus
Please let me know how to Group the payment requests which has Wire transfer as the payment method.
Actually can we group the payment requests for the Wire transfer payment method
I have to show the balance carried forward for the payment advice by grouping them.
If you know solution please let me know.
    Thanks in advance
    Meenkashi

Meenakshi, You can group the payment request with payment  method 'wire'. For grouping them you have to fulfill the following criteria:
    1. On the payment method the 'single payment' should not be checked. This is normally the case and in most situations people realize this after lot of failed efforts to find why it is not grouping.
    2. On the Business Partner master data you should not have checked 'individual payment' in the 'Payment details' TAB under each company code.(BP role 'Counterparty'
3.In the FRFT screen (if you are doing bank-to-bank transfers and for which you don't need Business Partners) the 'individual payment' should not be checked
    4. Onthe BP master data, if you  select 'same direction' payment requests flowing in one direction (outflow or inflow) can only be grouped. sometime you would need to group both inflow and outflow (for e.g. In case of commercial paper when you invest, you have to pay only the net amount (Principal - Interest). However SAP generates two different flows - Principal which is outflow, Interest which is inflow.)
    5. On the Transaction, in the Payment details TAB you have a slew of options to group - All within Treasury can be grouped, All of a Product category can be grouped, Only flows from an ID no. etc. etc.
    6. On the transaction again in the payment details TAB see to it and that you have not checked 'individual payment'.
    Hope this helps

  • Net Revenue Report

How do you get statement of net revenue in SAP. Is there a report for it or do we need to create one. The report should show the revenues, minus the expenses and should also have Budget Authorized and Budget Balance fields in the report
Also need to confirm , is the cash flow statement is the same as the cash based report

In order to get the net revenue I am afraid there is not a standard report that could give you that. You may need to create a custom report using report painter, drill down reporting or ABAP programming.
In regards to your second question I don't think they are the same thing. Cash report should show the Bank cash inflow, outflow and commitments . The standard Cash Flow Statements is more at higher level and combines Balance Sheet and P/L accounts.
    Hopes this helps to clarify.

  • Doubts in bi

    Hi friends,
what is invantory data sources in bi any one send me documentation
wat is the cumulative key figures and open close balance in bi.
    Regards.

    Hi Gayatri,
What Prasad has said explains clearly on Inventory data sources which should be loaded to inventory overview cube 0ic_c03.
To load the three LO cockpit data sources with index03 you need to follow the steps sequentially.
    1. Fill set up tables from the stock initialisation data source 2lis_03_BX through TCODE MCNB
    2. Fill set up tables from stock movements data source 2 lis_03_BF through TCODE OLI1BW.
    3. Fill set up tables from stock revaluation  data source 2 lis_03_UM through TCODE OLIZBW.
In the business content cube 0ic_c03 you will have around 8 special type key figures on stock qty and value which are Noncumulative key figure with inflow and outflow. Inflow are receipts KF infoobjects and Outflows are Issues KF infoobjects . These non cumulative keyfigures comes with the infocubes when you run query on it but you can not display those data of the cube as they are stored in L-Table. Inflo and outflow keyfigure objects gets upate from the source fields and they are displayed when you do display data flow.
For example stock in quality inspection(current) = stock in quality inspection (previous) +receipt in QI(inflow)-issues from QI(outflow).
Actually in Inventory scenario most important is the concept of Non-cumulative key figure. Cumultaive key figures are generally what the key figures are.
