OutOf memory(many solutions to handle heapspace.but my problem is)

Hi ALL,
I had seen many solutions to handle heapspace/out of memory in this forum like from command prompt
java _xmx1g my.jar
and if to set for server edit catalina.bat/sh
But my problem is i had executable jar and which will run on a single click.
so i will not use command prompt or any server.
Do we have any optin to set memory size in env variable.
As i dint find any option like Runtime.setMemorySize().
Please send me reply if any of u find solution for this.

so now i have one solution. If anybody know something about

Don´t use the attribute "monitorValid = true"
This option will grow up the memroy usage of the air app
every time without an interaction in the application.
Another point is. In my application with the hang problem i
have a tabpanel where i can dynamically add tabs, more and more.
Not the memory is the problem. The Problem is if you open and close
tabs to fast and to much (over 15 at one time) the application will
be slower and slower and than hang on.
The biggest problem is: I close a Tab. But the air
application does not release some memory. No, the close event grow
up the memory. Thats a big problem.

It is possible to release some memory. Unused variable have
set to null and an air.System.gc(); will remove the trash. trash =
a variable who is null.
I actually test this thing to release some memory if a tab is
closed.
If i test it successfully i will post it.
Does anybody has another idea to this problem.
PS: Is the way with air.System.gc(); the right way to remove
some trash variables and is it right to set unused vars to null to
get them free?

I should add that this has never been Jailbroken. I keep reading that a lot of times this is the case for a jail broken phone.
I have also gone through the not very helpfull steps on apples site to fix this.. It is not a security issue since i dont have an antivirus or any 3rd party software for my computer.

Not enough memory to install more here maps (but I...

I have an annoying issue with my new Lumia 925. I extra bought the 32gb version to have plenty enough space for all the maps. (I stored the whole world on "Nokia Karten" on my old symbian N8)
But now when I want to install more Maps it tells me that I do need 11.240MB (so more then 11GB!) of free space. even If I only want to add a small map of 40MB
Noticable is that indeed i already have downloaded approx. 11GB of maps on my lumia 925.
So far it looks like that the programm wants to have the same amount of memory as free space on the device as the amount of already installed maps is. ???
How to avoid that ?
But that must be a mistake as my Symbian N8 had no such limitations. There on the symbian system however there was a setting possible to tell the phone how much storage of the card it is allowed to consume to store maps. E.g. you could do a setting that 90% of teh capacity of the card (or the internal memory by the way) can be used for the maps.
I found no similar switch in here Maps on the Lumia ???
So does anybody know how I can use my approx 11GB of free memory on my Lumia 925 to store further cards. ?

Well of course a 64GB SD would be solution for everything. Unfortunately not possible.
I clearly thought about the Pro and Cons of the Lumia 925.
Negative indeed is that the 32GB version is the maximum. On the other hand I calculated before the purchase if 32gb will be sufficient. And I came to conclusion that 32GB is sufficient compared my memory demands on symbian Nokia N8.
But I never thought about an issue like that for maps installed on the system there is the same amount of free memory needed to install more maps.
Is there a solution to this Bug ? The Nokia Support so far (tried it only in Germany) is a bit helpless
PS. Hopefully the Update function will still work when afterwards I do use the "free" memory for other data. Deleting and Reinstalling is not an option because I found no way like previously on the N8 for with the Nokia Suite to download everything overnight automatically. In the Lumia I have to manually select every map on its own.
Nevermind: The Look and Fell of the Lumia & Windows Phone is much better then my Symbian N8 (and faster, way faster). But it is really more complicated and has Limitations Symbian did not have had.

An Application of Webservices developed in Jdeveloper 10.1.2.2.0 and has been Deployed on Oracle Application Server 10g.
Problem has been faced when the requests sent by the client program and no of requests increased to 1600 (estimated requests), then it shows the below error.
ASOAPException:faultcode=SOAPENV:Server; msg=ajava.lang.outof Memory Error”
Please guide us to resolve this irritating issue.

Hi.
First - I'd try to raise the application's -Xmx to something more than 32M. perhaps 64M.
Now, there are two possible causes here:
1 - your application is working ok, but it needs more memory than what the JVM can provide it with at a point of time. If that's the case - raising the -Xmx for the application will take care of it. (This is assuming there are no memory leaks in it).
2 - your application has memory leaks in it - fix it.
You can't catch OutOfMemory - it's not an exception raised in your program. It's raised in the JVM.

I could sell SAP B1 to a prospect if someone could help me put together a solution. In essence this distrubtor picks up fresh fruits and vegetables as cases, cartons, boxes, eaches etc, but nothing is barcoded. This prospect is losing money, he does not know if some items were distributed and not invoiced, or if few boxes fell down and got destroyed or for that matter stolen etc.
Can someone experienced propose a suitable solution to handle this?
a) Is there an elegant iPAD based web application that has nice pictures drawn like vegetables, fruits they are click and enter a weight or boxes or some unit that gets transofrmed into daily purchase orders on SAP B1?
b) Any audio that we can talk into and gets converted into SAP B1 purchase records?
At the end of the day, he wants to reconcile the inventory and invoices etc. I believe, if the purchase data is input then rest of the things are easy. He sure is frustrated with lack of control he has now as he does not see the big picture.
What do you suggest? how to handle it?
Please provide me with an add on and integration software that would be necessary to put it all together.

I am having an applet which displays some tiff image. when i am trying to print that image , iam getting OutOf Memory exception ....
I increased heap size by setting the environment variable...
i.e Variable : JAVA_OPTS
Value : -Xms128m -Xmx 512m
Even though i increased the heap size, i am getting the same exception...

I can confirm the problem you are hitting. The XML test trace does not get recognized at all, and it defaults to Eclipse's basic Open File behaviour. I am not sure if it's because the format definition is missing, or if it's because something prevents the trace type from being recognized. I will open a bug about it.

I'm not sure I understand the question, is the message tone going more then once?
Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never
Some people have found this does not stop the repeat miessage tone,

The problem is that every time I try to open any program from Office 2011, I immediately get the following window, for example for Word: "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This happens each and every time I try to open Word or other Office 2011 component.
Thinking it might be a licensing issue, I purchased and downloaded a new copy of Office 2011 from Amazon and installed it on my new MBP. Same issue once again.
I tried to remove all copies of Office 2011 from the MBP, but the instructions provided by Microsoft required about three page and seventeen steps and the page was somehow corrupted and would not print in its entirety, nor would it e-mail as anything other than a link to the corrupted page. Not trusting my memory, I decided not to try this without adult supervision.
I used Disk Utility to repair Disk Permissions, as described on an existing thread regarding the same problem, but to no avail.
I removed and later replaced the "Microsoft User Data" folder from the Documents folder, but that was no help.
I have copied the short version of the "Microsoft Error Reporting log version: 2.0," below, for those of you with a deeper knowledge of the internal workings, or non-workings of things Mac when crossed with things MS.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Whew.... got it to work after days of trying to figure.

Wiped phone completely, restored as NEW iphone through itunes. Checked 'Sync all Music'.
After that happens you can restore from backup.
