Overcharged and was credited then charged back.

Last month I decided to add a fifth line to my family plan. Went into a premium retailer got phone and then decided I did not want phone. Never had phone in my possession. The specialist called and deactivated the phone. The I got charge the early term fee and a lot of other fees. Verizon credited my account over 200.00 for all these charges, then charged me over 250.00 under Verizon surcharges and other fees. I have talked and talked to Verizon and retail store. Does anyone have any idea to help me get these charges off my bill. Have been with Verizon over one 1/2 years and service is great. I like that they should of never charged all charged to begin with. And then to have then charge them back was not right either.  Can someone please give me some advice. Was told to call customer loyalty and talk to them or financial services( yea like that helped. Credited last months bill and all owed was 39.00, then this month added all back on know have over 500.00 cell bill. I would leave if didn't  get good service.

I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be to have unanticipated charges on your billing statement and I welcome the opportunity to assist you in resolving this issue. 
We would need to take a look at your account to see why  you were billed these fees. However, if you purchased your phone at an indirect store, as budone mentioned, you would need to go back to the store where the device was purchased. If you purchased the phone at a Verizon Wireless store please send me a private message with your name and mobile so I can access your account. I'll be more then happy to assist you in getting this resolved as soon as possible.

    If the damage is due to a manufacturing defect, they will unquestionably replace it.  If the damage was caused by misuse or mishandling, such as dropping, Apple is obliged to do nothing.  Your best bet is to go to the Genius bar at an Apple store and explain what happened, perhaps they will replace the iPod.  Also, If you bought your iPod with a credit card, check with your card company.  Some cards provide Purchase Protection insurance which will replace or repair any item lost, stolen or damaged within 90 days of purchase.

    It's likely that your Library database has been damaged in all the crashing.
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

    I was overcharged during a purchase at Best Buy. I was told that I would be getting a refund in 7-14 business days and it has been well over that and I have received no refund. I have receipts, bank statements, and even the Best Buy points in my account page to prove that I am owed a refund. What is my next step?

    I brought my Ipod and laptop with me to beijing this summer. the rule of thumb is that if the plug you use has some large blocky piece to it (think of the white wall plug adapter for your ipod, the blocky plug on your cell phone charger, or the big brick that is a part of your laptop power cord) then it should handle the different voltage (assuming the company was smart about designing their product). but if its just a tiny little plug (curling iron for example) then it is risky.
    the wall plugs can handle all types of plugs though, they look sort of like

    and you can actually just push the ipod charger right into the top part. SO it is entirely possible to bring a curling iron, plug it right into the wall, and ruin it... but from experience, ipods and laptops will be fine.

    Try deleting your last backup by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.  If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

    Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
    Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

  • VZW sucks, after overcharging me for four months they issued a credit and then charged me for that credit the following month and 2 cost service reps and one supv can't figure out why...THEY SUCK

    Does anyone else find it odd VZW starts every conversation with the standard "this call may be recorded" line, but if you imply you are recording them, they freak out and go silent.  It's amazing they never want to stand by what they say.  I was overcharged and basically screwed for four months, they then issues me a credit and then CHARGED me for that credit the following month.  I explained it in their second grade terms so they could understand and still NO ONE gets it.
