Override rates

Question

Hi guys,
I'm kind of stuck here. I have to override some values in the Equity section, that will be translated with an historical rate (that's how the accounting team works).
I have already input the historical rate (account "HRate"). However, my calculation is not working; there's not translation at all.
Sub Translate()
    Dim aList, aItem
    aList  = HS.Account.List("","AcctsEquity") => It's a user-defined member list
    For each aItem in aList
        HS.Trans "A#"&aItem&,"","HRate",""
    Next
End Sub
Could you please help me to validate this calc? I'm thinking in creating an additional account to store the data, but not quite sure if that's a good practice for overrides.

Hi Jai
Not sure what is causing yours not to work, is it loading ok? perhaps the member list is not being called?
We have a similar routine but instead of a member list we use the UD1 field to tag the relevant accounts with the relevant fx rate accounts like so:
Sub Translate()
'This script translates UD1 specified Balance Sheet accounts using historical override rates
If HS.Entity.UD1("")= "FXType1" Then
HRate1 = HS.GetRate("A#HISTRate1")
AccList = HS.Account.List("","UsesHISTRate1")
For each Acc in AccList
  HS.Trans "A#"& Acc&".C4#", "A#"& Acc&".C4#", HRate1, ""
Next
End If
End Sub
