Override rates

Hi guys,
I'm kind of stuck here. I have to override some values in the Equity section, that will be translated with an historical rate (that's how the accounting team works).
I have already input the historical rate (account "HRate"). However, my calculation is not working; there's not translation at all.
Sub Translate()
    Dim aList, aItem
    aList  = HS.Account.List("","AcctsEquity") => It's a user-defined member list
    For each aItem in aList
        HS.Trans "A#"&aItem&,"","HRate",""
    Next
End Sub
Could you please help me to validate this calc? I'm thinking in creating an additional account to store the data, but not quite sure if that's a good practice for overrides.
Thanks!
Jai

Hi Jai
Not sure what is causing yours not to work, is it loading ok? perhaps the member list is not being called?
We have a similar routine but instead of a member list we use the UD1 field to tag the relevant accounts with the relevant fx rate accounts like so:
Sub Translate()
'This script translates UD1 specified Balance Sheet accounts using historical override rates
If HS.Entity.UD1("")= "FXType1" Then
HRate1 = HS.GetRate("A#HISTRate1")
AccList = HS.Account.List("","UsesHISTRate1")
For each Acc in AccList
  HS.Trans "A#"& Acc&".C4#", "A#"& Acc&".C4#", HRate1, ""
Next
End If
End Sub
you could try that?

  • Valuation Basis for Different Payment (BWGRL) not working in 2010

    Hi
We have a commission wagetype which we entered in IT 2010 in Number/Unit field.
Since we don't have premium id available, we used "Valuation Basis for Different Payment (BWGRL)"  to enter the RATE.
This RATE is not working during our payroll run, however when we are using the wagetype with premium ID it is working fine.
My question is- What could be the reason that the Valuation Basis for different payment is not working ?
I checked the wagetype in V_512W_B table and it has the following configuration-
    Current wage type
    Valuation Basis = BLANK
    Statement/WT = BLANK
    %Rate = 100
    1st derived wage type
    Valuation Basis = BLANK
    Statement/WT = BLANK
    %Rate = BLANK
    2nd derived wage type
    Valuation Basis = BLANK
    Statement/WT = BLANK
    %Rate = BLANK
Would appreciate if the the fix could be provided.
    Saurabh Garg

    Hello,
I think in your case for commision wagetype you need to modify rule $930 to process the override rate from Infotype 2010 BWGRL field in case you are using the US standard schema.
The valuation basis table V_512W_D and rule $930 together will determine the valuation basis.
The default valuation basis comes from table V_512W_D.In case you want to override the valuation basis rate defined in this table, you need to maintain override rate in It2010 and accordingly have the logic defined in rule $930 for that particular wagetype .
Following is the sample rule definition for a similar scenario.
    ****(commision wagetype)
      NUM= ANZHL Set
      RTE= BWGRL Set
      RTE?0      Comparison
          MULTI NRA  Multipl.amt/no/rate
          SETIN X=NX Set variable split
          ADDWT *    OT   Output table
        =
          VALBS0     Eval.0.WT in 512W
          MULTI NRA  Multipl.amt/no/rate
          SETIN X=NX Set variable split
          ADDWT *    OT   Output table

  • How to make the Billing extension to override the defined rate schedules

    Hi,
By using the billing extension, i am able to generate the events at top-task level and also generating the draft invoice/revenue amounts.
But the problem is, if any bill rates are defined for the expenditure item means, draft invoice/revenue amount is duplicating.
It is the sum of my calculations in my billing extension and the calculations of the (expenditure item * bill rate).
My billing extension is not able to override the defined rate schedules.
Please let me know, how should i make my billing extension to override the defined rate schedules.
    Thanks in advance,
    Janardhan
    Edited by: 901259 on Dec 11, 2011 11:11 PM

    Hi Dina,
Thanks for your inputs.I have tried with the Event/Event as you specified. It is working. Now my i am able to disregard the expenditure items hours multiplied by bill rates and generate the events with my billing extension calculations only.
But i need to handle one more thing as per my requirement.
User to be restricted in such way that, draft revenue has to be generated before to the draft invoice(Same as Work/Work) through my billing extension.
    How can i achieve it.
The revenue_distribution_flag is not updating from 'N' to 'Y' even after the generation of the draft revenue as you mentioned when i follow the Event/Event.
Is there any way to the restrict the user in generating the draft revenue prior to the draft invoice by using EI's.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Janardhan.

  • Ex Rate Type EURX overriding Type M

Why does the Type EURX exchange rate for USD/EUR conversion override the Type M rate for USD/EUR ?
Is there a way to make the Type M rate the dominant rate ?

I found out that the TCURF table has a field called "Alternate Exchange Rate" and this was populated with "EURX" for Type M , USD/EUR conversion.
Removing the EURX as Alternate Exchange Rate allows Type M to be used instead of EURX.

  • Tax override in SRM

    Dear Team,
I have an issue in SRM purchase order where user says that Tax determined by external Tax system for particular case is not correct and tax needs to be manually overwritten,
The requirement is for US region and the Tax is calculated by external system - Taxware based on Ship to address Tax jurisdiction code. Based on Tax jurisdiction code the Tax calculated by Taxware is 6% but for the specific PO as per user the tax applicable is 1.875%. So business is asking for new custom field in SC/PO to enter manually the Tax rate and this tax rate should override the value proposed by external system.
So If any one has faced the same scenario and have proposed solution for it. please let me know your pointer on this
    Thanks

    Hi Rajesh,
have you tried BBP_DET_TAXCODE_BADI and BBP_TAX_MAP_BADI BADIs?

  • EFI Bios overriding installer - Malware ?

Hi, it seems there's something living in this machine's bios.  After numerous system reinstall attempts (including full drive format using a linux bootable USB to force a DD wipe), and installing from the internet issues persist.  The Machine (Macbook Pro 10.1) otherwise is in perfect condition.  I've tried to do pram / nvram resets multiple times, i've flushed EFI also, before trying to load a new os onto a wiped hard drive - issue persists.  I have a feeling that it resides somewhere in bluetooth firmware / or uses it for persistence.. Please Help ?   '

Stuff like this - this is a brand new install (with an upgrade to mavericks from original Lion internet install that the hardware came with)

Hi, thanks for your response.  Yep certificate issue i've resolved - the serial number was also wiped.  I've reinstated the serial as per back our macbook, and things are looking much better.  However, it's still not right.  For example I can not see or connect to the MacBook from iPhone over Bluetooth.  Macbook sees the iPhone, but not the other way (even though discovery is turned on).  Attempt to connect doesn't work.   PAN is enabled.  There's also a flood of these in the logs:

  • How Can I change my refresh rate to 75hz for on LCD using 91.47 drivers?

    HI,
I use a 19" LCD and have always changed my refresh rate to 75hz to avoid ghosting in games like fifa 06 (60hz causes a nasty ghost on my 8ms panel).  I have been using the 81.98 drivers and could create an override to use 75.   The new driver will allow me to change the refresh rate to 75, but will not let me use it - I get the message "The custom resolution cannot be added".   I have coolbits2 installed.  Is there a registry setting that I can add to allow me to change the refresh rate?  If not, I'll just go back to the 81.98.  I am also using the DVI connection.
    Thank you,
    * This is on my Sli PC in my sig. *

I know that on my particular LCD monitor, if I go above the recommended rates, then the screen will just go black and won't let me see anything.  Usually it displays a message telling me that it cannot display.  I think it especially does this with the DVI connection.
You may have tried it allready, but just make sure that in your display properties you have unchecked the option to only display resolutions allowed by the monitor.
You may also want to try and see if it will let you do it with a VGA connection instead of the DVI.
Otherwise, you just may have to go back to the earlier driver.

  • Xorg and refresh rates

I'm running Solaris Express 10 x86 4/05 on a Dell Optiplex GX260. Xorg refuses to give me a refresh rate higher than 60Hz. This is using the i810 driver but it also happens with the VESA driver. Here's my xorg.conf:

    Thanks.

I upped the log verbosity on Xorg and checked the Xorg.0.log file. I found some interesting things.
    First, I found this line:
(II) I810(0): Will use BIOS call 0x5f05 to set refresh rates for CRTs.
    Later on, I found these:
(WW) I810(0): Extended BIOS function 0x5f05 not supported.
(II) I810(0): BIOS call 0x5f05 not supported, setting refresh with VBE 3 method.
(WW) I810(0): Set VBE Mode rejected this modeline.
    Trying standard mode instead!
Presumably, "standard mode" is an eye-watering 60Hz.
This is on a Dell Optiplex GX260 with BIOS revision A09. The video chipset is an onboard Intel 82845 and the driver is Xorg's i810.
Everything works fine with Sun's X server. I get a nice 87Hz refresh at 1024x768. I'm surprised that Xorg can't set the refresh on this machine. It's listed as Test Suite Level 2 certified in the HCL. Unless somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong here, I'm going to post this incompatibility as a comment on the HCL.

  • Extended Withholding Tax Rate change at invoice Level

    Hello Every One
We are implementing Extended Witholding TAx in US.
    How can i achieve Below
    Requirement 1:
At the time of invoice the business want to override the Tax rate, but i am not sure how it will happen since tax rate % is defined in tax codes and tax codes are assigned in the vendor master?  The reason for this is that if one vendor has existence in two different countries  then our company will with held tax at different rate.
My Solution: I will define one tax code with 100% rate and then if the that vendor has to be deducted at 30% rate. Then in the vendor master in the exemption % field they can put 70%, so at the time of invoice it will be calculated 30%, but the draw back of this is that it has to be maintained by the master data team  and the invoice clerk cannot do it right away if the requirement gets changed. (if someone has other than this please let me know)
    Requirement 2:
How we can with hold tax at line item level, is it possible?
for example if we receive an invoice from a vendor for 2000$. Out of 2000$ $1200 is belong to service which is taxable and 800$ is belong Material which is not taxable.
    Requirement 3.
What will be the configuration setups of with holding tax account in FS03
    Best Regards

  • Abstract Method Overriding Problem

I have an abstract class called "Employee" with an abstract method called "ReturnBasicInfo()" defined.
I have two subclasses, SalariedEmployee and HourlyEmployee, and each has their own version of ReturnBasicInfo(). The compiler is not letting me do this, however, and I have no idea why.
    I keep getting this error:
SalariedEmployee.java:6: SalariedEmployee is not abstract and does not override
abstract method returnBasicInfo() in Employee. The abstract method signature is this:
public abstract String returnBasicInfo(Employee e);Any idea why this might be happening? I have another abstract method called toVector() that's overriden in the subclasses and that one works fine, so I'm stumped on this. The only difference between the two is that this method takes arguments and the other doesn't. Is that why it can't be overriden?
Thanks in advance for any help!

"...In the instructor's example code, he actually
overrode toString with this method. I thought I might
be using the real toString(), though, so that's why I
changed the name to returnBasicInfo(). I didn't end up
using toString(), though. Maybe I ought to go back to
    calling it toString()..."
Yes, this SHOULD be overridden in toString(). Do go
    back to it.
The "real" toString()? Do you mean the default
version in java.lang.Object, the one that just prints
out the object reference when it's called?
Hmm, I guess. I got confused because I'm swapping between String and double values a lot. Taking in an entered number as a String and converting it to a double.
I think I originally confused toString() with String.valueOf().
I wouldn't have getYearlySalary() for SalariedEmployee
    and getHourlySalary() for HourlyEmployee. That
defeats the purpose of polymorphism and dynamic
typing. Yes, but I do have one polymorphic method --pay(). Each Employee is paid a different way. The one method we were supposed to be able to call on all Employees is just pay(). There is one version of pay() for HourlyEmployees that uses gethourly_rate() and gethours_worked() to get hourly rate and hours worked. The other version of pay() in SalariedEmployees takes in their yearly salary and number of pay periods worked.
Better to have a getSalary() method in your
Employee interface and let each subclass implement it
the way they want to. SalariedEmployee will return
their yearly salary, HourlyEmployee will return
    hourlySalary*hoursWorkedOK, that's one idea.
But darnit, I would still like to know how to get my original design to work. So I should change returnBasicInfo() to toString(), you think?

  • JScrollPane - Set the rate of the mouse wheel for scrolling

    Hi,
I'm curious to know a little more about the mouse wheel used for scrolling in a JScrollPane. I'm using it for a JTextComponent at the moment, but the scroll rate is really slow.
Is this because of the way swing deals with the mouse wheel, and therefore can I increase the rate of scroll?
Or is it to do with the native OS and the way it processes mouse wheel events?
    Cheers,
    David

    Hey John,
Scroll rate has nothing to do with the OS you'll be glad to know. As far as Swing goes, it doesn't in this case make any assumptions on how you want you 'views' to scroll.
I think LookAndFeel implementations often decide on default behaviour - I suppose this is in essence the whole point of the pluggable LnF framework.
Anyway, JTextComponent is an abstract class so I would not be surprised if it performs like a lame duck! You will however notice that it implements the Scrollable interface. Take a look at Scrollable.getScrollableBlockIncrement() and Scrollable.getScrollableUnitIncrement().
Overriding these methods will give you the behaviour you desire.
    Warm regards,
    Darren B

  • Progressive frame rate

This is my first foray into HD, so my apology for this rudimentary question.
How can I tell if an HD footage is progressive or interlaced?
I have 30min worth of HDCAM. The post house that did the transfer told me that they're 1080p25 (I have no reason to doubt them). I'm just curious if there's any way I can double-check to make sure that they're 25p and not 25i.
I imported a sample clip into FCP and looked under 'Item Properties'. I only saw the following data but no mentioning of whether it's progressive or interlaced:
    Vid Rate: 25fps
    Frame Size: 1920 x 1080
    Compressor: Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2
    Pixel Aspect: Square
    Field Dominance: Upper (Odd)
By the way, does progressive video have a field dominance?
    Thanks,
    td

Thanks for the detailed answer. I'm based in Vietnam and none of the local post houses have much experience in doing progressive HD since most of their work is for TVCs. I had to go to Bangkok to do the full-grade transfer (from 35mm) to HDCAM and conform in FCP. I specifically asked for 25P frame rate because this will finish in film. I wonder if they messed up (I hope that's not the case).
I just need to clarify a few things.
The reason my question came up was because as I understand it, progressive video should have no field dominance. Is this correct?
All these footages have Upper field dominance. Is this a definite indication that they're interlaced? Are there any type of HD that has an Upper field dominance?
I did a few test and got mixed result. But I'm not sure if this is because my system is not set up to do anything more than DV, and I don't have a 1080p25 Codec in my system. These are the tests I did:
Since the post house has a more recent version of FCP than I do, they gave me an XML file of the conformed project. I imported the XML, with the 'Override with setting from XML' box checked. Everything is red on the timeline, even after I changed all the timeline's settings to match the footages' settings.
However, when I create a new project, set the Sequence Settings to 1920x1080, Square pixel, Upper Field Dominance, Compressor as Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2. Import a clip directly into the FCP project and place it on this time line. It's gray.
I created a new timeline with same setting, except for Field Dominance set to NONE, the clip is still gray when placed on the timeline.
On the other hand, when I looked at one of the footages at full-size, frame by frame, on my Cinema display (I don't have an HD broadcast monitor), the edges look pretty sharp. For ex. I have a shot of a swish pan following a car speeding across the screen. There are some horizontal streaks in the background, but these look like motion blurs rather than interlaced artifacts. The edge of the car is sharp, with no jaggy. This seems to indicate that it's progressive.
My big worry is that the post house did the transfer (to tape) at 25P, but captured at 50i or 25i by mistake. Then again, if the Codec on the footages says Uncompressed 8-bit, then the captured footages should be the same as what's on the master tape, shouldn't it?
I'm thoroughly confused at this point. Anything that helps to shed light on this would be greatly appreciated.
I apologize for the lengthy note, but I figured it may help to give some backgrounds on the project. I need to get this sorted out before going online. This could be a very costly fix, especially since I'm paying for this film out of my own pocket. But at least if I catch it on time, I can minimize the damage.
    Thanks again.
