  • I need the right plug in for my online tech training course--HELP!

I need the right plug in for my online tech training course--it requires Macropedia Flash Player 8 and Internet Exploder 8 (but worked with my Safari ver 5.06). I updated my iMac software and Acrobat application software and now it won't show the study material nor animations.... I have MacOSX ver 10.5.8, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB 667 MHz and Acrobat X.   How do I get back to what I had previously?!? PS: my Time Machine is not setup so that won't do the trick this time...

  • IT BEEN A MONTH WITHOUT PS CC AND CANNOT GET TECH SUPPORTHELP

I have been using PS since the beginning. I now have joined the masses and subscribe to PS CC. It does not bother me to pay a monthly fee. What does bother me is Adobe Tech support SUCKS.
I was in India the first 2 weeks in Nov and took 4,980 pic. I have been post processing them since I came home. I use plug-ins Nik and Topaz.  On Dec. 1 my computer went to the “blue screen”. When I rebooted in the safe mode, all my programs came back ok and things seemed to work. However all versions of my PS ( I have CS5, CS6 and CC) would load and then I would get a windows message “that PS had stopped working and was closing”. So I started the calls to Adobe and finally on Dec 3, I worked with a tech, of course in India, for 2 hours, He took me through soooooooo many things. The bottom line was, he was not able to get PS CS 6 back into the Creative Cloud Desktop App. He COULD NOT get the CC app to load. He said he would escalate the problem and someone would call within 2-4 days. To date Dec, 18 no one has called, I have however called THREE MORE times. Yesterday, I asked to speak to an Adobe team supervisor and again promised someone would call me…AND THEY DID NOT.
In the meantime, I think I found the reason why my computer crashed…it was the Nik plug-in. The tech on Dec 3 had done an Adobe cleaner and all my Preset & plugin I had to put back. When I loaded Nik and used Color Efex I got the error message as above. So I uninstalled it and got in touch with Nik. They had me upgrade my video card and several other things to no avail.
So I called on Dec, got a Supervison who PROMISED ME on his mothers grave that I would get a callback in 15 min.! NEVER DID
Today, all I want is my PS CC back… finish my post processing of my India photos and then I will tackle the possibility of a computer problem and reformatting my hard drive…I work for a computer company so it can be done.

    Hello
I had exactly this problem. In the end i used the online service and they fixed it for me. It was something to do with how the data was set up on my computer and they remotely accessed my computer fixing the issue for me. It was all very complex and they were very good at sorting it, highly recommended.
Took them about half hour in total

  • Displaying Custom Infotype in the Overview Section of LSO_PV10 and LSO_PV1A

    Dear experts,
We would like to display the custom IT in the Overview Section of Create Course Run (LSO_PV10) and Change Course Run (LSO_PV1A) screen. User currently can create and edit some standard ITs from this overview section.
Currently, the custom IT has been built and configured to Object Course (E). It can be displayed from PP01 when choosing Object E.
How can we display the custom infotype to the standard Create Course Run (LSO_PV10) / Change Course Run screen (LSO_PV1A) Overview area?
    Many Thanks!
    Regards,
    Ripin

    Hai,
I also faced your problem. I created business event. but when i am checking the business event, but results nil. But system is showing no. for that it is not showing object and relation.
For that i create again object and realationships for that event. Automatically, system overlap that event.
it it is helpful or not, i don't know. If it is helpful , do like that way.
    Thanks

  • Thumbnail instead of icon.

How can I get a thumbnail picture to identify each video clip on the media screen rather than the generic icon of a clip of film?

Never be intimidated by Premiere Elements.
When I first got into "Elements" over ten years ago (never been there and done that ever before), I did that to find a way to repair a damaged photo of my late brother-in-law. Enter Photoshop Elements 3.0 into my life. Then that lured me into Premiere Elements 2.0. Then I got really worried and was overwhelmed "What have I gotten myself into?" I have never regretted the stick-to-it-tiveness approach and learning from whatever free sources I could find using large doses of exploration and experimentation and not always accepting the pat one line answers.

  • JOIN/QUERY/VIEW Help

Hi guys, i'm new to the forum. currently i'm taking a computer information tech diploma course and am in entry level database.
Ive struggled my way through this assignment.. I don't want free answers but im done everything except one view and a bonus question. Can someone help me ? not just the answer but an explination.. I'm finding Joins and Subqueries very hard to wrap my head around.. anyways here are the two questions:
    6) To help the front desk clerk do guest billings, [a - 6 marks, b - 2 marks]
    (a) create a view to calculate the account (i.e. running total todate) for each guest at the Grosvenor Hotel; the view should include the room number, guest name, check-in date, check-out date (today), room rate, the duration in days, and the calculated total dollars
    (b) write a SELECT query to demonstrate your view (Use 2007-10-09 as current date if needed).
Optional Bonus Question: up to 10 marks but restricted by allowable maximum for course:
    7) Find the most commonly booked room type(s) for each hotel in London? For each hotel, list the hotel number, room type and the number of bookings.
Here are the tables, let me know if you need the data inserted.
    CREATE TABLE Hotel
    (hotelNo NUMBER(4) NOT NULL
    ,hotelName VARCHAR2(16) NOT NULL
    ,hotelAddress VARCHAR2(40) NOT NULL
    ,PRIMARY KEY (hotelNo)

    John CIT,
I would advise you to visit here
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db92/db92.federated_search
You will information regarding creating views, etc.
After reading the documentation if you still have
    doubts. Then please ask.
The whole point at least from my end is that I should
see some of your effort too for the problem that has
    been stated.
    Good luck
AdithI agree, ive tried to make both work and failed or else i wouldnt have posted..
I know for the view (#6) I have to select guestNo, roomNo, dateFrom, dateTo, price, dateFrom, price*(dateFrom-dateTo).. im just not sure how to join them all together properly.
for #7 im going to have to use a count aggregate from rooms in the booking table thats joined with Hotel..
ive been working on this man im just confused. at least point me in the right direction?
    thanks for response

  • Re: isight not working any more

Well. I'm having the same issue (Leopard) on a brand new MacBook Pro 17" (core 2 duo, 1920x1200). I've had a few issues recording audio too. I followed apple's steps to reset the hardware (take out battery and AC adaptor, hold down power button for five seconds), tried safe mode. After resetting the SMC / PRAM, I get the same problem you're having: it works once, then never again until another reset. Turns out it works on a dual boot of windows so if somebody in tech support insists it's a hardware issue i'm going to probably just hang up and wait until they have a clue what is going on (you'll never, ever hear "we have no idea what the problem is" from most tech support). I don't have the time to bother with the type of idiocy you seem to be dealing with. Often when something goes wrong on a mac, it's a hardware issue, but not always (and obviously not in this case).
My feeling is this is a bug in Quicktime's capturing in Leopard. Have you had any issues recording audio too? Try recording a few clips... I get lots of dropped audio. Oddly, the problem occurs in Quicktime Player but not Soundtrack Pro (so far). It's like some driver/application never releases the device fully? Some type of cache filled up? My guess is that Apple is as stumped as I am and probably didn't catch this in their normal testing since the problem seems to take a while to show symptoms. It's not really their fault.
As far as tech support goes, I would either try to fix the problem yourself through troubleshooting some more before bringing it in. If you can prove it's not a hardware problem (by, for example, getting it to work by booting off another drive, or a firewire connected mac in target disk mode), then you can force the tech to keep actually helping you (if he/she can) rather than pushing the problem over to somebody else. I imagine the hardware repair department isn't exactly pleased being flooded with hardware not requiring repair. I would hope that somebody soon starts handing out directives to stop insisting this is a hardware problem. I think an honest "yes, it's a software problem, we're sorry for this and will be releasing an update as soon as possible" would go over a lot better with the public at large, rather than the implausible load of BS that all these iSights are all failing at the same time out of pure coincidence.
A while ago I walked into the Apple store to report a failed HDD on my PB 17" (it was clacking like they do when they fail.) The tech, of course, agrees. Everybody who has been around enough computers for long enough knows all-too well the death-knell of a hard drive. So they send it in, only to send it back to me claiming that the problem was third party ram (they removed it)... LOL. Yeah, right... Although I grant that strange things do happen, and Apple does sell high quality ram (albeit overpriced for the product and <2 min *very very easy* installation process), this was not a problem with the ram, and I'm pretty sure everybody knew that.
Sure enough, when I powered it up (in the store, for extra effect), the HDD was still clacking. Again, the tech agreed with me and sent it in. If I had known how easy it was (relatively, depending on experience) to just take it apart and replace the thing, I probably wouldn't have bothered bringing it in at all (as I later did when that drive failed 3 years later of old age and wear). If, hypothetically, this iSight was a loose connector (it's not) I would probably ... er... whistles ... (still have valid applecare here in case something serious does happen)...
Insisting something is a hardware problem when it clearly isn't is more than a bit absurd. I use my macbook pro as a primary workstation and parting with it is a huge inconvenience. I don't feel like going through that unless it's absolutely necessary. I'll just wait and see. Hope it turns out good or you too.
I feel dirty complaining about Apple tech support. Most of the time they're fantastic. On the other hand, there are idiots in every organization. It might seem "negative" of me to point this out; however in my experience, sometimes a fix does not occur until some PR/marketing droid detects a potential stink in the public sphere (+"oh sh** we can't keep blaming this one on hardware anymore... TECHS! FIX IT! NOW! "+).

  • Where is the article?

A few days ago I found a very good article on the first OTN page, about "A DATABASE-CENTRIC APPROACH TO J2EE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT"-
But now I can't find it anymore (I looked in the overview of tech/dev-articles and I searched it with the search function)
Perhaps it would be removed because it goes against Oracle's (in my view selfdestroying) J2EE-strategy?

But why don't you put it to the "Technical Articles for Developers" page? And why couldn't i find it when I search for it? I tried the search with the authors name "Koppelaars".
I think this article would be interesting for many pl/sql developers.

  • Audigy 2/Norton Antivirus ccApp conflic

There appears to be a conflict between Norton Antivirus and my Audigy 2 card. When Norton's ccApp program is running I get an overlay of loud static through my speakers. No other startup program causes this and when I turn off ccApp it goes away. Spent many hours today with Symantec tech support and got nowhere. Any thoughts?

Sue:?Thanks for the message. Do you think the damaged files are Norton or Creative? I already uninstalled and re-installed my Creative software and drivers so?it seems unlikely that?the problem is there. Does it make sense that a corrupted Norton file would cause static?through the sound card? I have no idea - does anyone know? One of the solutions proposed by one of the Symantec/Norton techs, of course, was that I buy all new Norton software but that didn't seem quite right and I'd hate to lay out more cash and still have the static. Any suggestions much appreciated.

  • Not able to access UA library Content

    Hi,
I am an active member of SDN/BPX community for quite sometime. With the launch of UA community I am eager to join it too.
The system is not allowing me to access  the library contents. Can anybody please help me out?
    Rgds
    Manish

    Munir,
    Thanks for your question.
Within the University Alliances Community, check out the Accounting library.  There are many resources available to get started.  You will find SAP-provided content (whitepapers, cases, solution briefs, etc) as well as overviews of faculty-developed course materials that are available for University Alliances program members to download.  There is also some good links to forums in other areas of the SCN community that are related to accounting that may be of interest.
If your university is already a full member of the program, you can request access to this private workspace (cw.sdn.sap.com).  Go to the site and register using your university email address, and within 24 hours or so you will have access to the private content.
Also check out the content with in the events and elearning tabs at the top of the page.  The events tab has a "webinars" section that may have content of interest; and the elearning page will have all kinds of learning opportunities available - many are free to everyone with a SCN user ID.
If you would like to collaborate with other accounting faculty about how to get started, I would suggest a couple of things.  First of all, you may want to start a separate thread within the Reference Desk.  The UA team monitors this particular thread to identify faculty having challenges with access - but I suspect it is not reviewed by most faculty that are active on our site.  Second, once you have access to the private workspace - you will find an additional discussion forum focused on accounting curricula that you can post a similar thread.
    Best Regards,
    Heather

  • C2D MBP terrible audio noise when DVI connected?

Just got my 2.33GHz C2D MBP, and while the machine is amazing overall, I'm having serious problems with the audio.
In short, when I have my monitor (Dell 2105FPW) connected via DVI, I get an incredible amount of electronic noise through the audio output, *but only when the output is connected to an amplifier*. If connected via VGA, the noise is still present, but much quieter. If I use headphones, the sound is fine. This noise is present and the same volume regardless of the Mac's volume setting.
I've tried with my powered studio monitors, my home stereo system and my headphone amp; all exhibit the noise, to varying degrees.
I would blame the video monitor, but I have used a G4 Powerbook, a G5 Powermac and two Intel Mac minis in exactly this configuration, with zero noise. I've run from batteries, removed everything else on the same power circuit, moved all of the equipment to another room, nothing helps, other than to unplug the monitor (which makes it hard to see ;-)). I don't have another DVI monitor to try, but am going to try to borrow one.
I had it in for repair for a sticky keyboard (back now with 50% less stick!), and the tech of course didn't have amps laying around and found, as I did, that it sounds fine w/ headphones.
I'll try to get a recording of this and will put a link up when/if I do.
Any enlightment would be greatly appreciated.
    C2D MBP, Powerbook G4, Powermac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I should have mentioned that this is not a 60 cycle hum or anything like that. I sounds like when I was a kid and would set my AM radio up next to my TRS-80 (before the band, there was the computer) and listen to the intererence. High-pitched whining/whistling w/ the occasional pops and click.

    Hi Alice,
Does the company you work for or represent have its own Oracle Salesrep?
    If so, call that person.
Otherwise, if you go to oracle.com, select Education (on left under Services) where you can search for courses.
From the resulting list you can see which ones are online and which ones are classical courses at their location, with those you should have an "availablity" button (at least, that's how it works in the Netherlands) which will give you an overview of when that course is given and (if there are more locations in the States, I guess there are but - of course - don't know for sure) at which location.
I guess a phonecall is also an option, might be the quickest as well ;-)
    Good luck, Patrick

  • LSO Infotype-Data upload

    Hi Friends
Could any one share their ideas on LSO Data upload methods, and what r the infotypes are recommended for direct uploads like Availability Indicators can not be maintained directly.
What are the infotypes can be uploaded through BDC,LSMW-what are the infotypes can be configured in the IMG
    Thanks in advance
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar
Please see my response in italics:
1.I tried the T777I also there certain infotypes are not maitained Ex Availability Indicators i can do it by removing the Tick mark but i wanted to know why the std sytem not allowing to maintain certain infotypes directly.
T777I is there to stop anyone to maintain certain object types since if you maitain them in expert mode then you have to maintain their attributes manually as well. Certain transactions are used to create objects like Resources (LSO_PSVR). When you create a resource using LSO_PSVR, it automatically asks u to put in various attributes for a resource and so it remains consistent. But when u maintain it using PP02 and forcefully maintain it then u have to maitain its remaing attributes manually and one can miss certain infotypes to maintain. Hope it clears the above point.
2.Coming to infotypes upload ,1002 -subtype General Description -is it suitable for Course type content or Course type Description-certain infotypes are interlinked with the portal ,need some clarifications on this.
Well its upto You. you can see different infotypes and then decide it for yourself which one to maitain for course type description/content. For example I used general description to give an overview of a certain course type for portal users.
Could you please elaborate this Infotype -Course type Description, course Info,Training provide,Resources ,Delivery Methods.
Since LSO is not installed so I cannot see these infotypes however drawing from my memory.
Course Info(1026) tells u about the language of the course whether it will be english, dutch etc
Resources can be like projectors, books, Instructors etc
delivery method is quite important. It can be either class room training, static web based or web based training. Based on delivery method, you need to maintain certain attributes for example if it is a instructor led training then u need to create instructors and relate with a course event. Similary if its a web based event then u need to maintain a web link for a course in infotype 1061.
Training provider can be a company or a person. Internal or external they can be.

  • Refurbs....

Didn't know where to post this but as it refers to refurn Macbooks, here goes...
Seen quite a few in the refurb section but although some have a full overview of tech spec , some don't have a panel showing "what's in the box", covering supplied software (and versions) plus extras.
Does this mean that those without the extras listed don't come with OS discs, iLife etc, or is it just omitted and the Macbooks actually come with everything like those with these extras listed?
Just don't want to buy one and get stung by not receiving OS X.
I know it sounds a bit stupid but I liek to be sure of stuff if I'm spending £600+
    Cheers

  • Is CS4 64-bit?

Adobe has been quiet about 64-bit support for CS4 which I thought was odd as it seems to me to be a major selling point. I assumed this was because MAC was being left as 32-bit only. However, when looking at the system requirements for Master Collect
