OWB10gR2 process parameter error

Hi,
I have OWB 10gR2 with 2.6.4 Workflow on a 10gR2 database. I create a process flow in owb with a process parameter. The process contains a mapping with an input parameter. I bind the process parameter to the mapping parameter.
When I deploy the mapping to workflow I see that the mapping and process parameters are not deployed to workflow (wf_activity_attributes). And when I run the process from the control center manager and give a value to the process parameter this value does not appear in the runtime either (all_rt_audit_execution_params).
It works fine with OWB 9.2 and 10.1.0.4 as well.
Does anybody have an idea about this problem? What have been changed in R2 OWB in this territory? And how this problem can be solved?

I have some issues with all my Process flows, after migrating from 10.1.0.4 to OWB10gR2.
When I try to generate the PF packages it fails with internal error:
oracle.wh.service.sdk.runtime.QueryException: null
- Internal Error Unknown System Parameter PARAM0 for executionAdapterId= 5 executionOperatorId= 1080
I can not delete this parameter from the process flow (the delete option is disabled when I click on in), and it doesn't complain about another parameter, PARAM, that I created after the migration.

I'm not sure.I have taken up this project recently and seeing lot of issues with the databases,might be lack of proper administration.
For some other database also I'm getting the same error for the parameter 'job_queue_interval'

Hi,
I need to set new value for log_buffer. so what I did was i issued the following command at sql command prompt
alter system set log_buffer=50M scope=spfile;
it throws
ORA-012095: specified initialization paramer cannot be modified
so i brought the DB down and I made an entry(log_buffer=50m) in the initfile
and saved. Then, when I try to create spfile from pfile;
it throws error
ORA-91978:failure in processing system parameters
ORA-32003:error occured processing parameter 'log_buffer'
Due to this I couldn't resize the log buffer.
can anyone help me in how to set log_buffer

What are you trying to resolve or trying to accomplish?
Setting log_buffer to 50M doesn't make any sense at all,
as the log_buffer will be written when 1M is dirty or when it's one third full, whichever occurs first.
You are likely wasting some 45M of memory.

Converted MS Word 2007 to Adobe Acrobat 9 random "Bad Parameter" Error

Question: I Converted MS Word 2007 file which contained 892 pages into Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard afterwards and while needing to update only certain pages I receive the "Bad Parameter" Error. My process is using drop down Document/Extract pages(make my updates)/Replace pages into complete PDF file/ usually with no problem then towards the last pages of the PDF the Error showed up! I believe that it’s possible, the conversion initially may have allowed many tags to be written correctly but some are corrupted. It could be a buffer-overflow failsafe that is having an adverse effect against the two programs because of the file’s size? I have seen some good advice come from many people on this site like "Bill@VT" and "CtDave" and others so I am humbly requesting assistance? Some additional background information is I have to keep the file size the same and I cannot print to PDF file from Word due to a specific format I must keep and most of the PDF is not corrupt: meaning receiving the "Error". I would like to know if the error that seems to be due to the conversion process can be corrected. For the replace and delete pages, I can only guess that you are messing up some of the bookmarks or links in the page from what I think you have based on the description. I would work on copies between each stage so that you can at least go back to the last success stage. If possible, you are better to go back and do the modifications in the original page and the recreate the PDF. If that is not possible, then maybe a better explanation of how you are creating the PDF would help folks understand your process fully and suggest a solution.
On the latter, I would do a repair on Acrobat. However, it may be in the process you are using in the conversion from WORD. How are you creating the PDF from WORD? Have you updated AA9 and not simply have 9.0? The confusing point is that you talk about Distiller for getting the PDF from WORD. Distiller is often involved, but only behind the scenes and normally you either print to the Adobe PDF printer, use PDF Maker, or use the MS plugin for PDF creation. So when stating Distiller, it is unclear what process you are using since none of the methods I mention state the use of Distiller even if it is used in the background.

Enterprise Manager Exceeding Max Processes Parameter

We have a new install of 11.2.0.2 on OEL 5. We have the processes parameter set to 500 and sessions parameter set to over 700. We have EM database control setup and for some reason, it was using all of the processes making us unable to connect to the database. As soon as we shutdown dbconsole, the number of active processes went back down to less than 40. There were only 3 active users on the system. Anyone know why EM was making so many connections? Is this a bug?

There were various bugs in earlier versions (one says "This bug would have been fixed in old 11GC line which has been decommisioned."), look at the emagent.trc and see if has large numbers of uninformative errors. Do an SR, they'll probably uncaringly make you recreate everything and it will magically transform into different errors.

Oracle Processes parameter

Hi,
What does "Processes" parameter mean in Oracle 10g R2. By what I understand I understood that it is the maximum number of OS processes that can be connected to Oracle. Please correct me if I am wrong. How do we determine the number of processes that we need to decide? Also What if we give the number very high i.e say 1000 or 2000. I am asking this because, I was told that for every user connected to database a process is taken away. What if I specify my processes as 200 and 5000 concurrent users try to connect to database. What is the work around for this option? If possible what please explain me what kind of errors do we get when we give processes very less? What is the maximum possible number that can be given in any environment? How does it work in RAC 10g R2? Like, are the processes distributed to each instance exactly or it changes it number dynamically? Is there any way we can find how many processes each instance in RAC is using?

PROCESSES is a static parameter.
It can only be change by restarting the DB.
It is essentially the maximum number of concurrent users (sessions within the DB).
But each additional user slot consumes RAM/shared memory

ACE Error - NCOALink Parameter Error, Customer ID already used for customer

ACE Error - NCOALink Parameter Error, Customer ID already used for customer "[customer name]", list "[list name]"
Received this error and not sure if its due to the Customer/List ID & List Name combination or some thing else. Any ideas?

However I thought it might be heplful to answer your questions and provide you with the example you would have located by using the Knowledgebase search when logging the issue with the Support team.
During the process of logging an issue to Support on the SAP Service Marketplace, you would be prompted for a search in the Knowledgebase. By entering in the error you received, you would have seen the following:
Cause:
This error will occur when either the List Name or Company Name was changed, but the PAF ID (specifically the Customer\List ID) has not changed.
Resolution:
The software has verification in place that requires a unique NCOALink PAF ID for the combined parts of the List Name and Company Name. This meets the Licensee's requirement, as described by the USPS in the Limited Service Provider and Full Service Provider Performance Requirements:
"Licensee will assign each NCOALink customer file, list, or database a unique NCOALink PAF ID. This ID will be used by the software to verify that the customer has a valid, active PAF on file with Licensee. This ID will also be used to provide a relationship between Licensee's service log and PAF information files. The format of the ID will be an eighteen character alphanumeric field consisting of four sub-parts. The Licensee will ensure that each of their customers has a unique and never duplicated PAF ID. Process Chain Error while activating DSO

Hello.
1st, let me say that I'm pretty new to BI so I apologize for the stupid question :-S
I have a process chain (Warehouse Mangement) that failed this morning at the DSO data activation step. It's simply because some entries have lowercase value in a field that should not. I know how easy this is to fix in the transformation but my problem is more on how to fix the actual fail of the process chain. Can I edit the "non-activated" data in the DSO (only 2-3 records that I need to put in uppercase) and "repair" my process chain or should I proceed another way?

Hi John.
If guess your Process Chain process ended in "Red color". Once you fix the error you can try to make "right-click" on the process with error and select "Repair". If this operation is "supported" by the activation process you won't have error.
But I really believe that you'll have to erase the request and launch the complete process (o set of related processes) once again. It's possible that the data you want its already in the NEW-DATA table of your ODS.

Try deleting the downloaded ,exe file and re-downloading and re-installing it. If you have an AV running, try disabling it just for the installation; it may be preventing some parts from installing properly.
If that isn't what you need, please ask your specific question; posting the error log may help a tech, but is not very useful to us regular customers.

Apparently you did not generate the customizing using FBICC. If you have not invested much effort in customizing settings I suggest that you implement note 1172591 and generate the customizing via transaction FBICC. After you run this and make sure that the transaction data tables are activated the programs should run (provided the customizing for the companies in FBIC032 is correct). Please go through the generated customizing settings and make sure that everything looks OK...
I also recommend implenting note 1161993. Whether you run FBICC or not it will help when going through the customizing settings. The most likely cause for the error messages is that there are some incorrect settings in your field catalog and due to this also in the display hierarchy setup.

if I try to call a web service exposed via XI, i have this error message:

Parameter error

Hi folks,
Slight problem here, i have a form in a HTML page linking to a servlet. The servlet's checking the parameters and using the requestDispatcher to redirect to a JSP page. The servlet is compiling fine, but when after i enter details into the form and click on the submit button, i'm getting a Parameter error. I'll show u the e-mail address i'm adding, then the error checking method (which is compling ok) and then the error it returns, and see if you can shed light on the prob.

It is returning "Parameter error 1"?
My guess would be the parameter isn't getting through.
On your HTML page, you have an input with name "emailAddress" (exact match including case) ?
Is your form submitted with method="post" ?
If that doesn't work try the following in your servlet to print out the values.
