Package Creation

Hi,
I have 10 interfaces using which i want to create a single package as below....
execute interfaces:
1 ----2-----3-----4-----5
and
6---7---8---9---10 (separelt in single PACKAGE)
in this i want 1 and 6 as first steps......(which i am not able to define)
when i do the same...my PACKAGE is executing with only first 5 interfaces and 6-10 are not executing....

Well this is a bit different then what we talked about. I thought you want to run steps 1-5 as one set and 6-10 as another set. That makes 2 packages in parallel.
But never mind. I may have misunderstood the problem. If you got your scenarios to run in parallel, thats fine.
Now to use OdiWaitForChildSession, connect step 5 with OK to OdiWaitForChildSession control (this control is under Event Detection in toolbox). Set Max. number of Failed child sessions to 0.
Next connect OdiWaitForChildSession with step 6 and so on.
eg: Step 5 -> OdiWaitForChildSession -> Step 6 -> Step 7 -> so on

I created package name BBP_ESI, with the following information:
Appl. Component - MM
software component - SAP_APPL
Assign BBP_ESI as a sub package to PI-B2B .
1, Where can i find Allowed Objects types in the package creation ,i am using SAP 6.0 version .
2, When i create a report and save it in this package BBP_ESI, its giving error Customer object PROG ZFCI_BBP_ESI_IDOC_SETUP cannot be assigned to package BBP_ESI . Please let me know why i am getting this error .

see SAP documentation for package naming convention:
Packages
The following namespaces are available for packages:
Package names beginning with a letter from A to S, or from U to X.
Package names beginning with these letters are reserved for objects of the SAP standard system from the SAP namespace. You cannot create customer objects or objects from prefix namespaces in these packages.
Note that the package name must be no more than 30 characters long. The name of the main package should reflect the content of the package Adjacent packages should have similar names.
The Transport Organizer records changes to objects in these packages, so that they can be transported.
These packages belong to the "SAP" transport layer and are assigned to an SAP software component (such as SAP_BASIS, SAP_APPL).
Package names beginning with Y or Z
You can create customer-specific objects from the customer namespace in these packages.
The Transport Organizer records changes to objects in these packages, so that they can be transported, provided the SAP System has been set up appropriately. (For more information, see Setting the System Change Option). These packages are assigned to the software component HOME.
So create the packages accordingly...

How to create a security role to delegate package creation and deployment?

Hi,
I am new to SCCM 2012 and I would like to delegate packaging and deployment based on an AD container and user. For example, I have a US-SCCM-Admin account created in the US OU in Active Directory. I also have computers in the US Computers OU in AD. I am
not sure what settings I need so that the US-SCCM-Admin account only has rights to create and deploy packages to the US OU and no where else? I added US-SCCM-Admin security group from AD to the "Administrative Users" group in SCCM. But now I need
to configure a role for this group but I am not sure which one to copy or import? I tried copying the "Application Deployment Manager" role and renaming it appropriately but when I login to SCCM as this user, they dont have the option to create or
deploy packages? Does anyone have a simple step by step on this or explanation on what to do to delegate package creation and deployment based on the user in an AD group? TIA

The Application Deployment Manager role is only allowed to deploy an already existing application. You would have to use the
Application Administrator role instead.

We've got a customer who gets this error when attempting to install our software. My Google-fu makes me think this is a rare error. Chris, would you have any ideas as to the cause of this?

On Windows 7, make sure you are running as Administrator:
Download and install Adobe AIR from this page
Download YNAB3_Live_3.5.3.4.air to a folder on your computer.
Navigate to the folder on your computer where you saved the YNAB3_Live_3.5.3.4.air. If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click on the file and choose “Run as Administrator.” For Mac, Linux, and all other versions of Windows, simply double-click on it to install YNAB 3.

Ok, look at the status message. They will be exactly the same as any query and the status message query already exist. Why re-event the wheel?

Import package creation failed (name locked)

Hello!
When I import a package, one of the objects in ‘Import Results’, have the ‘Action’ 'Creation failed (named locked)'.
I have search the database for the same name:
select * from dba_objects where object_name = 'ADDRESS_HISTORY'
But no rows returns.
ADDRESS_HISTORY is a function in the package. In the "Import Results" it exists twice. In the beginning with Action 'No change' and in the end as described above.
ADDRESS_HISTORY only occurs once in the package.
Why do I get the message 'creation failed (name locked)'?

I had to remove the function from the package, make an import. Rewrite the function in the package again and then redo the import.

Just enter a package name and press enter. A message box will prompt you stating there is no package by that name do you want to create.

PackageMaker/Package Creation Question

Just curious if there are any walkthroughs or very well documented (step-by-step) instructions on how to make a package out there. We have an intern now and unfortunately I we don’t have the time to train him on the creation of a package for a few weeks (due to some big projects). And I would love to be able to give him a website or something so he could learn it on his own.

Delta info Package creation in Production

Dear BI Gurus
I just want to know whi is the better approach for delta update in production.
1. creation of delta info package on production server?
2. or transport from development .
if this is yes then what precautions we have to take ?

Hi Shilpa,
If you have the necessary authorisations, you can create InfoPackages in Production. However, it is always preferable to transport them from Development in order to maintain synchronisation between the systems.
As an example, imagine if you're transporting a Process Chain from Dev. to Production. In this case, if you've created an InfoPackage directly in Production, the technical names of the InfoPackages in the Process Chain and those in the Production system wont match and you wont be able to activate the process chain unless you transport the InfoPackage from Development.
However, if you need to create an ad-hoc InfoPackage or there is some sort of urgency, you can create the InfoPackage in Production itself.

Package creation error

I had done something like this before, but successfully, with no errors.
Any idea why I'm getting the error now? It's telling me I have failed to declare the package name.

Sometimes, we have huge Packages, stored procs to compile. I don't want the entire code of Package to be 'Echoed'. I just want to see if a particular package/SP/Function has been Compiled succesfully or not.

Package Creation in JDev 10.1.2

In JDev 11.1.2 you can create new packaages by right-mouse clicking on the project, then new, then general and selecting package. How can you create new packages in JDev 10.1.2?

If I need to nest several packages such as oracle.apps.ibe.xxpbs.action, in JDev 10.1.2, I am only presented the ability to create the top level package (oracle) only. Below is the code for which I need to create the correct packages

I have named the .java file containing main() method as demos.java and i want that .java file to under a package and the package name is "pack1".
So ,if i want to the program to execute correctly --i ve to change the package name to "pack1.demos;" is it?
This is my question?

Transport package creation in EP7

We have recently migrated from EP6 to EP7. While creating transport package in EP7, I found that the "include dependent" option is no more there in EP7. Can someone tell me how do we include dependent objects in EP7.

In the Properties pull down list, select "Export Settings" and click "Resolve References" Radio button to Yes.
References Filter is used to "com.xxx.*"

Package creation overwrites version number while submitting to WP store

I'm creating a package for submission the first time and I have set the version to 1.1.0.0, but when the package is uploaded to the associated app in Dev center, the package version is showing as "2015.203.1452.4045" instead of "1.1.0.0".
I really do not want the app to be published with a major version of 2015. I went and did a search on the entire solution for the version, but couldn't find any reference.
package.appxmanifest shows

What am I doing wrong?
