belnet.be seems to be out of sync for almost a week. Pick another mirror and copy it to the top of /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.

Last edited by dameunmate (2011-09-25 21:56:23)You must use pacman -Syy when changing mirrors. openjpeg is at version 1.4-1. You should not expect to find openjpeg 1.3-3 anywhere.

Last edited by billytcf (2008-04-23 07:02:50)It's quite simple. When the AUR package was created, the current version of Aptana was 1.0, but the source url links to the latest version. This was all ok until they released version 1.1 because then you suddenly have a completely new file that gets downloaded and because of this is will fail the md5 check.
It's very simple to fix though, in one of two ways. Either just delete the md5sum=() array (changing pkgver=1.0 to pkgver=1.1 would also be a good idea), or download the PKGBUILD and in the same directory as you store it just run makepkg -g and replace the md5sum array with the resulting data (this would be the best way to handle this...).

I can tell by your shorthanded response I should perhaps take my question to the newbie corner? -
I bought Creative suite 5 a few years ago, my computer's hard drive failed, after It was fixed I re installed my program and it now says my Serial number is not valid.

I see you posted this in BASIC phones - what phone do you have? Perhaps it's not capable of running the apps you are trying to download? Maybe there's not enough memory to install the app?

Snow Leopard fails to install - Tech Support and Genius Bar can't fix it
I am having an exceedingly difficult time installing Snow Leopard. I have tried everything I can think of and tech support AND the Genius Bar have failed me so far.
The Details:
Every time I install SL it starts off well but sometime between 18 minutes remaining and 6 minutes remaining it fails. I get an error message that says there was an error that prevented installation. Looking in the installer log gives me a little more information. It usually has 15 or so errors, the last of which is always a very long line saying some package failed to install/unpack/be copied. The odd thing is that the file name is different every time.
So far I have tried:
Repairing the disk and installing
Installing from a different install DVD
Installing from external hard drive at the Genius Bar
Installing using RAM borrowed from the Genius Bar
Wiping the HD completely. I erased all my partitions and tried to install on a completely blank hard drive with a single HFS+ partition
I can only think of a few things that can cause the install to fail: DVD, optical drive, RAM, files on HDD, and HDD hardware. I think I've eliminated all those possibilities except HDD hardware. Changing that on a MacBook isn't trivial and I don't have one handy. Also I would think a HDD problem, or any hardware problem, would cause all sorts of errors and with the exception of this the machine has no serious problems and apps crash only occasionally. I've had no system crashes for as long as I can remember.
I have a Time Machine back up and have successfully restored my old Leopard System onto the MacBook (twice now) so at least I have the option to just give up on SL if I want to. As an aside, restoring from TM went well but not perfectly. Next time I install an OS I will be making a disk image backup. Does anyone else have any ideas? If you solve this problem I'll be eternally grateful and very impressed.
Thanks in advance
JayI'm sorry. I should have answered when you asked about RAM the first time. I have 2GB. I have tried installing with that, and I tried installing with RAM at the Genius Bar. I don't know how much the guy used at the Genius Bar.
Last night I restored from time machine so I currently have Leopard installed on the machine. After the restoration my email archive is little strange, I had to re-authorize iTunes and various other annoyances pop up but it runs without any problems. -

I leave pacman running through all the other mirrors, and it just cannot find the file on any of them.
When I look at http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/archlin … os/x86_64/ I see that there is git-1.7.12.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz which is named differently to the target pacman is looking for (git-1.7.12-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz)
I'm new to arch and pacman. Where could this inconsistency be coming from, and how would I go about resolving it?
EDIT: Just found the -y option in the pacman man page. Solved!
Last edited by oadams (2012-09-23 07:26:37)I used the following process to clean up these warnings on my DPs:
Setup content validation checks for each of my affected DPs to run every morning (previously only set to weekends). I did this so when I made a change I could validate whether or not it worked the following day. It would be great if there was a way to force
these checks manually but I haven't found a method yet.
After the content validation check completed I filtered through the smsdpmon.log on each affected DP. This revealed the package ID that was causing the issue.
In my environment the package in question was not needed so I deleted it. If it is required I suspect re-distributing it would work as well.
At this stage the problem was still not fully resolved for me. Even though I had deleted the package WMI was still inaccurate. I used this script to scrub WMI on all affected DPs and it picked up the problematic package ID:
http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Powershell-script-to-fix-81dc4e69
My content validation checks are now passing and the warnings are being cleared. YEAH!
As a final note - After running the PS script Nickolaj posted I ran started seeing dozens of error checks on my packages (Distribution Manager failed to process package "Laptop Drivers" (package ID = XYZ00123).) After doing some research
I found I was prone to this issue:
Failed to start DP health monitoring task. In my case the suspect file was called "Microsoft". I moved it to another location and the errors cleared immediately.
Hope this info is helpful to others! -

nothing is mounted (i rebooted before applying). not sure why it's giving that NFS error. it's consistent tho.. if i reboot and try the manual install of the patch, I get the same error.
after the failed patch "installed" it left my sound not working... so far everything else appears to work. any thoughts on fixing this are appreciated. i ran diskutil and 'fixed perms' and 'verified disk' ... patch still fails.Try reinstalling the patch. If you get all the way through the installation, then see if your sound works. If not, then I suggest you do a repair install of Sno by installing Sno over Sno as in an upgrade install. Such an install, while usually very safe, still is an install so be appropriated backed up if you proceed.

Install of CUCM 8.6.1.10000-43 on VMWare fails on installing progmeter
Hi, Everyone
First time post here, and first time installing CUCM (any version).
I built a VM using a downloaded OVA template for CUCM 6.5.1.10000-43, and the install fails with a critical stop. Once I figured out how to dump logs to the virtual serial port, and looked at the install.log, I found the following information that looks like where the install failed (these are the only LVL::Error and LVL::Critical messages in the log).
It looks like install failed to install the progmeter application component.
Does anyone know what this app does? Any ideas on why it might have failed to install and possible workaround?
I may already have the answer to the question, as I'm attempting install on a VM running on VMWare vServer (rather than ESX/ESXi/vSphere). It is possible that simply being on an unsupported configuration is my problem. I'm trying to work with the equipment immediately available to me, but fully understand that I may have set myself up for failure by even attempting this.
Any help is appreciated greatly.
Regards,
Sean C

Has anyone found a fix for this?
I am trying to run call manager 8.6.1 on the following enviroment
VMware ESXI 4.1
4GB of RAM
80 GB HDD Space
I have allocated the VM one CPU
In regards to vsergeyey reponse I have checked the network adapter and this is flexible.
I have run the OVA template firstly before mounting the image
I have tried installing numerous times.
Each and every time near the "Installing Database Component" I get the following error; -
I own an HP G62 Notebook PC, and my warrenty expires in 4 days. Iv'e had this problem for awhile but it hasn't affected me too much. The problem is that my USB controllers can't install properly. When I plug in a flash driver it will show that it is installing the device, but then will say failed to install. It will reconise the flash driver as a "Flash Disk". When my computer starts up it will try to install my Universial Serial Bus Controllers but all of them fail to install.
I have attempted to install the drivers manually off the website but it will say " An error occured while trying to install", it will say the same when i attempt to update the devices from the Device Manager. The thing is I use a pen tablet (mostly as a mouse) for my computer. When I plug it in it will say failed to install but the tablet will work fine. Other than that other devices like flash drives and printers fail to install. And the drivers encounter errors every time I try to install.
So my question. Do you think this is a problem with my motherboard? Because if it is I would have to make sure to get it replaced before my warrenty runs out on the 23rd. Or is there a way to fix this? In the Device Manager there is no yellow triangle that pops up next to the USB controllers. There is only one next to the Microsoft Virual WiFi Miniport Adapter_01, which I don't think is in the way of the problem.New Information:
A Flash Drive that I use to use on my laptop works fine. But any other flash drives such as ones from other people and ones not used before will not install. -

Windows Server 2012 R2 - ALL HF's Failing to install as "Does Not Apply to this computer"
Hi,
A general question about hot fix installs.
I have multiple servers that are all Windows 2012 R2. They do not have internet connections, so I have to install the Hotfixes manually. I download the HF's from the ISO download page (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/913086) every month. I collect them and install in a bulk install during a release cycle ( a couple times a year). I just realized that NO HF's have installed since JUNE 2014. Every HF that shows up in WindowsServer2012R2 directory fail to install with a message of "The update is not applicable to your computer". Which is fine if that was true, but.... I get this message for every HF from the ISO's since June 2014. NOT one HF thinks it is applicable to my computer. Could that be the case? No HF's apply to my Server 2012 systems since June of 2014?
This is my system info, and below that is the results from attempting to install 95 HF's.
