Page.ResolveClientUrl Problem in Master Page?

Hi, I have used in my master page as follows:
   <script src="<%= Page.ResolveClientUrl("~/Scripts/jquery-1.8.3.js") %>" type="text/javascript"></script>
I have created a menu control and added some item into that menu in the content page.
While running the page, the following error occurred!
The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contain code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>)
Please provide me the solution to solve this problem.

Please post ASP.NET questions in the ASP.NET forums (http://forums.asp.net ).

  • Problems in Master-Detail forms when the detail contains LOVs

    I am having problems with master detail forms when the detail contains and lov.
    In my detail form I have a messageLovInput field that returns 2 values (code and description). When the lov window returns both values the messageLovInput disappear from the form.
    This problem happens only when I iterate in the master view and I try to add a record in the detail form.
    If I add a new record without navigation for the master view there is no problem.

    Jode,
    which technology are you using, ADF JClient ? If yes, please provide a step by step description of how to setup a testcase to reproduce the problem.

  • Problem with Master -Details forms in seperate pages

    Hi ,
    Below is the scenario:
    I have Institution and a department tables where there is a foreign key relation between the tables. So now i have two entity objects for the 2 tables and 2 view objects(DepartmentView,InstitutionView) from the entity objects.
    I also have a view link between them.I made a master-detail relation between them in the datamodel using the view link.So my appmodule now has getters for the department view,institution view and viewlink.
    I now have a jsp page "createInstitution.jsp" which contains a form for the institution , i have a "next" button on the same jsp which calls a method in my appmodule class .This methods just inserts the record into the Institution view. In this method i am able to see what the user entered in the form by getting the viewrow record like the below code :
    InstitutionViewRowImpl newInstitutionRow=(InstitutionViewRowImpl) getInstitutionView().first();
    The next button navigates to the next page "listDepartments.jsp" which contains the list of departments that are added. This page has a button "Add Department" which takes to to the "addDepartment.jsp" page which shows a form for adding a department. This page also has a button which calls a method in app module class. The method just inserts the record into the view(DepartmentView)
    Here when i say
    DepartmentViewRowImpl newDepartmentRow=(DepartmentViewRowImpl ) getDepartmentView().first();
    the newDepartmentRow is null.
    Also on the addDepartment.jsp form , i had used a output field to see what the parent id was and interestingly the parent id is 75 which is first institution in the database. It should have been "-10" , a temporary id assigned.
    Can someone please tell me what is the problem with my approach?

    I don't understand why you are using a method on your button to insert the record into the table - An Oracle ADF Form will do the insert for you by default without any coding.
    See the create pages in these tutorials:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards/adf_set_21/ccset21_ALL.html
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/dev_ui/developuserinterface.html#t2s5
    The method that you are calling just returns the first record in the rowset - I don't see how it has anything to do with actually inserting the data into the table.

  • Problem with Master Pages CS5

    Hello there,
    I started updating a file I created several years ago in InDesign CS3. I am currently running CS5.
    I have multiple master pages set up in this facing pages document. Sometimes I applied Master A to the left-hand page and Master D to the right-hand page.
    The problem is, on Master A there is a rule set up that extends from the centre spine out towards the outside edge of the page. Master D does not have that rule. However, on any set of pages where I have applied Master A to the left-hand page and Master D to the right-hand page the rule is showing up, as if I have applied the Master A to the right hand page as well.
    The rule on Master A starts at the centre spine EXACTLY. If I  move the rule on the right-hand page slight out from the centre, the rule won't show up.
    I have included some screenshots to illustrate the problem. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
    Master A screenshot
    Master D screenshot
    Master A applied on the left-hand page, Master D applied on the right-hand page.

    Thanks again for your response Peter.
    I have 5 of these files.
    I tried the export to IDML from CS5, and then opened that and it didn't work.
    I tried reassigning the problem page to Master A, then changed it to D. That didn't work either.

  • Problem with Master Pages Incorrectly Formatting

    I have an employee whose master pages are not opening up correctly. Every time she opens up a blank In Design file, then selects to open up the Master Pages, her fonts are incorrect on several of the master pages and some of the sizes are incorrect. This error does not occur when I hope the Master Pages or when my other employee opens up the Master Pages. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Your question is a good one. I was taught to always open up a blank In Design file, then import the master pages, so as to not accidentally re-save over the original master pages. We use the master pages as templates for projects we work on daily. It would seem easier to just open up the master pages, save as, then start working, which is what she's been doing for the time being. We do have back ups of our master pages. Just we were trained on one process, and it's challenging to break up or change that already inherent process.
    I'll look into seeing if she has any default styles set up on her system that could be the cause of her problems.
    Many thanks for your assistance.

  • Problem with master page

    Can anyone help me? I'm under the impression that if I change a text box on my master page A all the other text boxes on the other pages marked A will similarly change. Similarly, the layers on the master page should be reflected on the other pages.
    Except they aren't.
    I had to go through all my double page spreads to change the size of the text boxes, and cannot get the layer order on my master page to be reflected on the other pages.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Sorry for taking so long to get back to you today -- I'm trying to repair windows on my house at the same time as I do forum stuff, and I'm racing the weather.
    As near as I can tell you aren't actually using any of the master objects on Master A except the page markers, and you've detached that on page 3 and overridden on another page to bring them in front of the background (which is not in the frame from the master page).
    Here is what I would do:
    First add margin and column guides to the master page, and a bleed to the document to get a bleed guide for your background. Your margin and column guides should be set so they enclose the two rectangles you drew to hold the text. Delete the rectangles for the text. You don't need them and they'll probably continue to cause trouble. If you need to resize the text frames, enable Layout Adjustment, then change the margin and column guides on the master page. Text frames snapped to the guides will resize to match the new guides.
    I'd get rid of the rectangle for the background image, too, unless you plan on putting a background on every page. It's also unnecessary, and annoying, for use on only a few pages. Add a new layer and move the page numbers up onto that so they will appear in front of any background images.
    If you want to Place text, you can autoflow without the master frames (but if you really want master frames, make them text frames, not rectangles, and thread them on the master pages from left to right). ID will create a frame the width of the column guides where you click, and it will extend downward to the bottom margin guide from the place where you click. If you hold Shift to autoflow, the additional threaded frames will fill the columns from top margin to bottom margin.
    If you want to Paste text, draw the first frame, then paste. Pick up the overset and auto-flow into the next column.

  • Problem with master page text frame

    I am using ID 4 on a Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.6. I have created a master with facing pages and master text frame. But the pages based on that master do not have any text frames showing. When I go to Document Setup the Master Text Frame checkbox is ticked, but the tick and the words "Master Text Frame" are greyed out.
    I have deleted and reinstalled ID4 and  have renamed the InDesign Defaults and InDesing SavedData preference files but no improvement.
    I have to place or copy and paste quite a few pages and don't want to create text frames for every page.

    Do you mean CS2, version 4, or CS4, version 6? My guess is the former since that seems to behave exactly as you describe with the master frame option inaccessible after you've set up the file. In CS2 the master frame is there, but you don't see it on the document page if it is the same size as the margin guides because they obscure the frame edge. If the Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Click in the frame area you should see it become visible as it is overridden and selected.
    Aside from that, everything in the first two responses is dead on. If the master frame is the size of the margin guides, it's totally superfluous for normal work and more of a hindrence than a help.

  • Problem with Master-Detail web page tutorial

    My student asked me about this problem:
    I just completed the following Master-Detail tutorial...
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/4gl/HO_Workshop/hos1_1/HOS1_1_ADF_Forms_Designer.pdf
    ... The problem here is that when I try to define Order By CUSTOMER_ID in CustomersView the App Module test and the application both fail...
    JBO-30003: The application pool (model.OrderEntryAMLocal) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.domain.DataCreationException, msg=JBO-25029: Data class (a domain?) (etc...)
    Note that I can define Order By ORDER_ID in OrdersView without problems.

    Thanks Frank... I had entered just CUSTOMER_ID as you said. After trying this, the App Module is "permanently" broken. It will not work again even if I remove the Order By entry. I was able to use Order By ORDER_ID successfully in the OrdersView. The Order By is not part of the tutorial, but I wanted to use it because I would if this was a real application.

    I think the detailDisclosure state needs to be saved and retrieved from the session.
    I'm not sure using a table with singleSelection inside a detail disclosure is supported. Are you doing master-detail inside of detail disclosure? Detail disclosure is not really meant for that. In jdev 10g preview we make hooking up a master-detail easy. Here's a link to some doc about it.

  • Problem in Master Detail form when using ADF table for Detail

    hi,
    jdev version-11.1.2.1.0
    i have create Master detail form using datacontrol drag as ADF Master Form Detail Table.
    Now when i create a new row in Detail table using CreateInsert button a blank new row created on the top of detail table.
    and other row show that data of previous record based on master.
    problem is that i want when i click on createInsert button all row of detail table should be blank and when user fill two or three row then commit.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    if a detail table has data, then createInsert adds to these. If you want to hide existing rows, create a new View Object instance and set its "Retrieve from the Database" option to "No Rows". The use an af:switcher to change the table shown when the user clicks the createInsert button. There is a bit of coding required to have this use case in ADF, but its mostly declarative. Bottom line is that there is no automated option other than creating new rows in a separate page or dialog if you are bothered by existing rows

  • Problem in master detail

    Hi ,
    i have implemented a masterd detail page...
    The master is a single selection table and the detail is a form.
    in the detail i have dragged and dropped a attribute as SelectBooleanCheckBox
    my requirement is initially the detail form should not be rendered,when ever i select a record in the table the detail form should be rendered.
    for that i have implemented the folowing logic
    i have declared a string variable selected in the backing bean ..
    accessors are as follows
    public void setSelected(String selected) {
    this.selected = selected;
    public String getSelected() {
    try {
    if (table1.getSelectedRowData()!=null)
    selected = "true";
    else
    selected = "false";
    catch (Exception e) {
    selected = "false";
    System.out.println("Has selected;" + selected);
    return selected;
    i have used
    <afh:tableLayout partialTriggers="table1" width="100%" >
    <afh:rowLayout binding="#{backing_xxul_dap_projectAssoc_jspx_InactiveCodeMainPage.rowLayout1}"
    id="rowLayout1" rendered="#{backing_xxul_dap_projectAssoc_jspx_InactiveCodeMainPage.selected=='true'}" >
    tableLayout and RowLayout components to implement the rendering logic..
    inside the rowlayout resides my detail table ...
    so when i select a particular record in the master table .. the detail form i rendered but for the first record it is not showing the details.. even for the first record the output texts are showing correct details .. only the checkbox is not displaying the details...
    what could be the problem..
    without rendering login i could get the details of the first row..
    could someone suggest a solution
    Thanks in anticipation

    The problem is because of clearing the selection state of the table..
    can some one suggest some other implementation

  • Problem in master-detail form on "Apply"

    Hi experts,
    I've got a master-detail OAF page and in the details resultsTable (based on a VO, which is based on an EO) i've
    1. one messageLovInput item
    +"Location(View attr: LocationCode[transient])"+.
    2. two messageTextInput items
    +"LocationId(View Attr: LocationId[EO])",+
    +"LocationNameId(View Attr: LocationNameId[transient])"+
    3. three more messageStyledText items
    +"LocationType(View Attr: LocationType[EO])",+
    +"LocationName(View Attr: LocationName[transient])" and+
    +"SubinventoryCode(View Attr: SubinventoryCode[transient])"+
    Now, the ideal situation or ideal way how the program should run:
    1. On invoking and selection of LOV, the values for all the 6 items should be returned from the lov(*which is working fine).
    2. I've two VO attributes VendorId and OrganizationId which i need to set the value of +LocationNameId[transient](mentioned above)+ depending on the LocationType
    attribute. So, i've a custom logic to iterate through the VO and set these attributes, which is executed when "Apply" button is clicked before getTransaction().commit();
    (But, this is not happening actually when i do this iterate portion, the changes ain't committed. And when i removed this iteration portion, changed are committed, but my
    objective ain't fulfilled)
    3. When on-ProcessRequest() of the page the executeQuery() of VO runs, i need to get the respective values in the transient attributes of VO also to display them in detailsTable
    so, after executeQuery() i've added a custom logic to iterate through the VO and retrieve the values for transient attributes by using PreparedStatement. (This is also not
    working)
    Plz help experts .. ASAP
    Regards
    Ari

    Hi,
    As per my understanding, your issue is that you are displaying some other value (transient attr) in field and storing something else (VO/EO attr) in DB table.
    So instead of creating a transient attribute, modify your VO query and add another column for the value you are displaying on page like:
    EO.value1,
    EO.value2,
    (select value from table_name where val = EO.value1) display_val,
    from tablename EO;
    --Sushant

  • Problem with Master Data Load

    Dear Experts,
    If somebody can help me by the following case, please give me some solution. Iu2019m working in a project BI 7.0 were needed to delete master data for an InfoObject material. The way that I took for this was through tcode u201CS14u201D. After that, I have tried to load again the master data, but the process was broken and the load done to half data.
    This it is the error:
    Second attempt to write record 'YY99993' to /BIC/PYYYY00006 failed
    Message no. RSDMD218
    Diagnosis
    During the master data update, the master data tables are read to determine which records of the data package that was passed have to be inserted, updated, or modified. Some records are inserted in the master data table by a concurrently running request between reading the tables at the start of package processing and the actual record insertion at the end of package processing.
    The master data update tries to overwrite the records inserted by the concurrently running process, but the database record modification returns an unexpected error.
    Procedure
    u2022     Check if the values of the master data record with the key specified in this message are updated correctly.
    u2022     Run the RSRV master data test "Time Overlaps of Load Requests" and enter the current request to analyze which requests are running concurrently and may have affected the master data update process.
    u2022     Re-schedule the master data load process to avoid such situations in future.
    u2022     Read SAP note 668466 to get more information about master data update scheduling.
    Other hand, the SID table in the master data product is empty.
    Thanks for you well!
    Luis

    Dear Daya,
    Thank for your help, but I was applied your suggesting. I sent to OSS with the following details:
    We are on BI 7.0 (system ID DXX)
    While loading Master Data for infoobject XXXX00001 (main characteristic in our system u2013 like material) we are facing the following error:
    Yellow warning u201CSecond attempt to write record u20182.347.263u2019 to BIC/ XXXX00001 was successfulu201D
    We are loading the Master data from data source ZD_BW_XXXXXXX (from APO system) through the DTP ZD_BW_XXXXX / XXX130 -> XXXX00001
    The Master Data tables (S, P, X) are not updated properly.
    The following reparing actions have been taken so far:
    1.     Delete all related transactional and master data, by checking all relation (tcode SLG1 à RSDMD, MD_DEL)
    2.     Follow instructions from OSS 632931 (tcode RSRV)
    3.     Run report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL from tcode SE38 (using both check and repair options).
    After deleting all data, the previous tests were ok, but once we load new master data, the same problem appears again, and the report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL gives the following error.
    u201CCharacteristic XXXX00001: error fund during this test.u201D
    The RSRV check for u201CCompare sizes of P and X and/or Q and Y tables for characteristic XXXX00001u201D is shown below:
    Characteristic XXXX00001: Table /BIC/ PXXXX00001, /BIC/ XXXXX00001 are not consistent 351.196 derivation.
    It seems that our problem is described in OSS 1143433 (SP13), even if we already are in SP16.
    Could somebody please help us, and let us know how to solve the problem?
    Thank for all,
    Luis

  • Problem with master data lookup in transformations

    Hi,
    We're experiencing a strange problem in the transformations for an Error Reporting scenario.
    We've the SAP standard customer (0CUSTOMER) in DSO 2 which derives it's value from the navigational attribute of YCUSTNR (0CUSTOMER is the navigational attribute of YCUSTNR) in DSO1. But the problem here is that even when there is no entry for YCUSTNR, the 0CUSTOMER in DSO 2 returns a value.
    Referential Integrity check is not employed for this scenario. Is it because of this reason that lack of master data is returning some value held in memory. I'm not sure whether it's an issue with the cache. Is there any work around for solving this problem other than the standard master data look up?
    Any help in this issue would be appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks & Regards
    Hari

    Note 1031553 - Reading master data returns value that does not exist
    will solve this problem.
