Panini & Burrito: dot release or major release?

Are Panini & Burrito going to be a major dot release for the current Catalyst and Flash Builder, or are these going to be a new major release?
Or does anyone know?
edsager

Flash Catalyst 1.5 and Flash Builder 4.5 are the public names as of now. Release Dates are still not publicly known. Although they are going from .0 to .5, I would consider them both major updates (especially Catalyst)

  • Uninstalling older dot releases: e.g. uninstall 5.2 once 5.7 is installed

I currently have Lightroom 64-bit versions 5.2, 5.6 and 5.7.  I'd like to uninstall the old versions, but am concerned that if I do, that something will be uninstalled that is a necessary dll for version 5.7.  Is it safe for me to uninstall the old versions?

Each dot release installs on top of previous dot releases. So your operating should only be able to see one version installed: Lightroom 5.7.
I'm not aware of any way to uninstall dot releases (nor should it be necessary) since files are overwritten, not installed alongside.
AFAIK, you can only uninstall major versions. So if you uninstall Lightroom 5, you'd be uninstalling 5.7.
Now that you have 5.7 can you separately launch 5.2 or 5.6?

  • Upgraded Adobe LR 4.1, CS6 Beta & got the Canon 5D Mark III, WHEN is next dot release Camera Raw?

I Purchased the Upgraded Adobe LR 4.1, CS6 Beta & got the Canon 5D Mark III, Mac Pro server update to Lion, WHEN is next dot release Camera Raw? My workflow has trippled in time because of this issue. I'm so frustrated with having to convert images in a slowed up piece of crap canon software package and then wait another decade for the newest LR to load the images I could crap fire! Come on Adobe, where's the release? After a few grand you'd think we'd get a better response time. As for Canon, they are not consistant with community software sharing and can kiss my *!! because to leave Adobe hanging sux!
There should be new laws that penalize jerks that screw with workflow!
Time is money, let's go Adobe!

"so there are no Adobe staff here to see your rant."
Oh, they're here    and they see it...
    BTW this might help?

    Kuassi,
I see that files "javadoc.zip" and "demo.zip" report the same file sizes for both 10.2.0.2 and 10.2.0.1 versions. Are the 10.2.0.2 versions of these files identical to the 10.2.0.1 versions?
    Thanks,
    Avi.

  • Question re dot releases

I am new to the Community and this may not be the appropriate place to post this question
After a dot release is installed, is it necessary to keep the preceeding version release, or can the version release be uninstalled?  I upgraded from LR4.4 to LR5 and the download installed LR5.3 along with LR5. The new version is working well and I am about to uninstall LR4  and LR4.4 that are in my Programs file, along with LR5 and LR5.3.  Question: can the LR5 be uninstalled as well?
    I would appreciate any guidance.

Yes, you can remove all except the current version without issue.

  • Flash Builder Burrito Preview Release - Where is JSONdecoder

Been using the Burrito release for a few days and am not able to find com.adobe.serializers.json.JSONDecoder. Where has it gone? I certainly hope this is a part of the actual release - really liked the ability to parse the JSON and cast object directly to my custom VO's.

Yes, I have seen that library, however I am referring to com.adobe.serializers.json.JSONDecoder - note 'serializers' not 'serialization' after com.adobe.
The class for com.adobe.serializers.json.JSONDecoder contains a method called decode() with the following signature:
    com.adobe.serializers.json.JSONDecoder.decode(jsonString:String, clazz:Class=null, makeObjectsBindable:Boolean=true):*
The as3corelib does not contain this method.
So, again, FB4 supports this namespace while 'Buritto' preview release apparently does not. Has this been removed or will it be in the final release? I lke being able to pass in a class for casting the JSON objects as it used to do in FB4.

  • Mail.app plugins and dot releases...

I am a beta tester, currently using the 10.6.7 beta on my MacBook as I write small programs for my own personal use in my day to day professional life so need to keep myself up to date to make sure my workflow can carry on uninterrupted (I am a Medic, so making sure I can do my daily work without interruption is VERY important).
Each dot update for OS X Snow Leopard seems to break mail plugins, this is not an isolated or unknown issue and it's not just the betas, the GM updates also break mail plugins. I currently use GrowlMail and WideMail, but not WideMail does not work following the update to 10.6.7.
Any fixes? Normally the old adding plugin UUIDs to the .plist files for each plugin works but I haven't been able to find any info on the plugin UUIDs for 10.6.7.
C'mon Apple, I know the plugins are third party and not your responsibility, but mail.app is and each time we update our plugins stop working. 9 times out of 10, we don't need new plugins, we just need to modify the ones that exist. What happened to it just works? Am I doomed to have to keep repeating this process with each update?
    Must be a better way...

yes...and it has now happened again with the release of 10.6.7. My Mail plug-ins have all gone AWOL.
Rather than looking for ways to update the plug-ins, or forcing users to jump through hoops to make them work, shouldn't Apple be incorporating some new features into Mail itself? As an email client, it's way behind where Eudora was 10 years ago.
My main issue with Mail is visibility- it's very easy to miss an important incoming message.
BTW, beta testers are supposed to sign an agreement that they won't tell anyone they are beta testers, or what they're doing.

  • 11g - What will first dot release be? 11.0.0? 11.1.0?

    Folks,
Subject line pretty much says it all - I need to add an entry to a dropdown menu that currently has:
    8.1.5
    8.1.6
    8.1.7
    9.0.1
    9.2.0
    10.1.0
    10.2.0
So what will the entry for the first 11g release be? Answers from someone who works for Oracle or has access to real facts as opposed to opinions please :)
    David Rolfe

Well, in the 11g presentations I've seen, it's been
listed as 11.1.0. No guarantees, of course, that
this will be the naming convention Oracle chooses
when they actually ship, and they may well have
changed the naming convention since whatever beta was
    used to produce those presentations.
11.1.0 makes sense. I doubt if they'd use 11.0.0 as experienced Oracle users are nervous of anything '.0'...
Hans: I know about the naming convention :) . I'm trying to figure out what marketing have decided the version number should be, which is a bit different. Thanks though...

  • Adobe EchoSign May Release

In the May release we have completed work on the new e-sign experience to address majority of the existing e-sign scenarios. The new e-sign experience will be the default experience for all new users. We will be turning it ON by default for all FREE users starting next week and over the next few weeks will gradually switch other tiers to the new e-sign experience. This new e-sign UX is completely re-built from the ground up to make use of modern browser technology and provide a consistent experience to our signers across desktop and mobile devices. In upcoming releases we will add support for more of the current capabilities such as Approvals, Widgets and innovative new capabilities such as Save and Resume, locations capture, etc.
We enhanced signer identity verification to require each signer to have a unique identity verification method. This will enable customers to create much more flexible and higher assurance signature processes. To deliver this functionality we redesigned the send page for the service ensuring a much simpler UX during send. While we were at it, we also improved the authoring experience to provide form field alignment, form field sizing tools, fonts, colors, and size for fields and added a few new field types to make it easier for our customers to create documents.
The ability for our customers to create and publish standardized re-useable business processes throughout the organization has been amped up. Our customers will be able to increase compliance and eliminate costly errors by using our new custom workflow capabilities. It also gives us a significant competitive advantage.
The ability for sending document for signature and delivering signed documents from Acrobat and Reader is streamlined. More than 600M users will now be able to seamlessly leverage the capabilities of EchoSign right from the desktop. We have also introduced brand new native integrations with Box, Google Drive, SharePoint 2013 to allow users to use EchoSign capabilities from more places.
There are new SOAP and REST APIs to empower developers, customers and partners to integrate the capabilities of EchoSign into their products, services and workflows. Additionally there are new administration capabilities for easily creating and managing users in bulk, controlling user roles within an organization and managing widgets.

The versioning policy and update path is well documented in the admin guide: Latest MSI + latest Q + latest OOC patch. Deployments must chain these in the right order to succeed. Since the most common workflow for admins is to install the base MSI and then update as dot releases appear, that's the team's focus. Quarterlies are made cumulative to the last MSI to simplify updates.
However, a full MSI is occasionally released. Those are identified by the second number being incremented. For 11.x, there is no 11.1 yet.

  • Spry 1.6.1 released

    Hi All,
As some of you early risers have noticed, we have formally
released Spry 1.6.1, a dot release for Spry.
This was mostly done to ensure compatibility with Adobe AIR,
    which was released today
    http://www.adobe.com/products/air/
In order for Spry to work in AIR, we had to make some
addition ways of working available to users. You can read about it
    here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/air/photo_gallery.html
These changes introduce some cool new ways of coding your
pages. Check out this new sample:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/Function_colon.html
Lots of good bug fixes, the new Rating widget is formally
released, the Spry Updater for DW was updated.
Download it and check it out.
    Thanks,
    The Adobe Spry Team

    Donald,
Have you validated the javascript code to make sure that the
behavior is the same on both IE7 and Firefox. The Accordion widget
does not properly open large sets on IE7. See
    http://www.qualite1.com/ContactUs.html
and select California to see the difference between Firefox and IE.
Notice how the Javascript causes the focus to jump around on
    IE.

  • Adobe Reader MSI Release

I am new to trying to roll out Adobe Reader by Group Policy and MSI's and am having trouble creating a new MSI from 11 and the AdbeRdrUpd11009 MSP. I have read many websites on creating the MSI which I have followed and I think I have created it correctly, but does anyone know if Adobe publish a prebuilt MSI for the latest version of the patch or update that I can use ?
    Thanks for your help

  • Next release of Java gui?

    Hallo,
I use java GUI under Linux. I have some issues with current release, but I am not able to create bug reports (too busy on project). I hope that anybody does it, so I wonder if any dotted release has been released with cursor positioning fixed, or, if new release 7.20ver.3 will be released soon. I temporary use 7.20 rev2 for programmimg, but I need to switch to 7.10 when I need to change screen design in screen painter.
    Thank you for answer,
    Pavel

    Hallo Rolf-Martin,
      I've found two distinct problems:
    1)
Run se51, select a window and edit layout (without graphical screen painter, of course). Try to move an object, e.g. from n-th column to m-th column. I.e. click to this object, click to "Block" button, select new position (best for this example is to select empty line, and try to move object to m-th column, where m > 1. Clicking to "Move" button results to move object to rught line, but to its first column! If start of this line is occupied by another object, it will lead to error - conflict between objects.
This problem can be easily reproduced. This problem disappear when I use gui 710 on 32-bit platform (chrooted environment on my workstation).
    2)
Sometimes  - and I cannot describe what is neccessary to do to reproduce it - moving mouse cursor over menu or history of field will lead to unexpected behavior: wrong popup menu is shown, it looks like gui "things" that mouse is placed at position [x,y-3cm] instead of [x,y]. When I want to use history, it leads to hiding of historical values instead of using selected one. But when I note that selected line (from history of field) is not selected by pointing mouse to it, I move mouse right until color of selected value is changed ... and then click works as expected ... but mouse custor is often pointing out of this history menu.
This problem is hardly reproduced, workaround is to close session or log off from system and log on again.
    Thank you for your help,
      Pavel

  • Purchasing Flash Builder Burrito

    Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but not sure where to ask. Was just wondering if Flash Builder Burrito will be released as an update for Flash Builder or if it will be a new version to purchase. I plan on purchasing Flash Builder, but wasn't sure if i should wait until Burrito is released or not.
    Thanks

    Hi,
We have not announced pricing or availability as of yet for the upcoming version of Flash Builder.
As the upcoming release contains new features it will be a paid upgrade from the current Flash Builder 4 release.
    Thanks,

  • Deployed Android project using Flash Builder Burrito not working on mobiles

    Hi,
I have created a simple "Hello World" Application using Flash Builder Burrito SDK. I have tested the result in the emulator it is working great.
After that i deployed the application using "Export Release Build Option" and entered valid certificate details and created the .apk file. I copied the .apk file into the device and i run the application. Iam unable to run the app. I have tried these in 3 android supported devices and in each of these i am getting different error messages. I have mentioned the device in which i have tested and the error message i got while i tried to install the app (.apk file)
HTC Desire - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
Samsung Galaxy Tab - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
LG Optimus one (LG P500) - "Application not installed"
I have created a New Mobile Project in the flash SDK and added simple label "HELLO WORLD" in the view section.
Before deploying i have installed Adobe AIR 2.5 in the device.
Whether iam missing any of the steps to deploy correctly in the device. If so, please let me know. Also i need to know whether any restrictions are there for applications developed using Flash Burrito Preview Release. (whether by default all android mobile version more than 2.1 will support it?)
Also when i try to install "Tour De Mobile Flex" apk in LG Optimus, it is saying "Device not supported" message.
How do i overcome these problems to run the apk file without any problems.
If you need any other detail please let me know, i will explain it in detail.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Srinivasan.C

Ok, this is an old post but i still needed a couple of hours to find a solution, so here we go:
    - Most likely you have TWO executable build targets in your project (two mxml that you can launch). If so, go to the Project settings > Flex Applications and remove the one you don't need so you only have one.
    - My case was a bit complex though - i was using an ANE and Coldfucion server. In this case change the Output folder in the Project Properties > Flex Server > Output folder to something like "temp" instead of "C:..." generated by Flex Builder. The Android device gets confused by a "C:" reference but still can understand a local "temp" folder
I hope i have saved your day

    Hi,
Are you using Flash Builder Burrito preview release build?
    Do you reproduce this consistently?
The same code compiles fine for us.
Can you please attach your eclipse log file?
    Thanks,
