I need little help on 2Dbarcodes
as per my understanding we have less then 800 character limit for barcode ,
do we have any impact of duplicate data on barcode ?
because when i gave same input to the barcode and scan it ,i dont find any data in it ?
for example: i gave "9" character 6000 times , which almost generates more 8 barcodes, but when i scan the barcode i dont find any data in it .
can you please help out whats the issue with it ?

Problems with Paper Forms Barcode

i designed a PDF which has 2 pages. on this pages user enters data for 3 persons. name + adress
i want to add a paper forms barcode for the whole document on the second page, but the barcode object shows me an error (in the right corner of object) once the barcode is to small, anothertime the barcode is to large. i tried to magnify the object by 0,1in steps to find the right size but i couldnt.
how can i solwe this problem?

Paper Form Barcode decode error with UTF8 Chinese

I have a Paper Form Barcode
Symbology: QR Code
Scaning Method: Custom
Error correction level: M
Modul width:0.592 mm
Character Encoding: UTF-8
But sometime QR code decode data not equal original data
Case 1:
PaperFormsBarcode1.rawValue = "哈哈";
After decode: I got "哈哈" ==> OK
Case 2:
PaperFormsBarcode1.rawValue = "哈|哈哈|"
After decoe: I got "蜩�蜩亥嶋|" ==> Error!!!
Case 3:
PaperFormsBarcode1.rawValue = "A|哈哈|"
After decode: I got "A|哈哈|" ==> OK
Decoder:
I tried several Android / iOS APP on several cellphones, and they ALL got same result.
Our client (Bank) bought Adobe Livecycle ES4 Soluction, and we need your help very much, thank you!

do you have the asian language packs installed? i can't comment on this specific example but i know that we've had odd issues with japanese characters because we hadn't installed the right language packs.

Paper Forms Barcode

When using the Paper Forms barcode, how do you select which fields will be encoded into the barcode? It does not appear there are any tools that allow you to select which fields within the form that will be encoded into the barcode.

Now, I read that you need to Livecycle Barcoded Forms to make use of this feature. Do you know if this is something that comes seperately or does it come with ES2 SP2?
You'll have to check with Adobe on that - I think the barcode part may come with Reader Extensions now, or something like that.
It is possible to manually encode the data into a barcode and extract it without Barcoded Forms, you need to build a delimited string of the data you want and put it in the barcode.
I guess another question I have is to see if there is anyway to test within Livecycle that the data is actually being encoded on the form.
You can check the .rawValue of the barcode object. Something like TextField1.rawValue = BarCode.rawValue; will dump whatever's in the barcode into a text field.

Problem adding Paper Forms Barcode to form w/ Designer 7.0

Whenever I add a barcode to a form using Designer 7.0 I see the error "Argument invalid: not supplied/range/etc." in Designer's warning box. I'm suspect of this because I don't notice the barcode updating as I fill the form in.
Any clues ?

Is it possible to embed logo in QR code which is formed as a part of paper forms barcode?

I am trying to embed logo in the QR code. But I am not finding any options for this in LC.

Hi thumper, if you have access to InfoPath, you can add the form to a page using the InfoPath web part. Otherwise, use SP Designer with instructions below:

tools like javascript, etc. that will help me accomplish this task?

What is the fastest way to convert a paper form (MS Word document) to a HTMLDB form?

Other technolgies give you that, you don't have to use HTML DB. The funny thing is, all of the other aspects of those technologies are really hard (session state, pagination, UI consistency, column-heading sorting, etc. come to mind). Kind of like driving your favorite car (I'm partial to Audi) and complaining about the location of the cup-holder. I've heard Hyundai's have great cup-holders, but do you think I'm gonna switch? ;)
While I wouldn't look for drag-and-drop layout in the next release, I wouldn't rule it out in the future. There will be some drag-and-drop features in the next release (I think I'm aloud to say that), unfortunately they have nothing to do with form layout...

2D Barcode (PDF417) in Smartforms

I have a Smartforms with 2D-Barcode (PDF417).
I have to use header, field separators and foot into the barcode ( [)>, RS, GS, EOT...).
I define these separators like this:

SAP ABAP Code to Generate PDF417 Barcodes
Preparing SAP data to be printed as a linear barcode can be a pain at times; when 2D barcodes with proper field separators are required the pain factor goes up. Most of the problems come from trying to convince SAP to assign non-printing control characters to the output variable. So, I have written a small example which demonstrates both how to generate a PDF417 barcode and the steps required to assign special characters to a string in ABAP. SAPscript cannot handle 2D barcodes, so this code will only really work in SmartForms.

If all goes well, then the variable gv_pdf417 should contain a string like the one below (the characters in the angle brackets are the hex codes for the control characters). In SmartForms the variable should be output in a text area with using the PDF417 barcode character formatting (your basis team will have to install it if it is not already available). The barcode at the top of page is generated from the string below.

Can 2D BarCode (PDF417) be generated in Reports?

Is it possible to generate 2D barcode (PDF417 spec) using Oracle Reports? What should I do in order to generate barcode?

This is a pretty general question but does anyone know of a way to create a digital form from a scanned paper form on a mac? I know that people use software such as Nuance's Omniform on the Windows platforms but I can't seem to find such a program for the mac. Is there someway to pull this off using Adobe PDF files? I would appreciate any help you guys can provide.

You can use Filemaker Pro and in the Layout section you drag "fields" around to represent any form you wish, draw lines and boxes, place pictures just like a page layout program but it's a database program.
You can then use these "fields" in any layout you wish, each record in the database will change the associated fields accordingly, name, address, phone etc etc.
I haven't used it in awhile, so I don't know if you can import a scan of a present paper form or not for a template, but it's rather easy to copy by measuring with a ruler.
Filemaker Pro so happens to be owned by Apple, but it's a seperate company, so you know it will work well.
If that's to much money for you, you can check out Appleworks, but I hear Apple isn't putting out any more updates for it, no Mactel version.

As an Advertising Agency I would think it would be trivial for you to do this yourself, particularly as most material is in English and I would assume you would want Arabic with reversed layout. Even though Pages does not handle Right to Left script well (use Mellel instead).

Does Acrobat allow paper forms?

I want to design and make various forms. I was told that Acrobat might be able to do this. The forms that I want to make would be in paper form when printed out. Most likely, I do not need to have any sort of computer needs beyond using the computer to design them (drawing the borders & lines, adding text boxes, text and arranging them). Does anyone know if Acrobat would allow this. Thanks in advance.

If you want to design paper-based forms you most likely want to use a program like Illustrator or even Photoshop. You might even use Word, but I'd never use Acrobat.
