Parallel Approvals -- How to send Input to Data preparation process

Hello,
I have created a parallel process with using gateways to send a form through 8 concurrent approvals; the problem is that the form only gets updated with the formdata of the quickest completed route; so ultimately data is lost from some branches when the gateway closes. (Rather than acting more so like a database where fields are locked while in use and updated with no data lost).
So I have looked into having each approval task (8 in total) use a custom action profile with a custom 'Data preparation process' which will run when a user opens the task and on the fly it will then load the latest form data (to minimize the risk of data loss; still not perfect though). But in order to do this I need to be able to pass the form data into the 'Data Preparation Process'; how can I do this?
So to summarize, 1) how do I pass variables (such as formdata) into the data preparation process; and 2) is there a better approach for parallel approvals?

How do I map the fields from the query into the xmlPrepareData output variable?

Then I map that `initformvariable` to the taskContext - @InputDocument variable (then pass that to xmlParepareData)
No luck on it working; where am I going wrong?

How To Re-Input More Data To A Text File?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to re-input more data into a text file? I don't want to over-write the text file, but just add more data to it. The current code i have is:

i've figured out the code to retrieve the text file and print it to screen...but how do i go about only printing parts of my text file?
So supposing my text file has 5 lines of data/text etc, how would i make it print the first line?...or the second line?...or the third....etc etc...

How to send PR & PO data for materials through IDOC in XML

Hi Experts,
I am looking for a solution to send open PR & open PO related data for diffrent materials through as IDCO in XML file.
Scenario is i have to show a report in a 3rd party system for open PR & open PR that too will come after selection some materials. That means select a materials & it will show all the open PO & related data in a report.
The rough idea for the solution i got is I can save the data in XML file in the system. For this i have to send IDOC. but the problem is there is no message type for PR. IF i am not wrong i can extend the MATMAS05 for a segment that will have PR related info.
Now what to do with that how to send the IDOC do i need to create another report to send IDOC or i can send the extended one through BD10. I tried it but it shows error message "0 communication idoc sent" so I dont no y such error is coming i think i am not filling the extended idoc. But again my QUestion is how to do that. If anyone have any other solution Please help me out of this.

My requirement is bit different. i have to send Open PR data for diffrent materials. In a 3rd party application user will search for few materials which will generate a report that will show the PR related data for those material.
Same thing i have to do for PO & Sales order also.
Can u please help me to provide the solution how can i proceed for it. U have given the Message type & a bapi how it will help in my issue?
I got a suggesion from someone that extend message type matmas for PR, PO, SD related data & send the idoc. but i am confused how to pass that much data ina single IDOC.

u define the parameters to send to a module in 'module configuration' (in module tab) by giving the key to identify the module for which u r giving giving the parameters.

How to send User Master Data through XI

Dear SAP gurus,
We are currently configuring the e-recruiting module on a separate server than HR (following the SAP standard).
As our CUA is not connected to the E-REC systems, we are looking for a way to send properly the User Master Data from HR systems. We have seen that the report RSCUSND enable us to send iDoc with message type USERCLONE, but this repport can be only run from the CUA then we can t use it.
Another solution is to make a client copy with the profile SAP_USER, but we can t use this solution because in order to get the User Master Data in a real time we should make the copy each 15 minutes.
We can t figure out with the question, what is the standard way to send User Master Data to our E-Recruiting module

1- The XI has the HR interface package in IR. You just need to select those you need.
2-Goto ID and do interface mapping between IDOC interface & XI outbound interface

How to send other language data into excel file in attachment thru mail

I have to send other language data (russian) into excel file and send as an attachment through e-mail.
I had used F.M SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email.
In internal table , it is in correct format, but when using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1, the excel file sent has junk characters in it.

Hi experts,
I have developed the IDOC to FILE scenario for Vendor Master Upload. I want to place flat file in local folder with in XI or Outside of XI. (Using NFS or FTP protocol in FILE adapter). My First quesstion is How to setup Folder with in XI ro Out side XI?
And also I want to push the IDOC from SAP r/3 to test the scenario. Both XI and R/3 systems are configured to exchange data.
How to Push Vendor IDOC from SAP R/3 to XI? (we can send XML directly to XI; but the R/3 kernal should be moe than 6.20).

Its a normal way to creation of folders in Os level . u can create the folder in XI Server or on the FTP Server.
ALE Settings
Steps
SAP XI
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.
e) Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL.
f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.
g) In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client user & Password details of Destination system.
h) Test the connection and remote logon.
2) Create Port (IDX1)
a) Select create new button
b) Enter the port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)
c) Enter the destination client.

e) Save

h) Select Process code related to the Message type.

Sharepoint 2013 and SSRS how to send reports on date schedule after dw load completes

Certainly with subscriptions we can generate a SSRS report on a schedule like say every Monday morning at 5 AM PT. My problem is I want to run those reports but I want to make sure the Datawarehouse completed its load first. Example if
for some reason the DW breaks at 4 AM and does not finish the load the Reports should not run. ONce the DW is finished then reports should run. The 5 AM is really a place holder for 1st attempt to send reports. It should keep trying until
it can send them or Tuesday comes around.
the only approach I can think of is via the DW with a job and stored procedure you could have it exec anything you want. Is it possible to exec the reporting services report from sql? Is there a way from within sharepoint?

According to your you want to fire the SQL Server Reporting Services after the Data Warehouse load data completed, right?
By default, when a subscription is created, a corresponding SQL Server agent job is created meanwhile. The SQL Server agent job has the same schedule with the shared schedule or report-specific schedule that is using by the subscription.
The corresponding SQL Server agent job calls stored procedure AddEvent to add an event in SSRS. Then the SSRS notification service fetches the event from SSRS database to deliver the subscription.
That, we can configure regular shared schedule or report-specific schedule based on the irregular schedule. So in your scenario, you can configure the job steps to fire the subscription after the Data Warehouse load data completed. For the details, please

How to send te XML data using HTTPS post call & receiving response in ML

ur present design does the HTTP post for XML data using PL/SQL stored procedure call to a Java program embedded in Oracle database as Oracle Java Stored procedure. The limitation with this is that we are able to do HTTP post; but with HTTPS post; we are not able to achieve because of certificates are not installed on Oracle database.
we fiond that the certificates need to be installed on Oracle apps server; not on database server. As we have to go ultimately with HTTPS post in Production environment; we are planning to shift this part of program(sending XML through HTTPS post call & receiving response in middle layer-Apps server in this case).
how i can do this plz give some solution

If you can make the source app to an HTTP Post to the Oracle XML DB repository, and POST contains a schema based XML document you can use a trigger on the default table to validate the XML that is posted. The return message would need to be managed using a database trigger. You could raise an HTTP error which the source App would trap....

How to send internal table data through mail from report in foreground

iam trying to convert the internal table data into excel format and sending it through mail by runnning the report in foreground.
mail is going sucessfully with excel format,but iam facing the problem in the excel format of the material column as follows:
the matrno shows the wrong format -2.63E+11 instead of displaying correct format-263215000000.
Pls suggest the alternative process for the above mentioned problem.

Hi Siva,
Try to copy 263215000000 in one of the cells of excel sheet and press enter.It will automatically convert into -2.63E+11 .
This means the default formatting of the excel sheet makes this happen.If you convert the format of the cell to "NUMBER" then u will get the required result.
But I doubt whether or not it is possible through ABAP programming.

Personally I would generate the report with a tool like as_pdf

How to send input to Apple software dev...

How does one contact Apple's software gurus in order to provide input for future developments with software such as Garageband and Logic? (I'm thinking of the stupid Windoze 7 TV adverts). I've really enjoyed using Garageband (Logic) since it's first version, but there's one thing that continues to plague me when arranging a song ....there ain't no way TO arrange a song. It's all done in a linear way with no obvious way to create individual segments (verse, chorus, bridge, etc) and then arrange, or rearrange them into a song with each "part" having selectable repeats, transpositions, muting, and all things I've really enjoyed when using keyboard based workstations such as Yamaha Motif, Korg Triton and the late great Ensoniq workstations. Thanks for any help getting this added to Apple's music tools. D.Bell

Thanks for your reply - The Arrange function is just not as fluid as being able to select a section to repeat several times, then move to the next, etc, etc. After this is all arranged then have another full set of tracks to overdub on top of your song arrangement. Anyone that has work with Ensoniq's workstations will know exactly what I'm trying to describe. If I had any personal contact with the designers of Garageband (and Logic) I would offer to locate an Ensoniq SD-1 or similar model to help Apple to develop a better music product. If Ensoniq could fit their sequencer application on a floppy disk, I'm sure that creating a similar type sequencer for Mac would be pretty straight forward.
