Parameter with xml format....

I hav to send 3 parameters via HTTP. There r
1. cpid (datatype: string)
2. pwd (datatype: string)
3. msg in xml format :
<mms>
<subject>message subject</subject>
<url_image>http://image_url</url_image>
<url_sound>http://sound_url</url_sound>
<url_video>http://video_url</url_video>
<text>message text</text>
<msisdn_sender>6281XYYYYYY</msisdn_sender>
<msisdn_receipient>6281XYYYYYY</msisdn_receipient>
<sid>to be define later</sid>
<trx_id>Unique number</trx_id>
<trx_date>yyyyMMddHHmmss</trx_date>
<contentid>see note</contentid>
</mms>
I'm stuckd on msg parameter. How can i effectively assign msg with data in xml format? I mean if i create an xml file & send it with others params, it will increase the I/O cost, coz everytime request made, the application must create an xml file....
Any suggestion??
Thx b4 in advance...

I understand what you are trying to do, I get the same problem.
It seems to be that with the "go" you can request a report in xml format OR you can filter a report with passed parameters, but it doesnt seem to like you passing filters AND wanting the results in xml format.
Heres my examples
1 - call report in xml format - this works
saw.dll?Go&Path=/shared/Reports/TestReport&Format=xml
2 - call report with filter passed ( the table.column is set to "is prompted" in the report ) - this works
saw.dll?Go&Path=/shared/Reports/TestReport&Action=Navigate&Format=xml&col1={table}.[column}&op1=eq&val1={passed value}
3 - call report in xml with filters - this does NOT work observes the XML format only.
saw.dll?Go&Path=/shared/Reports/TestReport&Format=xml
&Action=Navigate&Format=xml&col1={table}.[column}&op1=eq&val1={passed value}
If anyone has a solution to this I'd be really interested to know.

    Hi Sheshu,
    According to your description, you are experiencing the issue "The 'DimensionID' required element is missing under....." when back up you databased using XML format, right?
    After investigate this issue, the underlying cause is not fully known. You can process the database and then backup it again. Here are blogs that describe how to backup SQL Server Analysis Services using XMLA, please see:

  • SOAP Axis adapter - problem with XML formatting

    Hello All,
    We are using SOAP Axis adapter on our scenario (because of NTLM authenticatiom) and faced a problem that some module in a module chain is pretty-formatting XML message (inserting newlines and spaces).
    Receiving WebService is REALLY strict on format and doesn't allow spaces and newlines between XML elements.
    Formatting is for sure done already in adapter as in sxmb_moni message is still one-liner.
    After different tests this formatting is most likely done by XI30OutboundHandler.
    Are there any parameters to prevent this formatting?
    If there are no parameters, than maybe there is a standard module to remove this XML indentation?
    Where I can found source code for XI30OutboundHandler to check how it is extracting payload from XI message?
    Thanks in advance for your answers!
    Best Regards,
    Artsiom Anichenka

    Hi, have you find a solution for this problem?
    I've tried set the parameter “disablePrettyXML”, as mentioned in SAP note 1039369 (search for “disabling pretty XML”), but apparently it didn’t work too. Have you tried that?
    I still get linefeeds and carriage return in the post requisition to the WebService.

    Ronaldo Schork.

  • Problem with XML formatting

    All,
    Lets suppose we have a table like
    create table Test_data
    user_mane varchar2(30),
    user_id number,
    xml_data varchar2(3000)
    and we have inserted the data as

    ('ABC',19,'<Employee><firstName>Kavita</firstName><lastName>Khandhadia</lastName></Employee>');
    Insert into Test_data(user_mane,user_id,xml_data) values
    ('XYZ',19,'<Folder><folderName>Rx</folderName><folderDescription>Rxdescr</folderDescription></Folder>');
    Now,In select statement I want to fetch the data without the xml tab. i.e, the data should look like as :
    user_mane user_id xml_data

  • Custom action with XML type input and output parameter.

    Hi,
    I want to develop custom action with xml type input and/or output parameter.
    Is there sample code for java side. How is the definition of input and/or output parameter and set/get methods?
    does it need special .jar file to develop custom action like this?
    Thanks.

    Cemil - yes, you can use XML data types.  Use the class
    com.sap.lhcommon.xml.XMLDataType
    for your parameter type.  Here is a snippet from a custom action we use to log XML (instead of just returning the #text node like the default logger does):
    public class XMLLogger extends ActionReflectionBase
        private String source;
        private String eventType;
        private String textMessage;
        private XMLDataType xmlMessage;
        public XMLLogger()
            log = new Logger("UserLog");
            source = DEFAULT_SOURCE;
            eventType = TYPE_INFO;
            textMessage = "";
            xmlMessage = new XMLDataType();
        public XMLDataType getXmlMessage()
            return xmlMessage;
        public void setXmlMessage(XMLDataType xmlMessage)
            this.xmlMessage = xmlMessage;
        public void Invoke(Transaction transaction, ILog ilog)
            StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
            sb.append('[');
            sb.append(source);
            sb.append("] ");
            sb.append(textMessage);
            sb.append(XMLUtils.convertXmlToString(xmlMessage));
    XMLUtils is a helper class we wrote - it's just a bunch of standard Java XML boilerplate code.  The important part you need to know is XMLDataType.getDocument() will return an org.w3c.dom.Document.
    I hope that was enough information to help.

  • Issue with Date format - ABAP to XML

    Dear Users,
    We are currently facing an issue with the date formats in XML.
    We have a system (.Net), which has a webservice that we are calling for information from SAP. We created a Proxy class in SAP from the WSDL file and have attempted to use the method that gets us required information based on the Timestamp passed from SAP. However, the timestamp that the INPUT structure uses has a data element XSDDATETIME_Z.
    All we can send from SAP is a simple TIMESTAMP, but the .Net system doesn't accept it since it wants the timestamp in XML format i.e. <dd-mm-yyyy>T<hh:mm:ss>Z. SAP documentation says that the field should automatically do conversion from ABAP to XML format, but that doesn't happen. We don't want to build a string from Timestamp in the XML format and send it out since we might surely miss out on the different cases involved.
    Can anyone please suggest a way for us to send the date out in the required XML format?
    Many thanks!

    I'm having issues generating a BCP XML format file using a fairly unusual column terminator, a double dagger symbol
    ‡ (alt + 0135) which I need to support.
    I'm experiencing this problem with bcp.exe for SQL2008 R2 and SQL2012.
    If I run the following command line:
    bcp MyDB.TMP.Test_Extract format nul -c -x -f "C:\BCP\format_file_dagger_test.xml" -T -S localhost\SQL2012 -t‡
    I end up with a XML format file like so:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <BCPFORMAT xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2004/bulkload/format" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
     <RECORD>
      <FIELD ID="1" xsi:type="CharTerm" TERMINATOR="ç" MAX_LENGTH="255" COLLATION="SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS"/>
      <FIELD ID="2" xsi:type="CharTerm" TERMINATOR="ç" MAX_LENGTH="50"
    .. and so on.
    You will notice that the TERMINATOR="ç" (Minuscule c-cedilla) is output instead of TERMINATOR="‡". The
    ç character, is strangely enough is alt + 135 (and not alt + 0135) so this might more than a coincidence! I know you can specify the codepage but this switch applies the data being imported or extracted and not for the format file
    itself (I tried it anyway).
    In order to use the XML file to bulk import I manually did a text substitution of 'ç' character for '‡' and then BCP imports '‡' data fine.
    This character swap doesn't occur if I generate a non XML format file (the '‡' character is output in the format file correctly) however, this file produces other import errors, which I don't encounter if I use a standard delimiter like a comma. So I have stuck
    with the working XML format file which I prefer.
    Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm planning to automate the generation the of the XML format file and would like to avoid the additional step of text substitution if possible.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ham09,
    According to your description , we do a test and find that the character of the terminator is changed due to the code page of Operation System. When you choose the different time zone in Data and Time bar, and do the same bcp test, you will find it will
    export the different TERMINATOR in your XML format file. For example, you can import the character "ç" (alt + 135) in (UTC-12:00)International Date Line West time zone and (UTC+09:00)Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo time zone, and check if the terminators are different.
    By default, the field terminator is the tab character (represented as \t). To represent a paragraph mark, use \r\n.
    For more information, there is detail about code page(Windows), you can review the following article.

  • Help with Labview for Linux application - datalog to XML format

    Hi,
    I am working on an application that makes use of a PDA for instrument control and data acquisition, and all our code has been written with the use Labview PDA 8.2. The instrument data is returned wirelessly to a remote server, and one of the specifications we set early in the project was the data would be returned in XML format in line with Labview's inbuilt XML schema.
    Unfortunately, this XML funtion is not available on Labview PDA! We have made a change to return the data in Labview's 'Datalog' format, and then we now intend to run an additional application on the server to convert this information to XML before passing the data to our customer's software.
    We have successfully done this with Labview for windows, but our customer's server is Linux based.
    Is anyone aware of someone (or a company) who would be able to take our existing 'datalog-to-XML' vi and compile it for Linux? The program is really simple, and I would hope that all the functionality we use is supported in Labview for Linux.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
    LabVIEW VIs that are developed in a Windows environment can be used in a Linux version of LabVIEW. As long as the VIs have not got Windows specific features such as ActiveX or Windows dll call you can run the VI in Linux. Also there maybe some specific drivers that are not supported under the Linux environment (see link). The VI will simply be recompiled in Linux. The Linux user must have a copy of the Linux LabVIEW Development System installed though.

  • XML file with different format

    Hello
       I have a requirement where the customer needs XML file with different format.  How do I achieve the second format mentioned below instead of first format.
    Normally we create the XML file in the following format:
    - <Entries>
        - <Organization>
            <MemberName>0000000002</MemberName>
            <FullName>BAY GYNECOLOGICAL ASSOCIATES</FullName>
            <OrgId>0000000002</OrgId>
            <OrgType>CUST</OrgType>
       - <AssociatedToOrg>
            <Name>0002</Name>
       - </AssociatedToOrg>
      </Organization>
    Now the customer wants like the following format:
    <Organization MemberName="522_Community_Customer" FullName="522 Community Customer" OrgId="DEA123456" OrgIdType="DEA" >
          <AssociatedToOrg Name="MN"/>
        </Organization>
    Thanks
    Naga

    you can solve it with a XSL mapping. refer to the SDN to know how develop it

  • Create XML format file in bulk insert with a data file with out delimiter

    Hello
    I have a date file with no delimiter like bellow
    0080970393102312072981103378000004329392643958
    0080970393102312072981103378000004329392643958
    I just know 5 first number in a line is for example "ID of bank"
    or 6th and 7th number in a line is for example "ID of employee"
    Could you help me how can I create a XML format file?
    thanks alot

    This is a fixed file format. We need to know the length of each field before creating the format file. Say you have said the first 5 characters are Bank ID and 6th to 7th as Employee ID ... then the XML should look like,
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <BCPFORMAT xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2004/bulkload/format"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <RECORD>
      <FIELD ID="1"xsi:type="CharFixed"LENGTH="5"/>
      <FIELD ID="2"xsi:type="CharFixed"LENGTH="2"/>
      <FIELD ID="3" xsi:type="CharFixed" LENGTH="8"/>
      <FIELD ID="4" xsi:type="CharFixed" LENGTH="14"/>
      <FIELD ID="5" xsi:type="CharFixed" LENGTH="14"/>
      <FIELD ID="6" xsi:type="CharFixed" LENGTH="1"/>
    </RECORD>
    <ROW>
      <COLUMNSOURCE="1"NAME="c1"xsi:type="SQLNCHAR"/>
      <COLUMNSOURCE="2"NAME="c2"xsi:type="SQLNCHAR"/>
      <COLUMN SOURCE="3" NAME="c3" xsi:type="SQLCHAR"/>
      <COLUMN SOURCE="4" NAME="c4" xsi:type="SQLINT"
    />
      <COLUMN SOURCE="5" NAME="c5" xsi:type="SQLINT"
    />
    </ROW>
    </BCPFORMAT>
    Note: Similarly you need to specify the other length as well.

    actually I want to creat a new SOAPMessage for the very beginning like this:
    try{
                MessageFactory mf = MessageFactory.newInstance();
                SOAPMessage msg = mf.createMessage();
                SOAPPart sp = msg.getSOAPPart();
                //create the header container
                SOAPEnvelope se = sp.getEnvelope();
                SOAPHeader sh = se.getHeader();
                SOAPBody sb = se.getBody();
            }catch(Throwable e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            }and I want to get the empty header from this newly created SOAPEnvelop and add my own content into the header as well as the empty body.
    I wrote the code by following the example from the jaxm api.
    can anybody tell me any further information about the NullPointerException?
