Participant.create ignores timezone and locale
Hi,
I create participants in an automatic activity by using:
Java.Util.Locale locale=new Java.Util.Locale("en");
Java.Util.TimeZone timeZone = TimeZone.getTimeZone(arg1 : "Europe/Zurich");
humanParticipant = DirHumanParticipant.create(...);
humanParticipant.changeLocale(locale : locale);
humanParticipant.changeTimezone(timezone : timeZone);
After the creation in the database everything seems to be correct, but if the user logs in for the first time, the language of the workspace is German and if the user goes to the setting the timezone is something in Africa ... If the user then corrects the entries in the settings dialog and saves it, everything works perfect. The user gets the workspace in englisch and the timezone is correct (also after a logout and login). But in the database it seems to me nothing has changed.
Does anyone knows, why the locale and timezone is ignored in this case?

Oracle Support might disagree, but I think it's a bug. Telling you what you already know, but it will always give new Participants the default timezone and language even if you run the changeTimezone( ) and changeLocale( ) methods in logic like this:
locale as Java.Util.Locale
locale = Java.Util.Locale(arg1 : "fr", "")
timeZone as Java.Util.TimeZone = TimeZone.getTimeZone(arg1 : "PST");
timeZone.id = "PST"
humanParticipant.changeLocale(locale : locale);
changeTimezone humanParticipant
using timezone = timeZone
update humanParticipant
humanParticipant = DirHumanParticipant.fetch(session : directorySession, id : name)As shown here, I'm trying to update the participant's timezone and locale using logic. If you happened to check the Directory Service Database, you'd see that the row for the participant was inserted correctly with the right values in the FUEGO_PARTICIPANT table's FUEGO_LOCALE and FUEGO_TIMEZONE ("fr" and "PST") respectively.
As you already discovered, Oracle BPM ignores this and forces these values back to the Engine's default timezone and language when the participant logs in for the first time. Guessing there is a flag set somewhere that indicates that the end user has never logged in.

Best regardsThe easiest way is to use the PropOption_InsertIfMissing option with the SetVal* methods.
Be careful if you have multiple threads accessing the variables at the same time though because if you are creating and deleting variables dynamically while accessing/creating/deleting them from other threads it can lead to race conditions (i.e. crashes and memory corruption). If you need to access the variables from multiple threads at once, I'd recommend creating all the variables upfront, if possible, in the first thread, before any other threads try to access them, otherwise you will need to use a Lock step or step setting to protect access to the variables and any parents variables of variables you are inserting or deleting.

I am trying to Install Exchange on my Lab, getting below error
message.
The Schema Role is installed on Root Domain and trying to install
exchange on Child domain.
1 Root Domain - 1 Child domain. both are located on single site.
“Setup encountered a problem while validating
the state of Active Directory: Exchange organization-level objects have not been created, and setup cannot create them because the local computer is not in the same domain and site as the schema master. Run setup with the /prepareAD parameter and wait for
replication to complete.”

I guess, you didn't completed the initial setup schemaprep and adprep before starting the installation. You can do it as follows:
1. Open command Prompt as administrator and browse to the root of installation cd and run Setup.exe /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
After finishing this,
2. Setup.exe /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:"<organization name>" /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
3. To prepare all domains within the forest run Setup.exe /PrepareAllDomains /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms. If you want to prepare a specific domain run Setup.exe /PrepareDomain:<FQDN of the domain you want to prepare> /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
4. Once you complete all of the 3 steps, install the pre-requisities for Exchange 2013
5. Finally, run the setup program

I created an application and in that application if date is changed the application starts from splash screen on re-entering and if date is not changed and u re-enters the application then it open in page where u leaved.It works fine in our side (Timezone,kolkata ,india even for Timezone,slvaniya,USA) but our USA client is telling that on changing the date it not starts from start-up sequence.Can anyone plz suggest the reason for it.

Remote and Local Site Sync Problems
I have a customer who is using Dreamweaver CS4 on Mac OS X. Dreamweaver is setup to have a local site as our development server(win 2k3) and the remote site as our live web server(win 2k3). The folder structure on both the development and live web server is the same. When you view the path in the manage site window of dreamweaver it shows both remote and local site listed as /Volumes/www/Data. When dreamweaver connects to both of these to sync the files nothing happens since it sees them as the same place.
I have looked in the /Volumes folder on the customers computer and two listings appear for the servers www and www-1. This is not what dreamweaver shows and if you repoint the link to the www-1 folder it just changes back to www.
I have tried to create alias' and symbolic links to distinguish one folder from the other however nothing I seem to change has any effect.
If you use finder on the machine it can distinguish between the two folders I just need to figure out how to make dreamweaver do the same.
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.Unfortunately no I do not have a solution. I was not able to find out at the time and the problem went away with the migration to a content management system for our web server. Also the Develpment team changed hands and the new people all use windows machines.

SPOOL C:\RFV_PROFILE_REPORT.LOG APPEND; -- This is a SQLPlus command, in PL/SQL to write out to a file you will need to call the UTL_FILE package to open a file for writing to. Except that the file you write to will appear on the database server, not your workstation, when the scheduled job runs.
SELECT TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD/MM/YY HH24:MI:SS') FROM DUAL; -- In PL/SQL you need to SELECT columns INTO variables FROM tables. But in fact I guess you want to write the time to file using UTL_FILE again. However, you don't really need to do this, since scheduler will log the start time and run duration itself.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.

The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

Aperture ... Bug .... timezones and smart albums
Hello everyone,
i've just jumped into the mac world a week ago, just bought my first macbook ! Yeah !
I decided to give Aperture a try, and given i've played with it now for 2 days, if this bug I found is really there, NO WAY am I going to pay for such software !
I've been using Picasa on PC for the past couple years now.
Its handling my photo library extremely well: over 50gb of photos, 10 years worth of photos.
So after looking at all the Aperture videos on the apple site, I decided to give it a try to replace my picasa, since there is no picasa for my new mac.
The bug I found (and I'm a newbie !, 2 days of playing, struggling to import my pictures, and bam ... bug .... hummmm).
I tried importing only 1 folder in my library.
I'm french and this summer, went to USA for holiday. Western deserts and all.
So, I took my folder:
2008 08 09 - USA Grand West
And tried importing it.
It contains around 100 photos of the 1st 3 days of the trip.
My camera was set to French time, so at import I appreciated the "Change time thingy" and set it to Los Angeles time.
Did the import in a new project.
Great.
All pictures in the project. Exif Date updated to los angeles time. GREAT !
Now.
I want to have them show up on a day to day basis.
So, I created smart albums giving the date I wanted.
August 9 2008, August 10 2008 and August 11 2008.
It DOES NOT WORK ! BUGGGGGGGG
photos taken on the 3rd day, having correct EXIF date metadata, show 11/08/2008 for the date (correct), however they are not shown in the August 11 2008 album !
They are shown in the August 12 2008 album !
Reason !
The smart album is using the wrond date. The French one.
Since there is 11 hours difference.
Some late August 11 (Los Angeles time) pictures are pushed to August 12 (early morning French time).
Am I the only one with this bug ?
The only fix I found for now that works, is adding 3 rules to the smart albums:
- exif: day of the month = 11
- exif: month of the yar = 08
- exif: year = 2008
That works.
However there is NO WAY, i'm setting up 50gb worth of smart albums having to apply 3 specific rules to compensate for a bugged out calendar rule that does not work.
Any ideas ? fixes ?

When i've done the import, and look at that pictures metadata, the date/time is corrected. It shows up as 15:42 20080811 (youre writting).
So if the metadata is correct, I really dont understand how the computers time and timezone has any effect on the smart albums ... could you explain ?
Unless what you are suggesting, is that the smart album date is applied to the computers time zone, and thus when searching for the files, it automatically does a conversion of the time of the picture to fit the computers timezone => thus my 15:42 20080811 set to Los Angeles time zone, is researched using a French timezone and thus found on 00:42 20080812 ?
Wow, if so, this would be a stretch !
And if this is the answer, I do not understand the "feature" to import using a different time zone, and not be able to search according to it ?

In respect to the workaround you describe. Its effectively what I did, I sorted using 3 criterias: exif day of the month = 11, month of the year = 08, year = 2008. And for some reason that works !
Would there be another workaround? Instead of using the TimeZone panel, import them untouched, and doing a batch Time change on the pictures once imported and leaving them at the same Paris timezone, but compensating for 9 hours, effectively, bringing them to 15:42 Paris time, instead of Los Angeles time ?
If my memory is correct when having played with this, the batch time modification, did not compensate the days: Effectively, clicking 9 times on the down arrow when showing 00:42 12th did not change the 12th into an 11th ... -
How to change value of instance variable and local variable at run time?
As we can change value at run time using debug mode of Eclipse. I want to do this by using a standalone prgram from where I can change the value of a variable at runtime.

Issue: We were able to create the Project with the FM (BAPI_BUS2001_CREATE) but having the issue with the creation of WBSE(Tasks), the user will be entering the inputs for Project Definition, Project Profile and WBSE which are to be created in the UI.
The problem is we are not able to create the WBS elements using BAPI BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI .i will send u the code below .Can anybody correct

Create sub folders in "local" - Map a network drive.
I am using Docs2Go and when I save a document, a see an option to save on "local"; thats where I save them. finding these documents is becoming difficult. How can I create sub folders in local disk so that documents can be organised.

I just started a free trial of the Adobe XI product that allows me to create an editable PDF. I'm done creating the form and ready to export it. When I click Export PDF from the File menu, it says Adobe encountered an unexpected error. What am I doing wrong?
Good to know — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
"Adobe" is the name of the company.
"XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
"Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.

I am not allowed to sign in with my Apple ID on iTunes Connect when I am trying to publish my book in iBooks Author. I do not understand why because I have fulfilled the first steps creating an account and informed my IRS tax number...
The recommendation is always to make another ID for use with a paid books account. And while I can't swear this is at the root of your issue, you should in any case reach out to Apple for assistance on this one, I think.
