  • Passing parameter to a dynamic page portlet

    We need to create a drill-down report using pl/sql, but it's not working when we passed a parameter. We did the following:
    1. Create a package and a store procedure.
    2. The store procedure creates the report and the look-and-feel of the report.
    3. Create a dynamic page with the following code:
    <ORACLE>DECLARE
    BEGIN
    mvdata.interbay_ops_rpts_pkg.ops_detail_procssr_rpt(p_processor);
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    4. Set the parameter to "public" in the "customization form display option".
    5. Create a page group and a page.
    6. Clicked on properties of page and then clicked on the parameter tab.
    7. Added a parameter named "p_processor_code"
    8. We also added the portlet parameter under the "portlet parameter values" and set the parameter to be a page parameter and select the name of the parameter and click OK.
    9. Launch the URL: ttp://iasdev01.bftg.com:7782/pls/portal/url/page/PG_GRP_DEVELOPMENT/PG_OPS_DETAIL_PROCESSOR?p_processor_code=DUBOIS.
    10. When we tried to launch the application we get an empty report(doesn't execute the parameter).
    11. Edit the page and went into layout mode.
    12. Click on the "edit default" of the dynamic page portlet and put the value of the parameter and it works without any problems.
    I don't understand why it doesn't take the parameter with the page url. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I had more luck with PL/SQL items. Try something like this:
    declare
    zip varchar2(10);
    begin
    zip := portal.wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('zip', 'a');
    if zip='94065' then
       ... do something ...
    end if;
    end;Peter

  • How to pass parameter between two jsp pages using web link (not form)

    Hi Friends,
    I have two jsp pages and would like to pass a parameter from one JSP page (one.jsp) to another JPS page (two.jsp)
    in one.jsp
    <a href="two.jsp?ant="<%=ant%">"> <%=antName%> </a><br>
    I don't know how to pass value of parameter "ant" to two.jsp from one.jsp.
    Can anyone help this? Thank you in advance</a>

    Looks like you've got it almost right - just an extra unneeded "
    <a href="two.jsp"?ant=<%= ant %>"><%=antName%></a>
    which should render on the page as something like
    My Ant Task
    When you click the link, it should pass that parameter, and you can get it via request.getParameter().

  • Help - Passing parameter to report using page parameter

    I have a SQL Report on a page
    The report query is
    select * from scott.emp where deptno = :department
    The URL for the page containing the report is:
    http://developer03.fis:7777/portal/page?_pageid=95,36455&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL
    I have added a page parameter = departnment
    and associated the page parameter to the report bind variable in the Portlet Parameter Values as follows:
    department = Page Parameter, department
    I displayed the page by going to the above URL
    and then added &department=10 to the end of the URL in the browser address.
    I expected the report to display records for deptno = 10, but the query didn't return any records.
    Anyone know what's wrong??
    Thanks Larry

    Yes, except you need to add &department=10 to the end of the page URL, not what I had.

  • Passing parameter to a portal page that display a WSRP portlet ?

    I have created, deployed and regisered a WSRP portlet to Portal 10.1.4. I also create a portal page used to render this portlet. I would like to pass in a parameter xx (thru the HTTPRequest) when calling this page and have it visible to the portlet inside the page. Something like http://host:port/portal/page/portal/myPortlets/portletA?xx=123 where
    "http://host:port/portal/page/portal/myPortlets/portletA" represented my portal page and "xx=123" is what I want my page to see.
    Is it even possible/support by Portal 10.1.4 ?

  • Passing parameter to custom JSP page

    From an appraisal, I am adding a link thru personalization that opens a custom JSP page in a new window. I somehow need to pass the appraisal_id context from the old page to the new page so the new page displays the appropriate information.
    This is tricky because the original appraisal page isn't calling the new page within its code. Is there any way possible to pass a parameter such as appraisal id to this new page?
    Thanks for any help.

  • How to pass parameter from SSO login page to ADF application page?

    We have ADF-JSF application (running on AS 1013) that is being protected by OID running on AS 1012. SSO login page contains (among others) paramter ssousername and I wish to pass this to my ADF application. For the testing purpose I created ADF application entry point page that has something like this:
    <h:outputText value="#{param.ssousername}"/>and my sso login page has:
    <input type="text" size="30" maxlength="50" name="ssousername" value="<%=str_user%>">OID and ADF OC4j are running on two different servers, same network.
    So after successful login, when my page displays param passed is NULL?!
    Why?

    I solved it with the following....when my page loads, I execute test method:
        public void processLogin(String ssousername) {
             Object o  = JSFUtils.getUserFromSSOLogin();
             if (o!=null) System.out.println(o.toString());
        public static Object getUserFromSSOLogin(){
            FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            return ctx.getExternalContext().getRemoteUser();
        }

  • Pass parameter through standard page "import xml content and actions"

    Dear Portal experts,
    As you know, a standard portal page is configured to allow the import of XML file. It is located in the portal in the path system admin -> transport -> xml content and actions -> import
    I configured a quick link u201Cimportu201D to the page so now the link http://myserver:port/irj/portal/import allows me to access directly to this screen.
    What I would like to do now is to pass the parameter related to u201Cfile nameu201D through this screen meaning that I would like that http://myserver:port/irj/portal/ import/filename=C:\test.xml  fills automatically the fields u201CXML fileu201D with  C:\test.xml
    Please do you know how to achieve this ?
    Thank you very much and regards

    hi,
    @Maksim :
    When user launch an URL like http://myserver:port/irj/portal/ import/*filename=C:\test.xml, he is requested to provide username and password; as this link is a shortcut for the upload xml page, there is a check of authorization and only portal admin that have authorization and permission on this page/iview will be able to upload xml file through the URL. Hope this clarify.
    @Kumar :
    thank you for your answer. What a pity to not be able to pass parameter through standard portal page/iview particularly knowing that we can pass paramater through many kinds of iviews (transactional iview, url iview, VC iview...). I explored some option on file com.sap.portal.ivs.init.par but this was unsuccessful. However, thanks to this [link bellow|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/ComponenttouploadXMLfilewithPCD+objects], I was able to upload through URL the XML file.
    The problem is that I can upload only XML file that are stored in the server not in the local user computer. My requirement is to be able to upload local XML file stored on user's computer.
    If someone could provide and idea/solution, I would be very grateful.
    Cheers

  • Pass parameter jspx page to portlet

    Hello guys, i have one question about portlet. Curently i have 2 application, 1 weblogic portal application and 1 portlet producer application. Both project was successfully setup. I already put 1 portlet created in the portlet producer into 1 page in the weblogic portal application. The problem is, how can i pass parameter from weblogic portal page (which i call the portlet) to the portlet. Thank you

    Which type of portlet you are using jsr 168 /286 or oracle pdk or others ?
    Why do you need to pass parameters from portal page to portlet ?
    You can very well use taskflow to achieve the same thing in a much easier way that portlet way.
    If you are using jsr 286 portlet then you have to try with WSRP Soap call to get the required parameter. but I am not sure on how to achieve the final goal.

  • Pass parameter to page fragment in dynamic region

    Hello.
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.
    Can anyone explain to me how to pass parameter to page fragment in dynamic region?
    My situation is:
    I have only 1 page: index.jspx.
    This page include 2 elements:
    1. <af:tree>
    <af:tree id="t1" var="node" rowSelection="single"
    value="#{bindings.FpsrVO1.treeModel}" rendered="true" expandAllEnabled="true"
    contentDelivery="lazy" initiallyExpanded="false"
    contextMenuSelect="false" fetchSize="-1">
    <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
    <af:commandLink id="cl1" rendered="true"
    actionListener="#{backingBeanScope.RegionDynamicBean.treeClick}">
    <af:outputFormatted id="outForm" value="#{node.Name}" rendered="true"/>
    <f:attribute name="menuId" value="#{node.Code}"/>
    </af:commandLink>
    </f:facet>
    </af:tree>2. <af:region> :
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion1.regionModel}"
    id="r1"/>Region could be changed to 3 bounded taskFows wich have only one page fragment.
    Can anyone explain to me how i can send <f:attribute name="menuId" value="#{node.Code}"/> from tree element to page fragment which will be rendered on screen?

    You can pass a map to the dynamic region which would take the task flow parameters as key-value pairs.
    <taskFlow id="dynamicRegion1"
    taskFlowId="${backingBeanScope.TestPageBean.dynamicTaskFlowId}"
    activation="deferred"
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding"
    parametersMap="#{backingBeanScope.TestPageBean.parameters}"/>
    When reloading the taskflow, ensure that the necessary parameters are loaded into the taskflow.
    Check this example exactly based on your use-case:
    http://adfsampleapplications.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TaskflowParamSampleApp.zip

  • Passing parameter value back from Child region [BTF] to Parent

    Hello,
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6. I have a use-case where I need to pass value back from child taskflow to parent.
    Let me elaborate the use-case:
    I have a main page which is implemented as BTF with fragment. This main page contains a child region [again a BTF with fragment].
    I am passing a parameter value from parent page to it's region using taskflow input parameter. Now value for one of the parameter changes inside child/region taskflow and I need to make this value available to main page taskflow.
    This parameter is just pageFlowScope variable, so basically not coming from any VO.
    I know that taskflow can return value via return parameter but I don't know if that is true for taskflow implemented as region in a page.
    Is it possible to communicate the pageFlowScope variable value from child region to it's parent page?
    Thanks,
    Jai

    Hi Frank,
    I tried to follow steps mentioned in your post but encountered error that "The scope of the referenced object #{viewScope.parentBeanName} is shorter than referring object childBeanName"
    Let me explain what I did:
    1. Created a bean parentBeanName in viewScope
    2. Created another bean childBeanName in pageFlowScope
    3. In ChildBean.java, created a private property parentBeanProperty for Class [ParentBean] and generated the accessors
    4. Created a input parameter in region TF as:
    <input-parameter-definition id="__28">
          <name id="__27">parentBeanParam</name>
          <value>#{pageFlowScope.childBeanName.parentBeanProperty}</value>
          <class>ParentBean</class>
          <required/>
    </input-parameter-definition> 5. Since my mainPage contains child page as region. I added parameter to mainPageDef to pass it to child TF, like this
    <parameter id="parentBeanParam" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/uimodel"
                       value="#{viewScope.parentBeanName}"/>6. Introduced a client method in childBeanName that is called from UI. There I am retrieving parentBeanParam instance from pageFlowScope and call setter method of my variable inside ParentBean.java
    7. Ran the page but encountered the error.
    Did I miss something somewhere?
    Initially I got error where #{viewScope.parentBeanName} returned NULL due to parentBeanName not instantiated. I created a variable in mainPageDef with it's default value pointing to #{viewScope.parentBeanName.variableName}, which I guess will instantiate the bean in viewScope.
    After this I got error of shorter scope. It never reached to code in Step 6 during execution cycle.
    FYI - My application is based on UIShell and essentially a one page application. Main page referred above is also a jsff based on BTF. I hope, this should not affect this implementation but I thought of at least mention it.
    Thanks,
    Jai

  • Package Apps Customer Tracking Modal Page how to pass parameter

    On package application "Customer Tracking", there is good example about Modal Page. Quite simple but it work quite nicely.
    The step to create this Modal Page:
    - Create new region, set display poinrt: After Header and use region template: Modal Region and set the Static ID (eg. ActivityModal)
    - Create the page item and put it on the above region (eyample: Name, Company etc.)
    - Create a button, set the action to "Redirect to URL" and enter the URL target to: javascript:openModal('ActivityModal');
    Now when you click on the button, the modal page will be display.
    My question:
    How can I pass a parameter to the modal page, example: I want to pass text 'Johnny' to the Name page item which is on the modal region.
    Any idea ?

    use the $s function right after.   I used this to pass first name to the field.
    javascript:openModal('addContact');$s('P110_CON_FIRST','#FIRST_NAME#');
