Password control of sbRIO

Hi!
I have some problem with the password control of the sbRIO (NI9605). I have setup an password in web configuration, and I can see it works at the web configuration and FTP. But I have problem with it from teh source code.
When I run the above I get the error:
Code: -2147220598 (The username or password is invalid.)

ANd I have many times tested the password is correct, I have also tried with password 1234 both in web configuration and here and same result.
If I do not connect the password (leave blank) it starts up fine, but when I try to save config:
I get the following error:

I have attached my file, and it is not working even I have setup the password to 1234.
Yes it is exactly that way I am setting up the password. The only difference is that I am going directly to "NI Web-based Configuration and Monitoring" and setup the password (not through MAX), but I have tested it through MAX and it does not give any difference.

I know about the instructions to wipe my iPad and restore it. Just REALLY wanted to avoid doing it.
What I don't understand is WHY the passcode function was enabled when I NEVER set a passcode. I had passcode functionality TURNED OFF on both our iPads. When I set the iOS update to run (then went to bed) it should have SKIPPED setting a passcode during the update... since I never typed one in.
Like I said, using 0000 opened my kid's iPad after the iOS update. (thankfully!) But then I tried it on mine it got locked out.
Can't figure why the iOS update turned it on and has now set some random password that I could never know.

I am brand new to iMac, I detest the password control, I am the only user of the iMac, how can I remove the password control?

Not going to happen. The previous advice just allows logging in, using the username and password, w/o your intervention. Installing software and other activities will require you to enter an admin's credentials. That's the Mac OS X way. Since you're new, see these:

Enabling Password controls in the Default Profile

After sharing with customer metalink note 114930.1, customer has the following questions:
1. Will Oracle suggest enabling password controls in the profile "Default" that is created during the installation without those controls enabled?
2. Oracle accounts (SYS, SYSTEM etc.) are created with the default profile associated with them (at that time there are no manually created profiles). Does Oracle permit assigning other profiles (created after installation) to those most critical accounts

1/ I don't know if Oracle would suggest that, but I would either enable password control if you have such a requirement, wherever you set it up, or don't touch anything if it's just to leave it disabled... I usually create specific profiles for the users and set up the limits according to the kind/type of users they are.
2/ Don't you have no test instance?

Password controlled guest accounts on wireless router

I would like to be able to grant guests temporary access to my home network without giving out my permanent WEP ID. Is there anyway that I can create a guest account, with a separate password, which I can then eliminate after their need for access is over? I have the Actiontec MI424-WR router.
If there is no hardware based solution to this, does anyone know of third-party software that could do the trick?

Messed up password control settings for sleep

I recently thoughtlessly installed some trialware for face recognition and as a result I can't put my mac to sleep anymore with password protection clicked because no warning message comes up when I do .. I'm forced to reboot the computer if I have password ticked, because it just produces a black screen since uninstalling the offending software. Can I fix this without having to reinstall my whole OS?

Exporting PDF's inspite of secure password controls

I just paid $20 to export a secure doc. Stupid me right. Of course it didn't work and Adode is no help because they don't want people editing docs they have allowed people to set passwords for in the first place. Has anyone figured out how to get around secure settings?

User Password Control

I have a Leopard server setup with user accounts, but no home directories. I plan on using the server for calendaring, dhcp, dns, vpn and some web applications. These web applications are configured to auth against the user's Open Directory account on the server or using LDAP against Open Directory.
How does a user change their password on the Mac OS X server?

Password Control

We have a concern that what if the basis user administrator uses the user id, which he has just created, for sometime and then communicates it to the actual user. The user promptly changes his password and starts using it. But some damage has already been done which may come to light after some time (if at all).
Is there a facility in SAP which helps in this case? Any body who faced same questions? Any solution - technical or administrative?

you are referring to the problem of "remote function calls with SAPGUI usage" (option -GUI when using external RFC clients).
Yes, indeed this is a (general) problem - not limited to just the function module you have mentioned. Actually an "RFC connection with attached SAPGUI" is functionally similiar to an ordinary "SAPGUI connection". Consequently, the ability to interact with the user should be used to perform a (mandatory) password change dialog (when required). The fact that this is currently not done (although technically possible) could be considered a "functional deficit" (=> feature request) or "functional defect" (=> bug report).
Well, you can set profile parameter rfc/reject_expired_passwd = 1 (see <a href="http://service.sap.com/~iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/161146">SAP note 161146</a>) but it impacts the entire system.
A more decent way to limit the impacts is to restrict the lifetime of initial passwords. This is possible as of ABAP 6.20 (see <a href="http://service.sap.com/iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/450452">SAP note 450452</a>: profile parameter login/password_max_reset_valid and was refined with ABAP 7.00 (see <a href="http://service.sap.com/iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/862989">SAP note 862989</a>: profile parameter login/password_max_idle_initial and login/password_max_idle_productive).
(Don't get confused: all those profile parameters are referring to initial/reset/expired passwords, except login/password_max_idle_productive, of course).
On the other hand:
under certain circumstances it might be desired to ignore password change requirements (e.g. when accessing backend systems through an Enterprise Portal), see <a href="http://service.sap.com/~iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/869218">SAP note 869218</a>.
In general it is not possible for an ABAP backend to interact with the user in order to enforce a password change. In that case it is the responsibility of the RFC client to determine whether a password change is required and to react accordingly, resulting in password change requests (using RFC function module SUSR_USER_CHANGE_PASSWORD_RFC). <a href="http://service.sap.com/~iron/fm/011000358700000431401997E/899614">SAP note 899614</a> contains some corrections which enable the external RFC client to display detailed error messages (in case of rejected password change requests).

What is the password for user CONTROL?

Hello experts,
I just installed MaxDB 7.8 64bit, but i can not login successfully.
I opened Command Prompt, enter sqlcli, and then /c -d MaxDB -u CONTROL,123abc
system told me authentication error, sqlstate 28000......
I feel strange that the password was specified by me during installation process, but why it can not be connect?
I also tried password CONTROL but also failed.
Could anyone help to give me some suggestions?

It doesn't work because CONTROL is not a sql-logon.
It's a DBM (database manager operator) logon.
This kind of user manages the database instance. Starting up, shutting down, taking backups - that kind of stuff.
This is the user that moves the box.
It doesn't have the option to look into the box.
CONTROL cannot logon via SQL to the database.
Either use dbmcli to connect to the DBMServer or use a different SQL user to logon.
BTW: this stuff is well documented in... wait for it... wait... THE DOCUMENTATION.

Password error at laptop startup windows 8.1

Firstly, I cannot understand why MS is so intrusive and over the top in password control at startup.
My machine, and software and I paid for it, therefore I own it together with the right to use it and all its software without interference from some mega-maniacal giant like microsoft!
The only time I should need to login to MS is if I wish to visit the Store or request assistance!
My story,
4 days ago I spilt a glass of sweet sherry over my Acer Aspire 5742 keyboard.
The laptop went dead.
Dismantled laptop to MB, cleaned up sprayed out with isopropyl alcohol rebuilt and all ok.
KB slightly sticky.
Login to laptop rejected, nothing worked. Second computer onhand reset windows PW went back to laptop- no success.
It would seem that the internal Registry control is at fault (my guess) - laptop connected to internet.
Can anyone help.

Sorry, two problems.
Firstly, with the keyboard malfunctioning it was impossible to blind type the password into the Microsoft account.
When trying to fix the keyboard issue it was necessary to restart or reboot the laptop this caused the requirement to login to the Microsoft account which was impossible. Because I was unable to correct typing because the pw is not visible. Hence my suggestion
that the pw field should be visible text.
I had switched off the requirement for users to login at startup.
My question is “why am I forced by Microsoft to login to my Microsoft account at Startup?”
My observation is that this should not be the case and further that I should not be denied access to my computer.
The keyboard issue is hardware, which I am still struggling with, could software be an issue as well, do you think?
Do you think a replacement keyboard will fix the kb problem?
I have connected a ms wireless kb and mouse via USB to the laptop but the random input errors still occur. This unit works very well on a separate desktop.
Your comments and observations would be most welcome.

The parental controls built into Mac OS X 10.4 can only restrict your child's account to certain applications - not enforce a time limit on that specific game or application.
If the basics of parental control are not up to what you want - you might look to a third party product such as http://www.lumacode.com/macminder/

How to Assign User name and password to the login screen on button click without user type...

My requirement is as follows,
I have three inputs which is User name, Password and URL. URL may be like anything like for example gmail,yahoo,hotmail like that.
No need to authenticate the URL. Just i want to place the credentials in User ID and Password controls.
On button click the URL should open in browser and the credentials should place in the controls in log in page.
How to achieve it. Ultimate thought is the user should know the "Password",only admin know the password.

Hello,
If URL's are internal (not third party) then you can do this by modifying both applications. If you are trying to do this with third party then you have to contact product owner. I don't think there is any code or solution for third party application where
you can set values of controls.
For internal URL's you can create custom web service and call this web service in both the applications. One to get value from first app and then second to set value in another app.

Controlling Wi-Fi

Does anyone know how to permanently disable the Wi-Fi on an iPhone or iPod touch? I know how to temporarily disable it (tap on "Settings", then tap on "Wi-Fi" and slide the bar to "Off"). Is it even possible to disable it permanently?
Alternatively, is there a way to only permit use of the Wi-Fi with a password, similar to "Parental Controls"? (Note: I am not referring to a network password, but a password to be able to turn on Wi-Fi capability.)
I have been through the manual and discussion forums, but have not come across this topic.

Sending password secured attachment in Workflow notification

We have a requirement where a CSV attachment sent through a workflow notification has to be password controlled.
The password will be communicated to the recepient through a seperate notification.
Is this feasible? and what are the options to implement this?
