Payment block "R" in accouting document of AP.
Dear all,
I found the vendor item in an accouting document has been set as block for payment "R" - Invoice verification. This accouting document was generated via MIRO.
But now this block has been removed in accouting document, and now I can't find the block reason for the related invoice via MRBR.
I want to know if there is a method, that I can find the block reason, because I am not sure if this block is set due to tolerance limit.
Or is there any other reason to set payment block "R" to a vendor, except tolerance limit.
Thank you for your help.
BR,
Christina
Hi,
If you have maintained the QM Control key in the material master which has invoice block tick in the setting. the standard behavior of the SAP system is as the following:
If to the material the QM in procurement is active and in the QM control key invoice block is active the invoice will be blocked for quality reasons if there is still no usage decision for the inspection lot or if
the inspection lot is rejected.
The invoice itself will be blocked automatically, the Payment Block Key will be set to R. The Blocking reason I is not visible in the invoice and has nothing to do with the settings in OMR9.
As per the online documentation:
Quality Inspection (I)
If a material is defined as being relevant for quality management, goods receipts for this material are posted to stock in quality inspection. Invoices for the material are blocked until the inspection has been
successfully completed.
If more than one goods receipt is posted for an order item, an inspection is carried out for every goods receipt. In Invoice Verification, the system reacts differently depending on whether goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification is active:
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification is defined in the purchase order.
The invoice is blocked if the inspection has not been completed for the goods receipt.
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification is not defined in the purchase order.
The invoice is blocked if any goods receipts are still in quality inspection. If an invoice is posted before the goods are received, it cannot be blocked for quality inspection.
Hope the informations are useful to you!

Payment Block A in ERS document
Experts,
When we put an A blcok in the vendor master and post invoices using LIV, the invoice is posted. When you display the invoice document, you will not see the A block on document level. We know that when the invoice is due, the payment proposal will report that the invoices can not be paid due to the A block in the vendor master. The A block need to be removed from the VM to be able to pay the invoices.
However, if we post ERS invoices for the same vendor, the ERS document posted contain the A blcok on document level and we need to remove the A block on document level.
Why is there a difference between ERS and "normal" invoices with these A blocks ?
Appreciate your feed back
Thanks

Default payment block should come in document
Hi,
My client requirement is whenever they will post any invoice document it should be blocked for payment.
i just want to know that how to do that.
Thanks
rajAlternatively, you can also block it in terms of payment.
This gets automatically blocked for payment.
But, I would recommend you should go with substitution in GGB1 and assign the same in OBBH.

To set payment block to 'A' in F-59 transaction on the original document.
When I run the transaction f-59 for a document, my requirement is that I should set the payment block to 'A' for the original document.
I tried using the BTE - sample_process_00001120, but it doesn't seem to update the value for the original document or the current document that gets posted.
Kindly suggest how i can handle this.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
Try the following BTE's for changing the Payment Block for the current document. Change the value T_BSEG-ZLSPR.
00001020 POST DOCUMENT: Prior to final checks
00001025 POST DOCUMENT: Final checks completed
00001030 POST DOCUMENT: Posting of standard data
00001050 POST DOCUMENT: Accounting interface
Think that for updating the payment block in Original Document, we should try with some FI document change BAPI.

Payment Block Not stopping the payment to vendor??
Hi All,
we have a problem related to Payment Block option in Vendor Invoice.
by using FB02 We have updated the payment block for MIRO accounting document against the vendor line item.
while processing the vendor payment the blocked invoice is appearing for payment and it is allowing to make payment against this invoice.
is there any setting to activate the payment block or any configuration is to be done to do so.
please guide us.
thanks & regards,
shashi kanthHi,
Generally we use Payment block for Automatic payments with Tcode F110.
If you would like to use payment block for normal payment, Create a new payment block or change existing payment block Tick Manual payment block option.
Path :- Out going pamyment --> OG payments global settings --> Define payment block reasons..

BAPI for set payment block in FV60
Hi,
I need to set the payment block for the documents created by the transaction FV60.
'BAPI_INCOMMINGINVOICE_PARK' post a park document but it does not change the payment block.
Do you know which BAPI can set this payment block?
Thanks,
moorthyThanks,
Yes, you are right. But you can crete a document in FV60 which does not posted in bseg. that means the document is parked. In this case the FI..... function module cannot be used as it reads BSEG. That I have tried.
Do you know how to change the payment block of a parked document?
Thanks for your help,

Documents in Payment block in F110 run
Dear friends,
I have a specific query in the F110 run, wherein the documents which are having payment block appear in the exception list of the F110 run. Is there any functionality in the Automatic Payment program, wherein i can avoid these blocked items to even appear in the F110 proposal?? In short, i do not want the blocked items to be picked up by the F110 pay proposal and run.
Please respond.

Payment block by default un Residual items documents
Hi
I was wondering why SAP is setting a payment block by default when creating a "Residual item" document. Does anybody knows where is configured this behavior?
thanks a lot
RafaHi
While you are creating Residual item document there is no setting for payment block.
Please verify in Vendor Master data for the same.

TP Document getting Payment Blocked after F110 Print
Hi All,
We're encountering an issue in F110 Payment Run:
After F110 Payment Run, F110 Document Number has a Payment Block "A" when verified in FB03
Normally this is not the case. Has anybody encountered this issue?Hi,
After checking the tcode, the payment term has no tick-mark for blocking payments.
Any other possible causes for this? I've checked the vendor master data? -
Clearing document with payment block
Hi All,
Need to ask, I have an invoice from MIRO -> payment block is = R
I also have down payment -> payment block is = A
When I do partial clearing using F-44 the system won't block me from clearing those documents.
My question is... if those documents have payment block indicator, why SAP allows them to be cleared ?
Thanks,
-M-Hi,
the payment block key able to block manual payment means the block key will take effect when posting outgoing payment(F-53) or incoming payment(F-28). When posting the two kind of payment, you cannot clear the open items of AR/AP with this kind block key.
However, the block key cannot block the simple clearing transaction(F-44) as you said above. Therefore, the block key cannot block the business that posting payment/down payment at first, then clearing AP using F-44.
In summary, payment block key normally used for automatic payment rather than manual payment. -
Set Payment block for documents generated by txn FBCJ
Is there a way to block the FI documents (receipts) from FBCJ?
I mean, when we create a cash receipts (repayment froma a vendor).
I set the payment condition in the vendor master data in order to block all the invoices generated but for the cash journal txn doesn't work.
Is it possible to add the field Payment Condition (ZTERM) or Payment Block Status (ZLSPR) directly in FBCJ??
Any idea??
thx in advance.Dear Pham,
I don't have any idea about down payment process, so straightly I can't answer your requirement
Please go through this SAP help link it may help you about down payment process.

Payment block only document type UE
Hi,
My client requirement is to block payment only for UE type. How to achieve this? can anyone suggest me on this.
govindHi Govindraj,
For blocking the payments for UE document types write a validation for any newly created documents.
For the already posted documents try to create a test case using the transaction SCAT and record for FB09.
where give the company code and fiscal year and select the account type lets suppose 'K' and click on document list and give the document type UE and execute and try to change the payment block as Bloack for payment i..,e "A" and save.
If you already have the document numbers then try to record in that fashion and save.
Then download the variant accordingly and execute. -
Accounting document payment block
Hi friends
I have a issue on payment block on accounting document
Accounting document got blocked with payment block P( payment request). i have check the log there is no manual changes in the docuemnt.can you tell me what are other reasons blocking accounting document.
regards
balajiHi Balaji,
Please check whether the invoice is blocked at header level in the basic data by entering R in the payment block field on the payment tab page.If so remove the same.
Also invoice can also be blocked for a single item by manually selecting the MA (Manual blocking reason) field on the item screen.
Even if you not manually block invoices at header or item level, the system automatically sets the payment block in the vendor line of the FI Document.
If above possibilities are not there check whether you activated stochastic blocking facility in customizing;
Logistics Inovice Verification---> Invoice Block->Stochastic Block---> Activate Stochastic Block
In this type of block if the invoice value is lareger than or euqual to the threshold value, the probability that invoice will getblocked is same as that of given percentage.
Stochastic blocks are vlid for entireinvoice and not at item level.
I hope it helps,
Regards,
Tushar Patankar
