Payment History In Credit management

Hi all,
How to activate the Payment History in Credit Management(FD32).
Regards
Talluri

Hi Talluri
If you want to activate payment history in FD32 then in XD02->Company code data tab->payment transactions tab check the box payment history and save it
Now when you do billing and forward it to FI for the blocked documents then the payment history will be updated

  • Link between Payment Terms and Credit Management .

    Hi Friends
Where and how does Payment Terms interact with Credit Management ? Is it with Horizon date or open items check ?
    Regards
    Mahesh

    Hi
Payment terms means the time given to a customer or vendor to pay the value of goods.
credit management is used to check whether the customer has excedded his credit limit given to him.
An agreement the company has with its customers or vendors, including:
    Payment period
    Price list
    Total discount in the document
This information is used to calculate prices for the items; the due
dates of invoices and the total discount.
A key functional area of mySAP CRM that provides credit check with use of information about payment history and credit risk analysis.
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Assign points if useful.

  • Effect of Payment Terms in Credit Management

Can Any One tell me the effect of Payment terms in Credit management. How the effect will be for different Payment terms .and i want to know the implication of it.
    Regards
    Madhav

    hello, friend.
a simple effect of payment terms on credit management is that when a customer open receivables remains uncleared beyond terms set, then credit management will allow the system to automatically either block any sales transactions or issue a warning message when these transactions are processed.
this feature is complementary to other control parameters such as credit limit (value), document value, open items, longest open items, etc.
    regards.

  • Payment History upload in Credit control area

    HI
I am working on implementation project and my client requires to upload the Payment History in the credit control area. We are only updating the A/R opening balance from the legacy system and no transactions data are uploaded.  Please advise how to upload the payment history from the legacy system.
    Regards
    Murali

    Hi Ravi
    Thanks for the info.
The payment history is not an input field in FD32 and it is updated through an internal program based on FI payment posting in A/R.  My question was to find out whether there is any standard transaction to upload the payment history

  • Credit Management Process based on Terms of Payment.

    Hi All,
My Client wants to use SAP Credit Managment Process. The SAP is currently being used but without Credit Management. As per my initial discussion I have enclosed the requirments below. Your Kind Help will be highly appreciated.
    1.     The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
    2.     The Initial Requirement is based on Terms of Payment. If the Number of Days is Overdue for the Invoice for a particular Customer, the system should issue a warning message (in the Form of Mail or any other way) which can be shown as evidence to the Customer for collection of Payment so that further Sales Transactions can take place.
(Is there the standard Process in Credit Management based on Terms of Payment)
    3.     In the next step Value Base Credit Check has to be implemented. The Value will be set for a particular Customer in Credit Master. When the Sales Order is raised and if the Credit Limit is exceeded the System should issue the warning message. Based on the Warning Message Issued an email should triggered to the particular person in Finance that the Credit Limit for a particular person has been exceeded and Credit Limit needs to be increased.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sam.

    Dear Mr F Farooq,
    1. The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
Do the following configurations for credit management :
    Refer the following link.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/CreditManagementConfigaration
Now for this requirement, since different billing documents for the same customer  can have different payment terms (whcih means different billing will be due on different date) , please make the following changes in OVA8
    Check for 'oldest open item'
Now follow my reply in the below thread.
Sales order to be blocked based on customer payment terms and credit limit
You can use WORKFLOW to trigger mail when such a message is triggered in the sales order , due to credit check.
Ask your ABAP-er for details on workflow.
Just configure according to the thread given for 1st POINT.
CHECK FOR DYNAMIC and set reaction as 'C' and check STATUS /BLOCK.
Maintain the credit limit in the FD32.
Now when the sales order value exceeds the credit limit , a message will be triggered.
Use the concept of WORKFLOW to create mail based on this message .
When the user gets mail, he can maintain the new credit limit in FD32 and release the document for delivery/billing in VKM3.
Revert back if there is any issues.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Credit management and Terms of Payment

    Hi
Can anybody throw some light on the role of Terms of Payment in .Credit Management.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravi

    Dear sankar ravi,
    Credit management
    Purpose
Outstanding or uncollectible receivables can spoil the success of the company greatly. Credit Management enables you to minimize the credit risk yourself by specifying a specific credit limit for your customers. Thus you can take the financial pulse of a customer or group of customers, identify early warning signs, and enhance your credit-related decision-making. This is particularly useful if your customers are in financially unstable industries or companies, or if you conduct business with countries that are politically unstable or that employ a restrictive exchange rate policy.
    Integration
If you are using the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) component to manage your accounting and an external system for sales processing, Credit Management enables you to issue a credit limit for each customer. Every time you post an invoice (created in FI-AR), the system then checks whether the invoice amount exceeds the credit limit. Information functions such as the sales summary or early warning list help you to monitor the customer’s credit situation.
If you are using both the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) component to manage your accounting and the Sales and Distribution (SD) component for sales processing, you can also use Credit Management to issue credit limits for your customers. You can make settings in Customizing to decide the scope of the check and at what stage in the process (for example, order entry, delivery or goods issue) a credit limit should take place. General information functions are also available for use with credit checks.
    Features
If you are using both the SD and FI-AR components, Credit Management includes the following features:
Depending on your credit management needs, you can specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle (for example, order entry, delivery, goods issue) the system carries out these checks.
During order processing, the credit representative automatically receives information about a customer’s critical credit situation.
Critical credit situations can also be automatically communicated to credit management personnel through internal electronic mail.
Your credit representatives are in a position to review the credit situation of a customer quickly and accurately and, according to your credit policy, decide whether or not to extend credit.
You can also work with Credit Management in distributed systems; for example if you were using centralized Financial Accounting and decentralized SD on several sales computers.
    Hope this helps you.
Do award points if you found them useful.
    Regards,
    Rakesh
P.S. you can send me a mail at my mail id [email protected] for any specific details

  • Down payments u2013 Credit Management, Sales Value FD32.

    Hi,
We have a problem with the credit management in Down payments. The down payments requests are not decreasing the Sales Value of the client. I mean when I bill a down payment, the sales value of the client in transaction FD32 keep with the same value. I have to bill the next milestone where the down payment is cleared to decrease the sales value of the client.
    Billing Plan
    1º Down payment      200
    2º Final Billing           1000
Bill the down payment. Sales Value FD32 = 1000. It should be 800?
Bill the Final Invoice. Sales Value FD32 = 0.
Are there any way in the customizing to modify this behavior?
Thank you in advance and best regards.

    Hello Alberto,
As you mentioned down payment of 200 and final bill of 1000, generally down payment is received at the start of activity. If you have credit limit say 500 and you receive down payment of 200 then system store down payment in separate GL account and when you carry out business, system first consider consuming down payment and then credit limit. So down payment never consider as sales till it get cleared off as it is before start of business as extra security to manage risk
Same thing happen when you do business with letter of credit
Hope this will resolve your confusion
    Regards,
    Mukul

  • Credit managment against payment terms  and credit limit

    Dear All,
I have two query against credit management
1   Can We maintain credit managment as per payment days. My client want system should give bolck as per payments days, say if payment terms is 30 days and within 30 days customer has not made payment against invoice so sales order should block.        ( sales order will create but shown as block)
2 Credit block with ref to credit limit given to customer,  they want credit block with reference to open order.open delivery and open invoice. Means system will check all open order, all open deliveries and all open invoice while considering credit limit.and give the block accordingly.
I am sure about credit limit but how to give block according to payment days (payment terms) and how to give path to check all open order, all open deliveries and all open invoice.
    waiting for you valuable input.
    Thank you
    SD Consultant

    Hello,
In OVA8, for the combination of credit group & risk category you maintain the following
    (1) CHECK against DYNAMIC with reaction C  & TICK in BLOCK
NOTE:path to check all open order, all open deliveries and all open invoice is maintained in OB45 (update 000012)
    (2) CHECK against OLDEST OPEN ITEM with reaction C & TICK in BLOCK
(do not maintain any value in DAYS OLDEST  ITEM, but maintain the payment terms in the Customer master)
for example, block as per payments days, say if payment terms is 30 days and within 30 days customer has not made payment against invoice so sales order will be blocked.
In both the cases ( credit limit and credit period, the sale orders blocked , can be released by VKM3.

    Hegal

  • Down Payment cleared against invoice but in credit management not updated

    Dear all,
A down payment of 185,000 was cleared against an invoice last year. But that value is still showing in the credit management Special liabilities. The orders are being blocked because of this. what should i do?
    Regards,
    shahzad khero

    Sir,
Clearing has been done in FI via F-39. The document is cleared and is showing in FBL5n cleared data. I think this is an update error or some thing.

  • Credit Management Payment Termwise

    Dear All,
The problem is related to credit management which is explained below by an example -
A party code 2000 has a credit limit of Rs. 100000/- and the payment term assigned to the customer is PM21 in which the amount becomes overdue after 21 days. An invoice has been raised of amount Rs. 50,000 which has consumed half of the credit exposure assigned to the customer code.I want the system to carry out a check & block the transaction at the time of raising any sales order for that party code after completion of 21 days irrespective of credit limit left or on-account adjustments have  already been done within this period.
Please suggest the configurations need to be done to fulfill the requirement.
    Thanks & Regards
    Priyanka Mitra

    Hi Priyanka,
For this requirement u can use, Oldest open item credit check in OVA8 transaction for period wise credit check.
Mark the Oldest open item and tick mark the status/block option & maintain Days oldest item as 21 days.
If your requirement is based on payment terms only means then u should go for new routine development.
I think this will help your need.

  • Credit Report Payment History

I'm trying to figure out how to bump my fair pmt history on 3 reports to good.  Ch 7 was discharged 11/14.  Currently have 5 cards-Credit One CL $700, Merrick CL $700, Barclyacard CL $1,500, Cap One CL $3,000, Cap One QS CL $3,000, Amazon Store CL $2,000.  Car pmt w Toyota.  I have only been allowing $10 to report on one card.  Would allowing $10 to report on more cards bump my payment history to good faster?  In the garden for now. Starting score 629/Current FICO 3  686/652/650.

Consult the courts where they were obtained to determine their actual status. If the courts tell you they are vacated, then dispute their reported status with the CRA's. Yes!

  • Credit Management with advance payment

    Hi,
We have credit management scenario with advance payment.
In most cases the customer pays an advance. This advance may / may not be against a specific Sales order. At the time of checking the Credit limit, the system has to check the customer advance account as well.
We have 2 types of products u2013 standard (fast moving products) for which there is a min stock defined. There is also a non standard product for which there is no min stock defined.
When a customer places order for standard products & pays an advance against that, this advance may be used to deliver any product in any sales order for standard items. Hence for standard products advance is not linked to a sales order.
However, in case a client places an order for Non standard product & pays an advance against that order then that advance cannot be used to deliver a standard product.
This is to ensure that if advance is paid for non standard profiles, then advance paid against that should not be used to clear orders for standard products.
This can be administered correctly by locking an advance received to specific sales orders. This can be done at the time of receipt of advance & order confirmation.
If this is possible then please suggest step by step configuration.

    Hi
If the credit limit is specific to only few customers who pays in advance then you can go with dynamic credit check.
Please go through this link which will help you for configuration

  • Credit Managament: avoid credit block for down payment invoices

    1) Downpayment - when an order is blocked, can we create a billing
document of the downpayment request created in slaes order. Logically
the customer wants to pay for this downpayment immediately and process
    the order
Notes: If credit management is activated at sales order level and In
Milestone Billing scenario or Project Sales order scenario, at Sales
order level we have a Downpayment (Z0000 - Downpayment) Milestone
usage and Other Milestone invoice Usages.
The business requirement is Customer need to pay the downpayment
invoice before executing the Sales order.
In SAP when the Sales order is blocked for Credit Management, system is
not able to create the Downpayment invoice also. to creat the invoice
we have to release the order first. However we dont want to release the
order but want to receivce the downpayment and then may be we can
manually release the order and process. The reason is suppose we have
an automatic release to production or PR or creation of service order,
we would like to process them only after the downapayment, now for
creating the wownpayment invoice for receiving the downpayment, we have
to release the order which shall further process the order
automatically. Please suggest a solution for the same to avoid the
credit block for the Downpayment invoices.

I think this can be enabled easily.
For the combination of Credit Control Area, Credit Group and Risk Category, you should have enabled the Dynamic/Static credit check, you can configure it such a way that it only gives you a warning message and doesnot block your sales order. This should solve ur problem

This is extremely alarming to hear! I need some clarification to help. What do you mean by the bill was terminated? Do you mean your services were stopped? Do you have a prepay or a postpay account with us?
