Payment term thread continuation with that

Thank you all.for your  reply to previous thread of mine.
So in relation to above my requirement is that Cash discount is based on payment term and differs from material to material.
Suppose i maintain a cash discount of 1% for material x and the payment term is payment in 7 days then this 1% should be active on the receipt of payment from the customer within 7 days only otherwise the cash discount does not apply.
Please guide .as no percentage is maintained in payment term because it will be applicable for all the material for that particular customer.

Suppose you have payment term
0003 :
Within 14 days 3 % cash discount
Within 20 days 2 % cash discount
Within 30 days Due net
If you use the condition type SKTO, the payment terms will be activated in the billing document and when the customer makes a payment if the payment date is within 14 days 3% gets activated automatically, within 20 days then 2% and from 20-30 days no cash discount.

AK
Hope I was able to explain properly

  • MM INVOICE created with different Payment Terms and 2 differents PO.

I will explain with an example to understand better the issue and why this could happen, (for the same Co.Code):
On 05.09.2011, 5203795529 was posted with payment terms D030.
At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.

At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.
In OCT, user receives another invoice for this 2 POs (4501232207 & 4501105395) and trying to post MIRO again but this time, user encountered error 'Payment terms in purchase order 4501232207 differ from current terms'. In order to proceed, user has changed payment term for 4501105395 from D030 to D031 on 17.10.2011 and proceed with invoice posting without error. 5203878342 was posted on 17.10.2011.
The vendor always has the same Payment Term: D031
Now the question is, why user is able to post without any problem previously even though there's different payment terms on both POs and not now anymore?.
    Thanks

    Thanks Jayavar,
Nobody has changed anything, (I mean the PO Payment terms),  until October in PO. 4501105395
The error message is when the user try to post with MIRO PO´s (4501232207 & 4501105395):
"Terms of payment in purchase order 4501232207 (always with Payment term D031), differ from current terms"
    Message no. M8349
    Diagnosis:
The terms of payment in the current invoice differ from those in the current purchase order 4501232207, other terms of payment were stipulated:
    Terms of payment key D031
    1st cash discount period 31 days 0,000%
Either you have selected more purchase orders with different terms of payment, or you have changed the terms of payment manually.
But the strange thing is in SEP, there's already this difference & there is no problem posting the invoice & the problem only comes when in OCT.

But in that exit the tables which we are importing having neither payment terms nor order type.
So,can you please help me out .

  • Multiple payment term with different day limit

We have three payment terms with multiple day limit. for example: ED11 (day limit 10),  ED11 (25 day limit) and ED11 (32 days).
User enter just ED11 but i dont understand how system understand which out of the three is the require payment term.
Users feel that due date calculated is wrong. In most case it calculate the due date exactly based on the days mentioned in the payment term. In all cases, days mentioned are 90 days.
In one case, due date if it is (just 90 days) 30/04 but user feels it should be 10th May in the following (obviously he is reffering to ED11 daylimit 10). In this case, SAP calculate 90 days. Is it because of too many payment terms which same name.
    Best,
    Bala

    Hi,
Please go and check the following path.If teh user wants no. of days as 10, then it should be maintained as 10 in the no. of days field in Payment terms. I think in your case it may be maintained as 90.
IMG->Finacial Accounting->General Ledger Accounting->Accounts Receivable and accounts Payable->Business Transactions->Outgoing Invoices/Credit memos->Maintain Terms of Payment->Check No. of days in Payment terms.
Assign points if u consider this to be useful.

  • Payment Terms at Different Levels

    Hi All,
To my understanding, at present, the process of populating the payment terms is as follows:
    1. Payment terms are defined at Supplier/Supplier Site level.
    2. Contract PO is created and during the creation, it takes the default payment terms at Supplier / Supplier Site level based on the priority.
    3. Now, all the standard purchase orders that get created take the payment terms defined at Contract PO if we reference this Contract PO.
    Now my question is
What if the payment terms at Supplier/ Supplier site level gets changed???
The same will not get applied to Contract PO and the new Standard POs continue to take up the payment terms defined at Contract POs.
This scenario is creating the confusion to me.
Can anyone explain the scenario and let me know the way to get Contract PO payment terms get sync with corresponding Supplier/ Supplier site leve payment terms.

    Hi:
Supplier and supplier site values are used to get defaulted to various document level (PO, Invoices, Payments etc) and changing at document/transactional level does not change the values at Master level. So in your case, you need to change the payment term at contract PO level and supplier/site level separately.

  • Re : Payment Terms 40 days due on 10 th month

    Needs Payment Term Configuration  :
Payment Terms 40 days due on 10 th month
    Regards
    Chandu

    Hi,
I presume that your requirement is 40 days due and payable on the 10th of next month.
Here is my suggestion with an illustration.
You can create a payment term, say xxxx, with -
    day limit = 2
    payment terms / fixed date = 10
    payment terms/ additional months = 1
and another payment term, with the same name xxxx, with
    day limit = 31
    payment terms / fixed date = 10
    payment terms/ additional months = 2
This will work as follows -
An invoice dated 1st March, will get paid on April 10th, due date having fallen on April 9th
An invvoice dated 2nd March will get paid on April 10th, due date having fallen on April 10th
An invvoice dated 3rd March will get paid on May 10th, as it will be only 39 days due on April 10th
An invoice dated 1st April, will get paid on May 10th, due date having fallen on May 10th
An invvoice dated 2nd April will get paid on June 10th, as it will be only 39 days due on May10th
An invvoice dated 1st Feb will get paid on April 10th, as it will be only 38 or 39 days due on March10th
As majority of the months have 31 days, I came to a logical conclusion that the day limit can ideally be 2. However, you can decide a date that best suits your requirement.

  • Payment Term/BP on the level of Charge type in FWO

According to business process I have 2 variants of payment term  for transportation with payer:
    1)      Prepaid (paid by Agency1(Payer1) in POL port of Loading)
    2)      Collect (paid by Agency2(Payer2) in POD port of discharge)
    3)      Today customer has  a requirement to issue several settlements from one FWO to different business partners on the level of  charge type.
    Example:
    BP Role: Payer
    BP : Payer 1
Payment term: will pay with term prepaid:
Charge type1 - NTFR (Net Ocean Freight)
Charge type2 - BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor)
    BP Role: Payer
    BP : Payer 2
Payment term: will pay with term collect:
    Charge type3 - DTHC
The problem is how to  combine several terms(prepaid/collect/direct) with several BP Roles(Payer)/BP(Payer1/Payer2)on the level of charge type(service) in FWO.
From the fisrt sight this case could be some way covered by standard on 9.1 functionality of «Charge type activation based on incoterm».
But at the same time we some issues with this standard solution, because we need to split payer and term not only for the whole stage, but also for different charges in one stage. An example of this could be port to port transportation without any pre-carriage or on-carriage, but with OTHC/DTHC that could be paid in any term(P/C) separately by the appropriate agent in POL or POD. At the same time all the transportation costs will be associated only with one stage of transportation.
Do anybody has an idea how to split payment term deeper than level of stage?

    Hi,
You can use the "Flexible Settlement" function in TM9.1.
Assign the charge types to settlement group.
Assign the settlement group to settlement rule.
Assign the settlement rule to settlement profile.

  • Credit memo payment term

    hi,
in customer master, what is credit memo payment term?
what is the difference between credit memo payment term and terms of payment.
i read from F1 but still can't get it.
    thanks
    rgds

    HI
In customer master we define a payment terms as well as Credit memo payment terms.
Like suppose we have for Customer with Payment term = Net 30 days (Z001)
And for the same customer we have defined Credit memo terms = Pay Immediately (Z005).
When we post an Invoice for this customer it will have Payment terms as Z001 i.e. net 30.
Whereas when we post a credit memo for the above invoice it will inherit the new payment terms from Customer master that is, Z005 i.e. due Immediately.
Credit memo payment terms can be same as payment term or different depending on the business requirement.

  • Vendor changes tracking, Payment term filtering, Vendor listing

    Hi All,
Need somebody help on the following points,
1-  While changing the vendor via "process vendor and Bidder" (Business partner maintenance) transaction in EBP, the selection of payment term is restricted.  That is in SPRO I can see lot of payment terms, but while changing the vendor some few payment terms are coming.  Where is the filter?  Can anybody guide me.
2- Vendor changes Tracking.  In our project somebody has changed frequently the vendor indicators and details in EBP via process Vendor and Bidder(BP maintenance) transaction.  But I couldnt able to track which fields are changed and by whom like in R/3.   I tried in BP also, but only the address changed details are coming there.  Can anybody guide me how to track the changes, if somebody changed somefield in EBP directly?
3- Vendor list -  I want list ERS activated vendor in EBP.  How to get the list of vendor for which ERS indicator is active? Please guide me.

    Hi
Please refer to standard transaction - BBP_PD.. give any Shopping cart number, which is approved by a list of buyers, managers, etc..
Incase the changes are made, it will display all the details related to them in that case.
Understand its logic by putting break-point inside.
<b>Incase you are using SRM 5.5 version, there is a  report, which displays the changes made to the Purchase orders with old and new values.
    Report name -> TERM_DISPLAY_CHANGE_HISTORY</b>

  • Default Payment terms from Vendor Master not from Reference PO

    Hello guys,
I am creating a PO in reference to another PO and payment terms are copied from the old PO but not updating from Vendor Master. Our payment terms are changed very frequent and our users don't want to create a new PO with too many line items so they just copy an old PO.
IS there a way to update payment terms form Vendor Master after copying an Old PO? I know this is pretty standard functionality but just trying to see if we can trick the system,
    Thanks
    Ronnie.

If so then convert this into an error message ensuring that the correct payment term to appear in the message, that the users need not search themselves and find out for updating the payment term
One thing is that there is no configuration available for you take care of this automatically, there has to be user exit solution.

  • Unable to change payment terms for BP

    Forum,
I have a system where on the business partner master if we change the payment terms for a business partner the price list is also changing which we do not want it too. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
An example is:- The business partner's payment terms = 30 days with a price list called 'Distributor'
After changing the payment terms it changed the price list 'End User'
And if we change the payment terms back to 30 days it changed the price list again but to another called 'GN Purchase Price GBP'
I look forward to receiving your advise.
    Regards,
    Juan

Noticed afterwards that there is a Price List option within the payment terms screen. This is what's causing them to change.
