PayPal Smart Connect problem

got the credit limit of $700 and only spent $180 so far with 1 confirmed purchase. The other charges were all canceled and never went through but they show up immeaditly and drop the credit limit, so now i have only $80 on it yet i spent only 180 of 700. two charges were from gyft.com and were cancelled because they needed more info or something both of these were 250 because i tried again. the credit limit has never went back up and i am unable to use smart connect. i contacted paypal through email to no avail. plz help

I generally pay the account from Paypal, often from its account balance from eBay sales. Those tend to go faster than from my bank account.

How to REMOVE PayPal Smart Connect from PayPal Account

I've been trying to REMOVE the PayPal Smart Connect from my PayPal Account with no luck. I already cancelled my PayPal Smart Connect. I confirmed today that is cancelled but it's linked to my PayPal Account and I don't find a way to REMOVE it. I wrote to PayPal and they told me PayPal Smart Connect are the only one that can remove it, but I call PayPal Smart Connect and the only option I've been given is to CANCEL the account which is already cancelled. Does anyone know how to REMOVE it??

Disable and remove PayPal SMART CONNECT

I have followed the directives given here in two different and older topics that seemed to pertain to my issue ... PayPal Smart Connect still shows in my PayPal Wallet as a payment option. Until it is removed, I cannot link my Buyer Credit account, nor set the default payment method. PM 5/28 ... mistakenly accepted the PayPal Smart Connect that I thought maybe the name changed from PayPal Buyer Credit. AM 5/29 ... I called the Credit Service Center at 1-866-571-3012 to CLOSE the account. The rep had to read miscellaneous disclosures to me and hear my acceptance that I still wanted to close the account. She then CLOSED the account. Midday on 5/29 .... It is still linked to my PayPal Wallet ... so I sent PayPal customer service a request to change my account and REMOVE the CLOSED/ INVALID PayPal Smart Connect from my account. ... I received an automated response on how to change my password or email address. I replied to that email and again requested the PayPal Smart Connect be removed from my PayPal Wallet. It is a closed account. So after following directives given by PayPal_Frank (392644) and PayPal_Adrian (489740) ... I'm at a loss ... Please help! Do I need to close my PayPal account all together and then re-open it? That makes no sense, but I don't see any other options. Thanks in advance for your time.

I am going to mark the RESOLVED for me, but note to others trying to remove ... You need to CLOSE the Smart Connect account through Synchrony at 866-571-3012, THEN contact PayPal Customer Service via the contact us webform or the number for PayPal.

PayPal Smart Connect & PayPal Credit

For the last 3 months I've been having the issue with not being able to pay my PayPal credit account online. As I look at my money page it shows both my PayPal Smart Connect and PayPal Credit accounts when I click on make a payment for my PayPal Credit account. I called customer service and was told I can't have 2 different accounts tied to one account. So I had to open another PayPal account to connect the PayPal Credit account. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. On top of which it took me over 2 hours on the phone to before I finally got a supervisor on the phone who knew what he was doing and I was able to get this mess figured out. I plan on paying off of both of these accounts and never using them again. Bill Me Later (now PayPal Credit) was better before PayPal got in and **bleep** it up.

SBH52 and Smart Connect problems

Hi everyone, I just found some problems with my new Z2 and SBH52
- Sometimes SBH52 connected, Walkman started, tracks played, but there's no sound.
- After turning off SBH52, the notification "SBH52 disconnected" can't be cleared from Notifications panel (turning Bluetooth off will clear it)
- Smart Connect can not turn off Bluetooth automatically with events End Action: Turn off Bluetooth
- Smart Connect adjust wrong Volume settings (I set Music: 2, Ring: 4, Alarm: 4 but Smart Connect keeps setting it to Music :1, Ring :3, Alarm: 3)

I connected SHB52 with my xperia Z3 tablet compact compact.
I also have the similar problems as RoWe.
In addition, when I touch any button on screen (such as back, home, links in browser including notification bar), the music function of SBH52 will switch between play/pause instantly all the time. If I didn't notice that it is showing ▶ on music function screen, the SBH52 will be disconnected from my Z3TC. The notification bar is still remain connected but it didn't! I have to turn off Bluetooth and off the SBH52 then then on both to be able to use it again every time.
Please help! This is very big issue for me.

Smart Connect account number - ever resolved?

Seriously? The option to change font family, font size, font color, etc., is considered "invalid HTML"???? OHHHHkayyyy then! Ok... I read a couple comments from a couple years ago regarding obtaining the full account number to our own Smart Connect account, but I did NOT see where anyone had found an answer. I have never posted here - the whole PayPal/Smart Connect website is confusing enough without trying to figure out what I'm doing here!!! Is there a way to obtain my full account number or not? I cannot currently locate a PAPER copy of the statement, but would THINK it would be found there! It does not appear on the PDF versions. Any help??? sigh.......... Thanks!

I am sorry to hear your frustrations about PayPal Smart Connect. Unfortunately, PayPal does not distribute the full Smart Connect account number as this is an account that can only be used for PayPal transactions.

Is there a Problem with Smart Connect

After the recent update of the smart connect app, my Xperia z1 keeps flashing up that headphones are connected when they are not. Is anyone else experiencing this, and is there a solution as its very annoying

This may very well be related to the update to the app, simply clearing the Smart Connect application should help resolve this.
Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Smart Connect > Clear Data

Smart Playlist Problems (Since Ver 5)

I have come across a problem, which I believe started when I installed Version 5.
I have many SMART playlists set up that are really for my iPod usage. They are set to pick certain tracks that have not been heard in xxx amount of days, and usually set to a certain number of songs, or a particular amount of time.
The ones I use most often:
SLEEP MUSIC - a playlist of random songs not played in the last 5 days limited to 90 minutes. I listen to this when I go to bed.
WORK MUSIC - a playlist of 100 random songs not played in the last 5 days. I play this through my inMotion dock at work.
Previously, all the smart playlists worked fine. When the songs were played, the playlist would update on the iPod and the next time I would enter that playlist on the iPod, the tracks would be different.
It still works this way as long as I don't connect my iPod to my PC and sync with iTunes. If I do, it always resets the iPod playlists to the songs that appear in the iTunes library. I rarely use these playlists on the PC, so they almost always stay the same.
It seems like in previous versions, iPod would update the iTunes library and the smart playlists would also be updated in iTunes, so that the iPod versions of the playlists would continue to be random. But now, if the playlist is different on the iPod, it will not transfer over to iTunes. Instead, the iTunes playlist is copied back over to my iPod, and I keep getting the same playlists over and over.
This is a major annoyance, as I usually sync my iPod every day since I am constantly updating my library.
I've also noticed that when I synch my iPod, it is copying over songs that are already there, and it always seems to be copying songs I recently played in the iTunes library.
I know that if the tag info is changed, or I add album art to a track, it will be copied over to the iPod again, but I am not making any changes to these tracks, just playing them in iTunes. I don't know if this is related to the smart playlist problem or not.
I thought about unchecking LIVE UPDATE on those playlists that cause a problem, but that doesn't work, as now I'd ALWAYS have the same playlist.
So, my next thought is to use the "Only update selected playlists" option in the preferences to exclude those playlists that have this problem. If I do this, will new music I add still be copied over to my iPod?
Has anyone else encountered these problems?
FYI - I have not updated to the latest iPod update because of smart playlist problems people were having. I have version 1.1 on my 60GB photo. Would updating perhaps fix this problem?
My bottom-line thought on this is that iTunes updates the iPod, but the iPod no longer updates the iTunes library as it previously did. My reasons for thinking this are 1) The playlist problems I am having as stated above, and 2) I notice when I change the ratings on the iPod, they are not changed in iTunes. I am going to do a test and change the rating on a track on the iPod, then I will synch my iPod to see if the track is updated in iTunes, or the file is copied back to the iPod with the old rating.

Reagrding tracks being copied over again, I've seen another post in iPod Lounge where that person indicated the same thing. He stated that the play count was not being updated between the iPod and iTunes, but that the tracks were being copied over again. This sounds like a good explanation of this problem.
I have now noticed many of the tracks which I know I have played in the past show a "0" play count. Are the play counts kept in the iTunes library files (iTunes.xml and iTunes.itl)?
I always save the library files, so that when I reinstall iTunes I can just copy these 2 files back to their proper locations and I have my entire library intact - playlists and all. My music library is on a different drive.
Anyway, I KNOW I have played these tracks on the iPod, and yet they show unplayed on iTunes. This is probably another symptom of the re-copying tracks problem.

Connection Problem HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910

we are experiencing connection problems with the Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Printer/Scanner.
The device is connected via Wireless Network and can reach the server (e.g. for storing scanned images).
When we try to access the printer (or scanner) with a Computer (WinPC or Mac) that is also connected via the same Wireless Network, the printer/scanner cannot be reached (host unreachable), i.e. even a simple PING to the network address (IP V4) of the printer/scanner cannot be completed. As soon as we connect the computer via wired LAN, the printer/scanner can be reached again (normal operation). Between both states (computer connected via Wireless Network or Wired LAN) no changes were made to the configuration of the printer/scanner. It simply is unreachable when the computer trying to connect to the printer/scanner is connected via Wireless Network.
We have looked at different firewall settings of the Wireless Router but did not find anything, the firewall is deactivated (as the router operates behind a firewall, as does the whole LAN).
I already switched on the "compatibility to 802.11b/g" in the advanced network settings of the printer, no effect.
Anyone got a smart idea why this is so? We tried with different computers and different operating systems, but always the same picture...

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Smart connect not working with headphones

smart connect app has stopped working with headphones, have tried emptying data and also restored the phone to factory settings, but still nothing with any pair of headphones, I have installed the soundabout app and all headphones are working with that, so wondering if it is a software problem rather than the headphone jack that is the problem, any advice please?

You tried a factory reset - Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so backup what you need 1st - This is not the same as a factory reset but will achieve the same outcome
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Smart Connect can't turn off Bluetooth

Hello,
I purchased an Xperia Z3 Compact and Smart Connect is unable to turn off Bluetooth at the end of an action. Below is the setup I have been trying to get work.
- Bluetooth turned on manually
- Turn on Bluetooth headphones.
Smart Connect:
- Start Action:
     - Connect Bluetooth headphones
     - Start Walkman App
     - Play track
     - Adjust Volumes
- End Action:
     -Disconnect Bluetooth headphones
     - Pause track
     - Turn off Bluetooth
The problem is that the Bluetooth will not turn off and I must do it manually. The Bluetooth on and off works for wired headphones, but not for Bluetooth headphones. Can this be addressed or at least send me information to get this fixed?

Smartwatch 2 connectivity Problem

I am from Pakistan. I've purchased a Sony Smartwatch 2 and tried to connect it with my Huawei G610, Qmobile A600 and Q mobile A900 with jelly bean 4.2.1. it connects successfuly with bluetooth without installing Sony Smart Connect. But after installation of SmartConnect, My all devices are showing it as an available devices under bluetooth but do not store it as paired device for more than 2 seconds. I reset my phones and SW2 many times but no gain.
Then I tried it on Huawei Y320 with Jelly bean 4.2.2. And on this phone it is working without any problem. I think Sony SmartConnect software has some compatibility issue with Jellybean 4.2.1. Because my all other devices are paired without any problem. And before installation of SonySmartConnect, my SW2 was getting paired with my phones without any problem.
Please help.

i have been trying to connect the smartwatch with a Neken N6 android 4.2.1. the smartwatch works fine, we've tried the watch on a xperia z1 and it works fine.
this are the options we've tried on the neken n6
- clear bleutooth cache
- delete user data and cache from the smart connect application
- reset AND updated the smartwatch to newest software version
none of these options seems to work. we are able to connect the watch to the phone, but seconds after pairing it loses its connection. The watch itself says that the connections has been made but wil not continue to the homescreen.
this seems to e be the problem on more phones from china, is there any difference in the bleutooth protocol of some sort?
do you have any other solutions?

SBH52 Galaxy s4 find phone smart extension problem

I have just bought SBH52 and i love it But i have a problem, ı am using samsung galaxy s4 (i9500) and there is no connection problem also i can use other extensions like messaging, email, twitter but i can't use "find phone" extension. I am installing it but can't see it in my aplications tab in smart connect. So am doing something wrong or just extension bug?

Micro USB charge/connect Problems

Had my Z1 3 weeks now, charge every night using DK31 magnetic dock.
I've completed 2 backups using Media Go on desktop computer but last night when I connected phone to computer (using Sony lead) it kept buzzing every 3-4 secs with the notification bar scrolling with the "smart connect" turning the screen to clock, (as I preset it when docked), if I turn that off the notification bar is ok but the next alarm set shown under the date on home screen flicks on and off.
If I turn that off (alarm) the phone will connect to computer and show usb connection in top bar but then get a warning that charger is not sufficient and you can watch battery draing around 1% every minute whilst connected.
If I disconnect then phone returns to normal.

Taken phone back to local EE business centre tonight just as they were about to close but was told to call customer services as " we are only salespeople" and can't handle technical queiries/faults here !!!
