  • Difference Between Current Day and fist day of the payroll period

    Hi,
How do i find the difference between the current day and the first day of the payroll period with period parameter XX.
Operation VARSTFDYXX is used to decide if the current day is the first day of the payroll period. But is there any operation available to check the difference in exact number of days.
I know hrs=y is used to find difference between current day and a date specification record from IT0041, but i need to check difference between current day and first day from a payroll period parameter.
    Any response is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Imaneul Rajiv

No! haven't seen it at all! Do I have to drain the battery completely and then charge it? I did that the first day I bought the phone and yet the stats are the same for me
PS: I am referring to the Call Time stats and not the Usage/Standby stats

  • Difference in the FM reading the payroll results

    Dear Freinds,
I would like to know what is the difference  between retro and offcylce payments how can we find out in the pc_payresult the retro data?, i am able to find out for the offcle when in the pc_payresult if we have offcyle payment date we can find the offcyle results . Which scenarios we have to read the retro and offcyle ?
Because when iam reading the pc_payresult , i have done as below
thorugh the function module cu_rgdir i have fetched the data which having strtza eq A into the internal table  i_rgdir  then passing the seqnr in to the FM and   'PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT'  ..... then i found iam not able  get the O and P  data  because iam reading only A.
now my first question is  when we should be reading the O and P data in which situations
secondly i wanted to know does offcyle and retro has any relationship with O and P ......or we can get the offcycle and retro data with  SRTZA eq A  only ?
third question for offcyle and retro case do we have any specific function modules to retrive or we can use the same FM and   'PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT'  .
Please if any one can explain me it would be great help.
    thanks & regards
    divya

    hi,
first of all kindly use different heading for different queries ....i just replied one with same heading.
    now the answers:
in pc _pay result there are fields inper and forper ie in period and for period .inper stands for period in which payroll was run and fper stands for period for which payroll was run....
suppose you got promoted in september and company wants to give you salery with effect from march ..then they do retro active payroll run...for this the forper is less than inper.
second case: suppose you make your lta claims....they dont come with the salery but it comes seperately every month say on 23rd....then in this case off cycle payroll is run.
now strtza is of 3 type a , p and o...a for current record ,p for previous record and o for old record.
for a particular person suppose the payrol area was monthly ...ie he gets salery each month...now his payoll was run on 25th of month so its strtza will be a ie active....now on 26 his retro payroll is run....then this record will have strtza as a and for record on 25th will change to p.
again the retro payoll is run on 28th then strtz for 28-a for 26p and for 25--o ie old
so if you want to check if the record is retro you have to see that forper is less than inper.
    you can use same fm.
    hope i am clear

  • Can someone explain the logic of retro in payroll??? and difference between /551 , /552 , /553..

    Hi gurus,
I am learning Sap at this point of time. Requesting you all to clear the concept of  Retro and PCR which is responsible??
I have gone through the previous links but still insist you to explain the same with an example.
    Thnks in Advance!!!
    Have a great day!!!
A day without sharing knowledge is a Day Wasted- Greek saying.
    Regards,
    PP

    Example from T512W_D table:
The employee receives an amount of 100.00 for the period 01/97. When retroactive accounting is run, this amount increases to 110.00. The amount 10.00 is created in wage type /551. When retroactive accounting is run again, the amount is reduced again to 100.00. This time, wage type /551 is not created since the amount no longer differs from the original net pay.
When retroactive accounting takes place, the system creates wage types /551 (Recalculation difference) and /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month).
The difference between the old net pay (wage type /560) and the new amount calculated is stored in wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) in the payroll period for which retroactive accounting was run.
The amount is then transferred from wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) to wage type /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month) in the original period. Both wage types are stored in results table RT at the end of the payroll run, wage type /551 with its +/- sign reversed.
    Example
Creation of /553 and connection between /551 and /553:
       January in January
       /560    1000.00
January in February  February in February
       /560    1100.00          /560     1100.00
       /551     100.00          /552      100.00
       /553     100.00
January in March     February in March    March in March
       /560    1150.00          /560     1100.00     /560  1100.00
       /551     150.00           /552      100.00     /552    50.00
       /553      50.00
If the current payroll run is for March, the system determines wage type
/553 by comparing the new net pay (for January in March) with the net
pay from the last payroll result for the period (January in February).
By contrast, wage type /551 is formed by comparing the net pay for
January in March with the net pay from the original period, i.e. January
       in January.

  • Difference Between OTL Retro Entry and Salary Change Retro Entry in Payroll

    Hi Everyone,
We are developing a custom interface from Payroll to Projects which will post all the entries from OTL.
    OTL->Payroll->Projects
We are stuck with identifying the Difference Between OTL Retro Entry and Salary Change Retro Entry when we process Retropay in Payroll.
After retropay, we come we would see the retro element entries for both them with same name and creator_type is either EE or RR for both them.
In our interface we have to treat retro entries through OTL and Salary Change in differentway.
Has anyone can give some suggestions on this please asap as we are heading towards UAT very soon.
    Thanks in Advance..!!
    Anand

    Hi Anand,
Element with creator_type RR are created/generated by Retropay.
Elements with creator_type EE are regular element entries.

  • What is the differences between Indian and US Payroll..??

    Dear Friends,
Please let me know what is the differences between Indian and US Payroll..?? And also please mention points how to configure posting of payroll. i mean how exactly HR consultant interact with FICO team for payments of employees.
    Regards
    Ahmed.

    Ahmed,
A big difference is probably payroll taxes in the US. In order to configure the system to accumulate the correct taxable wages, you have to configure the tax models. In order to actually compute the taxes, you have to use third party software from BSI (Business Software Inc) that is connected to the system.  BSI must also be configured.
Some of the taxes are expenses (because they are not deducted from the employees) for the organization and some are liabilities, as they are deducted from the employee. The users will be able to tell you how to account for each type of tax.

    Howard

  • What's the difference between  compensation and payroll  in SAP?

    Can someone give a answer?
    Thanks!

    Hi James,
SAP Compensation is for Employee Merit Increase, Bonus, Equity etc.. It helps to setup rules for Employee eligibility and propose % increase or flat amount ..Once you apply compensation, it has option to create/change infotype 8, 15 .. You can create 267 through user exit.. Once you activate applied compensation for an employee, corresponding infotype records get created/changed (8 or 15 or 267)..which will get processed by SAP Payroll subsequently..
    Hope this help.

  • Need help in Payroll Tax Balance Issue - Urgent

    Hi,
Please help me with the following Tax and Balance issue. The system is on 12.0.3, South African Legislation.
Issue : Salary has been restructured from Basic Salary to Total package structure in Dec 2008. Retro Pay was used to pay the difference amounts in Dec Run. But while configuring the new Elements for this Total Package they have missed out adding the Retro Elements to Proper Tax calculating Balances.
Eg : "TP Salary" element is fed to "Taxable Income RFI" balance but "TP Retro Salary" element is not fed to this balance.
So tax has not been calculated for those Retro amounts. This has been identified while validating test run for IRP5 tax certificates.
The Feb 09 (Feb is the Tax year End for payroll) Payroll was already run on 10th and payments were already done. Now we need to tax the retro amounts and retrieve the balance tax amounts from Employees.
I added the proper tax balances to those Retro elements and and the balances were adjusted to add the Retro amounts. Then I ran the Feb run the payroll again as of 20th, it did not recalculate the tax.
How to recalculate the tax so that correct tax reflects in the Tax certificates? Please help me with the necessary Info.
    Thanks,
    Sri.

    Hi,
As I mentioned earlier, I added the appropriate balances which are used to calculate Tax to Retro Elements and those Balances got updated with the delta amount but Tax was not updated. I want to know is there any process provided by Oracle using which Tax for those already paid amounts can be recalculated.
I calculated the Tax manually and using Adjust Balance form added ZA_TAX_BALANCE_ADJUSTMENT Element and given the difference tax amount in PAYE and Tax Input values and saved the form. The Tax got updated.
    Tax_ASG_RUN - 15000
Tax_ASG_TAX_YTD - 153257.32 (Prev - 138257.32). When I run the IRP5 (Tax Certificate Process) the tax is also getting correctly on it.
But client wants Oracle to calculate the Tax for those retro amounts so thats the challenge.
Could you help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Sri

  • Issue Retro Payroll with currency

    Dear all!
I have problem, i try to find out the reason but not succeed. I am using Payroll Schema running for employee in India, of course currency is INR. However I hired 1 employee with currency as USD. The rate 1 USD = 46 INR. Decimal of INR is 3 in V_CURX, but USD I cannot find in V_CURX, but check in basic pay is 2.
If I run actual payroll for this PF on hiring period, there is NO issue. However because he joined after current payroll closed, so in next month we will run payroll for this guy. With my case, his previous salary is 1000 USD ( corrrect) and now is 3000 USD. So the Net pay in payslip is 4000 ( CORRECT). But the problem is Arrears in payslip, it not 1000, it show 10004610 (I guess multi 10 because of difference decimal) = 460000.
As I know, currency in Basic Pay will be used and standard for this PF, but why running retro, it multi with ratr?
Although Net Pay is correct, but if we send his payslip, he will confuse & may send why& why. Could you please help me to explain me why? and where I can check decimal ( I just found INR in V_CURX not USD).
Your good answer will be appreciated!
    Please help me!
    Regards!
    Woody.

    Dear experts!
Please help me to solve my problem above?
And could you please just guide me how SAP retro in first period ( Hiring or rehiring) that employee is maintained in other currency not default currency & bring this value into next period?
I am looking forward to receiving your replies!
I already try to check the operation: ADDWTD1009 -> the value will be count as I mentioned in entry above, but when I use ADDWTE1009, the value is correct. Could you tell me the special logic when update value into Difference Table? maybe I guess there are some exceptions especially employee's currency deffer with Default currency.
    Regards!
    Woody.

  • Having issue in Payroll function P0014 with Payment model in Info type 0014

    Hi All,
I configured payment model for bi-weekly payroll area.
Payment  model is configured in a way that deduction/payment only happen in first pay period of a month in IT0014.
Position 5 in table T549X payment in first pay period of 2011.. partial in Dec 2010 and in Jan 2011.
Position 6 in table T549X Pay period 2 --> should not be any deduction/payment
Position 7 in table T549X Payment in third pay period
Position 8 in table T549X Pay period --> should not be any deduction/payment
Position 9 in table T549X Payment in 5th pay period
I checked logic of payroll function P0014
In perform "chck_last_pay" which is specific to P0014 or W0014
In Pay period 1 function reads pay period which is greater than 1 in this case it is 2
    LOOP AT T549z WHERE ( pabrp > $pabrp AND pabrj = $pabrj )
                        OR ( pabrj > $pabrj ).       "#EC PORTABLE
    period = $i549z-pabrp(2) + 4.   Pay period 2 +4 = 6
In 6th position of table T549X PP02 exist ; there should not be any payment/deduction
ASSIGN COMPONENT period OF STRUCTURE t549x TO <period>.
so after exiting from this perform payroll function checks CRT there is no monthly payment so deduction happen .
However becasue of above loop and read statement in perform chck_last_pay there is no deduction/payment from PP03.
So I want to know how can I resolve this issue, any suggestion or idea.
    Thanks

Hi Payment model is attached to premium wage type specific to company.
    I only found difference.
If following values are not matched then system do not calculate deduction as it supposed to do.
    T549R-ZEINH <> T54C2-ZEINH
If following 2 values are matched then deduction payment model works at it suppose to work.
    in my case
    In table T549R
For Bi weekly payroll area Period parameter (PERMO) is 04
and time unit (ZEINH) is also set to 04.
    However in table T54C2
    Cumulation type (CUMTY) is M
and its time unit is (ZEINH) is 01
    In table T549W
    Model is ZPBI
    Date modifier is 00
    Period parameter (PERMO) is 04
    Cumulation type PPERM  is M
any suggestion what should I do in this case.
    Thanks,

    Retroaction and End of Year
    Purpose
If you need to use retroaction over end of year, for example when overtime entered in period 12 is to be paid in period 1, or backdated pay increases applied in the new tax year are to start in the previous tax year, you can do this without this changing any statutory balances in the previous tax year.
    Process Flow
If you make any changes over end of year that trigger retroaction, this will not affect the statutory balances in the previous tax year.
However, a change that affects total gross, for example, will be recorded and summed into a wage type called /A01 (Total Gross). The /A01 value will feed a wage type called /Z01 (Total Gross), which will be passed across to the new tax year, ensuring that any retro differences will only affect statutory cumulatives in the new tax year, but will not compromise period 12 statutory cumulatives that may already have been used for end of year reporting.
The following wage types were introduced to enable retroaction over end of year:
    u2022     /A01
    u2022     /A12
    u2022     /AMP
    u2022     /AP0
    u2022     /AP1
    u2022     /ASP
    u2022     /Z01
    u2022     /Z12
    u2022     /ZMP
    u2022     /ZP0
    u2022     /ZP1
    u2022     /ZSP

    Hi,

    Please help me in this.
    Kind Regards,

What exactly is your problem. UK tax is on a cumulative basis, and typically there are slabs with different rates,  so it is difficult too work out a percentage for each wagetype.
