I need some help to make this computer quite, i've looked in side the pm g5 and the sound is definitely coming from the fan next to the speaker (pci fan) i've tried the turn off unplug and turn back on method and no luck, tired to look on forums but no help.
any solutions for the sound?
and btw its a constant hum

Have you checked out the iStat widget to see what the computer thinks the fan should be doing? If you search this discussion on iStat you should find a download link for it somewhere. Also, Temperature Monitor is a helpful application as well. Again, a search should find a download link for it.

I have purchased a Bose portable speaker to connect to my ipod touch, the ipod finds the speaker ok and the music plays whilst the ipod is next to it but once I start to walk away from the speaker the music stops, if i walk back towards the speaker the music starts again, you are suppoed to be able to walk around with ipod in your hand and play the music, change tracks etc. I bought the Bose speaker as someone I know already has one and showed me theres and how it worked, he can walk away from the speaker with his ipod touch no problem, so I dont know why mine wont, same speaker, same ipod, does anyone know

I have a 2005 Jaguar xj8. When I tried to upgrade my 3gs to a 4g two years ago, I got a ticking noise in the speaker and no one on the other end could hear me. I had to go back to a 3gs. My phone is shot and I need to upgrade. Has there been a fix to the problem? Apple told me there was some sort of interference with the airbag system. Jaguar was totally unhelpful.

On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?
In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???
Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...

I bought one Iphone a 3 weeks ago and I can´t listen what people speak with me, because de microphone doesn´t work, I need to use the speaker, somebody know what I need to do?
Just thought that I'd report that I've decided on my solution.
It seems that just making do with what I can find on the US store is the easiest and perhaps also the best way of going about it. All other methods mean trouble. I'm lucky that China hasn't outright blocked the US store, as they HAVE blocked iTunes music store in China already (something about a song about Tibet caused them to block the store entirely).
So yeah, just going to deal with it I guess. I should be grateful I'm getting anything at all, considering the country I'm in. Still, I just feel so ripped off sometimes when I pay for expensive devices and I can't even get much out of them do to my region. iPhones cost around $700 in China because there's no company like AT&T that you can just sign a contract with to get one, so you have to pay up-front for the phone, and get less features out of it in the end. Makes buying smart phones look like a waste of time and money sometimes, since you can't use the device to do what it was built to do due to censorship and not having any content for your region (though they do have a lot of Chinese apps that I can't use due to not knowing Chinese). -
so i got a new ipod touch 4th generation and about three days after the internal speaker stopped working. i was dumb and didn't return it because it worked again for about a month and then stopped. and i was pass the 90 day return time. so i am screwed and now the speaker will work for about 10 minutes every two months so it isnt that handy to me. i know it isn't blown because it will randomly work and when it does i hope it doesn't turn off. i have seen allot of things about this and i think that it is a apple ipod think because allot of other people have this problem. so i think it is great that apple has made these products it is just sad that u pay 200$ for something that breaks after two months. i think they should do a free replacement for any product that has a malfunction because it isn't my fault it is broken and then they expect u to pay another 75$ so they can take it just to give u a refurbished one that will do the same thing.
Walk it into the nearest Apple Store, politely describe your issue and see what they say there.

As tonefox says, all iphones have ony one speaker on the bottom.

You see a red light , you see it a lot more in the dark and it fades and comes back and it's right but the speaker underneath the camera in the front .

Just one speaker wont work and its not the speaker
the rear left speaker is...well..has no sound but random crackling, i've switched speakers and its still the same thing on that channel, i've switched the wires still the same thing on that channel. there is nothing wrong with the speaker or the wire, the rear right speaker is just fine. i suspect the rear left plug is screwed. Also in windows it is set to 7.1 in the sound options thing.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?

It looks like you are not able to Boot into the Operating System on your Notebook.

According to the error message you have posted I suspect there could be a hardware issue on your Notebook.
It could be possible that the Hard Drive on the Notebook could be corrupted or it might have bad sectors.

When I receive or make a phone call, I have to hit the speaker phone icon to hear the conversation and so does everyone else around me.
My phone was perfect until I updated to the newest version.
The person making the call can hear me, but I cant' hear them until I push the speakerphone.
Any resolve to this please and thankyou.Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

Actually, I think what your seeing is the proximity detector. The FaceTime camera is above the speaker. The proximity detector is hard to see under most circumstances.
